Today's visit to the beer garden: The location itself is nice, only half full. Male waiter at the drinks station makes judgmental comments about the order, e.g. ordered cola is referred to as “G*ft”, cyclist with “I thought you were a man”. The older gentleman in front of me was completely perplexed by this. In addition, the waiting time for the food was >45 minutes, which was also disappointing. Can't understand the other reviews, won't be coming back. The waiter in question is damaging business!

Very nice old style restaurant. Very clean and tidy and the design in general is pleasing to the eye. The service was great and the waiters were extremely friendly and attentive and paid great attention to our well-being. The food was also perfect, the meat was tender, the sauce had a strong flavor but wasn't too spicy and it was well prepared. If you don't manage to eat the whole portion, you can easily have it packed up to take away. The only thing that was unfortunately very annoying were the flies and wasps that were constantly sitting on the food (we were sitting inside the house), so it was best to sit further behind the restaurant. But all in all it was a great experience for the whole family, thanks to the entire team❤️

Quite nice. Gnocchi with basil pesto was very monotonous in taste and overall too well done, but the focus here is clearly not on vegetarian dishes and it was also quite full.

Well, I can't make a recommendation. The kitchen cannot convince with its offering, although the menu is very clear and one gets the impression that a small selection of dishes is combined with high quality. Almost absurd when you think about how long the house has been in business. There was no running water at the sink in the men's toilet - I've never experienced that before. The service is good. All employees are honestly trying (restaurant).

Almost no vegetarian options. There was a quite expensive salad with parmesan...we also paid for the meat side dish we chose.

The restaurant actually makes a very good impression. We ate outside in the beer garden. The map is clear. Unfortunately, two of the dishes we requested were sold out. - How can tarte flambée be sold out? - You order at a pavilion. The food is brought to the table after some time. The currywurst was lukewarm. There could have been more meat on the duck burger. The prices were a bit high overall. There is a parking lot across the street.

Were there for a friend's birthday dinner. Upon request (with prior reservation) a birthday table was to be set up, which unfortunately did not stand out visually much from the rest of the tables and, according to hearsay from my acquaintances, a small fee was even charged for this, which I find really unpleasant, a weak one Performance represents the result and was therefore a cross-sectional topic of conversation at the table... It should be in the restaurant's interest to attract such high-spending groups, after all, that brings in sales. The menu was very manageable, which usually means that the dishes selected are top class given the size of this restaurant, but the food was just better average. Don't get me wrong, it's tasty, but it's not an extraordinary culinary event either. (For example, the adjoining garden canteen of our KGV with a comparable interior for less money made far more effort to please the guests and the plates were also fuller, but that was just a subjective, casual comment.) The waiter, who mainly served us, tried to make funny jokes and sayings, which not everyone liked, but hey... (As we all know, humor varies greatly, so I don't take a hard view of it) ... but when you notice that all the other guests who arrive are greeted with exactly the same phrases, it somehow no longer has any charm. Of course it is difficult to be creative in the long term, but the core competence should actually be, for example, preparing the restaurant, beautiful tables or birthday tables 😜as well as satisfying the guests as best as possible (as a waiter) and not cabaret. In summary, a location that had a good reputation with us, especially through word of mouth, but is now eating away at it and is unfortunately inferior to it. As to whether this facility is really recommendable, apart from a visit to the beer garden, I would rate it as neutral at best. You can do it, but you don't have to (anymore). Nevertheless, I wish the restaurant and its guests all the best and a pleasant stay. 🍀We're looking forward to a nice cold bowl of hops again by Men's Day, where our bike tour typically runs along your beer garden. 😜👍

Unfortunately disappointing, you wait forever until the food comes (about 1 hour) and then some of it is cold. Knuckle too dry and far too little sauce. Burger was cold, ragout fin was too mixed and the dark cellar beer was watery. Unfortunately the outdoor area was not prepared either. When we sat down, the table was quickly wiped down and then someone started sweeping. He kicked up so much dust that we asked him to stop. I think you have to do something like that before you open and guests come. The prices are also very reasonable, but the food and ambience should be right, otherwise you won't come back. Very unfortunate!!!

