Great cuisine! The team is very friendly, but we could have asked for drinks more often. The kitchen is really great, we enjoyed it very, very much! And this sensational sustainability, especially since no animal had to be tortured or killed for it! We'll be back!

An impressive experience if you're a vegan looking for well executed "meat" dishes. I especially liked the cold cucumber soup with scallops! We also got the vegan steak and pork. These were also good, but not as exceptional flavor and texture wise as the soup. Friendly staff.

Had the BEST evening! The service was kind, welcoming and great from entering to leaving. The "chicken" schnitzel with ligonberries and side of potato and cucumber salad was amazing - I could eat it everyday. Definately coming back next time I am in Berlin! The desert was delicious too. It was not busy on a Monday evening and we did not feel rushed in the slightest. Also, the food came really quick 🥳

Das Restaurant ist rustikal eingerichtet. Das gefällt mir. Das Personal ist nett, waren aber unterbesetzt. Ich hatte das vegane Hähnchenschnitzel. Das war schlicht nicht gut. Wenn die Panade 3 x dicker ist, als der Inhalt, der höchsten 2mm maß, kann das nichts werden, auch bei einem echten Hähnchen nicht. Kurzum: das Schnitzel war knochentrocken und steinhart. Der Gurken- und Kartoffelsalat waren gut. Dafür 21,-€ - das geht nicht!! Meine Tochter hatte den Matjes. Das Essen war wunderbar und mit 17,-€ völlig OK.

This restaurant lives up to its reputation! Every dish is well thought out and tastes sophisticated! Everything is reasonably priced and the portions are more than sufficient! The recommendation for vegan food in Berlin.

Normally I'm never completely satisfied with the typical German dishes that I know from home, because they usually taste different from my mother's. But here I was really extremely excited! The cucumber salad, the fried potatoes, the meat dishes - it really tasted exactly how it should taste! And then 100% vegan! Really hearty and tasty. A good selection of dishes, as well as a changing seasonal menu. There was a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning, the staff is very friendly. The portions of the main courses were so large and filling that we unfortunately couldn't manage any more dessert. It's a little more expensive, but worth every penny as everything is very fresh, the dishes are very unusual and apparently the vegan meat is also handmade. The only negative point is that it is unfortunately not very comfortably furnished. But still: Försters is my new favorite restaurant for German dishes!

The Försters even impressed my 81-year-old father, he is generally very open to vegan food and the three of us enjoyed everything very much. Schnitzel, chanterelles, cheese wedges, wine and beer. Thanks to the service.

Amazing place for unique vegan food

Service unfreundlich, Essen lieblos angerichtet, Schnitzel trocken und überwürzt. Schade, wir waren schon oft hier und der Service ist in letzter Zeit total unfreundlich geworden und nicht aufmerksam. 3 Servicekräfte stehen hinter der Theke und unterhalten sich anstatt sich um die wenigen Kunden zu kümmern. Ohne Reservierung wird man abgewiesen, obwohl das Restaurant leer war. Wir haben dem Restaurant dann noch eine 2. Chance einige Monate später gegeben, wieder abgewiesen. Weil gerade ein Gewitter kam, durften wir uns draußen hinsetzen. Nach 5 Minuten im Regen durften wir dann komischerweise drinnen sitzen, obwohl ja alles reserviert sei. Nach einer Stunde haben wir das Restaurant verlassen und es waren immer noch maximal 5 Tische belegt, Rest war leer. Da sieht man, dass die 3 Servicekräfte einfach keine Lust auf Arbeit haben! Sehr schade, war früher wirklich ganz anders!!!

The food at this place was simply fantastic. If you want to try an authentic vegan Wiener schnitzel, this is the place. From starters to desserts, this place knows how to deliver high-quality vegan food! I would definitely recommend the strawberry tiramisu, which was as delicious as it sounds. The atmosphere was a bit of a let-down, to be honest. Many other reviews mention that making a reservation is the smart thing to do, but when we arrived at around 18:00 there was almost no-one there. This made for a bit of a quiet experience in the restaurant. While the service was quick and friendly, it almost felt a bit rushed. We had not even finished the starters yet before the next round came. Overall, we had a great experience but there were some things that could have been a little better.

My husband said the chicken schnitzel tastes exactly like the real deal.

