Delicious bacon cheeseburger and fries

We have now been to a few Five Guys restaurants. The best so far is the one at the Westfield Center Oberhausen. Here in Dortmund the burger, fries and shakes are absolutely good. Only the cleanliness of the tables really leaves something to be desired. The toilets are okay, but nothing more. The front door has been squeaking for over a year in a way that gives you goosebumps. Otherwise everything is okay (typical in the center of Dortmund).

Great burger. Definitely should try the bacon cheese burger.

Very relaxed shop, food was very good, plenty of fries in the bag as you would expect from Five Guys. Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to understand the operation, but otherwise it's still great!

Burgers are ok, fries too. But the meaning of “fast food” loses its meaning when you have to wait almost 15 minutes for your burger in an empty shop at lunchtime with 3 employees.

It is close to my house, it is always convenient for my wheelchair, but I understand that the water is expensive, they do not bring the water I want, even though I told their chef, I feel very sorry for him.

Unfortunately, the bun and toppings were completely cold when the hot hamburger was ready. I know the chain from the USA, but they serve hot (including the bun), very hot! Here in Germany, people probably don't understand that everything is put together at the same time and I have to prepare the roll 5 minutes beforehand

Super expensive and super small portion. She simply threw the fries in her bag on top of the burgers without packaging. I will never order anything again.

The food was good and came relatively quickly, but there was a mess in our order and we had to pay for fries, even though we had clearly said no thanks to fries. The toilets were clean and neat. There weren't many guests, so it was easy to find a table.

The food was very tasty and the shop made a good impression, but because there was an open kitchen it was very loud in the restaurant. At the beginning the cashier was completely overwhelmed with our normal order but after the manager came to us it went pretty quickly.

The burger would be good if the bun wasn't so sweaty; This comes from the unnecessary aluminum foil packaging. No idea what the packaging is for if you didn't order takeaway. The fries are also soggy and almost inedible. I can't remember ever being served such bad fries anywhere. Most of them were just thrown into the paper bag. There was no mayo with it - it was empty. There were no ice cubes or drinks with sugar at the drinks machine. There were only “Zero” products left and they were not refrigerated. The whole store is full of rubbish and I don't understand why they store potato sacks in the entrance area. It's also dripping from the ventilation system - delicious... Suddenly there were no staff left in the store?! You pay a very exorbitant price for this experience. I'm not coming back. Update after the owner's reaction: I didn't complain about the quality of the ingredients - it's just a shame how they are prepared. Temperature isn't everything. The burger can travel the 10 meters to the table even without aluminum foil. It would be important that the bun doesn't get soggy. The topic of waste avoidance doesn't seem to have caught on here yet... The problem with the unrefrigerated drinks and the cleanliness in the store is not new, according to other reviews. Maybe you shouldn't just respond with standard answers, but actually do something. And there would be no response at all to the ventilation system dripping into the food.

I tend to eat at Five Guys once a trip - I don’t have to think. I order the usual and I know what to expect. This trip was no different - the cheese burger was good and the cajun fries were well spiced. Great location. The layout is a bit weird (long and narrow) and the outside seating area was a bit disorganized. Friendly staff. Mostly clean, but I think the bathrooms were closed.

Food was ok, but alongside dirty tables and toilets it was an absolute disaster. Never again!

Out of five identical (!) dishes ordered, only four were delivered, and when you complain you are greeted with a very rude response and tell you that you should clarify this with Lieferando. €14 for a sweaty burger wrapped in aluminum foil is the crowning glory of this disaster. Not recommendable.

The burger and fries were delicious, the service was fast and good, the restaurant was dirty and homeless people came in to ask for money (not food)

It's similar to a McDonald's restaurant. You can place your order at the computer terminal in the store or at the cash register. You have to go to the cash register anyway, so there would be an order full of either take-away food or eating on site, both possible. Prices, well that's how it works!!!

Just spent ages on Uber eats ordering this stupid food, and right at the end of the order it tells me restaurant is unavailable!

