Hier gibt es einen sehr leckeren Backfisch mit Kartoffelsalat, den ich sehr empfehlen kann.

Leckeres Fischbrötchen, ob mit Lachs oder Backfisch. Eignet sich immer gut für eine Pause zwischen Zeche Ewald und Veltins-Arena.

Haben gerade 2mal Backfisch mit abgezähltenPommes gegessen.Dazu 2mal 0,33 Bier. Haben bezahlt 30.50 Euro. Also abzocken lass ich mich nicht nochmal. Preiswuchert nennt man das, und kommt mit jetzt nicht mit Mindestlohn. Die Mehrwertsteuer wurde gesenkt und Pommes sind so billig wie noch nie.

Fisch trifft sympathische Ruhrpottschnauze. Gute Qualität und ordentliche Portionen.

Besonders empfehlenswert ist der frisch zubereitete Backfisch. Natürlich gehören auch die leckeren Fischbrötchen in verschiedenen Varianten zum Angebot. Verzehren kann man die Speisen entweder in dem eher schlicht gehaltenen Innenraum oder draußen an den gepflegten Bierzeltgarnituren. Dort ist man allerdings dem Verkehrslärm der Dorstener Straße ausgesetzt. Deshalb nehmen wir die ausgewählten Gerichte meistens mit nach Hause. Die Fischwagen von Lichte sind zudem häufig auf größeren Veranstaltungen, insbesondere auf Kirmessen, vertreten. Guten Hunger!

Lecker super freundliche Bedienung

Sie verkaufen sehr leckeren frittierten Fisch, absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir essen hier gerne den super Backfisch da er noch mit richtigem Bierteig hergestellt ist. Er ist einfach Himmlisch. Die Preise sind moderat und angemessen, Parkplatz hatten wir immer direkt vor Ort. Mann kann draußen sowie drinnen essen, schöne Lokation.

Spontan entschieden auf die heutige Frühjahrskirmes in Castrop-Rauxel vorbeizuschauen. Wollten unseren Hunger mit einem Backfisch beginnen. Allerdings wurden wir durch die dicke Panade enttäuscht und der Service war nicht akzeptabel. Wenn ich einen Backfisch überreicht bekomme und ich nicht schnell die Servietten greifen kann u. a. mich das Gewürzsalz anspricht nachfrage, ob ich mir etwas nehmen kann. Aufgrund der Geräuschkulissen mehrfach beim Servicepersonal Nachfragen musste und etwas vor sich her murmelt wird um dann eine patzige Antwort erhalte, ob ich bezahlt hätte finde ich es unverschämt. Trotz der Tatsache, dass der Kauf des Fisches nur paar Sekunden war. Für den Preis erwarte ich einen leckeren Fisch und keine unterschwelligen Antworten vom Servicepersonal!!

Gerade mit 2 mal Kibbeling mit Pommes und einem Backfisch mit Kartoffelsalat nach Hause gekommen. 30 € dafür bezahlt und ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Pommes waren unten klein und hart und kleinere Schälchen habe ich noch nie gesehen. Die Kibbeling Portionen verdienten auch nicht unbedingt das Adjektiv "üppig". Ausserdem fehlte bei allen 3 Portion der dazugehörige Dip. Das Matjesbrötchen zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit war lecker, hatte aber mit 4 Euro fast Kirmesniveau...mitten im April. FAZIT: Preis/ Leistung echt bescheiden. Das nächste Mal lieber wieder bei Fisch BADE auf dem Markt oder am Donnerstag am Imbisswagen .

Ich habe lange nicht mehr einen so leckeren Backfisch gegessen. Wenn wir nochmal in der Nähe sind, mache ich bestimmt wieder einen Abstecher dorthin und freu mich jetzt schon drauf. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass man sich an einer Straße und neben einer Tankstelle so wohl fühlen kann.

Haben das Essen Zuhause weggeschmissen. Waren zum ersten Mal dort , keine Ahnung ob es einfach nur Pech war. Ein zweites Mal wird's definitiv nicht geben.

When hunger strikes and your stomach is craving fish, simply head to Fischhaus Lichte and enjoy a delicious meal. Very friendly staff and a cozy dining area for eating in.

Even as a child, my parents always took me to the Lichte stand at the Cranger Kirmes fair. That hasn't changed over the years. Whether at the Christmas market or the fair, I always look forward to eating fresh fried fish there. Every now and then, I even drive the 34 km from Hattingen to the Lichte location in Wanne-Eickel. The quality and taste are always top-notch 👍🏼 The garlic or herb sauce is also incredibly delicious. So, I can wholeheartedly recommend Fischhaus Lichte and will remain a loyal customer for many years to come.

