Super Essen und wahnsinnig netter Service!

Wir können die ganzen himmelhoch lobenden Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Die zwei Forellen waren sehr lieb und fantasielos gewürzt, die Grillkartoffeln waren aufgewärmt und das beste war fast noch das Kalbschnitzel. Bei den Preisen leider doch sehr enttäuschend. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, aber das ist leider auch das einzige Highlight. Hatten gehofft ein Restaurant hier zu finden das Fisch und Fleisch liefert, müssen aber sagen dass es hier doch weit gefehlt ist.

Sensationell gutes Essen freundlich und zuvorkommend serviert! Was gesondert erwähnt gehört, ist der tolle Biergarten, mit den schönen Bäumen, die es auch bei den aktuell vorherrschenden Temperaturen von >30°C ermöglichen genussvoll zu essen, dank des wunderbaren natürlichen Schattens. Wir kommen wieder, es war richtig schön bei Euch!

Googles Empfehlung: Ich bin mit dem Motorrad einen Umweg von etwa 50 km gefahren, nur um etwas zu essen, und es hat sich gelohnt: ein nettes Restaurant, leckeres Essen, exzellenter Service und eine wunderschöne Naturkulisse.

Das Restaurant war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben zweimal Forelle bestellt und der Service war ausgezeichnet.

Nach einer Wanderung hier hungrig eingekehrt und absolut begeistert. Sehr leckeres Essen und ein überragender Service. Lauter junge Menschen im Service, die so herzlich und aufmerksam waren, dass das sehr positiv auffällt.

Ein absoluter Traum für Fischliebhaber! Ich hatte in Sesam gebratene Zanderfilet und bin absolut begeistert. Der Fisch war handwerklich perfekt zubereitet: Die Haut war wunderbar kross und das Fleisch im Kern noch herrlich saftig und glasig – genau so, wie es sein muss! Man schmeckt sofort die Frische der Zutaten. Auch die begleitende Beilagen war fein abgeschmeckt und hat den Fisch nicht erschlagen, sondern perfekt untermalt. Auch die Forelle war ein kulinarischer Traum, sowie die Spargelsuppe und Fischsuppe.Ein großes Lob an die Küche, wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir haben dieses tolle Restaurant am Samstag Nachmittag auf der Rückfahrt aus den Bergen entdeckt und waren entsprechend ausgehungert. Wir waren absolut begeistert! Der Service und Qualität der Speisen waren fantastisch. Wir werden hier definitiv wieder anhalten!

Wir haben für 5 Personen für einen Feiertag vorbestellt. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, weiße Tischdecken, es gibt auch einen schönen Biergarten. Natürlich haben wir v.a. Forellen bestellt- unterschiedlichst zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen. Für Vegetarier gab es 3 verschiedene Gerichte, der Beilagensalat sah auch sehr gut aus. Rhabarberschorle und Hollunderblütenschorle wie ausgebackene Hollunderblüten passten sehr gut zur Jahreszeit. Service war freundlich. Ein wenig musste man auf das Essen warten- doch alles im grünen Bereich. Das Restaurant ist nicht günstig- doch bekommt man dafür auch gute Qualität.

Wir sind heute kurzentschlossen durch eine Empfehlung von ChatGPT hier zum Abendessen gelandet. Und wir haben es nicht bereut! Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service und hervorragendes Essen!!! Bei schönem Wetter kann man im Biergarten sitzen.

War seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre schon mehrmals dort, teilweise mit großen Zeitabständen, da in NRW lebend. Qualität und Service immer gleichbleibend top! Sehr heimelige, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Gasträume. Ein Kleinod in der Bayerischen Gastronomie. Mein Favorit ist die Forelle "Kleopatra" (mit Shrimps und Kapern), dazu - als Sonderwunsch - die gebackenen Kartoffeln aus der "italienischen" Forelle. Das vegane Himbeer- und Mangoeis ist super!

Tolles Lokal mit authentischer lokaler Küche mit eigener Fischzucht. Aber auch Fleischliebhsber und Veggies kommen hier auf ihre Kosten.

