We are repeat offenders. Last year we discovered the Fischhuus while taking a walk. It is further away from our accommodation than the "fish stall" at the beginning of the promenade that everyone praised so much. At the Fischhuus the waitresses are always nice and friendly and the fish rolls are always freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. We would like to come back next year. Thank you very much

Perfect fish plate. Very tasty, well seasoned, large portion, crisp, colorful salad with honey mustard dressing and crispy fried potatoes. Price is absolutely fair. I haven't eaten so well in some "fancy restaurants" and certainly not at this price. Extra requests are easily accepted and implemented. Even with a protected outdoor area in winter. If you want fish, then definitely go to the Fischhuus in Dahme!!!

Great freshly prepared fish sandwiches on the Dahme promenade. My brother Christian recommended the location to me. I ate matjes and fried fish rolls there several times this week. Now I have a new reference for fish rolls and I will probably never be able to eat one at Nordsee again without thinking back to these perfect, freshly made and lovingly topped rolls. Great staff who don't let themselves be disturbed by a queue.

The long, artificial fingernails of the female employees seem rather inappropriate when handling food. Food is freshly prepared, even to go. We were there at rush hour, so we waited a little longer and were just polite. But I know it can be better. Space is only limited. But never had any negative experiences.

Today we spontaneously stopped by the Fischhuus for a small snack and decided on a fish roll (Matjes) and fries. As has already been mentioned several times, the fish sandwich tastes really good. Unfortunately, I just can't understand why such good fish rolls are sold with such a cheap roll. Clearly a profit margin, but a fish roll depends on the roll. Whatever. What we unfortunately didn't like was 1. the ambience and 2. the hygiene aspect of the gentleman who handled the raw fish. The ladies who prepared the fish rolls wore gloves and maneuvered the fish and salad etc into the fish roll using tongs and forks. The gentleman who was not responsible for the fish sandwiches did not wear gloves when preparing the fish nor did he turn away when he coughed. Of course you can or have to cough sometimes. But then you turn away. That spoiled my appetite afterwards, even though, as I said, the ladies did a very, very clean job. The ambience: More is always possible. It's not stuck in the 70s, but in my opinion it's not chic either. But that's also a matter of taste. *Edit: I completely forgot. No card payment is possible. An absolute no-go for me these days. You can pay by card at every strawberry stand. It's bad enough that in Germany you still have to be afraid of being told that card payments are not possible.

The food was great as always, but the woman miscalculated when I asked her about it, there was no answer and she spoke to another employee in a foreign language. The other colleague then asked me what I had paid and then gave the money back. This has happened to me a few times. Super delicious fish sandwiches!!! Unfortunately, enthusiasm for the service was limited when it came to being allowed to/have to work there. The surroundings are loveless. You can do so much more. It was raining in several places, no heaters that invite you to linger and drink a wine with your fish sandwich in peace. Great for taking away, flop for sitting down!
