Hervorragendes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service.

Wir kamen an, nachdem die Küche bereits geschlossen hatte, aber sie öffneten sie extra für uns wieder und bereiteten uns köstliches Essen mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft zu :)

Habe kein Bild vom Essen und können das Essen auch nicht bewerten da wir kein Essen bekommen haben. Nach einer Stunde Wartezeit haben wir bei der Bedienung, bei der wir die Essensbestellung aufgegeben haben, nachgefragt. Antwort: "bei wem habt ihr die Bestellung aufgegeben? Die Küche ist jetzt schon zu. Tut uns leid!" Komisch war auch die vielen "reservierten Tische" wo gar niemand mehr kam. Weitere kommende Gäste wurden weg geschickt. Während unserer vergeblichen Wartezeit wurden andere Gäste wohl aber zu ihrer Zufriedenheit bedient.

Eine Wartezeit aufs Essen von 1 Stunde ist mit Kleinkind zu viel. Dass sie transparent kommuniziert wurde und, dass vorher eine geschlossene Veranstaltung war, ändert nichts daran, dass diese schöne und familienfreundliche Location für uns in diesem Fall keine Option war. Wir rufen nächstes Mal vorher an und fragen, wie die Lage ist.

Lachsfilet mit einer super leckeren Soße! Rollladen wie von Mama! Weinkarte ausbaufähig! Ansonsten gibt’s Nix zu meckern! Hunde werden gerne gesehen! Es gab sofort ein Schälchen Wasser! Wäre mein Stammlokal !

Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich für das wunderbare Mittagessen anlässlich unserer Hochzeit bedanken. Von der liebevollen Dekoration über den hervorragenden Service bis hin zum ausgezeichneten Essen – alles war perfekt organisiert und umgesetzt. Das gesamte Personal war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, sodass wir und unsere Gäste uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Markus und Kim für die hervorragende Organisation und die reibungslose Planung. Man hat jederzeit gemerkt, mit wie viel Engagement und Herzblut gearbeitet wurde. Wir können dieses Lokal uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder hier feiern. Vielen Dank für diesen gelungenen und unvergesslichen Tag!

Wir waren zu unserem 10 -jährigen Hochzeitstag dort und haben, trotz geschlossener Gesellschaft, vorher kurzfristig einen Tisch bekommen. Man platzierte uns in die "Kuschelecke" und kredenzte uns eine Flasche Sekt auf Kosten des Hauses. Das Essen -Spargel mit Wildlachs- und zum Nachtisch Lava Kuchen- war vorzüglich. Von uns gibt es 10 Punkte von 10. Danke für den schönen Abend!

FRANZ - Restaurant & Weinbar ist einfach fantastisch! Spontan nach freien Plätzen gefragt. Hatten Glück, dass noch 4 Plätze frei waren, denn es hat sich gelohnt. Tolles Ambiente, super freundliches Personal und richtig gutes Essen. Ich habe den Lachs bestellt, und er war perfekt zubereitet, saftig, zart und genau auf den Punkt gegart. Besonders begeistert hat mich die Krabbensoße dazu. Ich esse sehr gerne Fisch und hatte so eine Kombination bisher noch nie probiert. Die Soße war einfach hervorragend und hat perfekt zum Lachs gepasst. Allein dafür würde ich wiederkommen. Großes Lob an die Küche! Der Service war ebenso hervorragend. Unser Sohn hat beschrieben, was er gerne mag, und der Cocktail hat seinen Geschmack perfekt getroffen. Auch die anderen Gerichte haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Schöne Einrichtung, freundlicher Service, aber das Essen war an zwei Abenden leider nicht gut. Die Ofenkartoffel mit Pilzsoße enthielt Dosenpilze und kalte Kartoffeln. Das Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes eines anderen Gastes war hingegen ein Genuss. Am nächsten Abend bestellten wir Spargel (Mai) und bekamen beide Dosenspargel. Diesmal war das Wiener Schnitzel klein und trocken, und die Kartoffeln im zweiten Gericht waren wieder hart und kalt. Was uns an diesem Restaurant besonders gut gefiel, war, dass Hunde willkommen waren. Die Portionen könnten mit besseren Zutaten und mehr Sorgfalt in der Küche zubereitet werden.

Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service ebenfalls und die Atmosphäre großartig. Ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank!

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich rustikal im positiven Sinne, das Essen war Tip top, Cordon Bleu mit Erbsen und Bratkartoffeln wirklich sehr lecker. Der Service war aufmerksam und trotz vollen Laden mit Übersicht. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet, alle Speisen, das dauert einen angemessenen Moment. Würde ich in Celle wohnen, würde ich sicher wiederkommen. P.s. Hunde sind erlaubt und werden ohne Nachfrage mit Wasser versorgt.

Ich bewerte Spareribs satt. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........usw.lecker.❤️ Wenn es jeden Tag Spareribs satt geben würde, würde ich auf meine Frisur pfeifen und jeden Tag da Spareribs essen. Ne mal im Ernst, wirklich sehr lecker, total zart, heiß,lecker, scharf oder leicht süß. Und trinkt viel 🍺 dazu, ist schließlich ein Biergarten. Bis sehr bald, mal wieder. LG an den Chef und der netten Servicekraft, von Donnerstag.

Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen, ruhigen Abend in einem guten Restaurant gefreut – was wir vorfanden, war leider das genaue Gegenteil. Zwei Großgruppen mit jeweils geschätzt 25–40 Personen dominierten das Restaurant vollständig. Die Lautstärke war entsprechend: Man konnte sein eigenes Wort kaum verstehen – Brauhausflair statt Restaurantatmosphäre. Dass das Restaurant diese Situation zugelassen hat, auf Kosten aller anderen Gäste, fanden wir bereits zu Beginn schwer nachvollziehbar. Unser reservierter Tisch war durch die Situation nicht mehr verfügbar – wir wurden umplatziert und mussten uns damit arrangieren. Die Aperitifs – Aperol Spritz und Wildberry Lilet – hätten den Abend einläuten können, taten es aber nicht. Falsches Mischverhältnis bei beiden, keine Orangenscheibe beim Aperol, beim Lilet statt frischer Beerenmischung offensichtlich Preiselbeeren aus dem Glas. Wer diese Getränke auf der Karte hat, sollte sie auch ordentlich zubereiten können. Bei der Bestellung folgte die nächste Enttäuschung: Das Cordon Bleu – laut Rezensionen das Highlight des Hauses – war um 19 Uhr bereits ausverkauft. Ebenso die Bratkartoffeln, die zu mehreren Gerichten gehören. Wie uns erklärt wurde, hatten die Großgruppen eigentlich eine separate Gruppenkarte, auf der das Cordon Bleu gar nicht stand – trotzdem bestand man darauf, es zu essen, und das Restaurant kam diesem Wunsch nach. Auf Kosten der regulären Gäste mit langfristiger Reservierung. Für ein Gericht, das als Aushängeschild beworben wird, ist das schlicht nicht akzeptabel. Das Essen selbst war eine gemischte Sache: Der Spargel war lecker, das Schnitzel ebenfalls ordentlich – geschmacklich also durchaus solide. Leider waren die Beilagen nur lauwarm und die Anrichtung lieblos. Kurz vor dem Essen kam es zudem zu einem unangenehmen Vorfall mit dem Gastronomen, der offenbar bemerkt hatte, dass wir nicht zufrieden waren – und uns daraufhin in einem unfreundlichen Ton anging. Als die Leidtragenden des Abends hatten wir dafür kein Verständnis. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir ausdrücklich die Servicekräfte – beide Damen waren durchgehend freundlich und bemüht, was in dieser Situation keine Selbstverständlichkeit war. Fazit: Dass der Abend nicht optimal lief, gaben sowohl der Inhaber als auch die Servicekräfte wiederholt zu und entschuldigten sich mehrfach bei uns – eine Geste, die wir zu schätzen wissen, jedoch den Abend nicht in Gänze retten konnte. Insgesamt blieb der Abend auf zu vielen Ebenen hinter unseren Erwartungen. Das Cordon Bleu würden wir irgendwann gerne probieren – ob wir wiederkommen, lassen wir allerdings offen. Die Garantie, es selbst mit langer Vorabreservierung zu einer normalen Abendessenszeit zu bekommen, hat man ja offensichtlich nicht.