Food Starters Vegan Cheese Wedges with Salad. My non vegan said it was very nice, and tasted like real cheese! They said I needed to order my own if I wanted any! Soup of the day (cauliflower) was tasty. Main I had the vegan roast beef, it was to die for! Definitely one of the best vegan meals I’ve eaten. The roast beef was so different to any vegan meat I’ve ever eaten, full of flavour, an interesting and delightful texture. My dad had the vegan chicken snitzel, which I tried too, I didn’t personally like it as much. I wasn’t as keen on the flavours of the cucumber salad and potato salad, but that’s just a personal preference. Many I’m sure would enjoy the flavours. The snitzel was ok, fairly standard. But I had already been blown away by the vegan roast beef! Desserts Tried two, both great. Don’t miss dessert either. This is one of those places I’d say go for three courses, especially if you are a tourist like us. Vibe Soft lighting inside, outside seating under the verandah on cobbled floor. Chilled background music I’m only in the city for a few days, and usually I would be quite strict and not be tempted to go to the same place twice - to see as much as possible. But I want to make an exception for this place and have already picked out what dishes I want to order myself next time before we leave Berlin. The restaurant is more in suburbia, a little away from the main tourist places. But I thoroughly recommend, do make the trip!

One of the best Vegan places, great atmosphere, menu, presentation and quality of the food.

The food with meaty names was good. Maybe there was a ceiling light missing in the corner, but otherwise it was ok. The service was nice. All in all I was satisfied.

I had dinner at this restaurant and appreciated the kind and efficient service, as well as the fully vegan menu and the use of seasonal products. For a starter, I had the vitello tonnato. The texture of the vegan meat was quite chewy and reminiscent of wet bread, which I didn't particularly enjoy, but I did like the flavor of the sauce. For the main course, I ordered vegan chicken with chanterelles and truffle potato purée. The chanterelles were nice but could have been more seasoned, in my opinion. I was also disappointed that the purée had no truffle flavor, especially since the dish costs €27. The vegan chicken was relatively bland, but I liked its texture and mixed it with the chanterelles for more flavor. I didn't have dessert since the main portion was very satisfying. The room is a bit dark and felt somewhat empty, so you might prefer sitting outside.

The vegan "chicken" schnitzel with potato salad, pickles and lingonberry jam was absolutely delicious. I wish I could magically transfer Fösters to my home town so I could try every dish on the menu.

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews. Whilst the staff were very pleasant, sadly the food didn't meet expectations. Portions were far too big to need more than one course. Caesar salad was served with hot chicken slices and chewy croutons that you were unable to get a fork through. The aubergine "herring" was basically raw and served with a creamy sauce that made for a quite unpleasant texture and eating experience. The bruschetta was tasty as was the schnitzel but again too large to enjoy as an overall experience. Maybe we were unlucky with our meal choices from reading other reviews but wouldn't recommend based on our experience.

Whoever likes it! Everything was freshly prepared, but it took a very long time. There was very little going on.

I used to really enjoy going to Försters because they had delicious and vegan dishes. Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly in the last two years. This was probably my last time there and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was particularly shocked by the prices. 20€ for 4 sticks of asparagus, a few potatoes and a bit of tasteless hollandaise is really excessive and in my opinion no longer justified. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. When it comes to taste, you can't go wrong with asparagus and potatoes, but there wasn't even a side salad on the plate for the price. The hollandaise tasted like absolutely nothing. I was a long-time customer, but I probably won't come back.

Without a doubt, the best restaurant I had the chance to discover during my stay in Berlin. You will discover regional specialties in their vegetable version and the menu changes with the seasons, always favoring local fruit and vegetable harvests. The evening we went there with my friend, we were able to discover cheese spaetzle and roast beef von der färse. I opted for the piece of meat and it was simply astonishing. It’s been 10 years since I’ve had this kind of feeling again! It was delicious and the rhubarb crumble that I had for dessert was also very, very good. In short, an address where I will not fail to return.

Nach einer Stunde stellte das Personal fest, dass sie die Bestellung vergessen hatten, dann war der Spargel ungeschält, der Lax schmeckte.... sehr undefiniert. Wenigstens wurden die Getränke von der Rechnung genommen, dennoch: never again!

Once again Försters delivers. Thanks to some public transport issues we were very late, we phoned ahead and they held the table for us, and went out of their way to relax us when we got there late and flustered. The asparagus soup was incredible, and reason enough to visit. We tried two different kind of Schnitzels, one soy, one vegan chicken. Both accompanied with their potato salad (which has pickles, capers and apple in it), cucumber salad and lingonberry preserve. As always the service is a delight, it's very well priced for the quality of the food, with a neat little beer selection and it's just downright delicious vegan food.

Truly a must-visit for vegans in Berlin. Good vibes, great interior and the food is fantastic.

