FOOD MANTRA Nepali-Tibetan Cuisine Restaurant in Würzburg

Wir waren mit 6 Personen bei Food Mantra essen und sind allesamt begeistert worden. Von den Getränken bis hin zu den Nachspeisen findet man eine weitreichende Auswahl an authentischen Speisen der nepalesischen/tibetischen Küche. Wir bestellten zum einen Mango Lassi, was meiner Meinung nach mit abstand der Beste war, den man im Raum Würzburg trinken kann. Zur Vorspeise bestellten wir Pani Puri sowie zweier Art Momos (Hänchen und Vegetarisch), welche beide unfassbar lecker waren. Als Hauptspeise bestellten wir verschiedene Curry's sowie das Dhal Bhat mit Hänchen. Das Dhal Bhat war eine Zusammenstellung von zweierlei Curry's, einem Salat, Papadam und einem Dessert. Für 23,50€ einen absolut gerechtfertigte Portion und der Geschmack des Essens phänomenal. Alles in allem liegt Food Mantra mit den Preisen eher im mittleren bis oberen Preissegment, überzeugt jedoch mit seinen hochwertigen Speisen und vielfältigen Aromen.

Wir hatten Dal Bhat Tarkari, Gemüse-Momos und Gemüse-Chow-Mein. Alles war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Wenn ihr Lust auf Nudeln mit authentisch nepalesischem Touch habt, seid ihr hier genau richtig. 😊

Wir gehen immer sehr gerne hier essen! Der Inhaber ist aufmerksam und das ganze Team ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Ungezwungen erlebt man da immer einen schönen Abend. Vielen lieben Dank

Seit vielen Jahren gehe ich regelmäßig ins Foodmantra und bin jedes Mal begeistert. Der Service ist immer freundlich und herzlich, die Qualität der Speisen ist hervorragend und konstant auf sehr hohem Niveau. Besonders das traditionelle nepalesisch-tibetische Essen ist unglaublich lecker, frisch und gesund. Ich war hier schon mit vielen Freunden und komme immer wieder gerne zurück. Für mich ist das Foodmantra mittlerweile mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant in Würzburg – eine klare Empfehlung!

Es gibt super viele geniale vegane Gerichte bei Food Mantra und es schmeckt alles super lecker 😋 Der Service ist auch sehr gut und zuvorkommend, wir freuen uns wenn wir wieder da sind :)

Super Service Mega authentisches Essen, kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Hervorragende Speisen , wenn man die tibetische/nepalesische Küche probieren möchte !

Das Essen war köstlich; ihr Lalmohan war eines der besten Desserts dieser Art, die ich je gegessen habe.

Gestern Abend bestellt, heute leider Lebensmittelvergiftung. Kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen.

Authentisches und leckeres nepalesisches Essen. Das vegetarische Thali und das Kukura-Curry (Hühnercurry) waren köstlich, dazu die fantastischen vegetarischen Momos.

Das Essen war reichlich und sättigend, aber geschmacklos; es war weder besonders lecker noch herausragend. Der Service war im Allgemeinen in Ordnung. Als wir jedoch die Rechnung verlangten, dauerte es sehr lange – wir mussten daran erinnern.

Recht teuer für die Portionsgrößen und geschmacklich leider nicht überzeugend.

Ich war jetzt schon öfters dort, sehr herzlich und köstliches Essen. Im jeden Fall nach einer Empfehlung fragen, war immer spitze.

Lieblingsrestaurant in Würzburg!! Wir holen sehr oft dort ab, gehen aber auch gerne im Lokal essen😋 Unser Go To Tipp: Nr.46 mit süßem Reis.. ;) Für alle die das Lokal nicht kennen: es ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! 🫶

Heute Abend habe ich ein Menü bestellt mit linsencurry, Hähnchencurry, Gemüsecurry, Basmatireis,papadam mit Dip und Honig Bällchen mit Honig und Getränk Mangoingwer Eistee hausgemacht und die Atmosphäre sehr gut und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und nett und hilfsbereit und das passt und wie im Urlaub in nepalesischen Atmosphäre und kann es jeder Person empfehlen!💪😃😊😘😋

Sehr leckeres Essen. Man sieht und schmeckt, dass die Gerichte frisch zubereitet sind. Sehr freundliches Personal. Zu bemängeln sind die etwas zu kleinen Tische. Da die Speisen äußerst dekorativ nicht direkt auf dem Speiseteller serviert werden, ist für die Anzahl des Geschirrs zu wenig Platz. Ansonsten kann ich das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Das mit Abstand beste Restaurant in Würzburg. Ich habe bisher noch nie so gut gegessen. Wir waren jetzt schon viele Male da und es schmeckt jedes mal fantastisch! Wer das nicht zumindest mal ausprobiert, verpasst wirklich was.