At the Bochum Christmas market, I got a tiny piece of fish with a lot of breading and a small dollop of remoulade in a hard, reheated mini-bun for €8.50. They call it "Backfisch" (fried fish), and it was simply disgusting. I'm done with Lichte.

We were very disappointed; we thought we could still eat in the restaurant, but it's just a snack bar where you can eat outside. It's a shame, especially since it's not mentioned online. The fact that the restaurant is closed and it's just a snack bar really needs to be corrected urgently.

I used to really like Lichte... unfortunately, that's changed, and I'm coming less and less. I think a lot of satisfaction depends on the staff. I hope Lichte goes back to what it used to be.

We only ate outside under the gazebo, but the food. The staff was great, so I would gladly go there again for simple meals. It has been known for its quality for years and maintains it.

Home port – with a funfair feeling, free nausea included They call it home port. It's supposed to be cozy, homey, a place to linger. In reality, it feels like the sad remnants of a funfair that no one wanted to dismantle. The asphalt is sticky, the trash can is overflowing, and somewhere, cooking grease, beer, and cheap perfume mix to create a smell that makes your eyes water. The fried fish? An outrage. Flaky on the outside, raw on the inside – but sold with the confidence of a gourmet temple. I ask a girl about it, point to the rats scurrying across her feet. She looks at me, calmly takes a drag on her cigarette, and turns away. Welcome home. With all due respect to the Ruhr region – if this is supposed to be "home," then I'd rather remain homeless.

Food trucks like at a fair, outside! But you do have the option of eating in what was once a restaurant. If you're able to walk, you can pick up your own food outside and eat it indoors in a sheltered environment if the weather is bad. As here, there are too few staff because no one wants to work anymore (my own assumption). Nevertheless, people help out and carry the food to the table!!! Restrooms are available, but I can't recommend them as a woman! The door handle of one of the restrooms fell off when opened because the splint wasn't there. It was also dirty, from the traffic from a car repair shop or other filthy people. Drinks were only cold that day, but the gas station right next door was, of course, selling the precious liquid (no idea about the price, just heard it when a customer asked). But last but not least, the best part...the fish is amazing. Whether whole or as kibbeling (fish pieces). Freshly fried, with or without sauce, as are potato salad and fries! Fish sandwiches with commercially available fish, etc., are also available or are freshly prepared. Overall, the food is delicious, but the atmosphere is 🫣

I happened upon this place by chance. It's simply fantastic for a midday snack. Kibbeling just as good as in the Netherlands.

Today at the autumn fair in Castrop. Never again there. The fried fish looked like it was cemented in place. The batter around the fish was thicker than the bread roll, greasy and hard. There wasn't much fish in it and it was tasteless. The garlic mayo was the best.

Today was the last time we ate there. We used to go there often, but that's over. We had fried fish in a bun once, and fried fish with potato salad once, and a Coke Zero. The portion of fried fish was an absolute joke. It wasn't fish, it was a tiny fish!! Charging €3.50 for a small bowl of potato salad is pretty cheeky. All in all, we paid €21, and we were both still hungry even though it was a tiny portion. It's a real shame, because Lichte always has the best fried fish.

So we absolutely don't understand the negative reviews! We ate fried fish there today, which was freshly prepared, incredibly delicious, and for €7, you really can't complain about the portion size. The service was very friendly. We ate inside. It was very clean, bright, and friendly. It's a good thing we formed our own opinion and didn't let the negative reviews sway us. We will definitely eat there again and highly recommend it.

Delicious matjes rolls and very friendly service

The fried fish tastes truly delicious, which I really appreciate. However, I find it a bit of a shame that both the sauce and the bread roll are now charged separately. Given this, I find the total price of €8.50 to €9.00 rather high.

Kibbeling with almost nothing but breadcrumbs is still way too expensive for €8.50. It's also too salty and contains almost no fish. It's really hard to resist.

We were at the Cranger Kirmes on Heerstrasse today. Traditionally, we buy our fried fish there at Lichte. It was and remains the best. The reason the food only gets one star is because of the smoked salmon we bought with it. The fish was dry, the roll was hard, and both looked inedible. After removing the old-fashioned piece, there wasn't much fish left. That's understandable and not really a criticism. Our child stole an onion. He immediately spat it out because it was also inedible. According to his child's perception, it tasted moldy. Our child likes to eat onions on their own, so he can interpret the taste. Since we took it home and it was all wrapped up when we received it, we couldn't complain on the spot. Either way, you can't sell a roll like that anymore. Especially not for that price.