Wir sind zufällig auf diese Einkehr aufmerksam geworden. Beim Planen einer Wanderung auf der Plattform „Outdooractive“ lag dieser Gasthof auf unserem Weg. Da hier durchgehend (Mittwoch Ruhetag) Küche und Service geboten wird, kam uns diese Adresse sehr gelegen. In den Nachmittagsstunden war es kein Problem einen Platz in den gemütlichen Gaststuben zu bekommen. Wie wurden durch einen vorbildlich agierenden Service begrüßt und zu einem Tisch begleitet. Sowohl die Freundlichkeit, als auch die Fachkompetenz waren für uns absolut überzeugend und dienten einem sehr schönen gastronomischen Gesamterlebnis. Die Küche bietet im Schwerpunkt Gerichte von Forellen, Lachsforelle und Saibling aus den Fischbecken der hauseigenen Zucht. Ergänzend kommen Gerichte von Salzwasserfischen und edlem Fleisch hinzu. Wir hatten Forellenfilets mit Mandeln gebraten, Blattspinat und Kartoffeln. Begleitet von einer exzellenten Weinempfehlung durch die Chefin des Hauses. Als Nachspeise kredenzte man uns vorbildliche Äpfelküchle. Wir freuen uns, eine derartige Entdeckung am Rande von Bad Tölz gemacht zu haben und freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch im Juni, bei hoffentlich sommerlichem Wetter. Somit werden wir die Außengastronomie genießen und uns hoffentlich weiter verlieben - in ein traditionell geprägtes Gastronomiekonzept, welches zeitgemäße Einflüsse zulässt, ohne die grundsätzliche Gastfreundschaft außer Acht zu lassen. Hier hat es mir extrem gut gefallen. Die Forelle war absolut traumhaft. Es ist hier auch sehr gemütlich. Wir wurden auch sehr zuvorkommend bedient.

Immer eine gute Adresse - wir kommen schon seit vielen Jahren hierher und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Egal ob Fisch, Fleischoder Dessert - einfach lecker und der Service ist super freundlich.

Der Fisch war extrem frisch und lecker, lediglich die Beilagen hätten etwas besser arrangiert und zubereitet gewesen sein. Da geht noch etwas. Trotzdem, es war nett und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr gute Küche alle Gerichte sehr schmackhaft, wir waren zu sechst, jedem hat es geschmeckt! Der Service sehr freundlich, das Ambiente angenehm und sehr schön.

Etwas außerhalb von Bad Tölz, mit schönem Biergarten mit Sicht ins Grüne. Keine zu überladene Speisekarte, dafür alle Gerichte wirklich ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten Forelle, Saibling sowie Forellenfilet in Mandelkruste- alles sehr gut und große Portionen, auch die Gemüsebeilagen auf den Punkt. Zwei Personen waren mit ihrem Zwiebelrostbraten ebenfalls sehr zufrieden, auch Vorspeisen und Desserts waren top. Lediglich an der Einrichtung könnte vielleicht wieder etwas Feinarbeit geleistet werden (Farbe?). Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder.

Wir waren über Silvester in Bad Tölz und haben im Forellenhof gegessen. Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, super gemütlich, toller Service, nette Bedienungen und schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Waren als Paar da und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Sehr lecker gegessen,wer Fisch mag ist hier genau richtig. Ich spreche jetzt aber nur vom Fisch, da ich Fisch gegessen habe.

Superb fish, overall very good food, would gladly eat fish anytime (fresh from their own fish farm). It's expensive, but that's to be expected, and it's worth the price. Friendly service. All in all, would gladly come back!

We visited the Walgerfranz Trout Farm based on the positive reviews. We were also delighted with the food. The fish dishes were delicious and creative – very well prepared! But there are also excellent options for meat lovers on the menu. We'll definitely be back!

Yesterday we went to Walgerfranz's for the first time. I was looking forward to a "Forelle Blau" (a type of trout cooked in blue sauce). What arrived was a deep-fried trout. No root vegetables as usual. Either the chef has no idea what "Forelle Blau" is or he just can't be bothered, because it's quite a process. But I thought it was normal, given they have their own trout pond.

Super delicious food, excellent service, a lovely atmosphere, and in summer, one of the most beautiful beer gardens. Not just fish, but something for every taste, such as guinea fowl breast, alpine burgers, and much more.

A definite culinary highlight in Bad Tölz! As a symbiosis of gourmet and copywriter, my path to passionately honest reviews was already mapped out some time ago. This review of the Forellenhof Walgerfranz in Bad Tölz is a true pleasure for me. During my visit today, everything was as wonderfully harmonious as rarely before. Despite it being Kirchweih Sunday with fully booked reservations, we were very accommodatingly accommodated in a wonderful spot. And all this in a wonderfully upscale Bavarian-cozy atmosphere, including our dog. I was also delighted by the trained staff; very friendly, very attentive, and always eager to accommodate all our needs. Menus are politely handed out immediately upon seating. Drink requests are taken immediately. The food is served simultaneously if there are several people at the table. TOP! Special requests are very friendly and fulfilled. The food itself is fresh, expertly prepared, a feast for the eyes and even more so for the palate. It's also very good value for money. All this in a very appealing setting. The red of the curtains perfectly matches the red of the walls, and the decor reflects the restaurant's name. Plenty of free parking is also available. And after a delicious meal, you can go on nature walks right on site. In other words: Loving care has obviously been taken here to create a harmonious, all-round feel-good package. Very tasty fish dishes, very friendly service and great value for money

