A very pleasant place to stay. The food is excellent and the service is always recommended.

I can absolutely recommend the Forellenhof. The location just outside of Bad Tölz is really nice. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished, but we sat outside in the beer garden in the nice weather. The menu is very extensive and it wasn't easy for us to choose because there is a large selection of differently prepared fish. We chose the trout mouse with bread as a starter and it was very tasty. For the main course I had the trout Cleopatra with shrimp and capers. There were also potatoes and a small salad. My partner had a char siew with pesto. He also got potatoes and carrot vegetables. We both enjoyed it very much. We would definitely eat there more often if we lived in the area. The service is also very friendly and attentive.

Great restaurant, you can sit inside or outside on the inviting terrace. You have a nice view of the garden with the geese etc. The food is home-grown, the fish is excellent :) the service is great! You feel totally comfortable! The prices are totally reasonable for this top quality. For a fish you have to pay around 25 euros including the side dish. Thank you ☺️ everything was great

Fish soup was very good but could have had a little more fish flavor

We came from Bad Tölz and were looking for something to eat near our accommodation and found this great fish restaurant, beautifully located on the edge of the forest. Very tasty cuisine with lovingly prepared dishes. We had trout and it was delicious. 2 very attentive young waiters served us, very accommodating and super friendly.

In itself a very nice restaurant with a garden that is beautifully lit by the setting sun. Unfortunately, there is a strong smell at regular intervals (probably due to the wastewater from the fish ponds). The fish was tasty, but the vegetarian options were really not good. The stuffed pasta in sage butter floats in pasta water and a few overcooked pieces of tomato and leek are sprinkled on top with soft pumpkin seeds. The accompaniments to the meat (Spätzle) also tasted like they came straight from the bag. If you want to order something other than fish, the restaurant is unfortunately not recommended.

We celebrated a diamond wedding here and were quite impressed by the friendly service, which was very responsive to us and the celebrating couple. The table in the garden was festively set, very beautiful. The food - most of us of course had trout in various preparations - was excellent, only the vegetarians were not entirely satisfied with the rather small selection.

Wer Fisch mag muss hier einkehren. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte schmecken hervorragend. Ob im Biergarten oder in der tollen Atmosphäre im Restaurant, das wieder gehen fällt einem schwer. Dazu noch ein Top Service . Alles in allem 5 Sterne.

It's a shame, although there were hardly any guests there, very poor service. While eating, reach over the guest to the glasses with his jacket open. You weren't asked if you wanted a wine with your meal. After 10 minutes of eating, I went to the counter to get something for myself. Please note that the guest room was empty. The food was excellent as usual. It's a shame, I won't come back if guests are ignored.

Unfortunately, a very nice day, which was supposed to end with a nice dinner, turned into a chaotic meal for me thanks to the listlessness of the service. I ordered a trout Italian style. When this was served to me There was a complete fish in front of me, when I asked if she could help me, the waitress didn't offer any help. The result was an unsavory bone fight. The friendly clearer immediately recognized that it was a fiasco and said The fish would have been cooked for me if I had said something. Super nice restaurant, excellent food and excellent service. A private celebration was carried out wonderfully here, so we had a great time. It is particularly idyllic to sit on the terrace with a view of the countryside. Thank you very much and welcome again at any time!

An excellent menu. The fish are tender as butter and prepared very creatively. I recommend the lemon thyme trout on grilled vegetables with herb butter. Delicious. And the elderberry spritzer tastes great. The service is friendly and the waiting time is absolutely reasonable and entertaining for the fresh preparation. Shortly after we finished the salad, the main menu arrived. Everything was arranged very attractively and creatively...as we all know, the eye eats with us. Very large selection of desserts and special requests were even fulfilled. All in all it's worth the money.

If you love fish, you should head out and visit the Forellenhof Walgerfranz. We were there with several people and without exception the food was delicious. Whether starters, main courses or desserts. Everything was very nicely prepared. The staff friendly and accommodating. Prices are normal for the area. The beer garden is fantastic 🤩.

Very, very good, high quality food. A dream of fish dishes. The service is super nice and quick. We really enjoy coming here, even if it is a bit more expensive. Then we'd rather go out to eat less, but it's a pleasure. I have been going to Walgerfranz regularly with my family since I was a little girl and we pass this on to our daughter.

We ate here in the evening. Starters were relatively expensive and tasteless, the fish was good. The presentation of the dishes seemed a bit out of date. It was OK, but we wouldn't come here again because the price-performance ratio didn't suit us

Wir kommen seit etlichen Jahren immer wieder zum Walgerfranz. Im Sommer ein sehr schöner Biergarten und im Winter ein heimeliges und gemütliches Restaurant. Die Fischgerichte sind wirklich sehr gut. (Zanderfilet mit Trüffelbandnudeln und gebratenen Champions sind ein Gedicht) . Letztes Mal wollte ich mal keinen Fisch essen und bestellte mir Zwiebelrostbraten mit Käsespätzle. Das war leider ein Reinfall. Das Fleisch war leider nicht genügend angebraten und die Zwiebeln waren keine gerösteten sondern gedünstete. Außerdem war das Fleisch sehr zäh. Ich werde deshalb in diesem Restaurant nur mehr Fisch essen. Sollte man eigentlich in einem Fischrestaurant !!