In many restaurants it is difficult as a vegan to find anything to eat...at Försters the difficulty lies in having to choose one of the many delicious dishes. Great service and delicious food across the board.

We always enjoy going to Försters. Varied and delicious dishes, fair prices and the friendly, relaxed approach of the service always makes us feel welcome. Our number 1 place in Berlin.

The food is good but way too expensive!

Small menu, fresh preparation, high quality food. For the vegan palate who wants some good “German” food, Försters is the perfect place. The restaurant itself appears upscale and elegant. The dishes are reasonably priced but not for those on a budget. All in all worth a visit!

The best vegan schnitzel I've ever eaten. The beer takes some getting used to, but it's definitely a matter of taste. Gladly again :)

If you like schnitzel you will cry. You will cry for happyness! I have never eatin - probably also before to become vegan - a so much delicous cordon bleu, as that I ate tonight. Perfectly fried and with a kind of ham and cheese inside, that cross beyond the perfect flavour of the perfect food. Staff very friendly, beer (von fass) very good and the right price for the quality and quantity of food. Try it: you will thank me for this suggestion.

Can only recommend. Very good food, with veganized German classics, not many choices of dishes, but this is actually good because this way the kitchen can focus on a selection of dishes and guarantee their quality. Service was ok, but not exceptional, but we also came in 1 hour before closing, so this is somewhat understandable.

***WARNING. HAIR IN FOOD*** I get here and it immediately smells like sewage. Horrible smell. But I was too tired to go anywhere else after being jet lagged and a day of travel. I get the marinated vegan beef as a starter. I find A BLONDE HAIR in it. The waitress with short hair apologizes and brings out a new one. At the end of the dinner they still charged me for it. Where I’m from, in America, they don’t charge you if you find hair or anything disgusting in your food. I asked them why I had to pay when they found hair in it. They didn’t really give me an answer. Where I’m from that’s rude to still make the person pay when you FIND HAIR IN THE FOOD. This place is super nasty and the food is cold and disgusting. The woman with the short brown hair is rude. What a disgrace.

The service was nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the store is very cold and uncomfortable. The walls are bare and full of stains and scratches. The vegan meat alternatives were creative. Unfortunately the food was seasoned a bit boring. The side dishes were too few and relatively listless. Way too many onions on both plates and not enough other vegetables. The price also seems too high for the food in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Just fine! The menu mainly includes German “classics” in a vegan version. We had four different dishes and everything was delicious, and the service was also very friendly. The prices are a little higher, but I still think they are reasonable.

The vegan meat dishes were extremely tasty, and the bedside tables were also very delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would love to come back.

Really nice veganized traditional German food. The desserts were delicious. That vegan white chocolate mousse was something I wasn't expecting to be that great but it was really delicious. The creme brulee was also really delicious. Overall, I recommend anyone to go have a nice meal there. Please book before hand as it is always full.

100% vegan local cuisine restaurant from food to drinks. The concept is very interesting. The restaurant is well located in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg and easy to reach. This was not the first time I ate at this restaurant and I must say that I, unfortunately, noticed a decline in the quality of the food on offer during my last visit. The dessert was not pleasant at all and the schnitzel was quite tough. Very low quality/price. For the price paid I would have expected much more. The only positive note was the service, well organized and with friendly staff who lived up to expectations. I also recommend giving a little more tone to the decor of the room which is a little bare and monotonous.

I'm torn about this restaurant: 1) super cool that it is vegan and offers German/Austrian cuisine. Where else do you get that? And the food was really successful. Schnitzel very believable. 2) it is relatively expensive...as German cuisine is. 3) The potato salad is so wet that the schnitzel gets wet, which is something that many people criticize here and it also bothers them. They don't want to change it when asked. 4) the service and ambience is questionable. Not particularly comfortable. Friendly staff but hardly visible. Rather talk to each other than to the guests. Am I coming back? Not so soon...maybe when I'm with vegan friends and they really want schnitzel.

Dishes didn't live up to the price. Apart from the fact that the portions were relatively small, it tasted relatively bland and lacked that certain extra something. The wine, however, tasted very good. Service was OK.

Food and service were perfect. There was nothing to complain about with the roulade or the corn-fed chicken. A perfect vegan meal. The quantity was absolutely sufficient. The restaurant is also quite cozy. It was just a shame that not one of the two non-alcoholic beers was available. In addition, it is a bit inconvenient if you are presented with a weekly menu alongside the normal menu without mentioning that the main course is also no longer available. The non-alcoholic wine was my highlight.

