Super delicious hand cheese and apple wine, and a pleasant atmosphere. The service was a bit stressed and chaotic, but friendly and amiable. When the weather is nice, they should hire more staff. Update: The food is great, but when it's full (and it usually is), the service is sometimes overwhelmed. It's incredibly loud, both in the dining room and in the vaulted cellar. There are ways to dampen the noise.

Always incredibly delicious! My personal highlight is the sour cream schnitzel. It's a dream! But the rump steak and the Hessian aioli are also great, not to mention the hand cheese. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by!

Best Handkäs for miles around! It's not easy to get a seat here, especially since reservations are only accepted one week in advance (last-minute reservations are not possible). The Frankfurter Hof opens at 5 p.m., and we were standing outside with about 15 people from 4:40 p.m. to get one of the coveted seats. But it's worth it! The Handkäs is wonderfully aged and creamy (sloppy). The "small" Handkäs is a generous portion. The schnitzels are crispy and truly delicious. The tartar and Himmel & Erd are a dream (definitely try it with the potato and cabbage mash). One star deducted for the fact that the beef comes from Argentina and not from the excellent TAUNUS RINDERN.

An absolute insider tip – highly recommended! When friends recommended this restaurant to us, we were a bit skeptical at first, but after the first bite, we were completely won over. All the dishes we ordered were excellent: Handkäs (hand cheese), Wiener Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, and Double Bratwurst – everything was freshly prepared and delicious. While it took a while for the food to arrive, the wait was definitely worth it. The service was very friendly and attentive. For me, this is the best German restaurant I've ever visited in the Frankfurt area. Sitting in the garden on a summer evening was simply wonderful. The selection of drinks, especially the various wines and beers, is also very good. It's best to reserve a table in advance!

On days like today (a June weekend), avoid at all costs. They're accepting too many guests. For hot meals, you can expect to wait an hour or more without any comment or warning. My schnitzel with handkäs (cheese) was EXCELLENT. The small mixed salad doesn't deserve its name.

Rating: Frankfurter Hof in Nordenstadt We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Frankfurter Hof in Nordenstadt. As a starter there was hand cheese with music - excellently seasoned and really tasty. This was followed by a veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, which was prepared to perfection - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the fried potatoes were wonderfully flavorful. The Pinot Gris served went well with this. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit particularly pleasant. A small downside: You can only pay in cash, which is a bit inconvenient these days - but you can forgive that given the culinary experience. Conclusion: A real insider tip for lovers of home-style cuisine with warm service.

The homemade hand cheese, which is available in different variations, is more than just a legend. The consistency is perfect. The onions are chopped very finely. In my opinion, the classic sauce always has too little vinegar and too much oil. The version with creme fraiche is very tasty. The apple wine/Äppelwoi is great.

We spent a wonderful evening at the Frankfurter Hof in Wiesbaden! The food is authentically Hessian, incredibly tasty and served fresh and hot. We were particularly impressed by the traditional dishes - they cook here with a lot of love and quality. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive and quick. The drink selection is good, and everything was at the perfect temperature. Added to this is the cozy atmosphere, which makes the visit even more pleasant. A small downer: There is no option to pay by card. Unfortunately, we had to make a special trip to the ATM, which involved additional fees - which somewhat spoiled the otherwise perfect impression. Nevertheless: If you want to enjoy real Hessian cuisine in a rustic atmosphere, this is the right place for you! We'd love to come back.

A lovely, rustic restaurant serving Hessian cuisine. The many different varieties of Handkäse (cheese) are a must. The schnitzel selection is also extensive, so there should be something for every taste. The restaurant is large and quite busy, so make a reservation in advance. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a bit because our table was accidentally given to someone else, hence the one-star deduction for service. Otherwise, everything was great, and we'd be happy to come back.

A large salad plate for €11.50 and it was really small! Mini! Large pack and not nearly full. Not even homemade coleslaw, but ready-made pickled and sweetened coleslaw. Disappointing! The first and unfortunately last time. Too bad.

Wir sind Neubürger in Nordenstadt und wollten im Frankfurter Hof mal Handkäs essen. Gleich zur Öffnung um 17 Uhr da gewesen, ungemütlich kalt. Ungeheizt und das bei Minusgrade, der Handkäs war gut, aber wenn man im Mantel noch friert kann man kein Essen genießen. Im Winter werden wir das Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.

The hand cheese is a dream! Whether classic or a little more extravagant, e.g. as “creamy”, everything is absolutely amazing! The apple wine is also some of the best you can find in the region. Both are also absolutely suitable for take away with nice service at the counter. Very nice service in the restaurant. The beer garden is particularly recommended in summer. Pictures follow.

We were there for a friend's birthday dinner and even though I don't really like Handkäs, I tried it here, along with the tartare, and I liked both very much! A true paradise for Meenzer Handkäs fans! The Mainzer hand cheese is homemade here and is truly a taste revelation. The cider was also excellent and was homemade. You can buy Meenzer Handkäs to take away at the counter.

A menu according to Hessian taste: Handkäs with music, green sauce, etc. Prices seem low at first glance, but as soon as you see the size of the main meals, this is put into perspective. But we were all satisfied with the taste. Service was nice and friendly, but very slow due to the large crowds. It took an hour for the food to arrive. The atmosphere is nice and rustic, but sometimes very cramped. Payment was only possible in cash, even though it was advertised differently. But the service found a good solution by subsequently sending the invoice by email and you could transfer it.

Were here 3 times, parking is very bad. The food and service are great. Reservations are mandatory, the house is always full, which reflects the service and the good food.

Small portion - big prices. The taste was quite good, although I definitely hoped for more from the green sauce. It was rather tasteless. I went there with high expectations on the recommendation of friends. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a shame. Service was okay, it was extremely busy that evening.

As two Aussie tourists in a small German town, the owners of this beautiful, family run traditional restaurant made our experience not only easy (by providing an English menu and providing us with an English speaking waitress) but so incredibly enjoyable. The food was honestly amazing. If you are looking for an authentic, German experience and food, look no further than this beautiful little restaurant.

Sadly a really bad experience. 30 minutes until we got the drinks, it took 50 minutes the food to come and they did not bring the order correctly and instead apologising they said if we want they can bring the correct order but would need 30 minutes more… staff really unfriendly as well and the food quality really poor. That salad was swimming in dressing, the schnitzel was black and the Kaiserschmarren have a lot of room of improvement. Will not repeat.

Very tasty food. The service staff are very attentive and committed. Unfortunately, only cash payment is possible, but actually also by invoice, which is sent by email. 😊 If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come again! I recommend everyone to have a cabbage puree as a side dish. I was skeptical, but then I wanted to go for it. Next time I'll order cabbage puree twice and eat it with a salad as a main course! 😆

I washed all that down with a few sour applwoi and an old plum brandy. They have outside/courtyard seating and only take cash.
