Forsthaus Raschwitz in Markkleeberg

Heute, am Donnerstag wollten wir unseren Croupon Geschenkgutschein in dem Haus einlösen, was auch bis zur Reservierung gut geklappt hat. Der Kellner wollte gleich zu Anfang am Tisch den Gutschein sehen, und da auf diesen kein Croupon wert drauf stand, wollte er diesen nicht annehmen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Kellner Herrn Straub war mehr als unzufrieden, nicht das er uns dann gleich mit du angesprochen hat, war er gar nicht daran Interessiert das Problem zu lösen und meinte das ist unser Problem. Auf Nachfragen nach dem Geschäftsleiter würde uns mitgeteilt das dieser nicht im Haus ist, aber er gab sich als Stellvertreter von diesen aus, was sich im Nachgang als falsch heraus stellte. Das Ende ist, wir haben das Lokal völlig unzufrieden verlassen ohne das wir den Gutschein einlösen konnte, und werden dieses auch auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen.

ir wollten heute mit einem bestätigten Groupon dort Essen gehen, schon am Empfang wurden wir durch Herr Straub unglaublich unfreundlich empfangen. Nach dem Gang zum Tisch wollte er als erstes den Groupon haben und sofort hieß es, dass der Gutschein nicht reicht (er muss sich ein Foto machen wo der Preis drauf steht)....dieser stand aber nicht drauf, da es ein Geschenk war.....unglaublich unfreundlich hat dieser schreckliche Mann (Herr Straub) angefangen zu diskutieren und zu Duzen ( das geht garnicht) und nach verlangen des Geschäftsführers hieß es, dass er nicht da ist und er (Herr Straub) sei der stellvertretende Geschäftsführer nach einer weiteren Diskusion mit einer netten Mitarbeiterin haben wir erfahren, dass Herr Straub garnicht der stellvertretene Geschäftsführer ist !!!! DIESER unglaublich unfreundliche Mensch (Herr Straub) hat uns eiskalt ins Gesicht gelogen ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken !!!!! Diesen Menschen (Herr Straub) würde ich ohne Worte entlassen !!!! Mit dieser Aktion hat er sein Chef und das ganze Restaurante in Frage gestellt. Zum Schluss hieß es, solange der Preis nicht auf dem Groupon steht, dürfen wir hier auch nicht essen (obwohl wir alles richtig gemacht haben, haben die ihr Problem zu unserem gemacht) -> NIE wieder geht's in das Restaurant und ich bete bei Gott, dass dieser gottlose Mensch (Herr Straub) schnellstmöglich das Restaurant verlassen kann, sonnst kommt wahrscheinlich bald keiner mehr in das Restaurant !!!!!!

We went to the Forsthaus Raschwitz for lunch today and had a really nice time with the food. The beetroot carpaccio was delicious, the ox cheeks were wonderful, and the dessert was a successful ending. What made our visit particularly pleasant was the excellent service provided by a blonde service lady. She looked after all of us with a lot of warmth and attention, was always friendly, approachable, kept an eye on allergies and had a special feeling for the needs of her guests. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel comfortable despite a somewhat rocky start. However, the handling of the last-minute cancellation of some guests was less pleasing. In times of a rampant flu epidemic, it should actually be understandable that plans change at short notice, especially if you give notice even a day in advance. Unfortunately, we had to prove the cancellation again on the day itself, which rather spoiled the start of our visit. Thanks to the excellent service and good cuisine, we have positive memories of the visit overall.

It was once again a great experience to be in the village, with delicious food and really nice service.

Wir hatten uns auf einen kulinarischen Abend gefreut. Mit einem Croupon-Geschenkgutschein wollten wir gestern , am Montag, einen schönen Abend genießen, der uns dann schon bei der Anmeldung beim Kellner vermiest wurde. Wir hatten ein Crouponschein, auf dem kein Wert in Zahlen stand, dafür QR-code + Strichcode+ coupon-Nr..... Der Kellner (anfangs noch freundlich) erklärte uns gleich zu Anfang, das die Wildkarte für Croupon nicht zutrifft, da " die Kalkulation nicht passt". Als wir ihn dann den Gutschein geben wollten, wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, das er diesen so nicht nehmen kann, da kein Crouponwert drauf steht... Auch der Chef ist leider seit Montag im Urlaub.. Es führte kein Weg rein, den Gutschein einzulösen und er ließ uns dann einfach sitzen....wahrscheinlich in der Hoffnung, das wir ohne Gutschein speisen werden... Wir denken, das es ein Masche ist, um Gäste ins Lokal zu locken und die dann ohne Croupon den Normalpreis zahlen.... Alleine schon 5,90euro für ein 0,5l Fassbier ist nicht mehr normal. Wenn man dann Rezessionen liest, kann man froh sein, dort nichts gegessen zu haben... Also keine Empfehlung für dieses traditionelle Gasthaus