Too bad we were there on Saturday. The internet said it was open, but it was closed. And then there was the fair. It took us a long time to get there. Too bad. We won't be back.

Today (02/08/25) I bought two fried fish at the Cranger Kirmes. First of all, the fried fish was almost cold; it looked and tasted good, but it was cold. So, let's get to the painful part: the price: €7.50 for one fried fish + €1 for a dollop of sauce. That would be perfectly fine for the best fried fish in the world, but not here. Hence the well-intentioned review.

I actually always enjoyed eating there until today, that was my last time. They don't keep to the queue, they give priority to customers and the wait is endless. I've eaten there every day during my break and I always leave a tip!

We drove past and spontaneously decided to eat fried fish today. You can sit outside at beer tent tables. Unfortunately, it's next to a busy road. It's also possible to eat inside, but it seemed very dark and uninviting. The portion of fish was manageable; I've had larger pieces for this price before, for example, at the Christmas market. Unfortunately, the breading was very greasy. The garlic mayonnaise was quite good. However, at one euro, it was also very expensive. The portion of fries was more like a small portion and much too expensive for €3.50. Since the value for money here isn't right, we won't be coming back.

The fried fish could have used more seasoning, and the fries were a disaster, not to mention soggy. We were smothered for the second time and definitely won't be coming back. The red-haired lady was very friendly, but she still needs to learn how to make fries.

Well, what can I say...we were disappointed. Ordered 2 fried fish, a small fries and 2 Cokes. The dollop of sauce and the bread roll were of course charged extra, so the fried fish already cost 8.50 €. Ordered a Coke and you got a tiny 0.2l Coke, so we quickly reached 25 €, whereas the 2 naked fried fish cost 14 €. It didn't matter, it was expensive but we were looking forward to the fried fish. With all the flies doing their mischief there, it happened as it had to. After my wife had eaten half a fried fish, a fried fly appeared. We were of course served and certainly didn't want another fried fish. After we pointed this out to the saleswoman, she became rude to us, immediately started a firefight and basically made us look stupid. I had actually only wanted to point out a cover for the beer batter, then something like this probably wouldn't have happened. We didn't feel like arguing and left. No insight, no sorry, nothing. Such behavior towards customers leaves a lot to be desired.

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated considerably. The fried fish at the Rheinkirmes was quite small, the breading was too greasy, and I didn't like the bread roll. I'll buy my next fried fish somewhere else.

Food was okay, portions were actually quite small, but that's okay. But the service. By God, I understand that sales aren't easy and customers are difficult. But when you roll your eyes an hour before closing for a simple order and mumble under your breath: "That too." No kidding. We had kibbeling, shrimp, and a roll. Plates were slammed down, eyes rolled. That has nothing to do with the Ruhr area, that's just really bad service and nothing else. For the owner, today at just before 6 a.m. But nothing needs to change because of us, we won't be coming back with that service staff anyway.

Best fish for miles around. Friendly staff and the food is great. Rustic but nice inside, and the outdoor area is also good (although it takes a bit of getting used to, being between the gas station and the main street ;) )

5 stars Went to the Lichte fish shop today with my wife and child - around 7:50 p.m. Unfortunately the deep fryer had been out since 7 p.m., so I couldn't get any more fried fish. But the nice operator gave me a meal voucher as a small consolation - really great service! Many thanks to the entire team at Fischladen Lichte – we’ll be happy to come back!

I happened to pass by and was looking forward to a delicious herring roll. The finished rolls looked quite unappetizing by now and had probably been sitting in the display for a while. When I asked for a fresh one, they only prepared it very reluctantly. There were endless amounts of pre-cooked fried fish and kibbelinge sitting there, who would want to eat that? I actually found it cheeky that you get half a fish in a roll, pay for a whole portion, and get half!

If you want fried fish from a fair, this is the place for you! It's great👍🏻 But if you want some fries with it, don't expect too much... the fries are good, but unfortunately a little small for two people😕 So next time just do two fried fish😎

Simply an incredibly delicious fish stall! Staff is pure Ruhr area. Ambience? Bar table, next door car wash, main streets, but also bar tables. I think it's great.

