Super delicious German food and fast service. However, the place is often overrun by tourists, since it's so close to the Römer.

The server in charge was not very good ㅠ The sausages were delicious, but the portions were a bit small. The caprese salad was delicious. I ordered two glasses of the smallest size, but they couldn't even pour them and insisted on giving me a medium size unless I asked. ㅡㅡ You can choose the flavor of wine, so when I asked, they said they only had one flavor. ㅡㅡ They said their English isn't very good, but they still tapped the tip on the card reader and paid without even checking the receipt. Tipping is part of the culture, but you should know how to give. Out of all the restaurants I visited in Germany, this was the worst... Be careful!!

We were in for supper tonight and had such a great experience. I could quite catch our servers name but she was younger, B, anyway she was amazing. She really made our night! The food was really good! The schnitzel was cooked just right. The bratwurst were tasty. If we have time we'll definitely be back! It was packed and everyone seemed to be having such a great time! Some really large groups came in at the same time and our server did such a great job. We overhead many tables commenting on how great she was doing with the crowd. Definitely highly recommend!

Now that's what I call a friendly welcome. The place was packed. But we received such a warm welcome, something I've rarely experienced. Thank you very much for that. The food was also very good and served very quickly.

We were there for the first time today. Very friendly service, great atmosphere, and the food was delicious.

Despite low capacity (see photo), the staff seemed overwhelmed. Employees carried many items to the tables individually instead of using a tray or serving several tables at once. As a result, the staff were so preoccupied with themselves that they had little time for the guests. The fact that an otherwise crispy goose leg was served with so much sauce that there was hardly anything crispy left (see photo) is culinary unsatisfying. Visited in December 2022.

Basically, everything was very good, tasty, and friendly. But the €9.20 for a bottle of water was so outrageous that we were really annoyed!

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience here. The young waiter, wearing glasses, recommended far more food than I wanted, almost as if he were "forcing" me to order additional dishes. He explained that a 10% tip is mandatory in Germany, which is completely untrue. As a tourist, I felt completely exploited. When I asked him to pack my leftovers, he reacted angrily. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I do not recommend it.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The waiter’s poor communication led to us being overcharged, and when we asked about the tip, we were told it was mandatory at 8%. The manager was kind enough to offer a free beer to make up for the situation, but this issue should not have happened in the first place.

First time ever writing a google review. Very frustrated with the waiter ,his name was Sina.Had a terrible experience.He did not tell us that we had to pay extra 6€ for suace when ordered Schenitzel. We did not want to tip ,he said its mandatory tp pay tip in Germany.ended up paying 6€ for tip.we reported him to manager ,hopefully they will sort that guy out. Watch out if you are a tourist.

The food was of good quality, although the price–value ratio felt slightly high, which can be attributed to the location. Dishes were served promptly and at the right temperature, and the staff provided attentive and courteous service. The overall experience was efficient; however, as soon as we declined dessert, the bill was presented immediately, which made the service feel somewhat rushed.

The beer was good, the atmosphere and location were good, but the waiters look askance at us when we just go for a beer. In fact, I hadn't even finished my beer when they were already presenting me with the bill. I had plans to order another and even have dinner there, but this attitude discouraged me, and I ended up going elsewhere. Regrettable.

Warning: A 750 ml bottle of sparkling water costs €9.20, which is €12.27 for 1 liter. This is sheer outrageousness. Soft drinks are cheaper than water. The dining room is nicely decorated, but very noisy. The food came very quickly, but it was very greasy and salty. No reason for us to come here again.

This company is unreachable. We wanted to reserve a table for a company dinner. There was no response to the contact form, no reply to emails, and no one was available by phone... After what felt like 30 rings, the system automatically hangs up. It's a shame, as we would have liked to introduce colleagues from other regions to Frankfurt traditions, including the food. We're going somewhere else now!

The food was good, and there's also something for vegetarians. The portions were large. The side salad was also a large portion. This is a restaurant geared toward tourists. Accordingly, the prices are a bit higher than those off the beaten track.

Tasted good. It wasn't a culinary highlight, but the price reflects that. Portions are enormous. The salad was also more than enough. Friendly staff. We received our food before our drinks. That's how quickly our food was ready.

It was incredibly delicious! The staff were very kind and their English was easy to understand. My recommendation is the chewy pasta called spaetzle! If you're in Frankfurt, be sure to give it a try! ♪

Unfortunately, the service was extremely disinterested and unfriendly. Minor requests (like delayed serving due to a toddler) were ignored. The cheese spaetzle were swimming in grease, inedible for a child. However, the Frankfurter schnitzel was excellent, as was the large salad plate.