Ich liebe diesen Laden. Das Ambiente ist zwar nicht schick und im Winter wirklich gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber es war jedes Mal ein Musiker da, der wirklich schöne, ruhige Interpretationen moderner Titel mit der Akustik-Gitarre gespielt hat. Das hat mir wirklich gut gefallen. Vom Essen ganz zu schweigen … wirklich, wirklich lecker und viel zu große Portionen. Man kann gar nicht so viel ausprobieren, weil der Bauch einfach nicht groß genug ist. Wer diese Küche mag, wird hier auf jeden Fall auf seine Kosten kommen.

Sehr zu empfehlen, war ein schöner Abend mit gutem Essen. Vor allem die Momos 😉

Das Essen war wirklich super lecker! Hatte ein Gericht mit verschiedenen Currys, Brot, Dip, Salat und einem Nachtischbällchen. Auch der Tee war richtig gut 👍🏼 Die Toiletten waren sauber und der Sitzbereich drinnen in Ordnung. Gemütlich wars nicht unbedingt, da die Tische sehr eng stehen und nah bei der Tür, dadurch wars teilweise etwas frisch. Die Deko ist aber passend und authentisch. Draußen sind wohl im Sommer deutlich mehr Sitzplätze vorhanden auf einer Art Terrasse. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Ambiente ist jetzt nicht wirklich einladend aber das Essen und der Service machen alles wieder weg! Sehr gutes Essen.

Choyela ist mein neues Lieblingsessen, aber auch das Linsencurry, Mango-Lassi und Naan sind wirklich super lecker. Einfach nur empfehlenswert. Wer Koriander mag, empfehle ich das Choyela mal zu probieren!!

I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised. The restaurant delivers exactly what many promise but few truly deliver: outstanding food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere free of unnecessary frills. The dishes are expertly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and free of any unnecessary gimmicks. You can immediately tell that quality and fresh ingredients are paramount here. The service is attentive, quick, and unobtrusive. Special requests were handled without hesitation – just as it should be. The prices are also absolutely fair for what you get. In short: I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Absolutely delicious!!

A family owned, boutique, nice restaurant. The food is delicious, and it is served with plenty of rice, which you can ask more. The wine was good also, and the amount was really enough. In short, you can not leave this restaurant still hungry and thirsty; what is nice, it stilll stays in the budget! I highly recommend this place..

I love coming here! Whether with family or friends, every visit to this restaurant is a pleasure. It's secluded and peaceful. You don't have to spend ages looking for a parking spot, and you can enjoy a wonderful walk in the woods before or after your meal. The culinary offerings and selection leave nothing to be desired for those who enjoy richly spiced cuisine. There are also plenty of options for vegetarians. The service is friendly and attentive.

The food was nice. Service only okay. We were seated in the corner of the hall and the heating was switched off after some time, when we were alone in the hall.

I went there again and discovered once again how wonderful it is to eat and be there. Great service, and the food not only has flavor but also life 💚💙💖 Plus, you can combine eating out with a great walk. And why not take a walk up the Anna Gorge as a digestive aid 😀!

This was our first visit to Food Mantra, and we were very satisfied. The food was fantastic and, for us, it's the #1 Indian restaurant in Würzburg and the surrounding area. The staff was friendly, but a bit chaotic, and it felt like there was at least one person too few. The place is lovingly decorated, but the tables are a bit small. We'll definitely be back.

