This restaurant is sooooo recommendable. The champagne to start with, a very well-seasoned soup, my Labskaus, and the plaice for my wife—the very best cuisine. We enjoyed everything because it was wonderful. By the way, this review is also a compliment for the great hospitality. Thank you very much.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating; we always have a great time eating there. And yes, it's not exactly cheap, but the quality and love for the products makes up for that!!! The Fischdeel | Land & Meer in Eckernförde impresses across the board: Expensive, yes – but every high price seems justified here. From the appetizers to the main course, quality is paramount. The starters are wonderfully varied: soups, sprats, mussels, and shrimp – all fresh and with creative combinations. A highlight was the plaice with scallops: perfectly fried, tender, and aromatic, the mussels complementing them without overpowering them – a true taste experience. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive; you feel welcome and well-advised. The ambiance and attention to detail, along with a careful wine recommendation, round out the visit. If you love fish and the Baltic Sea – everything is just right here.

Four of us dined (2 plaice, 2 pan-fried fish). The food was very tasty, albeit expensive (€38/€39), and the portions were okay. By mistake, one side salad was served too many. After a few minutes, the waiter noticed this and cleared it away. When we asked him to leave the salad and pointed out that it couldn't be served elsewhere, the waiter replied, "But I can still eat it myself." In our opinion, such behavior is inappropriate for a restaurant whose prices are classified as upscale dining. We would have expected at least an offer to leave the salad for a fee.

We had simply politely asked how long the kitchen would be open. The waitress gave such an unfriendly and snippy reply that we left the restaurant. One star is still too much.

We've been waiting 40 minutes for our food, even though the table next to us arrived after us and there are four people. We're not being noticed. Only the drinks arrived 40 minutes ago. No bread, no alioli. Ice-cold service, a disaster. Exorbitant prices for the abysmal service. You only get excellent service if you flaunt your wealth. This is abysmal.

Since I come from the catering industry myself and trained in the profession (hotel management), I know what I'm talking about. The food was excellent, and as the saying goes, "eat with your eyes." The food—starter, main course, and dessert—were fantastic! The service was also excellent, but unfortunately, we had a bad experience with one of the waitresses: We had just ordered drinks and wanted to reorder something, so we went to the counter. There, THIS waitress told us rudely, "Go to your seat, we'll take your order right away." She then changed her clothes and left the restaurant without passing on our order. What a shame, a real shame. We're not used to this kind of experience at the Fischdeel...

The ambiance is quite pleasant and tasteful. However, the clientele is strangely mixed. The restaurant was recommended to us, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food (sole). We're fairly certain the sole wasn't fresh or even well-battered. The service also made us wait a long time and wasn't well-trained, considering the restaurant's standard of service. Unfortunately, we can't confirm the recommendation from friends.

Great fish restaurant in Eckernförde! Here you can enjoy very tasty fish with a draft Flensburger! We decided on three types of herring and I have to say I have never eaten herring like this before! Simply fantastically delicious, there were also fried potatoes that were also perfectly fried! The staff is typically northern German, always on a first-name basis and always with a saying at the ready! Eating out is fun! Maybe not the cheapest restaurant in terms of price, but fish and good cuisine cost a little more and it was definitely worth it! We'll definitely come back as soon as we're back in Eckernförde!

Stacked high, unfortunately... We eat out every weekend and were hoping for a lot more based on the reviews! For me as an allergy sufferer to hard shellfish, the selection was very poor. I chose the graved salmon, thinking it would be an appetizer. There was also some mashed potatoes that weren't even that good; unfortunately I missed the butter note. Unfortunately, a greeting from the kitchen is not available here. The Cabernet Souvion was ok, ordinary! For 100 euros for 2 people without starter or dessert, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right for me. Especially since I left the restaurant hungry afterwards! Furthermore, it was quite cool and dark, not a comfortable place Just a shame!!!

..the food was very, very good. Even for non-fish eaters there is at least one meat dish. One small thing that we noticed: the service was more often at other tables than at ours. But maybe that was because there are a lot of regular guests and we were there for the first time? But we didn't miss anything and the service was good. The table we were assigned was in the “darker” part of the restaurant. I had trouble reading the menu. a small lamp on the table would be nice.

For us, Schotti's Fischdeel is by far the best restaurant in Eckernförde; the quality, price, performance and, most importantly, the service are right here! The team harmonizes perfectly, is always up for fun, just great! Every visit is a highlight, always changing delicacies, competent service, great wine list! Eating with friends! Yes, quality and service come at a price, but it's totally justified! We are big fans of the Fischdeel and always come from Hanover because we enjoy it! Strolled past the Fischdeel in the early afternoon with a hungry stomach... the restaurant doesn't open until 5 p.m.... BUT... the very friendly host recommends that we sit outside in the warm spring sun and order an appetizer from the shop. Super! We were delighted with the great little delicacies made from fish, crabs and vegetables. Very tasty and recommended as a starter! Then a little later in the restaurant the main course of cutter's plaice and boiled cod with Dijon mustard sauce was a real treat! Good fish food has its price, but if the quality and taste are right, it's worth it. When the service is so friendly, we feel really at home. So top rating!

