Super delicious food and friendly service. The beef broth, cordon bleu, and cheese spaetzle were very, very good.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this hut outside of opening hours. My family and I were illegally parked in the parking lot in front of the hut. There is no hiking parking lot, and we weren't allowed to park there. The hut was closed, and we thought this was fine. It would have been perfectly fine to have the car towed. Instead, a man was standing near the car with his dog when we returned. He didn't return our greeting and left the dog on a long leash, so it came close to us, sniffed us, and half-wrapped us in the leash. When I asked if everything was okay, I was told very clearly that nothing was wrong because we were parked there. The atmosphere quickly became very threatening, our apologies were repeatedly rejected, and instead the man asked if we couldn't read, coming dangerously close to us. I said we could call the police if he wanted to. He then turned around without a word and walked toward the hut. I had my 10-month-old son in a carrier on my back, and my wife and her sister were with me. Perhaps I was lucky that the situation didn't escalate. Of course, it's perfectly fine to assert one's rights, and if the car had been towed, we wouldn't have been entitled to complain. But threatening us like that and trying to scare us is simply wrong and almost criminal. At that moment, I was truly afraid of things escalating. That meant that this hut was out of the question for us, even on open days.