I would like to tell everyone else who is interested about my visit today (August 18, 2024 lunch). Particularly noteworthy is Ms. Wendt, who mainly served us at the table. Very friendly, careful, comes to the table at just the right distance to ask for new requests. Regarding the other points: - I think it's a bit stupid that there are different service staff, one brings drinks, the other brings the food, someone else for dessert, etc. In total we probably had 4 or 5 different service staff - a main course was almost completely forgotten, the waitress who brought the food must have noticed that someone didn't have any food yet, and it was only brought when they asked - Food itself was good but not phenomenal, I had the deer goulash and the chanterelle soup, soup was ok, unfortunately a bit too much pepper, I looked in vain for a few real pieces of chanterelles - I'm not a fan of pureed soups - deer goulash in a deep plate Personally, I find it a bit unfortunate because everything just sort of falls together On the whole it was ok but generally I have to say that things have deteriorated a bit in the forester's house over the years. No properly set tables - no tablecloth, just placemats, cutlery not polished with lots of water stains There was also a male service member on duty today who was simply unpleasant. Perhaps interesting for the management, as far as I could see there were 2 gentlemen on duty. One with a bald head and the other with no hair. The gentleman with hair was the unpleasant one. He came up with some pointless comment about feminism and was just generally a bit arrogant and over the top. An 80-year-old lady was referred to casually (I personally find it inappropriate in this restaurant) Additionally, we came back to the restaurant from a short smoking break and the unpleasant gentleman, who had been at our table several times, asked us if we already had a table. Yes, it doesn't have to be that way. I have to say, I would come back again and try the beer garden and the schnitzel Wednesday but overall it is not my next stop when the next family meal comes up.

Unfortunately, the food was (repeatedly) unconvincing, schnitzel, for schnitzel week, did not seem freshly prepared, side dishes placed carelessly on the plate. Service, on the other hand, was very good...nice, fast, entertaining, that's it! The atmosphere in the beer garden is great!

The food could come a little earlier. An hour and a half later is a bit long. Otherwise everything was very tasty. Gladly again.

Good home-style food with a surprisingly varied but consistent menu. Service was ok, even if we were forbidden to sit outside due to an announced rain break (no rain came during our visit). The food took a long time, despite there being fewer guests, and tasted okay, but not phenomenal either. However, the cleanliness is definitely worth mentioning. Cobwebs in the corners, on the ceilings, dead insects on the window sills and shelves in the toilet areas that had not been cleaned for a long time made our visit a unique one.

Yesterday we went to the Raschwitz forester's lodge with great anticipation, attracted by the attractive website that made us want to visit. But unfortunately the high expectations were followed by great disappointment. **Conclusion: Unfortunately not recommended.** The chanterelle soup was tasteless and offered no culinary surprises. The plates of the main course were hot when served, but the temperature of the food left a lot to be desired. What was particularly disappointing was that both the schnitzel and the röstis gave the impression that they came from the freezer and were not freshly prepared. The service left a mixed impression. While some employees were friendly, others seemed overwhelmed and didn't remember our orders afterwards. This led to unnecessary confusion and extended waiting times. Overall, the Forsthaus Raschwitz unfortunately presented itself as more than mere appearance, without the corresponding culinary or service-related essence. It's a shame, it was our first and last time there!

We were there twice, once in the beer garden (Wednesday) and once in the restaurant (Saturday). On that Wednesday the food was “okay”. Long waiting times including standing in line for drinks and food orders that you have to do yourself at the pavilion. Today we went into the restaurant, there were a few tables free. We waited more than 45 minutes for the food, and when we asked how long it would take, the response from the kitchen was simply forgotten. When I said "let's go again" I felt flippant/arrogant/sarcastic?! replied that 45 waiting times wouldn't be long with an expression of "what do you expect on a Saturday?!". On a Saturday, I expect that a restaurant that has been around for such a long time and has been established has enough staff to serve the guests in a reasonable time depending on their available seats and, in particular, no flippant/arrogant answers, because the service staff there is certainly no better than its guests Without the guests there wouldn't even be any jobs. Definitely not a recommendation!

Hi everyone, I can only rate the beer garden. This was absolutely okay but it just needs a little more intensive care. Unfortunately, the playground is already pretty worn out but still functional. Despite it not being busy on a Thursday, the service wasn't quite as good. It was self-service and there were clear instructions from the staff on how to do what. The duck burger that we were so looking forward to was unfortunately only given a grade of 4. All in all, I wouldn't necessarily want to visit the beer garden again. However, according to friends, the indoor restaurant is said to be very, very good. Everything from the service to the food was said to be perfect. Conclusion: Try it out and see for yourself. Am 30.6. waren wir seit längerer Zeit mal wieder im kleinen Familienkreis zum Abendessen im Forsthaus Raschwitz und wurden von Chris sehr nett bedient. Die Schweinebäckchen sowie Gnocchi und ein kleiner Salat schmeckten sehr gut, auch mit der Weinauswahl und dem gepflegten Ambiente des Gastraumes waren wir sehr zufrieden, so dass wir gern mal wieder einkehren werden.