I've been to this fantastic restaurant twice within a week 🥰 I highly recommend it to everyone. No matter what I've eaten there so far, it's always been sooooo delicious. The momos in all their variations are simply my absolute favorite 😍 Yesterday I had them with a gigantic curry with vegetables and soft cheese. It was simply fabulous (as always). The waitresses are super friendly, funny, and you feel at home from the very first minute. If you're lucky, there's even a great live musician playing 😉 So, anyone who enjoys good food and isn't into the "ordinary" restaurants should definitely give it a try 😉 If I had more stars, I would definitely give them to this restaurant. Very tasty food, very nice staff

A very nice place for authentic Nepali and Asian 🥘 cuisine. Their vegetarian as well as chicken momos are my absolute favourites 🙌🏼 and the chutneys are out of the world. They have an amazing service and ambience for a cozy meal with your friends and family. A lil far from the city but that’s what makes it special✨ Do try their aalu rolls! Will for sure go again:)

It was simply absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the waitresses were always attentive and courteous. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it.

We were with our young boys here, totally loved the experience and the taste of the food. Food was prepared fresh and warm, portions are good and pricing is decent. There are also some toys for the kids to play. We ate only vegetarian food, namely Puri, Chana, Kauli, lassi and Momos. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

There's a surprising amount of space inside the restaurant—some in a sort of gazebo/winter garden area, and others in a classic restaurant setting. The service was friendly. The set menus, which include a variety of dishes, are a great way to get acquainted with the different dishes. The food was delicious.

A special place and highly recommended! We've eaten at Food Mantra a few times, and it's been delicious every time! A very good selection of different dishes! The atmosphere in the conservatory is also very nice; on our last visit, there was live music with guitar and vocals! (Photos are from different visits)

The food was rather mediocre. I had salad and chicken momos. The service was good, but they could have asked for drinks more often.

They repeatedly forgot something from our order. The food's flavor deteriorated considerably; it was downright bland and boring. The few pieces of vegetables and six mini paneer cubes don't do justice to the price of the dish. We won't be eating here again 😔 It's a shame you were really good at first, but since the menu was changed and the prices increased, unfortunately, it's not that good anymore.

The food is very good. The service is outstanding. In addition to the good food and friendly service, our waiter explained a bit about Nepalese cuisine and culture to us. Furthermore, even though our voucher was no longer valid, the drinks were still refunded, a very kind gesture from the restaurant. We'd go back anytime!

This place is special. The newly renovated dining room burned down, and everyone had to move to the covered summer terrace. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space, and you can occasionally find live guitar music. The food is particularly delicious.

The food is very good at Food-Mantra in Steinbachtal. The outside seating area is super cozy, covered if necessary and there are blankets on the tables, making it comfortable even in cool temperatures. Sometimes there is live music. I love the momos. The employees are friendly. We will be happy to come back again and again!

The food was, as always, very good. What has changed is the fact that you can now pay for a little extra spice E.g. a small bowl of chili has to pay 2.00 euros. I think it's very weak, especially since the prices have risen a lot.

Just wow! We recently went there spontaneously to test the restaurant, were thrilled and have been there almost weekly since then (even twice this weekend). The food is an absolute delight and very traditional. This differs from the run-of-the-mill food of some others. Prices are absolutely okay too. I would like to give more than 5 stars for the service, we receive such a warm welcome every time, it feels like you're coming over to eat with friends. Unfortunately the location is a bit out of the way, but still an absolute recommendation. The journey is worth it! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Würzburg at the moment.

I love this store. I discovered it by chance and can highly recommend it. Unfortunately the location is not ideal, but it is definitely worth a visit. My tip: order different dishes with your companion and everyone can try each one. So you can enjoy being able to test everything. I was very positively surprised and will definitely come back. 😊

Delicious food, in reasonable portion sizes, at really fair prices. The three of us ordered a few dishes and just shared everything. That wasn't a problem at all. The garlic bread was super tasty, as were the momos and the lamb. Everything was freshly prepared and some of it was kept warm even at the table. The service was always there and very friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quite cozy. The ventilation could be a little better. Reservations were possible in advance and we were able to pay by card.

The restaurant is a bit out of the way in Steinbachtal 64, but the journey is worth it. An overall fantastic meal with fresh produce. The taste is simply on point. A very friendly staff supports the full enjoyment of the meal. A small downer is the noise in the dining room, which is a bit reminiscent of a train station hall. There was no interruption to the meal. Ate again on 2/22/25. Food 🥣 again very good, a bit little. 2 points deducted because we had to wait 2 hours for our food despite ordering a table. This is an absolute no go!

The food was a surprise. It tasted very good, people even asked how spicy they wanted it. The price was right, the service was very friendly. The duck was really crispy, but partly a bit fatty. Would come back at any time.
