This was our first visit to Food Mantra, and we were very satisfied. The food was fantastic and, for us, it's the #1 Indian restaurant in Würzburg and the surrounding area. The staff was friendly, but a bit chaotic, and it felt like there was at least one person too few. The place is lovingly decorated, but the tables are a bit small. We'll definitely be back.

I've been to this fantastic restaurant twice within a week 🥰 I highly recommend it to everyone. No matter what I've eaten there so far, it's always been sooooo delicious. The momos in all their variations are simply my absolute favorite 😍 Yesterday I had them with a gigantic curry with vegetables and soft cheese. It was simply fabulous (as always). The waitresses are super friendly, funny, and you feel at home from the very first minute. If you're lucky, there's even a great live musician playing 😉 So, anyone who enjoys good food and isn't into the "ordinary" restaurants should definitely give it a try 😉 If I had more stars, I would definitely give them to this restaurant. Very tasty food, very nice staff

A very nice place for authentic Nepali and Asian 🥘 cuisine. Their vegetarian as well as chicken momos are my absolute favourites 🙌🏼 and the chutneys are out of the world. They have an amazing service and ambience for a cozy meal with your friends and family. A lil far from the city but that’s what makes it special✨ Do try their aalu rolls! Will for sure go again:)

We were with our young boys here, totally loved the experience and the taste of the food. Food was prepared fresh and warm, portions are good and pricing is decent. There are also some toys for the kids to play. We ate only vegetarian food, namely Puri, Chana, Kauli, lassi and Momos. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

It was simply absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the waitresses were always attentive and courteous. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it.

There's a surprising amount of space inside the restaurant—some in a sort of gazebo/winter garden area, and others in a classic restaurant setting. The service was friendly. The set menus, which include a variety of dishes, are a great way to get acquainted with the different dishes. The food was delicious.

A special place and highly recommended! We've eaten at Food Mantra a few times, and it's been delicious every time! A very good selection of different dishes! The atmosphere in the conservatory is also very nice; on our last visit, there was live music with guitar and vocals! (Photos are from different visits)

The food was rather mediocre. I had salad and chicken momos. The service was good, but they could have asked for drinks more often.

They repeatedly forgot something from our order. The food's flavor deteriorated considerably; it was downright bland and boring. The few pieces of vegetables and six mini paneer cubes don't do justice to the price of the dish. We won't be eating here again 😔 It's a shame you were really good at first, but since the menu was changed and the prices increased, unfortunately, it's not that good anymore.

The food is very good. The service is outstanding. In addition to the good food and friendly service, our waiter explained a bit about Nepalese cuisine and culture to us. Furthermore, even though our voucher was no longer valid, the drinks were still refunded, a very kind gesture from the restaurant. We'd go back anytime!

This place is special. The newly renovated dining room burned down, and everyone had to move to the covered summer terrace. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space, and you can occasionally find live guitar music. The food is particularly delicious.

The food is very good at Food-Mantra in Steinbachtal. The outside seating area is super cozy, covered if necessary and there are blankets on the tables, making it comfortable even in cool temperatures. Sometimes there is live music. I love the momos. The employees are friendly. We will be happy to come back again and again!

The food was, as always, very good. What has changed is the fact that you can now pay for a little extra spice E.g. a small bowl of chili has to pay 2.00 euros. I think it's very weak, especially since the prices have risen a lot.

Just wow! We recently went there spontaneously to test the restaurant, were thrilled and have been there almost weekly since then (even twice this weekend). The food is an absolute delight and very traditional. This differs from the run-of-the-mill food of some others. Prices are absolutely okay too. I would like to give more than 5 stars for the service, we receive such a warm welcome every time, it feels like you're coming over to eat with friends. Unfortunately the location is a bit out of the way, but still an absolute recommendation. The journey is worth it! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Würzburg at the moment.

I love this store. I discovered it by chance and can highly recommend it. Unfortunately the location is not ideal, but it is definitely worth a visit. My tip: order different dishes with your companion and everyone can try each one. So you can enjoy being able to test everything. I was very positively surprised and will definitely come back. 😊

Delicious food, in reasonable portion sizes, at really fair prices. The three of us ordered a few dishes and just shared everything. That wasn't a problem at all. The garlic bread was super tasty, as were the momos and the lamb. Everything was freshly prepared and some of it was kept warm even at the table. The service was always there and very friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quite cozy. The ventilation could be a little better. Reservations were possible in advance and we were able to pay by card.

The restaurant is a bit out of the way in Steinbachtal 64, but the journey is worth it. An overall fantastic meal with fresh produce. The taste is simply on point. A very friendly staff supports the full enjoyment of the meal. A small downer is the noise in the dining room, which is a bit reminiscent of a train station hall. There was no interruption to the meal. Ate again on 2/22/25. Food 🥣 again very good, a bit little. 2 points deducted because we had to wait 2 hours for our food despite ordering a table. This is an absolute no go!

The food was a surprise. It tasted very good, people even asked how spicy they wanted it. The price was right, the service was very friendly. The duck was really crispy, but partly a bit fatty. Would come back at any time.

Compared to other Asian restaurants, you can get really typical Asian or Nepalese dishes here. I can recommend Dal Bhat, which is often served in tea houses in Nepal. The momos were also delicious. Gladly again!

A great place if you want to spend a cozy evening with friends, family or with your child away from the city center near nature and forest🌲. Friendly staff, delicious fresh food, the opportunity to spend time in the open air (the roof of the restaurant, if desired, folds out and in like in cabrio😄👍) and enjoy the weather and the ☀️ . Portions are more than adequate size for the price offered. You won't regret! 🤚🕉️💫

There's nothing to complain about there.