Reservation: you have to pay 10 euros for an “empty place setting”. This means that if someone cannot come with you at short notice, you pay 10 euros for the missing person. Cancellations are possible up to 10 p.m. one day in advance free of charge. Unfortunately, something can always come up spontaneously. Illness etc. Therefore, I find it very unattractive to pay 10 euros for this case. I now prefer to reserve the regular Friday rounds "From Markkleeberger for Markkleeberger" of 15 people at another restaurant.

We were there on January 2nd. with 4 people in the restaurant. The Forsthaus Raschwitz is a traditional restaurant that already existed when I was a child and yet this was my first visit. You will be welcomed and seated in the entrance area. The ambience is wonderfully rustic and reminiscent of “old times”. It fits perfectly with the traditional building! The staff is friendly and quick. The map is well sorted but not overloaded. There remains a firm belief that everything is freshly prepared. We had meat three times and fish once and only the latter was a disappointment as it was poorly boned. Everything tasted good and the price-performance ratio was also good. I would like to mention that the sanitary facilities can be found in the basement and there is also a stair lift for guests with physical limitations. That struck me as positive! Conclusion: I really enjoyed my first visit! We really enjoyed it and we would like to come back again. We wish the team continued success and nice guests!

Kleines Neujahresessen im Forsthaus Raschwitz, sehr netter Empfang , klasse Essen und auch die Nachspeise war ein Genuss. Absolut empfehlenswert, auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung.

The forester's house is a long-established house and the quality varies quite a lot depending on the respective hole. The food is definitely good and nicely presented. However, you get the impression that not everything is prepared by hand using fresh ingredients. For the desired quality and the price - salmon = €24.90 - a little more should be offered. The ambience is solidly rustic, a large wood-panelled room, very nice but quite loud. Surprisingly, an order for 7 people would be prepared with a table of 6 and, upon request, it would be possible to move it, but oh wonder even a table of 6, there is only one big ?. Opinions differ when it comes to service. Anyone who likes "dozens" and "What do we want to drink" or "The aunt made a mistake" will be welcomed very well, everyone else who wants a little more professionalism has to tolerate it. The order was quick, the delivery was OK, sometimes a little reminder helped but with 2 service staff it was definitely OK. It was a successful evening at a good level with decent food in a nice atmosphere - there is definitely room for improvement. Thank you.

There were five of us and we had reserved well in advance. The note that a “penalty fee” will be charged if you come with fewer people than reserved or if you cancel a day in advance, well. Had a few tables canceled. The shop wasn't full, but our table wasn't ready. Then we ordered and the spiced meat came straight away, even though it was supposed to come with the main courses. At other tables, the seasoned meat came before the drinks. Then came Lent. Over an hour wait for the main courses. When asked, reference was made to the full store. Then it was quick and it was mediocre. Dry chicken on the salad. It was hard to taste the difference between bread and chicken. Veal schnitzel, also dry. The rest wasn't a great experience either. Conclusion Overload in the kitchen and service. Unfortunately, it's far too expensive for that.

Very good and tasty food and also a delicious beer, not the one available everywhere in Leipzig and the surrounding area. Finally a tasty change. The staff is very friendly and has fun at work. The Forsthaus Raschwitz is highly recommended!

A restaurant to eat out. Everything was good, but the service took some getting used to. Forced funny sarcasm... even with sharp counterattacks from us, no end. Personally, I had veal liver. Not everyone can cook. It was perfect including side dishes.

I've been to the forester's house several times for private celebrations. I can only rate the buffet menu and that was always great. I can't say anything bad about the service either. Parking is also available

We wanted to test the restaurant today for our big family celebration. The restaurant is very stylishly decorated and the food was okay, but the gentleman with glasses who served us didn't work at all. In a place like this I don't expect to be called by the staff, even though I asked him about it, he continued to call us and the comments he made were also very inappropriate and intrusive. Conclusion of the evening, thanks to the gentleman, our family celebration will not take place there.