I was in Dortmund for work and wanted to eat something quick before going to bed after a 6 hour drive. When I was walking through the pedestrian zone, I noticed Five Guys - very noticeable from the outside due to the red/white color scheme. So go in and order a burger with fries and a drink - price is a whopping 24 euros - you can expect a great burger that you will remember for weeks later... that's what I'll do! ...but not because of the burger... What can I say... when you pick it up you get your order pressed into your hand in a loving paper bag... even though I wanted to eat in the store, my food came in a paper bag as if they wanted to get rid of me straight away... Contents of the Bag: the burger carelessly pressed in a kind of aluminum foil, the fries dumped out, distributed loosely in the paper bag.... I'm still wondering how you manage to do that on the short route.... The drink was available for self-drinking from the syrup dispenser, next to it Dips.... Unfortunately I couldn't find any napkins, but the Zewa roll at the syrup machine did the trick... better than nothing! When choosing seating in the restaurant, I had to do some searching... not because there weren't enough free tables or seating options, but I was looking for a clean table where I didn't have to clear away the previous person's trash... When I visited, 3 (!) tables were occupied, unfortunately the remaining tables hadn't seen a cleaning cloth yet.... Well, maybe there was a rush shortly before my visit - I don't know. In general, the shop is very loud... the few guests who were there when I visited (weekdays, 8 p.m.) weren't exactly quiet. The toilets are secured with a combination lock - very hospitable... In addition, the colleague from the Warren edition comes across the store and blares the order numbers in German and English even though people are standing 2 meters in front of him waiting to be picked up.... Everyone should hear it, ideally the pedestrian zone in front of it Door. When I finally found a reasonably clean table, I wasn't impressed by the food. For the price I would have expected a lot more than that.... Fries from the paper bag were endlessly greasy, the burger was there, but there was room for improvement in terms of taste, the cola came from the syrup dispenser as a flat dish. Rarely experienced something like that. We wanted to eat in the restaurant (May 29th around 12 p.m.), but urgently had to go to the toilet. When we asked to open the door, a tip jar was held in front of our faces where we were supposed to put money in in return. When we were told that we were about to eat here and just had to go to the toilet first, we were told that we had to order first. Otherwise, using the toilet costs money. That's called service! Never again!

Tasty, well-built burger with fresh ingredients and lots of meat. The numerous ad-ons are a great thing. The fries are a matter of taste but undoubtedly well made. Free refill and plenty of mayo/ketchup mitigate the price shock somewhat. Because the price/performance ratio doesn't suit me. The quality and size are much better than Mäkes or the king of burgers, so the price can be higher. But if I have to pay restaurant prices in a system restaurant, then I would also like to have the variety of restaurants. Therefore a very good 3***.

Burgers really good. Fries were ok too. Overall, a higher price compared to the gold M or B.K. justified. Whether a portion of fries is worth between €5 and €7 (small or medium portion), depending on the size, may be an open question. I paid around 50 euros for a bacon cheeseburger and three small fries + three drinks. Conclusion: Yes, it is better quality than Mc's or B.K. but still a bit too expensive for my taste. The 700,000 options for topping my burger don't help me either.

Five Guys is brilliantly set up and the fries are great. I can only recommend hamburgers, we come there especially from the Sauerland to eat.

Very overrated in my opinion. But just my opinion. The burgers weren't bad but there are much better burgers out there. Personally, I was disappointed with the fries. I was hoping for more in terms of taste. I thought the peanut oil would give them a little flavor. But it wasn't so bad that you couldn't eat it. Well, when we were there, the drinks machine was broken. Hand warm and non-carbonated. Well, it can happen. But it doesn't have to 🤣✌️

Great food and staff are amazing

My five-year-old son was denied use of the toilet. This wouldn't be possible without money. On the topic “Children are our future”: totally wrong. P.S.: On the counter there was a black money box without a lid.

The burger was great again! It couldn't be better. Milkshake was good with some room for improvement. Prices are high, but at least reasonable for the burger. Unfortunately, I was almost alone in the store. Only one employee did everything... cash register, cook, service. It's no surprise that the tables weren't completely clean... Still happy again.