Wir waren nach spontaner Reservierung zum Abendessen dort. Ein kleine Karte, aber wie wir erkennen konnten, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommend Bedienung. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gleich am nächsten Tag wieder.

We were there on a feast-and-frugal basis, and unfortunately, the menu selection was minimal. Many quite "appealing" dishes were immediately excluded (other restaurants have found better solutions, such as a €5 surcharge on half price!). It was tasty, but overall, with the exception of the currywurst, it wasn't enough for us (though perhaps that was due to the feast-and-frugal nature of the menu). The decor is very nice, and the service was also good.

Personally, I found the sauce on the otherwise delicious fillet much too salty, and I'm known for my saltiness. The candle at the table was lit upon request, and since we were sitting a bit in the corner, empty glasses weren't immediately noticed. The cordon bleu was delicious; the white pea sauce is a matter of taste.

The coffee tastes very good. It seems like they could use a bit more staff. Then it might be more pleasant. And an updated menu on the website would be great, too :-D

All the furniture is like an old kitchen, a good idea, the food was fantastic, my schnitzel was crispy and tender at the same time, top.

We went here for dinner with six people without a reservation. The beer garden atmosphere is inviting and spacious. The service was friendly, and the food arrived quickly. There's really nothing to complain about...food is a matter of taste...but we'd gladly come back for the ambiance.

We had schnitzel and fries here, and they were quite good. It had a good reputation, but it was still very quiet. Maybe they didn't choose the right time. It's a lovely place, though, with seating inside and outside in the "garden." Just fine!

The food was absolutely delicious. The homemade sauces...and the delicious salad dressing. That's what makes a meal perfect for me. The lady who served us was very friendly. We'd love to come back.

A summer evening in July, we (two people) as tourists had dinner at the Franz Stadtpalais. The house was packed, there was a wedding in the hall, the "ABBA Tribute Concert" in the beer garden, and we were there for dinner. It was absolutely wonderful! Great service, friendly, courteous, professional, and prompt! The food was fresh, seasonal, and featured dishes you can't find on every corner. The wine was well chilled, and the host even took the time for a personal chat with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you very much, and we'd love to come back!

As we planned our wedding at the Stadtpalais, we ate at Franz several times, both alone and with our witnesses and family, in the run-up to the wedding. Sometimes for the breakfast buffet, sometimes for dinner, or in between meals. The food was delicious every time, and the service was fast, very polite, and professional. Whether inside or outside in the beer garden: We always felt comfortable and would happily return to Franz, even the few kilometers from Hanover. The only thing that could be improved is the selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, but the menu is probably somewhat tailored to the preferences of the people of Celle. Nevertheless, even as a vegetarian, I always found something delicious.

A cozy atmosphere and attentive, friendly service. Unfortunately, the kitchen was apparently very busy due to an event: The food didn't arrive for an hour, and the side order, which was listed as fried potatoes on the menu, was changed to fries without our knowledge.

The ambiance and service were really great... but the food was terrible... we both ordered the schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was OK, but the fried potatoes were terrible; no bacon, onions, eggs, or anything else was to be seen... and it wasn't presented in any way nicely, which is what I'd expect for a price of over €20... unfortunately, we wouldn't go back just for the food...

