Forsthof in Bad Säckingen

The name “Pasta King” raises high expectations, which unfortunately were not fulfilled in any way. The quality of the food was disappointing: The burger was average at best - not something you'd expect at a restaurant that boasts such a name. The gnocchi was incorrectly prepared, with a mushy consistency that was not enjoyable. The spaghetti carbonara was a low point: a non-homemade cream sauce has nothing to do with an authentic carbonara. Overall, the restaurant seems like a fast food joint with an exaggerated name that doesn't deliver what it promises. “Pasta King” actually polarizes here – but not in a positive sense. Too bad!

Community energy is a good thing - the future starts with everyone. Anyone who has shares in the cooperative actively participates in the production of renewable energy. Anyone can join with a minimum deposit of €500. The more people participate, the more systems can be built. One star deducted because the website is not regularly maintained.

Experienced incredibly poor service today. There was something on the tarte flambée that looked like a fingernail. Called the waitress and she took the tarte flambée back with her. But that was it. The next contact was a request to pay. The tarte flambée was of course still on the bill. When asked if there was anything else to eat here, the answer was "kitchen closed". Left the restaurant hungry after waiting there forever. Unbelievable. There was no serious apology either.

We were there yesterday for the musical dinner. The staff was super friendly as always. The food was fantastic and I can recommend everything.

We have been catered for by this restaurant for the past few weeks. And this evening, as an exception, there was the house specialty for our entire group. The food was very good and you could grill everything yourself. There was pork, beef and chicken as well as some side dishes. In any case, we were all full and it was delicious too. Our favorite waitress served us very politely and nicely that day. It was definitely a pleasant and communal evening.