We've been eyeing it while driving past for decades, and now we finally stopped in for the first time: Our visit to the Forellenhof Walgerfranz was truly more than worth it and definitely won't be our last. Even making a reservation by phone was a highlight 😀 We were greeted with excellent service – warm, attentive, and almost like family. The menu is coherent and offers something for every taste. A fantastic selection of fish dishes, but meat lovers and vegetarians will also find something to their liking here. We were completely impressed by the price, service, and quality. The restaurant itself is lovingly decorated, with an inviting outdoor area and beer garden. As a charming extra, you'll also be greeted cheerfully by geese and chickens. A place where you feel at home – we'll definitely be back!

The food was simply wonderful, and the natural setting with the chickens and geese... is also fantastic. However, the outdoor areas could really use a fresh coat of paint to complete the picture. I would be happy to enjoy a trout here again!

Very nice restaurant, with a cozy atmosphere, fitting for the Forellenhof. When the weather is nice, there's a playground right outside. The food was very good. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. We'd love to come back!

After a long hike in the area, we decided to stop at Forellenhof Walgerfranz for dinner, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. The food is very good, the atmosphere is wow you’re right inside a pasture with animals around apple and pair trees very beautiful and relaxing The staff was helpful Mind you that what they translated as “pancakes” to english is actually “Crepe suzette”- which means we happily ate it because the kids didnt like the orange flavour 😄 We had one of the fish dishes with almond crust and spinach and potatoes on the side And the roast beef with Käsespätzle which were awesome The kids of course split a kids schnitzel dish which was big and tasty Highly recommended! (And was open on a Monday unlike many other places)

A very good place for fish lovers. Own ponds with trout, beautiful country settings, nice outdoor seating area, very nice design with many art objects (most with/about trout:)), a very quick and courteous service, and of course, the fresh and tasty fish accompanied by a good wine. Overall great experience. Good value for your money. Recommend.

From service to food and location, it's always an absolutely wonderful visit! We love coming with the family on Sunday lunchtime, and everyone is taken care of.

We discovered this restaurant on the way to Bad Tölz, with a lovely terrace surrounded by nature. We had zander fillet with chanterelle mushrooms, and both loved the food and the friendly service.

An excellent fish restaurant. A converted courtyard outside, surrounded by fish ponds. The exterior is beautiful, but the interior is also very upscale and tastefully decorated without losing any of its coziness. The fish dishes are varied and of top quality. The trout is often served filleted. The waiters are all highly trained and experienced, which is very noticeable. I highly recommend it.

And as so often, a chance discovery with an absolute desire to return!! Everything was GREAT! Apart from the creaky chairs, which could be labeled as authentic. But the important thing is 100% right: The food is amazing, both the fish and the meat, as well as the salads. Everything is fresh, everything is tasty, everything is highly recommended. The Croatian ladies in the kitchen master their craft with flying colors! The drinks are cool, the garden is cool, and the staff are cooler than cool. I don't mean that they don't show up, but that they are simply friendly, accommodating, and nice. If you're heading towards Bad Tölz, don't miss it!! We drove there especially from Munich to eat.

A beautiful, quiet beer garden with high expectations for the restaurant. The waiters were professional. The beer, a still lager, and trout with capers and shrimp were an indefinable mix that, in my opinion, needed a taste upgrade! It's a shame the chef didn't cater to my taste. The value for money is unsatisfactory in my opinion.

I was a guest for my birthday in January 2025 and it was wonderful. The service was attentive, professional and warm. Our little one was asked whether the food should be prepared immediately or whether it could be brought with the other main courses. And then my trout fillet with almond crust😍...the onion roast was also great! The red-orange walls in the dining room might make you a little nervous...so order a good glass of wine and enjoy. Thanks for the great time - we'll definitely be back!

Unsere bestellte Fischfillet (Forelle und Zander mit Sesam ummanteln) waren sehr gut vorbereitet. Die Essportionen waren sehr gut und wir waren gut satt. Zum Schluss haben wir auch noch ein Desert (Schockokuchen...) zu zweit. Insgesamt mit dem Service war alles perfekt 👌.

We went on a Friday at 2 p.m. It wasn't very busy, and there were plenty of seats inside. The trout fillet with spinach and char with white wine foam were very good and ready quickly. The service and atmosphere were very pleasant. We'd be happy to come back.

We celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday today in a beautiful separate room. The food (everything freshly prepared) and the service were excellent, like in a hotel. In any case, the Walgerfranz is highly recommended.

We often come to the Forellenhof, especially in the Summer. It's a very idyllic place to sit in the countryside, the waitresses are super friendly and the food is so delicious.