Was referred to this place by the hotel, Hampton by Hilton Celle, we got 10% off on the food, not the drinks, the portions were small and you could choose bratkartoffel but it cost €3.50 extra…. ! And sloppily laid out,,, a lettuce leaf with two thin cucumber slices as a garnish…. This cost €27 per portion…. Terrible! We didn’t get salt or any napkins, even though we asked for it! The only positive thing was that our little dog could come in with us!

We went to brunch today for €19.90 per person. The table we were assigned wasn't directly in the restaurant, but more in the corridor leading to the casino. Breakfast/brunch was OK, but nothing special! The price/performance ratio was definitely OK. There are a few points of criticism, though. 1) Filter coffee is only available at one location. Why not have small coffee pots on the tables, especially when several people are sitting at a table? 2) Searching for a salt shaker 3) Few whole-grain rolls 4) Staff seem untrained 5) Why doesn't the HR manager have a uniform dress code?! Sorry. I won't be back.

Most importantly, the food is incredibly delicious, whether in the cold (kale) or warm (asparagus) season, or even for a hearty breakfast. The other most important thing: the owner and staff are friendly, humorous, and thoughtful. It's a pleasure to be there. The ambiance, in the style of a classic café, creates a pleasant atmosphere. A place to eat well and feel comfortable. Also recommended for events, as a lot of effort is put into it. So, get hungry and go there.

Outstanding experience! We are Americans visiting Celle for a friend's wedding and this food gave us new life from the jet lag. Truly incredible food. Highly recommend the "Hausgemachte Rinderroulade Mit Oma's Apfelrotkohl und Petersilien-kartoffeln," which melts in your mouth.

The food was incredible, the potatoes with the schnitzel were delicious and the rinderroulade was delicious. The drinks were good and strong and I would 10/10 recommend.

Four of us visited Franz on Friday, May 16, 2025. We were given a comfortable seat in a corner. The first round of drinks was quickly ordered and brought to our table. We were recommended the Cordon Bleu, which we ordered. Along with a portion of asparagus for each of us. This Cordon Bleu is the best I've had in years. My fellow diners agreed. If you visit Franz, you don't need the menu; just order the Cordon Bleu. After the meal, we had a few Havana Club Cokes. The service was still very attentive, so we didn't go thirsty. We are so satisfied with the food, the service, and the ambiance that we will definitely visit Franz again.

We went for dinner with our friends. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive and friendly, as was the boss. We liked it so much that we visited the restaurant again the next evening, but only to have a drink. Despite a big celebration, everything went well. We can definitely recommend the “FRANZ Restaurant & Wine Bar”.

A unique location. It wasn't a problem for a gluten-free person to get something great to eat. The staff is very attentive and the boss is very nice. The guests from Lüneburg!

We were in your restaurant on March 23rd with 4 people. We were greeted by the boss in front of the restaurant. The Cordon Bleu was recommended to us as the house dish, which we ordered four times. Very very tasty. Local, food and drinks very good. The boss and especially the waitress were very nice. If we are in Celle again, we will definitely come back.

Overpriced and bland. I would recommend going there only if you’re staying in Hilton and are absolutely tired & lazy to go anywhere else for dinner. I’ve tried cordon bleu for about 25 eur, and it was fine but I won’t say “good”. Just fine. Potatoes as side dish were partially black and tasted like rubber. Sauce was boring. There are much nicer restaurants in Celle where you will get awesome food for the same (or less) amount of money.

We spent our wedding dinner in a small group at FRANZ and had a wonderful time in the cozy, rustic atmosphere. The table was lovingly set. We had a very nice and attentive service staff, even small extra requests were no problem. Schnitzel and cordon bleu are homemade including breading and highly recommended! General: There is also still a small, seasonally adapted menu!

Hello, yesterday we spontaneously went to this great restaurant and as campers we got 10% off the bill. But you have to show the map of the motorhome parking space before ordering. But the nice waitress also asked about it. The cordon bleu is made by hand and very tasty, not frozen. The fillet medallions in pepper sauce also tasted very good and were butter tender. We'll be back in the summer when the beer garden is open. Thanks .