Tried out the 5 Guys in Dortmund for the first time today. The ambience was nice, clean and reminiscent of the American dinners of the last century. The staff were nice, helpful and accommodating. I admit I gulped a bit when I was told the price of €24.40 when I placed my order for a bacon chess burger, medium fries and soft drink, but that was put into perspective pretty quickly. - I could choose which ingredients (up to 15!) I wanted on my burger - I was able to see directly during preparation (no screens) - The minced meat used was fresh and formed by hand, nothing frozen and pre-pressed! - The fries looked like they had just been carved out of the potatoes this morning. (Fresh and with peel.) - You can pour your own drinks from a vending machine. (The selection was the largest I have ever experienced at such a machine. There is something for every taste.) - The taste of the burger, which consisted of two patties, was excellent and juicy. - The size of my "medium" fries would easily have been two large portions at any other fast food chain. All in all, I have to say, even though they aren't the cheapest fast food chain around, they are definitely worth every penny I spent.

No tray, no fork for fries, and poured the fries into the bag, serve yourself, and too expensive for these services.

The concept with freely selectable toppings is cool, but almost ten euros for the cheapest burger is still excessive. The quality is okay, but nothing special. Even the popular fast food providers can sometimes offer more. What's particularly annoying is the wasteful use of aluminum foil, regardless of whether you're taking out or eating in. What's that supposed to mean? This contradicts pretty much all current awareness that such completely unnecessary garbage can and should be avoided!

Poured two burgers with fries into the bag and two cokes for 42 euros, really ridiculous, never again

Loud and dirty and it's getting dirtier! The staff was confused and chaotic, especially when ordering online. Recommendation, yes, definitely go somewhere else!

The food was delicious, but the fries were really small and more like the size of 5ct pieces, and many drinks were not available in the vending machine, the tables were sticky and not cleared (even though the restaurant was almost empty on Thursday, March 14th, 7:30 p.m.), the toilets were the most disgusting thing I have ever seen saw and beggars who constantly come in and beg... Sorry, the hype about Five Guys is definitely over.

The burgers are delicious like in other Five Guys stores. The atmosphere is rather sterile and uncomfortable. Unfortunately the cola at the refill machine was empty. And the employees at the counter had their hands full with the orders. The music was relatively loud. There are children's high chairs

Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype at all. Absolutely overpriced (35€ for two burgers + two drinks), the burgers were pretty soggy and absolutely not worth the price. It's a shame, I was hoping for more.

I can't understand the hype at all, I've never paid €22 for a coke, burger and fries (even at a real burger joint I get €5 less for at least €5 despite 19% VAT) and got such a snot, citizen can see above Bun looked like they were squeezing it, and the meat from the pattie was still pink, fries were okay, but the presentation in the bag was just careless, a complete mess, you literally had to queue for coke. Conclusion once and never again, I had to eat at a dirty table where there was another bag with the previous person's uneaten food, I understand the previous person why. It was also loud and narrow. The employee at the checkout was reserved but friendly, I felt like she was confused that I had never eaten there before. And the store can't do anything about that but I was asked if I would buy a burger and coke for someone because they were hungry...

After only walking past Five Guys for years, I decided to give the store a try today. I already knew from the warnings from friends and colleagues that it would be expensive, but I didn't realize that I would have to pay SO much for such poor performance! First of all, the order: There was an employee at the checkout who couldn't even speak German properly. She has taken refuge in English several times. Not a problem for me as a young customer, but certainly not acceptable for some older customers. Why do you hire employees who don't even speak the local language for direct customer contact? I ordered a cheeseburger, a bacon corn dog and a large fry to go. Without any drink I paid €29.70!! For that price I could have gone to a really good restaurant! Approximately 4-5 minutes later, when I arrived at the office, I unpacked the burgers that were wrapped in aluminum foil or the fries that were dumped in a paper cup (how careless) and discovered that everything was completely squished - due to the way they were packed. The burger was quite good, the fries were dry but okay. The corn dog was absolutely subpar, just a bockwurst with the cheapest bun, I would have managed it better with a microwave and ingredients from Aldi. The sizes were a disgrace, especially for the price. The burger was a small burger. You have to spend a fortune to fill yourself up and then it doesn't even taste right. I booked the money spent as learning money and will absolutely avoid the store in the future! I can only recommend everyone to save the money due to my experiences and do the same as I did - stay away.

Very, very noisy in the store, at least for me, order came within 5-6 minutes. I ordered a cheeseburger and wasn't impressed. It was hot and juicy, but somehow didn't have much flavor, maybe I didn't order enough sauces. Fries were crispy but very salty.

Overpriced burgers with no kick.

