Frieder's Weinstube in Obersulm

⸻ Two of us were dining and asked the waitress beforehand if we could sit at the table offered – which she emphatically agreed. Drinks arrived later than the food, and both dishes were missing a side dish and salad. We understand that it can take a little longer when the restaurant is busy, but a 30-minute wait and three requests for simple sides and salad is simply too much. After this time, our meat was cold, and the only solution the waitress suggested was to reheat the already opened meat in the kitchen. We were by no means keen on not paying for our meal, but we disagreed with this – a dish should be served fresh and not reheated after 30 minutes just because the side dishes were missing. When we asked, the manager responded unprofessionally, rudely, and disrespectfully in the presence of other guests. He even literally told us not to pay "if we were happy with it." He also falsely portrayed us as people who had sat down at a reserved table without asking. Of course, we still paid for the drinks we consumed. In the end, the manager told us not to come back. We've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant before—absolutely disappointing.

We were there for the first time yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. Eating under grapes, of course, we had turkey schnitzel with fries and spaetzle with salad...it was delicious, and the service was world-class! So friendly, courteous, and fast! And now for the wine: Cabernet Mitos dry, barrique, an incredibly excellent wine... We took a bottle home with us, as did the Lemberger, which also impressed us... Thank you so much for the lovely evening with you, we'll definitely be back...

Best potato salad ever! Great restaurant for when you're hungry after a long bike ride. Super friendly staff and fantastic food. The delicious wine rounds it all off.

We're new here at OSU (Affaltrach) and today was our first time at your place, and definitely not the last. It was great: delicious food, excellent wine, and fantastic, prompt, and very friendly service. We really enjoyed it; it was a lovely Sunday evening!

Service 10/10 Salad 10/10 The best after a wine hike!

The roast pork had no crackling at all and contained large chunks of fat. The fries were so-so. The salad was nothing special. The oxtail spritzer was served in a half-liter beer glass and at an absolutely exorbitant price. Never again!

Salad with Maultaschen and sausage salad with fries were both very good. We'd be happy to come back.

Very friendly and attentive service. We had schnitzel and wild boar – both were excellent. The apple pie was also delicious and not too sweet! Great value for money. Free parking is available. We can recommend it without reservation.

Our local friend took us here during a tourist stay. There was a quiet room and friendly service. The bratwurst and cheese spaetzle were excellent. The wines are highly recommended, especially the “Nachtgeist” and the “Eidechsengarten”. Contrasting tastes, very exciting, very tasty.

Schöner Ort gutes Essen im Sommer im Garten ist es schön

Immer wieder schön hier. Lokale Weinstube/Besen. Es gibt auch Bier zu trinken und das Essen ist soweit gut! Wir sind hauptsächlich im Sommer da, wenn man draußen sitzen kann. Die Außenplätze sind sehr schön und für Kinder gibt es einen kleinen Spielplatz. Einziges kleines Manko- man sitzt relativ nah an der, nicht allzuviel befahrenen, Hauptstraße von Sülzbach ;-).

Immer wieder sehr gut seit Jahren kommen wir hierher Frieder kocht immer sehr gut .Die Bedienung ist sehr gut. Wenn viel los ist kann es vorkommen dass man etwas länger warten muss aber ich finde das ist überhaupt kein Problem für uns. Und der Wein ist auch sehr gut.

Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut, der Winzer versteht sein Handwerk. Das Personal war trotz starker Frequentierung freundlich und flott.

Es tut mir sehr leid da ich aus Versehen gepostet habe ich wollte eigentlich 4 Sterne posten da das Essen gut reichlich dazu noch günstig ist

Hier stimmt wirklich alles. Extrem guter Wein, leckeres Essen und schöner Außenbereich zum Verweilen. Sehr lohnenswert.

Ich gehe hier schon viele Jahre gerne mit meiner Familie essen. Das Essen ist immer lecker und die Weine fantastisch. Nehme mir immer 2,3 Flaschen mit nach Berlin wenn ich zu Besuch bin 🥰😋

Hach, einfach gutes, leckeres Essen. Draußen sitzt man herrlich. Wir haben schon öfters Familienfeiern dort gehabt und von Essen und Service begeistert. Ruhig mal vorbeigehen!

Es ist ein schönes Gefühl dort zu sein. Gutes Essen und Weine und nette Bedienung. Einfach eine schöne Atmosphäre. Man kann es nur empfehlen.

Hat alles gepasst sehr freundliche Bedienung essen war auch lecker

2x besucht, hat viel Spass gemacht, sehr freundliche Familie, der Senior-Chef ist Metzgermeister, die Kalbsbratwürste waren himmlisch. Passend dazu die Weine vom Weingut A. Heinrich (Familie, Bruder), tolles Preisniveau, im Vinum-Guide 2021 erwähnt. Für diese Bewertung: ausgezeichnet. Sauvignon Blanc 2020 QbA trocken gut gekühlt ganz hervorragend trinkbar (Flasche außer Haus 9,90€). gesamt sehr empfehlenswert und erholsam.

Gutes Essen, freundliche schnelle Bedienung und ausgezeichneter Wein, was will man mehr.
