Frankfurter Wirtshaus in Frankfurt am Main

I had a business dinner at the place. Food is about average and what is to expect in a place like this. Service was acceptable but when I was about to pay and didn't pay attention they added a tip of EUR 30 on the bill without my consent.

If only I had not eaten all day, for the past three days, I would’ve finished the Schweinshaxe. For those looking for a culinary, grastronomic experience, the Frankfurter Wirsthaus is the destination. Though we did not have a reservation, we were pleasantly seated and served. Nevertheless, plan on a reservation, the place was packed. The meal arrived within minutes.

Good pub atmosphere, a bit noisy, good Frankfurt food.

I picked grill chicken and half chicken was serviced😄 It was surprising. I wish to order it with a friend to share. I was on bar and I was difficult to cut the chicken on high bar table. There were many families with kids around and too loudly. But traditional menu was satisfied me.

The food was simply good and tasty The portions are decent and at a good price too The waitresses were all very friendly. The layout of the restaurant is very well designed. We will definitely come here again, GREAT. THANKS

Because of our Central European origin, we were not allowed inside. It is said that they will be closing, but at the same time the "business" was full of customers. Shame

Fast and tasty, albeit rather down-to-earth food. It gets a bit noisy for entertainment when there is a lot going on.

The receptionist denied our entry at 9 pm and said to us they wre closing. The restaurant was supposed to be open until midnight. If you do not want to take my money no problem but do not be rude. The very same receptionist took people that came to the restaurant after us. Avoid this place if you are not born in Frankfurt

We were 3 guys, we ordered 3 main dishes, only two came, and then we ate 2 times, one for the first two dishes and then me alone. Not good service at all, any decent waiter can realize that 2 main dishes for 3 guys..hm maybe there is something wrong. But she didn’t care

Awesome atmosphere with great food and service. On river by römer and you can’t beat it in area.

I cannot recommend the restaurant. The drinks are listed on the menu as 0.5 liters and come in a much smaller glass. The service took a long time and the food was definitely not justified for the price. In the end, an attempt was made to make more money by paying the wrong amount. You definitely shouldn't do that. We don't go there anymore!

The prices do not correspond to the quality of the food or the service. We were told that a table was reserved and no one ever sat down. I do not recommend it nor will I go to this restaurant again.

Far too loud, unpleasant lighting, the glasses remain empty, you should probably leave immediately after eating and make room. The nozzle from the Bembel was completely broken off and there were 0.5 glasses. It doesn't work at all. Prices are steep for the food on offer and as a treat you have to pay for the toilet

Very disappointing. We went for the first time yesterday evening. evening. Even though it was late we were given the possibility to have dinner. Once the food was served, it was literally raw. The chicken looked like it was going to run away. Our surprise came when we decided to open the tupper to eat and it turned out that there was NOTHING in it! They only gave us potatoes and lettuce. 25& thrown away. Pitiful. Obviously we will never come back and we will not recommend it.

Update : August 28. Update October 1. Do not go there under any circumstances! They delete reviews along with Google!!!(5 times already) Freedom of speech? They didn't hear! This establishment was 3.7* now 4.6) So you can pay Google and remove bad reviews? Obviously yes. Despite my appeal to Google, they still deleted the bad reviews... I am contacting the director of the establishment! - Improve the quality of service, the quality of food, and don’t bother removing bad reviews!

We went to this restaurant for dinner and the food and service were amazing. Our server, Vivien, was great! We definitely would eat here again on our next trip to Frankfurt.

Very good restaurant in the middle of Frankfurt. Directly opposite the Eiserner Steg bridge and a 1-minute walk from Römer-Platz. German cuisine. Everything tastes very good. Good beer selection. The only drawback: Unfortunately, prices are above average. But we'll be happy to come back as soon as we're back in Frankfurt :-)

Service was somehow slow due to a “Wi-Fi issue”. The final check included a 10% mandatory gratuity, which was not mentioned in the menu.

I was there with a larger group. Very promising from the outside. The ambience and food were sobering. Everything is simple, the seating is unfortunately so narrow that many guests can fit in it. Getting up and going to the buffet or the toilet only works if the entire row of seats joins in. The solution is one fewer row of tables and two fewer chairs per row. In addition, when the restaurant is full, communication is almost impossible. Even the person sitting next to you cannot be understood unless someone is shouting. The food on offer, especially the warm food, was just average. No proper labeling, sometimes it's not clear what it is... e.g. fries are simply not suitable for keeping warm and become inedible after a very short time. Maybe it was just a bad evening and everything else is different? The first impression doesn't invite you to come back. I'm sorry that I really can't advertise there.

I had peel and sausage and beef soup. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious!

One of the best place to eat and drink some authentic beer. The place was full when we arrived but we were lucky to get a table in about 10 minutes of waiting. Many thanks goes for Vivien Bardi, with a profesional aproach, she managed to serve us the food very fast, always took a look at our beer glasses and made this experience great.

The orange juice we ordered was not freshly squeezed but a bottled version. The food also wasn’t great, it was really bland - we ordered the Bratwurst, Grilled Chicken and Tomato Soup and the Green Sauce. We weren’t able to finish any of the dishes as we didn’t like it. Only the location is good being one of the few riverfront restaurant in the Romer area, but I wouldnt go there to eat again. We went when it was not really full

I was traveling with my colleague in Frankfurt for work and was looking for a restaurant at the end of the day on July 24th, 2024. A very pretty and friendly waitress greeted us on our exploration tour. So I decided to eat there. With such a welcome and such a pretty waitress ;-)Venecia was her name. Hopefully spelled correctly. Very friendly. Top service. We felt very comfortable. Highly recommended. Nice view of the Main.