The fried fish was very tasty...but the size was definitely too small. The fries are a joke, not even a handful. Cool atmosphere in the restaurant. When asked nicely, you don't take any notice of it.

When I drove to your fish stand on the Whmarkt Bochum, I remembered the unpleasant incident with your cheeky staff last year. Doesn't matter. Now it was others. The young gentleman didn't say the price when I ordered, I paid €50 and, after receiving the change, mistakenly assumed I would still get 50ct. I shouted this, whereupon he pointed out that €8 was correct according to the sign and mocked the accusation. It is posted and you should read it. I then said it wasn't an accusation, emphasized it gesturally, and that there were people with eye problems too. (like me). The 7.50 was big there and the plus 50ct was very small at the bottom. I then waited while another waitress who had appeared in the meantime was already handing the fish sandwiches to the next customer and I realized that I had to make myself known to the person opposite in front of the empty stand. So I said again what I wanted and that I had already paid, got the fish sandwich and said an accusatory "I have to say that too, you can't know that". The fish sandwich then becomes a minor matter. At the end I threw a friendly but loud: "and preferably everyone a little nicer" into the booth "a little nicer". Fish stall sellers who believe the fish trawlerTON is part of it are out of place at the festival of love. But now finally: NEVER again. Merry Christmas time!

Oh wow. I haven't been treated so unkindly in a long time. They made fun of us while we were still choosing and were totally annoyed because we chose in 2 minutes and I wanted to pay by card. When asked that I could hear her talking about us, she became rude. Younger woman with a hat. 8 euros for a portion of kibbelinge that was just greasy and hardly made of fish.

Luckily, the quality of the fish was many times better than the big mouth of the fish-cutting "assistant Willi".....!!!! Someone still has a lot to learn about customer-oriented behavior.

It was nice to eat delicious fried fish from Fischhaus Lichte again. Locality is like a chip shop. But there are guest rooms where you can also sit and eat inside. Toilets are also available. There is a windbreak outside where you can sit outside when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, the selection of fish sandwiches is not that extensive. But everything is fresh and of the usual good quality. For fried fish lovers... try it out.

A lot of penaade little fish for 7€???

The older lady with the pink hair really tarnished my positive image of Lichte for years. One customer with two orders and there was chaos. The lady should write down what is ordered otherwise there will be even more dissatisfied customers. I don't want to go into detail here, but the young man who fried the fish would have had more sales skills. I ordered and my customers ate earlier than me, even though they were also kibbelinges. When I paid for my food and was about to eat my dish, the lady with the punk hair stood in front of me with her hands on her hips and said that she hadn't paid for her drink yet. When I told her that I had paid for everything with her earlier, she said that the drink wasn't there. I was insulted in a very unpleasant and embarrassing way that made me feel embarrassed in front of the other customers. I've been eating at Lichte for years, no matter the fair or event, but most of all at Klaeser. This has never happened to me in 22 years of retail. The customer in front of me turned to me and said she was probably a little confused. Unfortunately, she was absolutely right. Whether it was the wrong amount of remaining money or people getting mayo instead of ketchup were just a few impressions in the 20 minutes I was there. This lady should push for customer friendliness, Mathematics and dealing with people are trained. Nevertheless, I will continue to get my fish in the light. Sincerely

Fried fish is more breading than fish and is outrageously expensive. Kibbelinges don't taste good at all.

Personally, I like the fish excellently, but these Hallordries that always scream “make me a fried fish” from the car are just a bit too much for me, but they are still a perfect fish restaurant.

The Ober Hammer! Fried fish in a roll with a reasonable garlic sauce! The lady was very friendly and the food was really great! We will be back !

We recently went there with my children. Absolutely rude, didn't feel like working. Probably. Wanted to have 3 Bremen but didn't get an answer, she just put the fish meatballs into the bun with her bare hands. Then I asked if there was no ketchup and fried onions, she said just ketchup in a bowl and that was it. The hammer comes straight into your mouth after you have cashed in. Yes, my children no longer had an appetite when they saw that.

The Fischhaus Lichte is known from various fairgrounds. However, we had somewhat different expectations at the permanent headquarters. But unfortunately there was only the same fairground car on the edge of an industrial area. The fried fish was also small, with lots of breading. And the whole thing at fair prices - disappointing!

Let's be honest, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. there's no one there at the dirty little piss cart. After several calls, someone knocks and so someone came to the window and made some kind of hand gestures. After 20 minutes, she finally moved outside in a very careless way I lost my appetite, this was the second time.