Wir hatten die Forelle italienische Art mit Knoblauch und kann sagen: einen so perfekt zubereiteten Fisch habe ich selten gegessen, toller Service in richtig schönem Ambiente: wir kommen sicher wieder!

Wir haben gestern einfach super gut dort gegessen! Qualität stimmt zu 100%, der Fisch war perfekt und das Tafelspitz butterweich! Jederzeit gern wieder.

Ich war früher öfter dort, heute nach vielen Jahren wieder das erste Mal, und bin erneut begeistert. Das Wallachfilet mit Marktgemüse, die Forelle auf italienischer Art und vorab ein feines Räucherfischmouse können wir nur empfehlen! Abgesehen von dem fantastischen Essen sind wir vom ausgezeichneten Service mehr als begeistert! Für diese beiden aufmerksamen und durch und durch serviceorientierten jungen Männern möchten wir noch zwei Sterne extra vergeben! Bis hoffentlich bald wieder. 👍👍👍

Wir waren als Familie mit Kinder am Weihnachtsfeiertag hier essen, das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen, für Kinder gibt es auch eine Kinderkarte, das Essen war super lecker, wir empfehlen das Restaurant sehr gerne weiter.

Habe von mehreren Freundinnen von dieser äußerst freundlichen, sehr kompetenten, liebenswürdigen und herzlichen Servicekraft gehört. Alle beschriebenen Eigenschaften haben sich bestätigt. Für mich ist sie ist ein Juwel für dieses Restaurant.

Slightly expensive but good quality fresh fish

We stopped in Bad tolz on the road totally randomly and picked this restaurant that ended to be one of the best restaurants we've ever been to! They have a dedicated river fish breeding in front of the restaurant and they prepare it just perfectly! It's lost in nature near bad tolz, the staff is very nice and everything was perfect.

Sehr gute Bedienung, gut geschult, und kennt sich mit Unverträglichkeiten aus. Für mich gab es alles in Gluten- und laktosefrei. Der einzige minus Punkt ist der Magel Milch- alternativen die ich in einem solch qualitativen Lokal erwartet hätte. Somit trinken wir unseren Kaffee woanders.

Super toller Service und ein Essen ein Gedicht voller Geheimtipp wenn man Fisch mag

Wir waren leider erst am Vorabend der Abreise in unserem Urlaub hier essen und wären sonst mehrfach hier eingekehrt. Das Restaurant überzeugt durch ein stimmiges Ambiente, einen sehr aufmerksamen Service und frisches leckeres Essen - in unserem Fall eine Fischsuppe und 2 mal Forelle in verschiedener Variante sowie natürlich Getränken.

Das Essen war sehr gut, Ambiente super und bei all dem Stress, das Restaurant war fast ausgebucht, war das Personal sehr freundlich.

Wenn ich die Schwanzflosse der Forelle mitessen kann weil sie so lecker und knusprig ist wie der Fisch saftig und wohlschmeckend ist, dann weiß ich ich bin im Fischhimmel angelangt.

Meine Frau und ich gehen schon seit Jahren und zu besonderen Anlässen sehr gern zum Walgerfranz. Rundum ein stilvolles Ambiente mit Spitzenweinen und allerlei unterschiedlichen Speisen auf sehr hohem Niveau. Nicht zu vergessen sind die stets sehr zuvorkommenden Damen und Herren vom Service. Der Walgerfranz ist nur zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war wie immer prima. Alles ist dort sehr gepflegt. Das junge Servicepersonal war spitze.

Da gab es ein naturtrübes Bier welches seinesgleichen noch sucht, eiskalt serviert im steinernen Krug. Dazu als Vorspeis ein Duett von Forelle und Lachs mit grünen Blättchen in Vinaigrette, Rösti, und Chicoree Schiffchen, gefüllt mit Wohlgeschmack. Danach ein Zanderfilet auf Bandnudeln mit Pfifferlingen gekrönt, oder ein krosses, blattrig knusprig gebratenes Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes, oder auch einen Zwiebelrostbraten auf den Punkt gebraten. Und drumherum aßen Gäste wunderbare Forellen oder Saiblinge, und zufriedene Gesichter überall. Wir haben beschlossen, den Forellenhof in nächster Zeit so lange und oft aufzusuchen, bis wir alle diese Köstlichkeiten der Speisekarte einmal durchprobiert haben. Und wir haben noch kein Wörtchen über die zweiseitige (!) Dessertkarte mit den süßen Anforderungen verloren. Das große Restaurant mit attraktivem Biergarten hat außer der hervorragenden Küche ein flinkes, den weiten Raum beherrschendes, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Servicepersonal, welches den Wunsch des Gastes nach einer Stoffserviette sofort erfüllt. Dieser Nachmittag war ein Traum. Danke.

Wir waren im Juli anlässlich des 80. Geburtstags meiner Mutter dort zum Essen. Der Service war hervorragend, die Speisen, Getränke kamen bei allen hervorragend an. Die Location ist klasse! Wir sassen unter einer grossen Linde sehr angenehm auch bei 30 Grad Temperatur.