The burger was ok, I found the fries very overpriced when you consider that the cup felt like it was 0.3 full and there were a few fries in the bag for a price of 6.75 euros. The service was super nice and you got your food quickly.

I found the atmosphere terrible. It was dirty and loud. When ordering, you could hardly understand the employee and had to repeat everything several times. The food was delicious. I think it's a shame that there were no menus. Overall, I thought the prices were very excessive for what was offered. Furthermore, all the drinks at the machine were not chilled.

The shakes are good. Expensive but good. I think that almost 18 euros for a burger and a small fries is cheeky. Very cheeky. If you pay this price it's your own fault, but you should be able to expect something in return. For that price, the burger I got wasn't good. Mushy and nothing special in terms of taste. My burger was missing the bacon that I paid for and had mushrooms on it that I didn't order. Price-performance = underground Clearly nothing will ever be ordered there again.

Die Burger und Pommes waren lecker (evtl. für andere Besucher zu viel Salz auf den Pommes). Das war es aber auch schon. Der erste Eindruck ist recht steril und nicht einladend, die Musik ist viel zu laut und die Sitzplätze ungemütlich. Die Preise fand ich recht hoch. Die erste Ladung Getränke war warm (Eistee) und geschmacklich schmeckte es irgendwie falsch gemischt (Fanta), die zweite Ladung war allerdings besser.

Typisch amerikanische Burgerkette. Leider finde ich es etwas teuer. Für das Geld esse ich lieber einen Burger in einem schicken Restaurant, in dem man nicht auf harten Holzbänken sitzt. Die Leute sind nett, die Burger sind auch lecker, trotzdem brauche ich das kein 2. Mal.

Wenn sie etwas Pommes zum Salz haben möchten ist Five Guys der richtige Ort. Kombiniert mit viel zu lauter Musik können sie einen mittelmäßigen Bruder zu einem verbrecherischen Preis genießen. Um das Salz von den Pommes zu kompensieren muss man 5 mal seine Gestreckte Cola auffüllen gehen.

This is very much not the Five Guys quality you’d expect if you’ve tried it in America. The food is nothing to write home about - but the service is horrible. In the USA you may snack on peanuts but here they were nowhere to be found. The burger we received was badly assembled and dull.

War zum ersten Mal bei Five Guys und hatte mehr erwartet. Die Pommes waren ok (auch wenn ich nicht verstehe warum man sie einfach so in die Tüte gekippt hat).. das Hot Dog ein furchtbares Gematsche .. kaum zu essen gewesen. Es war nichts los im Laden und dann wurde bei meiner 2 Teile Bestellung noch ein Teil vergessen und ich musste nach einer Diskussion ob ich es überhaupt bestellt habe nochmal warten.

Ich war nur ein Mal da, ich kenne noch zu wenig. Bin meistens gegenüber bei MALZERS Bäckerei und dort besser bekannt, meistens Frühstück.

Burger war super gut. Verschieden viele gratis Toppings, die deinen Burger in die Höhe wachsen lassen. Obergeil. Pommes, naja. Computer steuert die Garzeit in der Fritteuse. Dementsprechend schmecken sie auch. Wabbelig, kaum kross. Zudem eine unbestimmte Menge Salz. Man könnte sich einen Salzstein mitnehmen und zum Burger am Salzstein lecken. So erspart man sich das wabbelige Erlebnis. 😂 Ketchup und Mayonnaise gibt's gratis und kann man sich dann in so kleine Pappbecher rein spritzen. Ich sage für mein Geschmack, grenzwertig. Mayonnaise ganz ok, Ketchup ist auch irgendwie total versalzen. Aber vilt ist man das heutzutage so. Zum Burger essen ist der Laden ganz ok, alles andere 🙄 Gönnt euch und macht euer eigenes Erlebnis 😉

Die Bürger sind wirklich Sehr sehr lecker kann ich jedem empfehlen köstlich einfach 😋 preis Leistung Verhältnisse ist das auch echt super 👍🏽 beim Service naja großartigen Service gibt es in der Hinsicht nicht nur an der Kasse hat man Kontakt und meistens sind die aufgrund den Stress etwas genervt. All you can drink auch ne schöne Sache 👍🏽

Ich mag es dort einfach. Natürlich ist es im Vergleich zu anderen Burger Läden recht hochpreisig, aber ich finde es schlichtweg lecker dort. Bisher nur freundliches Personal gehabt und Coca-Cola Freestyle ist auch super. Aufgrund der hohen Individualität, kann sich jeder ein Menü zusammenstellen, welches er mag.