We were there for the second time yesterday. We were in the restaurant for the first time in winter and enjoyed the schnitzel day. Everything was top notch throughout. So we thought, let's try the duck burger in the beer garden. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. It started with the service staff telling us exactly what we had to clear away and where exactly we had to put the dishes at the end. (We hadn't even ordered yet) The beer garden itself is great, with the playground also ideal for kids. However, the prices for drinks are steep, especially the non-alcoholic drinks, a large barrel of soda for €5.20? The three duck burgers we ordered were very disappointing in terms of taste, absolutely no culinary highlight, the decorated rocket was partly already dried out or about to dry out, for just under €19 I expect more. The children's menu, fried fish with mashed potatoes, was sobering. The fried fish was so pale, as if it had come from the freezer without having been put in the oven. The whole thing was also decorated with dried rocket. The ice cream was positive at the end. For €1.50 you get a lovingly decorated ball in a cup. All in all, more emphasis should be placed on the preparation of the food and its quality. It was probably the last time for us, what a shame!

Ich war zum ersten mal mit Kollegen hier im Restaurant und war hell auf begeistert. Hier stimmte alles vom Service bis zum Nachtisch haben wir einen wunderschönen Abend hier verbracht. Ich persönlich hatte ein Schnitzel gegessen und einen Nachtisch und war sehr begeistert von der Zubereitung und der Liebe zum Detail, egal ob geschäftlich, mit dem Partner/Familie oder für Feiern oder auch mit Kindern, kann ich das Forsthaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Food in the beer garden is rather rustic but doesn't detract from the cosiness. Prices are not a bargain but okay. If you're lucky, drivers will get a space right in front of the house. If you're in the area, it's a must to stop at the forester's house beer garden and enjoy at least one “Försti”. The location is inviting and offers sun or shade depending on your preference. The service is super nice, very accommodating and quick. In short: you can endure it here for a while.

Expensive, food wasn't that good.

We were there again after a whopping twelve years and were very positively surprised. Everything worked out for us. Service from the two gentlemen was very good and a relaxed atmosphere with a smile on their faces. They like doing it and you could tell. After a long wait, the food was also very good. There are a few bones in the zander fillet, but that's why it's fish. Nicely prepared food, even for small children, which came quickly. The only thing I would have imagined was nicer was the dessert. :) Ambience nice, toilets very clean, which is always a small indicator. Another indicator: the menu is not too large. Free parking spaces available. There's even takeaway food available. Great, keep it up, we will come back. :) Edit: We weren't disappointed again. 🙂

I've heard a lot about the forester's lodge and have driven past it many times. Today the time had come and we ate there. There was Hamburger Schnitzel, which was really good overall. When we ate two of our meals, the potatoes seemed dried out. It's a bit of a shame that small flies came out of the flowers, which were annoying while eating. It would be nice if that was fixed.

Solid good food, it was tasty. Unfortunately there was little vegetarian food, not even a vegetarian salad. Selection for children is ok. Friendly, if sometimes overwhelmed, service.

We had Wiener Schnitzel that was inedible, greasy and partly dried out, the salad was soggy, as if it had been in the kitchen since morning, the fries were soggy! Not appropriate for 25 euros per meal and really disappointing. Service good.

I imagined visiting the beer garden on May 1st differently. The tables weren't wiped down, there weren't any drinks that were on the menu, the faucet in the toilet was broken, the wrong food was brought twice (after we'd already waited over an hour anyway), and the food wasn't great either (chicken was dry and overall the food was tasteless and overpriced). The service staff tried hard, but couldn't save the bad mood. It's a shame, because the beer garden itself is really nice to sit in.

Die Umgebung außerhalb des Restaurants ist viel besser, denn es ist heller. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell. Ich selber bin kein Sternekoch,aber das essen war nur ein Stern wert. Ich hatte mit meiner Frau Hirsch Wildraten. Die Klöße zu fest wie Tennisbälle die Soße viel zu wenig genau so das Blaukraut. Ich habe früher im Max Plank Institut gearbeitet in der Cafeteria und dort habe ich Positiv Bewertungen bekommen. Das nächste Mal muss ich mir in der früheren Parkgaststätte einen Tisch nehmen. Im Forsthaus Raschwitz steckt viel Arbeit drin. Viel Glück.

Well, the food is more reminiscent of an upscale snack bar. A bit meager for this money.

We actually discovered the restaurant through a Groupon voucher and were very positively surprised. The food was very tasty, the portions were more than sufficient. Especially the dessert, Quarkkeulchen, was a great ending. Even the journey from Colditz is worth it. We'd love to come back. One final note - even guests with limited mobility are catered for. There is a lift to reach the toilets in the basement.