Pretty good German food covering dishes from all over the country. Enjoyed the pork schnitzel with grüner Soße (a Frankfurt speciality). Prices are a bit higher than some other places , but you do get super-friendly service plus a river view from the outdoor seating. Conveniently located right next to the historic Römer area, there's also options for indoor dining. Staff are very helpful, and menu is both in English and German. This is a great spot for group dining, as the venue is spacious and there's plenty of variety in the menu.

Was here with friends from India because they wanted to try German cuisine. The food was pretty average. The atmosphere is nice. The service attentive. That's how I rated it too, with three stars. Then they probably hired a lawyer to delete the review because of alleged defamation. I would be happy to deduct two stars and give it a new rating. No problem.

...were excellent, and our waiter was very personable & helpful answering questions and making recommendations. Cocktail choices were limited, but our waiter made a suggestion using their house lemonade, which was also excellent. A short walk from the Hauptwache S-bahn station. We also stopped at Römerberg along the way for a few pictures. The reviews on Google Maps seem more accurate than those here on TA (at least based on our excellent meal.)

The Frankfurt inn. Well, I don't normally do reviews but this place is really, really bad. It started with an excuse that you shouldn't sit in certain places because they already wanted to "close" that row or the tables. When we moved around, other guests came and were allowed to sit there and there was nothing to indicate that it was reserved. So it's very strange. We then ordered a steak and a cheeseburger. No one asked what cooking level the steak should have and the appropriate cutlery was not provided. Cutting a steak with a butter knife? At 40 euros for a steak, I expect a little more attention! Then the food came, steak very poorly prepared, the outside edges very tough, raw through and in the middle but not pink? None yet Another steak house may have experienced poor meat quality? (So ​​the kitchen decides what level of cooking your steak is) The cheeseburger was terribly bad. I had the Argentine rump steak and was not asked what cooking point my steak should have, according to the cellar's later statement: The kitchen only prepares the meat to one cooking point. The steak was a complete disappointment, overcooked, tasteless, tough and dry. There was no pepper and no salt. Did you have to cut the steak with a butter knife? Yesterday we spontaneously went to eat schnitzel and were really satisfied. Unfortunately no side salad included with the main course, but a large children's schnitzel.😆

The Frankfurt inn on the banks of the Main combines rustic charm with modern flair. Sitting on the outdoor terrace at lunchtime on a sunny day like today is simply wonderful. The first beer was served to us within a minute of sitting down and ordering - that's what I call quick service! The waiter was always on the move and made sure that all guests were satisfied. This is true customer service. The homemade potato salad with breaded fish was okay and the portion was plentiful. The tasty Binding beer represents tradition and rounds off the experience perfectly. Top service and good food – thank you!

I have to revise my rating downwards after a year. The food is just OK and too expensive for the quality. A beer/shandy of 0.5 for €6.50 is overpriced. The service staff is still good.

OMG Beef was amazingly tasty, so soft and delicious, Dorada fish also soft and well done! And waitresses... so open and good vibes :) When we will be here again, in Frankfurt, we will be back here :)

Great spot , by the river in historic part of the city, great view to bridges, ships etc…. We sat outside under the trees and it was fantastic in a hot summer day! Beer was delicious & local pizza in the German version outstanding !!! Choose bacon, vegetables & olives!!! Enjoy

The restaurant showed impressive hospitality by waiting an extra hour for us after midnight so that we could celebrate my friend's birthday. Typical tourist trap. Some dishes are ok but almost everything is completely overpriced. As people from Frankfurt, we of course had to try it out. But as a local you don't go here to eat.

This company cannot be reached. We would like to reserve a table for a company dinner. There was no response to the contact form, no response to emails and no one can be reached by phone... After what feels like 30 rings, the system automatically hangs up. It's a shame, colleagues from other regions would have liked to introduce the Frankfurt tradition, including food. Apparently the restaurant doesn't need any new customers. We're going somewhere else now!

A great place… a little expensive for the food, but it makes up for the fast and efficient service and the views of the river. Totally recommended.

I....Never again... We were there for a company event. The food we ordered in advance was no longer there. Air conditioning didn't work even though it was 30 degrees

We were there with several people. The service was courteous and the drinks were replenished, but at least twice the wrong drinks arrived. Non-alcoholic beer was already sold out at 7 p.m. for the second round. Unfortunately there are some negative points. The toilet lady demands money and harasses the customers, which is not possible. The food was expensive and disappointing in quality. The hand cheese (€8) was tiny, I can only advise against ordering it, and the portions, apart from the salad, were small overall. The pollack fillet was clearly a convenience product. The Frankfurter Schnitzel (24 €) was, as other guests have already written, very dry and also small. The apple strudel, on the other hand, was large and satisfying. You pay for the location here, but the quality is not right. Yes, increased costs have to be compensated, but if the taste and ambience suffer. No thanks. Overall the dining experience was disappointing and did not match the price. Unfortunately, the good service could not compensate for this. I'm not going there again.

Very rude service. We have been there during the European Cup and they choose the tables where they serve drinks. No need to go there.