Super Laden kann mann bestimmt gut essen bin da wegen meinen job bei lieferando als Fahrer da gewesen.

Bin von 5Guys deutlich besseres gewohnt Pommes waren nicht knusprig Burger war kalt, Geschmacklich aber gut, Zutaten waren frisch und in Ordnung Getränke waren am Cola Automaten waren so gut wie alle ausverkauft Nur noch Wasser, Cola und Cola Zero Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, es sah aus, als wäre eine Bombe eingeschlagen, überall auf den Tischen standen zurückgelassene Tüten, Pommes und Sossenreste lagen auf den Tischen Der Boden war klebrig und es lagen auch dort überall Reste Leider diesmal keine Empfehlenswerte Erfahrung gemacht Es besteht deutlich Luft nach oben

Heute mit 3 Personen dort gewesen. Angefangen mit der Bedienung an der Kasse.. Diese hat ein Gesicht bis zum Boden gezogen, und war mehr als unfreundlich! Die Sauberkeit und Hygiene war heute auch wirklich unter aller Kanone dort. Tische voll mit halb aufgegessenem Essen, Müll und Essensreste auf dem Boden. Die Mülleimer völlig am überquellen. Da ist man aus anderen Fiveguys Filialen mehr gewohnt! Da ist selbst die Filiale Hamburg Reeperbahn deutlich sauberer ! Und dort ist ein ganz anderes Klientel Gast.. Das Essen war leider kalt, aber die Toppings und das Fleisch frisch und Geschmacklich wirklich okay! Die Pommes allerdings ungenießbar.. Zeit bis zur Fertigstellung des Essens auch völlig im Rahmen. Die Dame an der Ausgabe war sehr freundlich. Allerdings waren die Getränkeautomaten sehr dreckig, und es gab nur einzelne Getränke wie Wasser und 2 Zero Produkte. Heute leider absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Wir werden zukünftig einen großen Bogen um diese Filiale machen. Schade um das Geld..

Immer leckere frische Burger und Pommes! Wir essen gerne in Dortmund, da die anderen Städte dagegen schlecht abschneiden. Die Angestellten waren auch immer freundlich. Die Tische könnten allerdings etwas öfter gewischt werden - wobei das irgendwie typisch für five guys ist.

Haben eine kleine pommes gegessen und das war so viel! Burger haben wir deshalb nicht geschafft. Essen wir später. Generell schön da eigentlich. Aber die frau die uns bei der Bestellung geholfen hat war schöner

Top amerikanisches Essen! Gute Burger, gute Milchshakes, gute Pommes. Etwas teurer aber allemal besser als BK oder McD.

Von allen Burgerketten die beste. Super Burger, gutes Konzept was die Zusammenstellung angeht und tolle Fleischqualität. Die Pommes schlagen alles, was es im Fastfood Sektor gibt. Ambiente ist etwas straight, aber funktional.

Wir haben gestern im Restaurant zwei BLT Sandwiches mit Käse bestellt. Die Wartezeit war recht lang, die Mitarbeiter, die die „Sandwiches“ zubereiteten, sprachen kaum Deutsch und verstanden uns nicht. Als wir die Bestellung endlich in Empfang nehmen konnten, wunderten wir uns zuerst darüber, dass die „Sandwiches“ eigentlich nur Hamburger Brötchen waren. Außerdem fehlte der Käse. Trotzdem aßen wir die Sandwiches auf und sie schmeckten auch ganz gut. Als wir allerdings der Service-Mitarbeiterin nach dem Essen den Bestellzettel und den Kassenbon zeigten, auf dem man sehen konnte, dass der Käse fehlte, war weder sie noch ihr Schichtleiter bereit, uns den Differenzbetrag von € 1 pro Sandwich zu erstatten. Stattdessen wurde uns gesagt, dass wir die Sandwiches nicht hätten essen und sofort reklamieren hätten müssen. Daher fällt meine Bewertung für diesen Laden leider negativ aus.