Top service, great ambience, very tasty food. They have really thought of everything, when you go to the toilet there is a small lift at the stairs. This means that even people with limited mobility can reach the location without any complications. Thank you very much for the great hospitality. Keep it up. We recommend you wholeheartedly. The service staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone made a very nice impression and served us quickly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that convincing. The pork knuckle was so dry that you could hardly eat it and the country beer sauce that came with it didn't taste like anything. The schnitzel was also quite dry and didn't look freshly prepared. The Twister fries were very hard. All in all, unfortunately disappointing, although the location and service were very good.

All in all quite ok. Food was delicious and attractively prepared. The children's meal was also really nicely decorated and not so run of the mill. I found the toilets underground, especially the smells, everything disappears there. I also found the highly advertised playground on the property very questionable. Pretty run down, the seat board on the seesaw was half splintered away, the rungs to the slide were splintered, overall it just wasn't well cared for and attention was paid to it, which is why it is specifically advertised as "family friendly" on the homepage. Anyone who chooses a restaurant based on such criteria (opportunities for children to do) will probably be disappointed.

I called at 8:45pm and asked for a table (arriving 8:50pm). We were very kindly invited to come, even though the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. The service was friendly and accommodating; I had the feeling that, despite the time, they took all the time a guest could wish for. The food was very nicely prepared and tasty. We'd love to come back!

After 30 years, we as old connoisseurs and friends of the house The forester's house was used again for the first time on October 19, 2024 to take part in a golden wedding celebration. The wedding guests had different impressions of the decor. But the opinion was unanimous after eating the food namely - miserable. Not here again! Although different menus were ordered, none of the 12 guests were satisfied. On the contrary. Technically a disaster. Even the dishes didn't match the menus. The wedding dinner was sabotaged. What have they made of our “Forsti”.

As a native of Leipzig, I have always wanted to visit this location because I have driven past it countless times. It exceeded my expectations. The food is very good, the waitress is fun and helps with good recommendations and professional knowledge. It's also very good that it's open all day from midday onwards, meaning you can eat at slightly unusual times. I'll try to stop by as often as I can instead of driving past.

I picked up two portions there via To good to Go... These two portions had the volume of four... In that regard, it was great... Always a pleasure...

Beautiful beer garden under a wonderful canopy of trees. With self-service for drinks and ordering, the food is then brought out. The dishes were all very good. The playground is also great.

We went to our favorite restaurant again and were not disappointed. Once again, extremely nice service, including communication😊, ambience and fantastic food gave us a wonderful evening. I had ox cheeks, simply delicious, as promised, very tender, all in all perfect. Portion and value for money are absolutely right for me. The same applies to the Kassler neck roast. We say thank you very much and will come back soon.😉

We were in the outdoor seating area, you have to bring your drinks to the table yourself and the food is brought to you. It was schnitzel week - each schnitzel was €14. It was super tasty and fun. A wonderful end to summer in September.

The beer garden is so beautiful. There is also a playground for children. September 22nd, 2024 last beer garden day of the year there.

We have been here again for a long time. It was just a disappointment. The food wasn't freshly cooked, but it was way too expensive. The salmon was old and dry, simply inedible. Individual components on other plates were cold or the plates were hotter than the food on them. The service employee tried hard and had a well-rehearsed justification for everything, which I promptly rewarded with an unreasonably large tip. It's a shame about this beautiful house but we won't be coming back.

We stayed at the Völkerschlacht guesthouse in K.-Wachau (great) and were on our way through. We discovered the restaurant by chance and were lucky, Wednesday is schnitzel day. Very, very tasty and a large portion, unfortunately there was no room for dessert. Service excellent. Highly recommended.

Very nice old style restaurant. Very clean and tidy and the design in general is pleasing to the eye. The service was great and the waiters were extremely friendly and attentive and paid great attention to our well-being. The food was also perfect, the meat was tender, the sauce had a strong flavor but wasn't too spicy and it was well prepared. If you don't manage to eat the whole portion, you can easily have it packed up to take away. The only thing that was unfortunately very annoying were the flies and wasps that were constantly sitting on the food (we were sitting inside the house), so it was best to sit further behind the restaurant. But all in all it was a great experience for the whole family, thanks to the entire team❤️

Today's visit to the beer garden: The location itself is nice, only half full. Male waiter at the drinks station makes judgmental comments about the order, e.g. ordered cola is referred to as “G*ft”, cyclist with “I thought you were a man”. The older gentleman in front of me was completely perplexed by this. In addition, the waiting time for the food was >45 minutes, which was also disappointing. Can't understand the other reviews, won't be coming back. The waiter in question is damaging business!