We ate at the Franz Buffet with our wedding party on December 2024 after our wedding and it was a complete success and a wonderful experience. The planning and organization was easy and personal, there were realistic prices for excellent service and the food remained so positive in everyone's minds that our guests tell their friends about having to eat there. As a bride and groom, we were given very good advice regarding the quantities and selection of dishes, but were not overloaded with even the smallest planning. It all felt very easy, personal and professional. Simply great from front to back. In terms of people, costs, location and decoration as well as quality at least 5/5! Thank you for the unforgettable evening!

We spent a great evening here as part of a company party! Great service, attentive service, delicious food and good wine! We were also able to take part in the Halloween party that took place in the house afterwards! An all-round successful evening and that's why we're going there again today - we're really looking forward to it :)

It was beautiful all around! I was there alone for dinner and was served warmly and professionally. The food was very tasty and reasonable. The atmosphere is wonderful.

Opened here as a recommendation from the neighboring hotel. Shortly after opening without a reservation we were sent to the back of the restaurant. The food was only served after an hour even though the shop was sparsely occupied. The manager or owner each served a glass of Prosecco as a consolation. Thanks for that. However, when we were eating, the heating/ventilation came on and bothered us so much that we wanted to leave quickly. There was no sound of it at the front of the restaurant. Furnishings put together at the flea market. Kind of cozy. Kitchen was ok. Boil the potatoes until firm.

There were four of us for breakfast and brunch. Great ambience, delicious food. The waffle station is simply great. An ambitious owner with many good ideas and social commitment. It's great that something like this still exists today. We'd love to come back... to the Abba concert in July 2025.

Cozy place with good vibe and quick service. The food was okay. The husband ate the schnitzel but he thought there was too little sauce. The only gluten free thing they could offer me was chicken salad. Not what you want on a Friday night at a restaurant.

We only saw the outdoor area at a concert evening. That was great though.

The baked potato & the cordon bleu were super tasty. Prices are reasonable. It's not too expensive here and it's freshly prepared, not convenient food. But most importantly, the service is good. Super nice service & even food to go on the plates if you stay over at the Hilton and bring the plates back. All in all, we were very satisfied and would like to point out the possibility of stopping here for brunch. :-)

Good place for a meal. We just had a main course and a beer, both of which were good. Service was excellent and very friendly. Menu not extensive but enough choice for us. Very close to the Hilton Hotel if you are staying there.

We were there on September 5th and September 7th. Impressive location. Nice beer garden right next to the house, you can get your drink and/or food directly in the beer garden itself. Live music from time to time too. Restaurant of course with nice service, boss is very hard working. Food is good. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

Unfortunately I haven't eaten here yet but I got information about the breakfast buffet by phone and what can I say: The staff (a gentleman) is incredibly obtrusive/condescending. Doesn't answer the phone with his name either. I'll have to think carefully about whether I'm going to eat there at all. What a shame!

I got hold of a decent currywurst just before work, it was fine and noble!☺️ As a Berliner you appreciate that. The service was extremely friendly! Gladly again......

The wine was warm and generally no taste experience

After a warm welcome, a breakfast buffet awaited us, prepared with great attention to detail. We particularly liked the unusual and warm ambience made of old kitchen chairs and tables. Here, too, you can tell that the owner puts a lot of passion into it. We'd love to come back.

Location: very attractive, cozy and originally furnished Service: friendly and accommodating Coffee: very good Food offerings at breakfast/brunch: everything was fine, nothing to complain about, standard of a German 3-star hotel breakfast. But unlike breakfast at the hotel, I expect more surprises, eye-catchers, lovely little things at brunch - in other words, more creativity. There is much more to it.

There were two of us. My food arrived when my companion had already eaten half of it. The potatoes were watery, the asparagus was overcooked. Overall, there wasn't enough sauce. After asking about a straw for my drink they said I'd take a look and then never mentioned it again. The mayonnaise for my companion only came after the food was half eaten.