The restaurant benefits from its superb central location. Unfortunately, this is also reflected in the prices: a 0.5 pint of beer costs €6.50... a pork schnitzel for just under €25... those are some serious prices. The traffic is a bit of a nuisance. When we made a reservation, we were threatened with a €35 no-show fee; in the end, the restaurant was only 20% full on this Wednesday. Conclusion: The food is okay, but the prices are a bit high. More suited to tourists.

Very good establishment, I recommend it!

Being celiac, I looked for a restaurant with an allergen list (since there are no certified gluten-free restaurants in Frankfurt). Here, I ordered the pork shank with a side of boiled potatoes, as they were the only GF side dish. However, the waitress who served us wasn't very knowledgeable about gluten, and when I asked if the fries were gluten-free, she replied, "Yes, they are gluten-free because they're fried in sunflower oil." Um, okay! Otherwise, the food was good, and the portions were generous.

I couldn't have asked for a better restaurant for my last day in Frankfurt.

Never again!!! The boss was completely unfriendly to us and his staff. All the waiters were really nice, but the boss goes around treating people badly. The food is overpriced, but the price is cheap and bad. I wouldn't want to support someone like that.

Had the Argentinian rump steak, was not asked how cooked my steak should be, according to the waiter later: The kitchen only prepares the meat to one degree of doneness. The steak was a complete disappointment - overcooked, tasteless, tough and dry. There was no pepper or salt. Did I have to cut the steak with a butter knife? For a €40 steak, you should be able to expect these standards. I can only advise everyone against eating steak there. Go to a proper steakhouse where you can decide for yourself how cooked your steak should be. I will not be eating there again. The waiter blamed the kitchen and the other waitress, who apparently forgot to bring me a steak knife. Oh well, never mind. In conclusion, all I can say is: It was very disappointing.

Rude boss. We clearly saw how badly he treated his employees. He was also very rude to us. Never again! The food is also bad and far too expensive. This kind of thing shouldn't really be called a Frankfurt restaurant.

The manager was so unfriendly that I had tears in my eyes. He thought I wasn't a guest and treated me terribly. He blocked my companion's way on her way to the restroom, insinuating she wasn't a guest. That's unacceptable for the mediocre food and €40 per person.

The worst food places ı have ever seen in frankfurt, it was discusting

It was really so delicious 🫶 The atmosphere of eating by the river was great, and the staff was super friendly and served us very quickly!! I ate Schweinshaxe and an unknown cheese pasta that the staff recommended, and it was so delicious. I ate it all. I had a great first meal in Frankfurt 😻

We were there with a larger group. When we made our reservation, we were told we had to be through in 90 minutes. And if we arrived with fewer people than announced and didn't let them know in time, they charged €35 per missing person on our credit card. That really makes you feel welcome. As for the actual visit: My pork knuckle wasn't good, not fresh, and quite dry, and the mashed potatoes were lumpy; definitely not a recommendation. However, since most of my companions enjoyed their food (tarte flambée, steak, schnitzel), it gets four stars. The service was good until we were ready to pay. We waited a long time at the counter to pay. My personal lowlight when paying by card was the designated tip boxes. I don't know, I feel ambushed and pressured. By the way, we were allowed to stay longer because the place was quite empty.

Great outside sitting area. Great for enjoying the weather and people watching while drinking a beer. Service was good, our waiter was super friendly. Food was just ok, I order the brat with potato salad. Potato salad was good, brat was dried and shriveled. Spazle cheese platter was also just ok not great. Had to add my brat to it to give it some flavor

You can sit comfortably outside here, sheltered by trees and umbrellas. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Prices are great, too, and there's even a vegan dish on the menu. The green sauce and potato salad are homemade, and you can taste it. We'll be back soon. The service was deplorable. There was a huge wait for orders and for dishes to be changed. Yet the terrace wasn't crowded. Generous portions of local dishes. A menu with plenty of choices. The usual German side dishes were salad or cabbage. It's always difficult to compare prices when you're from abroad...

Be careful! You'll immediately be asked very politely if you'd like a bottle of water. This 0.75 liter bottle will then be charged €9.20!!!! Of course, the water isn't free, but I find the exorbitant price scam audacious and probably ordered by management. It's clear that this is how profits are increased quickly... The service was otherwise super friendly and pleasant. The food arrived quickly and was good. Although it wasn't that busy, the noise level was quite high.