Quite nice. Gnocchi with basil pesto was very monotonous in taste and overall too well done, but the focus here is clearly not on vegetarian dishes and it was also quite full.

Well, I can't make a recommendation. The kitchen cannot convince with its offering, although the menu is very clear and one gets the impression that a small selection of dishes is combined with high quality. Almost absurd when you think about how long the house has been in business. There was no running water at the sink in the men's toilet - I've never experienced that before. The service is good. All employees are honestly trying (restaurant).

Almost no vegetarian options. There was a quite expensive salad with parmesan...we also paid for the meat side dish we chose.

The restaurant actually makes a very good impression. We ate outside in the beer garden. The map is clear. Unfortunately, two of the dishes we requested were sold out. - How can tarte flambée be sold out? - You order at a pavilion. The food is brought to the table after some time. The currywurst was lukewarm. There could have been more meat on the duck burger. The prices were a bit high overall. There is a parking lot across the street.

Were there for a friend's birthday dinner. Upon request (with prior reservation) a birthday table was to be set up, which unfortunately did not stand out visually much from the rest of the tables and, according to hearsay from my acquaintances, a small fee was even charged for this, which I find really unpleasant, a weak one Performance represents the result and was therefore a cross-sectional topic of conversation at the table... It should be in the restaurant's interest to attract such high-spending groups, after all, that brings in sales. The menu was very manageable, which usually means that the dishes selected are top class given the size of this restaurant, but the food was just better average. Don't get me wrong, it's tasty, but it's not an extraordinary culinary event either. (For example, the adjoining garden canteen of our KGV with a comparable interior for less money made far more effort to please the guests and the plates were also fuller, but that was just a subjective, casual comment.) The waiter, who mainly served us, tried to make funny jokes and sayings, which not everyone liked, but hey... (As we all know, humor varies greatly, so I don't take a hard view of it) ... but when you notice that all the other guests who arrive are greeted with exactly the same phrases, it somehow no longer has any charm. Of course it is difficult to be creative in the long term, but the core competence should actually be, for example, preparing the restaurant, beautiful tables or birthday tables 😜as well as satisfying the guests as best as possible (as a waiter) and not cabaret. In summary, a location that had a good reputation with us, especially through word of mouth, but is now eating away at it and is unfortunately inferior to it. As to whether this facility is really recommendable, apart from a visit to the beer garden, I would rate it as neutral at best. You can do it, but you don't have to (anymore). Nevertheless, I wish the restaurant and its guests all the best and a pleasant stay. 🍀We're looking forward to a nice cold bowl of hops again by Men's Day, where our bike tour typically runs along your beer garden. 😜👍

Vielen Dank es war gestern ein geschmackvoller und freundlicher Service im Forsthaus Raschwitz zur Geburtstagsfeier. Heisse Teller, Futter ist ehrlich und schmeckt, der Service ist zu empfehlen! Rundum eine schöne Zeit in diesem schönen Restaurant genossen.

Unfortunately disappointing, you wait forever until the food comes (about 1 hour) and then some of it is cold. Knuckle too dry and far too little sauce. Burger was cold, ragout fin was too mixed and the dark cellar beer was watery. Unfortunately the outdoor area was not prepared either. When we sat down, the table was quickly wiped down and then someone started sweeping. He kicked up so much dust that we asked him to stop. I think you have to do something like that before you open and guests come. The prices are also very reasonable, but the food and ambience should be right, otherwise you won't come back. Very unfortunate!!!

