Fishbar in Hamburg

We were standing in front of the shop with around 20 people when the saleswoman suddenly closed.

Very tasty fish and surprisingly good potato and cucumber salad! Great value for money, eaten enough with a drink for €10.

Fried fish with potato salad or fries to fill you up and also tasty and with a good price/performance ratio. Not the largest portion of fried fish, but good. Recommendation goes out. Rustic atmosphere right on the water.

Fish with fries...it would only be nice if there had been fish too, the little bit of indefinable stuff and the mountain of over-salted fries are a joke. By far the worst thing you can get on the Elbe, you could rather lick a round of curbstones on the Reeperbahn, that would be better from a culinary point of view than the crap you get here.

Rip off!!! There was a big offer in front of the shop and also in terms of prices: fish sandwiches €5.90 + beer €2.50. We ordered this twice. But instead of the actual €16.80 we were charged €18.80. When we asked the waitress about it, she denied the existence of the offer. When we pointed out the two signs, she acted as if she couldn't understand us. I don't usually care about 2 euros, but to deny the mistake and not give us the money back is a huge impudence.

If you want to eat overpriced fries, the FishBar is the right place for you. The motto is probably lived there: little fish, lots of fries. Not what I expect at the port of Hamburg. NO recommendation from us! The FishBar will no longer serve us in the future! There are better options! Ahoy

A catastrophe, we just wanted to eat a fish sandwich quickly and not wait in line for long.... The fact that there was a long line everywhere with the crowds - but not here, should have given us pause. Long story short, the fryer captain took 25 minutes! To top a bun. The distribution of food took place without rhyme or reason. Change was naturally kept “for good karma”. The so-called fish sandwich (see picture) was a disgrace. The fish itself was the smallest on the whole roll, it was only half baked and the excessive use of tartar sauce prevented it from completely experiencing a different taste. The best thing was the atmosphere between the ferries.

A true fresh and delicious sea food you can get. It's pretty touristy and welcoming. The view of Elbe is mesmerizing. The fish and chips are the best here. Such a fresh and tasty fish.

The taste was quite good, but the size of the fried fish was a joke. Because of the huge portion of potato salad, I still felt full.

Backfish sandwich. Very fresh and great Fish. Balanced sauce. You need to try this!

Super tasty and super friendly service 😋

I didn't actually plan to eat there, I missed it a few times when walking past. But we were very positively surprised. Fish rolls were very tasty, as was the fried fish with fries and tartar sauce. In contrast to other shops, the fried fish in the roll is warm.

We had visitors and did the classic Hamburg program, which of course also included a fish sandwich. Rarely have I eaten such a delicious fried fish on a classic tourist corner. It took a while, but we passed the time with a neighborhood social :) In the end everyone was very happy. And the little shop with its light blue tiles is stylish too!

The food was okay. But: Totally overpriced. Over €11 for a small piece of fish with chips and a beer. The homemade tartar sauce is fine.

Very quick, freshly made fried fish, super tasty with fresh rye bread. Very friendly. Good price performance. It's very pleasing that they don't rip off the tourist customers.

Absolutely insane. The food is so delicious, I had a fried fish burger 2 years ago before the boat tour started. I still think about it today :D And we had a nice chat with the employee. Keep it up!

Baked fish rolls are tiny, fish only takes up about 10% of the roll. Mainly rolls with salad and tartar sauce. You can't call it a fish sandwich

The best and freshest fried fish roll I have eaten in Hamburg so far. Delicious roll, fresh lettuce leaf plus fresh dill, cucumber and tomato slice and the fried fish fresh and breaded with love. Delicious!!!

De la restauration rapide mais sympathique pour goûter une spécialité de Hambourg : le Bismarckbrotchen...un filet de Hareng avec oignons, concombres...dans le pain. Mer du Nord oblige.

Wir haben die Fishbar wegen der guten Rezensionen aufgesucht und was soll man sagen: alles absolut verdient! Super Backfisch!

Beste an den Landungsbrücken. Endlich mal frischer Fisch im modernen Ambiente. Weiter so.

Frischer Fisch und netter Service. Es wurde sehr unkompliziert auf Extrawünsche trotz Stress eingegangen.

Nach 3- tägiger Testtour - hier schmecken die Fischbrötchen am besten. 1. hier gibts auch dunkle Brötchen 2. ordentlich Salat und Remoulade drunter und der Fisch ist frisch. Wenn ihr heute(Montag) nicht zu hättet, dann….

Besten Fischbrötchen vor Ort erhalten, mit Liebe belegt - frisch und lecker.

Sehr freundliches Personal und der Fisch im Burger mit Pommes war super. Die Mango Chili Sauce hat einen Preis verdient. Wir kommen gerne bei unserem nächsten Besuch wieder. Grüße aus Nürnberg!

The guy who runs this spot isvery friendly. I caught him at the end of day and he immediately helped me. Speaks great English. Had the salmon sandwich. A little bread heavy but its good bread and there's lots of flavor in the sandwhich, which has salmon, pickle, lettuce, tartar sauce and a bit of some tomato sauce I've never had. Tasted fresh despite end of day. And the setting! Sunset on the docks. Not busy but a line formed behind me. A sandwich, water and fanta was 14.50 which is fair for this area.

Klein aber oho. Super legger..frisch zubereitet. Für den Preis völlig angemessen. Inhaber mit gutem Humor. Ich sage nur ..i shot the Scheriff. Er weiß was gemeint ist. Wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind kommen wir definitiv wieder.

Ich bin absolut begeistert! Die Fishbar besticht nicht nur durch die Freundlichkeit und Authentizität des Verkaufspersonals: "Kommt mal ran auf nen Meter, ich beiß nicht - außer ihr wollt es!" :) Super symphatisch! , sondern auch durch die leckeren - mal etwas anderen Hafensnacks. Von Garnelen über Tintenfisch und Oktopus, hinzum klassischen Wildlachs ist alles dabei. Knusprig frittiert, mit krossen Pommes serviert oder in Burgerformat, werden diese mit der passenden "Tunke" (Soße: Mango Chilli, hausgemacht & selbstkreirte Dirty Umami, nordische Remoulade u.v.m) mit einem knackigen Salat serviert. Ein perfekter Snack vor oder nach jeder Hafen-, oder Barkassenrundfahrt. Absolut empfehlenswert! Komme gerne wieder :)