We waited for 30 minutes in vain; our order wasn't accepted because they were supposedly on a break. Unbelievable, but true?

Everything was delicious except they were extremely salty. Salt destroyed all the taste and we couldn’t eat the soup and the Flamkuche. Our request for the order of the serving were also ignored. I wouldn’t come here again and recommend to anybody.

The tall gentleman wearing spectacles that served me during my lunch there was very polite and friendly. He is very hardworking, and often seen going around checking in on customers, including me. He’s good at making recommendations for drink and food. The Frankfurt style schnitzel was very delicious and so was the apfelwein 😍 Danke schön! Love from Singapore 🇸🇬

We sat outside, as the terrace is on the street, so it's not ideal, but the view of the Main River makes up for it. The food was of above-average quality for a "brewery, tavern," very fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and quick. Since I didn't go inside, I can only describe the exterior ambiance.

We were there on Thursday and Friday. The food was excellent and plentiful. Excellent value for money. The service from the young blonde waitress was exceptionally good/excellent. She was also very kind, polite, and very attentive. The food and drinks were served quickly. In summary, a great restaurant with home-style cooking at fair prices, and especially the friendly and helpful waitresses, who made everything a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming here more often in the future.

Good food but even better service at Edward

We were very pleased with the food and the restaurant's ambiance. We especially appreciated the very personal and competent service. We were served by Edward Teitelmann, and he truly did everything he could to ensure we had a pleasant evening.

Truly a great restaurant! We went there with Japanese guests, and everyone went home full and happy. The staff and waitresses were very patient until everyone's orders were taken! I'd go back anytime; I'd be happy to go back for a meal too; it won't be the last time I've been there!!

Dinner was truly enjoyable, largely due to our waitress Janine, who provided exceptional and personalized service. She was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

Before going in I asked if they had vegan options and the waiter said “yes, of course!”. So we sat down. The only option is a plate of veggies w a couple of baby potatoes. FOR 20 EUROS!

A complete disaster! For Ironman '25, a sausage and drinks stand were set up in front of the outdoor dining area. Nowhere is it indicated that card payments aren't accepted – you only find out after you've waited 10-15 minutes for drinks. At the table you subsequently choose in the outdoor dining area, you are skillfully ignored by the waiters for more than half an hour. Waiters you approach either explain that they're not responsible for that table or that the battery on their ordering device is dead. 😂 After ages, I'm finally able to order. Easy, I should say: Of course, only half of the order is delivered here, too – dry fries, no sausages, no cutlery. Yes, it's busy due to the Ironman event. But a local restaurateur can also know and plan for that.

Most of the meals were amazing but the Bratwurst was the worst I've ever had.

Service was OK. The price/performance ratio was not right at all. Expensive convenience food. I had a large salad that didn't deserve the name. The dressing came separately and there was very little. However, I was able to reorder without any problems. Conclusion: Never again!

We went around afternoon on 10th of July. Food was good, place too. However I was kinda disappointed of the service. My wife and I ordered only food, not anything to drink, we only had half filled small bottle of water left in my bag, and at the end of the meal we just shared it. Right after I paid, waiter asked us where we came from and said “is it normal where you came from to drink your own water, here you have to order.” I was really confused and disappointed of the service I understand there are certain policies in restaurants, but no establishment should treat customers like this, especially for small amount of water after the meal.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed, especially with the service. The restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived, but the waiter was rushed and repeatedly told us to hurry up with our orders. Waiter 2 was also very rude and embarrassed us. We could only apologize to our friends who were visiting. Fortunately, there are plenty of other restaurants with friendly staff and where we can bring friends from abroad.

The service is abysmal. We get ripped off. We just wanted a drink. The waiter didn't like it at all. He said, "I'll just clear the table now." I ordered a large beer. The beer came in a 1-liter liter. All I can say is, it's a disgrace. People at the next table were sent away because two people had sat at a large table. All I can say is, this idiot "waiter" doesn't belong in the service department. I will tell all my friends and acquaintances about my experience and never set foot in this place again.

We were here today with the company! It was almost impossible to assign us our reserved table. I ordered a medium rump steak, and it was terrible. The service was attentive, but significantly understaffed. The head waiter deserves five stars. Nevertheless, all of our colleagues were dissatisfied with the steak. Even when we complained, the steak, which was supposed to be medium, was served in a well-done manner, and it was sent back. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it...