I would like to tell everyone else who is interested about my visit today (August 18, 2024 lunch). Particularly noteworthy is Ms. Wendt, who mainly served us at the table. Very friendly, careful, comes to the table at just the right distance to ask for new requests. Regarding the other points: - I think it's a bit stupid that there are different service staff, one brings drinks, the other brings the food, someone else for dessert, etc. In total we probably had 4 or 5 different service staff - a main course was almost completely forgotten, the waitress who brought the food must have noticed that someone didn't have any food yet, and it was only brought when they asked - Food itself was good but not phenomenal, I had the deer goulash and the chanterelle soup, soup was ok, unfortunately a bit too much pepper, I looked in vain for a few real pieces of chanterelles - I'm not a fan of pureed soups - deer goulash in a deep plate Personally, I find it a bit unfortunate because everything just sort of falls together On the whole it was ok but generally I have to say that things have deteriorated a bit in the forester's house over the years. No properly set tables - no tablecloth, just placemats, cutlery not polished with lots of water stains There was also a male service member on duty today who was simply unpleasant. Perhaps interesting for the management, as far as I could see there were 2 gentlemen on duty. One with a bald head and the other with no hair. The gentleman with hair was the unpleasant one. He came up with some pointless comment about feminism and was just generally a bit arrogant and over the top. An 80-year-old lady was referred to casually (I personally find it inappropriate in this restaurant) Additionally, we came back to the restaurant from a short smoking break and the unpleasant gentleman, who had been at our table several times, asked us if we already had a table. Yes, it doesn't have to be that way. I have to say, I would come back again and try the beer garden and the schnitzel Wednesday but overall it is not my next stop when the next family meal comes up.

Unfortunately, the food was (repeatedly) unconvincing, schnitzel, for schnitzel week, did not seem freshly prepared, side dishes placed carelessly on the plate. Service, on the other hand, was very good...nice, fast, entertaining, that's it! The atmosphere in the beer garden is great!

The food could come a little earlier. An hour and a half later is a bit long. Otherwise everything was very tasty. Gladly again.

Good home-style food with a surprisingly varied but consistent menu. Service was ok, even if we were forbidden to sit outside due to an announced rain break (no rain came during our visit). The food took a long time, despite there being fewer guests, and tasted okay, but not phenomenal either. However, the cleanliness is definitely worth mentioning. Cobwebs in the corners, on the ceilings, dead insects on the window sills and shelves in the toilet areas that had not been cleaned for a long time made our visit a unique one.

Unfriendly Eastern European service with black hair. As always, the food was great and nothing was missing. Unfortunately, the reception made the hunger go away a bit.

We were there twice, once in the beer garden (Wednesday) and once in the restaurant (Saturday). On that Wednesday the food was “okay”. Long waiting times including standing in line for drinks and food orders that you have to do yourself at the pavilion. Today we went into the restaurant, there were a few tables free. We waited more than 45 minutes for the food, and when we asked how long it would take, the response from the kitchen was simply forgotten. When I said "let's go again" I felt flippant/arrogant/sarcastic?! replied that 45 waiting times wouldn't be long with an expression of "what do you expect on a Saturday?!". Definitely not a recommendation!

Yesterday we went to the Raschwitz forester's lodge with great anticipation, attracted by the attractive website that made us want to visit. But unfortunately the high expectations were followed by great disappointment. **Conclusion: Unfortunately not recommended.** The chanterelle soup was tasteless and offered no culinary surprises. The plates of the main course were hot when served, but the temperature of the food left a lot to be desired. What was particularly disappointing was that both the schnitzel and the röstis gave the impression that they came from the freezer and were not freshly prepared. The service left a mixed impression. While some employees were friendly, others seemed overwhelmed and didn't remember our orders afterwards. This led to unnecessary confusion and extended waiting times. Overall, the Forsthaus Raschwitz unfortunately presented itself as more than mere appearance, without the corresponding culinary or service-related essence. It's a shame, it was our first and last time there!

Hi everyone, I can only rate the beer garden. This was absolutely okay but it just needs a little more intensive care. Unfortunately, the playground is already pretty worn out but still functional. Despite it not being busy on a Thursday, the service wasn't quite as good. It was self-service and there were clear instructions from the staff on how to do what. The duck burger that we were so looking forward to was unfortunately only given a grade of 4. All in all, I wouldn't necessarily want to visit the beer garden again. However, according to friends, the indoor restaurant is said to be very, very good. Everything from the service to the food was said to be perfect. Conclusion: Try it out and see for yourself. Am 30.6. waren wir seit längerer Zeit mal wieder im kleinen Familienkreis zum Abendessen im Forsthaus Raschwitz und wurden von Chris sehr nett bedient. Die Schweinebäckchen sowie Gnocchi und ein kleiner Salat schmeckten sehr gut, auch mit der Weinauswahl und dem gepflegten Ambiente des Gastraumes waren wir sehr zufrieden, so dass wir gern mal wieder einkehren werden.