We went there for dinner after I had been there a few years ago and found everything delicious. The reservation worked perfectly online. Unfortunately the food and drinks weren't good at all this time. I ordered an Aperol Spritz, which was most likely made with white wine (unlike on the menu). There was nothing with spray. The cheese wedges that we ordered as a starter were forgotten and brought during the main course when we asked. They were okay, but €9 for three mediocre cheese wedges isn't worth it in my opinion. We had the Wiener Schnitzel and the Cordon Bleu, both of which were unfortunately very, very dry and not our thing in terms of taste, although we are quite open about that. When we asked for a sauce, we were only offered cranberries, and there was no ketchup with the fries. The best thing was the small leaf salad that was offered with the schnitzel because at least there was dressing on it. But the portions were large enough to fill you up well. For dessert we had crème brûlée, which tasted quite good. Unfortunately I won't be coming back, although I think the concept of the restaurant is very good.

If your appetite calls for traditional cuisine and you want it to be vegan, Försters is a great address!

We are absolutely thrilled that Försters offers creative vegan alternatives to carnivore classics. We had starter salad with tofu feta (1A), schnitzel and corn-fed chicken (vegan of course) and to top it all off, vegan creme brulet. The service was perfect and very friendly. We would be happy to come back 👍🏼

I went to Försters for the first time yesterday for my birthday. We received a very friendly welcome and the service was very courteous and attentive :) The food and the white wine were very tasty! Of course the prices are not the lowest, but you can tell that effort is put into the preparation and the food is sourced regionally and seasonally wherever possible. Thank you for the lovely evening in your restaurant. We will be back :))

Unfortunately disappointing. The food wasn't that special and not that much choice. Two types of schnitzel, no sausages as a starter, no dumplings. You could do so much more and be more creative. The food wasn't bad per se, but not something that made us say: bah, you have to go back. In addition, €21.50 is overpriced for a rather small vegetarian schnitzel.

This place was AMAZING. My wife and I have newly started eating Vegan and we found this spot. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated by a really friendly waitress. I was torn between 2 entrees and so I asked her opinion. She shared her thoughts on the choices and she was not wrong. My wife and I both chose the vegan cheese wedges with lingonberry sauce starters.... it was heaven in the shape of a wedge.... for the main course, I went with the saffron risotto with vish and my wife had soy roulade... she hummed the whole time. LoL. My risotto was a portion large than I could eat but I absolutely loved the vish. To round it out, we had creme brulee and the chocolate mousse. I wish my stomach could have had more space for a second portion. My wife is a chocolate lover and her mousse hit all her chocolate lover buttons. All in all it was an awesome night, with amazing food, a beautiful atmosphere, and amazing service. This is a place we definitely want to visit again and would recommend to anyone who loves Vegan food and is looking for a great option or is unsure about vegan food and wants to understand just how amazing it can be. I wish we had asked the waitresses their names because they were both so awesome!

Very very tasty. Service a bit absent and quiet, but still very nice. “Outdoor terrace” nice. However, the interior is a bit cold and carelessly furnished. Still an absolute recommendation.

Super nice hosts, great cooking and absolutely fair prices. The vegan interpretation of upscale “home cooking” is very well done. I recommend making reservations, even if you can get lucky spontaneously. A popular restaurant, and rightly so!

I went to eat there last month and it was super good! Delicious vegan meal and the staff was very nice as well!

Nice, quiet atmosphere, very friendly service and really tasty, vegan food with large portions. We would recommend it to others at any time and of course we would come again ourselves.

There are two schnitzel dishes with identical side dishes and sauce, although the "chicken" is four euros more expensive. The dishes have no salad, nothing fresh/green, no side salad as an option/starter or similar. The rosemary potatoes were nothing special, barely fried/roasted. I think the dumplings at the "goose" weren't cooked, but rather balled up mashed potatoes. But the dessert was particularly disappointing. Of the two options, neither were good. The mulled wine pear was not ripe and had not been cooked long enough to compensate for this, it lacked sweetness. The parfait was frozen and barely melted, also because no sugar was used. The tiramisu consisted of tasteless whipped cream and a solid base that couldn't hold coffee syrup. The so-called apple chutney served with it was in a liquid sauce and too sweet. Drinks good, service good, but a restaurant is all about the food and unfortunately it's just too bad for the prices.

This is probably one of the best vegan restaurants in town. I loved their course selection, inspired by local food traditions. Top food quality, sophisticated recipes and delicious taste. The staff is welcoming, kind, and attentive. The ambience could use some improvements here and there, but overall the experience was excellent: not only do I recommend it, but I will for sure go again!