The food is really recommended! We had a starter of breaded vegetables and chicken in chickpea batter and a traditional spicy dip. For main courses we had the traditional dumplings (momos) steamed with sesame dip and traditional dip. Both a dream! The vegetables in the curry were fresh and crunchy and the homemade paneer was world class. The waiters were very friendly! It was a bit loud in the restaurant, but that's not a bad thing unless you are very sensitive to noise.

Lovers of oriental cuisine and vegetarians should definitely visit because the offer is wide and varied. Each dish is served in its own way. The appetizer for two, which included a hot dish with chicken, was exceptionally very tasty.

If you like Indian food, you will also like this restaurant. There were three of us and we enjoyed all the dishes. There is also a very large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The location in the Steinbachtal is very nice and it has been completely renovated and is no longer recognizable compared to the former Steinbachtalbäck...

The starter platter is vegan (I'm a meat eater 😉) to kneel down on! Main course (chicken with vegetables and baked noodles) delicious 😋. There was one disadvantage - unfortunately there was no room in my stomach for dessert 😉🤣. The waitresses are super friendly 👍. We were here for the first time, but definitely not the last. Absolute recommendation! 🤩

Beautiful, beautiful place! The food has always been fantastic, the team is friendly and accommodating (especially with questions about allergens and other intolerances), the location is beautiful and quiet. We always like to sit in the winter garden and enjoy the view of the greenery. In terms of price-performance, the family-run restaurant is a lot ahead of many restaurants in Würzburg. Don't let the connection put you off. The Food Mantra is also very easy to reach by public transport (tram and then bus). We prefer a bike trip and enjoy finding proper parking spaces. I always enjoy coming here ♥️

Delicious food served with false facts We went to Food Mantra for the first time today because of the good reviews and the cuisine, which is not often found. When we ordered, we said that at least one of the two orders must not contain coriander, as that is an absolute no-go. We were also assured that the main course we ordered was definitely without coriander. The starter (chicken and vegetables in chickpea batter) with a sweet chili sauce was very tasty and made us look forward to the main courses. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed here. The dish, which upon request was supposed to be without coriander, was inedible for at least some of us; unfortunately it seemed as if coriander was the main ingredient here (also or precisely because this ingredient tastes so pungent, especially if you don't like it). After we swapped the food with each other it was better, but unfortunately the second dish also contained a lot of coriander, which is why it was over after a few bites. Unfortunately, anyone who doesn't like coriander knows exactly when a meal contains it. Surely some of you know this feeling🤢 After we had mentioned this, we were told that - although it was denied when we first asked when ordering - it did contain coriander or at least parts of it, although no fresh product was used. Of course that was doubly annoying for us! As an alternative we ordered the naan bread with cheese which was delicious. Unfortunately, the two of us were charged the price for all three dishes... At least we would have liked an apology, certainly a small compensation or a discount for one of the main courses, at least the cheaper naan bread, would have been appropriate! Conclusion: In addition to the delicious food (if you like coriander), false facts are probably also served. Therefore, instead of 5, unfortunately only 2 stars. A pity …

Best authentic Nepali-Tibetan foods and atmosphere.

Idyllically located in the Steinbachtal, the Nepalese restaurant offers a diverse menu. The mixed starter plate is recommended. We can also only recommend the curry dishes. Warning: very corriander-heavy. The restaurant is obviously no longer an insider tip; it is strongly advisable to reserve in advance. The price-performance ratio is completely fine. The service staff is very friendly and quick. We're going there again!

I ate there twice within a week... I only found out about this restaurant from friends less than 14 days ago and I'm thrilled! So far I've only eaten two types of "momos" (steamed and fried dumplings with delicious fillings and very good dips), but I'll dig through the menu this summer. Very nice, open and uncomplicated hosts and servive employees. I also took a look at the interior - LOVELY! In the future I will often avoid the hustle and bustle up at the "Höfe" and, after a hike over the Annaschlucht, Frankenwarte and the Käppele, I will go straight back down and eat Nepalese food in peace...

Today we enjoyed an excellent lunch at Food Mantra - in the middle of the beautiful Steinbachtal, protected under a fully shaded pergola. The culinary delight began with Lassi Mango and Cocos (yoghurt drink). We were particularly impressed with the choyela (fried chicken with coriander) from the starter platter and the yellow lentil curry afterwards was also excellent! The Tibetan momos were lovingly prepared by hand and were a work of art in terms of appearance and taste. Everyone was happy with their food, the seasoning was piquantly delicious. Vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters will get their money's worth here. Since it is prepared by hand, perhaps also allergy sufferers. We were treated very kindly by everyone and our dog was even offered water and treats. Really very nice and familiar. We would love to come back!

Ideally located for a lunch break on the nearby hiking routes. Ate chicken choyela for the first time - incredibly tasty! You have to try it! Plus the best garlic bread! And a really nice and attentive operating family.

Nepali food can mean so much and here at Food Mantra we experienced the best of it along with Tibetan influences. The family and team that run it are very friendly and helpful. Feelt as if we stepped into a mini nepal, from the food smells to ambiance. The restaurant is amazing, with a large outdoor sitting area and a modern inside section, carefully decorated to not be the tacky overdecorated nepali restaurants we often see. A new standard for Nepali restaurants and only positive! Had Momos (dumplings) 🥟🥟🥟🥟🥟 which were among the best ive ever had (and dumplings my favorite dish). The dipping sauces enhance the experience alot, while the moms themselves were not to thick or thin and just the right amount of filling without too much spices, just the way it should be. Tried some of other items too but was in a positive food coma so forgot to take pictures! The dry fried lamb was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 the lentil (dal) and Thali set took us to Nirvana and back! Well done team and without a doubt one of the best nepali food experiences in the world!