Top restaurant in Markkleeberg. Good German cuisine with a great selection of food and drinks. We had an excellent ragout fin as a starter, a crispy knuckle with dumplings and cabbage and the sweet potato-spinach gratin with skewer fillets as the main course. For dessert, an espresso and the Saxon curds. Everything tasted excellent. The service was always very friendly and attentive. All in all we had a very, very nice evening.

Cozy stylish atmosphere. We had a birthday party with a pre-ordered buffet. There were very tasty starters such as asparagus salad and there was also a nice selection of main courses. Particularly great - the restaurant gave us containers to pack up the leftover food without us having to ask. The restaurant also takes part in the “to good to go” initiative and thus contributes to the fight against food waste. We would happily recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Unfortunately, the food does not correspond to what is shown and advertised on Insta. We didn't think the food was fresh. Heated with heat lamps. No spice, no creativity. The price is not justified. We 'saved' dessert. The service was fine. The table allocation is not up to date. I'm only writing this review because I just looked at the Insta profile again. We won't be coming back.

Very disappointing, the only good thing was the parking lot. We both stood there and waited for a seat to be assigned. Which neither of us heard!! The coffee was undrinkable, the food was poor except for the price. Had pollock, extremely salty and "bones" dry. Should be a rice dish, with two tablespoons of rice at best. Overall, it was nicely prepared but I got the impression that it was anything but fresh. The service was very unfriendly. When asked about the inedible coffee, all I heard was that the waiter always drinks it like that. Not like, I'm sorry, or anything like that. We said nothing more about the completely unacceptable food. My wife had liver and wasn't happy with it either. The price without dessert was 48 euros for the service, completely unacceptable for the food. Absolutely no recommendation from either of us. Rarely have I eaten so badly.

The food was super tasty and was really nicely prepared. The portion size was also perfect. I had the wild boar cheeks. They were wonderfully tender and for dessert the apricot dumplings with vanilla ice cream. Very very tasty. The staff is very friendly and has quick sayings, which makes you feel good. We were there for the first time and certainly not the last time. The service is great!

Great location with borderline service. For example, the unopened bottle of red wine that was ordered was simply placed on the table with the glasses, or the restaurant was swept during business hours in the presence of guests. This is more of a pub level and not a restaurant level.

As one of the renowned restaurants in/near Leipzig, you imagine service differently. The bottle of wine is simply placed on the table, closed, food is passed across the table, a cellar apparently mistakes the restaurant for a bar and wants to appear funny with his use of words. Not where you feel comfortable with higher quality. Then the broom was swung while the guests were still sitting around 9 p.m. You felt like you had been thrown out. The food was terribly good, but unfortunately that alone doesn't make you want to come back.

Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. Sauerbraten of venison very rich in fat, saddle of beef rather well-done instead of pink and only a very small portion. Serve with Kaiserschmarren as dessert, super dry and partly burnt. Service was top and very accommodating. 5 stars for that. The atmosphere is also cozy. Nette Gastronomie, sehe gutes Essen mit ein bischen Chi-Chi aber nicht too much. Wir waren mit 6 Personen, davon 2 Jugendliche...jeder hat etwas leckeres gefunden. Wir werden wieder kommen. Danke.

Furchtbar! Suppe wurde zweimal hintereinander kalt serviert. Es war eine Pilzsuppe, wir haben keinen einzigen Pilz gefunden, es war eine unübersehbare Brühe! Die Kalbsleder waren hart und trocken. Das Honig für mein Tee wurde nicht gebracht. Der Raum war sehr kalt. Wir haben es ganz anders in Erinnerung.. tolle Speisen. Wir kommen nie wieder.. nicht zu empfehlen!!

Das beste gutbürgerliche Restaurant mit leckerer deutscher Küche. Hier wird wirklich für das Geld etwas geboten. Ein entsprechendes Ambiente und der sehr gute Service überzeugen. Zudem gibt es einen Freisitz und auch einen Parkplatz nahe des Restaurants. Ich komme gern wieder. Daher für mich 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beim ersten Besuch waren die Twister-Pommes teilweise hart und scharf, dieses Mal gab es richtig gute selbstgemachte Pommes, die richtig Klasse waren! Bitte richtig in die Karte aufnehmen! :) Das Schnitzel war frisch und saftig mit toller Panade, und die Gans zart und sehr schmackhaft. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder. Schöne Weihnachten dem gesamten Team!

Gutes. Leckeres Essen ... nur beim Service ein kleiner Abzug .. an dem Tag leider zu viel Wartezeit für die Getränke.. aber die Bedienungen sind alle lieb , nett und hilfsbereit