Our fourth and it will have been our last visit. As my companion said about her dish: "I could eat it and I was full" no further comment...(pasta with salmon...she usually loves that!) My fried cod was on point, nothing wrong with the side dishes. At the end, look at the price. Of all the dishes! With all understanding for the difficulties in the catering industry. Here the price-performance ratio for starters and main courses is no longer correct. The service gets another four stars, but it is noticeable when food is served but then stands around in the counter area for about 20 minutes until it comes to the guest!! That was the 3 matjes for the neighboring table, which was already collecting dust...

We were invited to the theater and dinner in the evening! Now it was time to stop by this restaurant in the afternoon for a few appetizers! Since I have spent my life around the world in a culinary way, I suspected from several things that something good awaited me! It was more than that! Absolutely great! Thank you very much for that! Fish at its best! After more than 20 years again in Eckernförde... Even today, if you want to eat good fish, you should go to Fischdeel. However, a lot has changed in these 20 years :-) The Fischdeel has a new owner and a new concept. To make a long story short... it's even better, almost perfect! We had reserved a table for Saturday evening (actually nothing works without a reservation) and were given a very friendly welcome. A beautiful table, from which we got an interesting insight into the kitchen processes, was waiting for us. There was a Cremont (rose!) as an aperitif and a modular system for drivers :-) (see picture). As a starter we chose oysters or labkaus (a revelation!) and for the main course we served pike perch on potato/savoy cabbage mash and cream chanterelles as well as a mixed fish pan with fried potatoes and salad. Everything is top quality, to the point, presented in a visually appealing manner and served perfectly. For dinner we chose a young Riesling from Rheinhessen, which turned out to be a real stroke of luck; tangy, fruity and a perfect match for the dishes. If you want to find a weak point, you can point out (if you want) that the portions are perhaps too generous. In any case, we treated ourselves to dessert and went straight to the digestif. In summary: Clear recommendation!!

The starter of crab soup was a dream. I chose the “wrong” main course. Here you have to and can eat fish! During my visit I had the impression that I wasn't treated quite as courteously as I had already experienced.

This restaurant is an absolute recommendation and worth a visit in every respect. All of our dishes were very good! We had a small complaint about the plaice which we also addressed when we picked up the plates. The boss then came to our table and apologized to us incredibly sincerely and nicely. We ate out a lot in restaurants (Copenhagen, Berlin, Rostock, Hamburg), but the fact that you could find such a world-class fish restaurant in this small town of Eckernförde blew us away. Starting with a reception service with table placement, the very friendly and professionally excellent service (always up to date on the daily specials, offers smaller portions for the intermediate course, very good wine knowledge and always a keen eye for the table service), to the very tasty, excellent Tasty dishes with excellent quality. This restaurant alone is worth the trip to Eckernförde.

As always, the food was fantastic and well prepared. We had reserved a table and had been to this restaurant several times before, unfortunately the receptionist kept us waiting longer without even giving us a look. They more or less ignored us instead of just saying that they had time for us in a moment. The younger staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the regular service staff were a bit snippy and arrogant. That didn't go over particularly well!

Every time I come to Eckernförde, Fischdeel is my first port of call. Eating here feels like eating at a family table. Schotti, the owner and his team, always make you feel comfortable and accept your every wish. The quality of the food is outstanding and I can recommend everyone to come here. There were 7 of us eating here and we had booked a table. We were given a table outside a little away, white tablecloth, nothing more. Directly in front of the restaurant entrance all the tables were nicely set with roses and candles. I then went in and asked if we could also have table decorations since we had a birthday child with us. Decorations came, I would have thought that perhaps in this case a small greeting would come from the kitchen for the birthday, nothing. The food was great, plentiful and good quality. The service was slow, we had to ask for more drinks and dessert, we weren't asked. Rather sad in such a high-priced restaurant. For comparison: we went to a different restaurant a week earlier for another birthday. When we mentioned the birthday, a round of aperitifs was served and a schnapps for dessert, that's how I imagine the service would be.

We had a special day to celebrate and our table was beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, the table in question stood uncomfortable and unhappy in the middle of the path and draft outside (along with three others); people used to like to call it a “cat table”. The food was very, very tasty, but it wasn't a romantic evening. One of the two waitresses was super nice and hard-working, the other was unfortunately careless, hectic and, on the other hand, with too much “chat time” at some tables. It's a shame, hence only 4 stars and the realization that you should probably eat here in the off-season so that the price-performance ratio including the ambience is better. One more note: if you can't keep up with the service anyway, you shouldn't squeeze in extra tables in order to get as many guests through as possible. Unfortunately, we were not alone in this impression; our “cat table neighbors” also left disappointed and hastily.

The food was freshly prepared and we all enjoyed it. The restaurant was very busy that evening, which perhaps led to small delays at one point or another. But that wasn't a bad thing and was made up for by the general friendliness - at all levels. I would love to come back here. 👍

Chosen from numerous other restaurants in the area for the first dinner of the holiday and hit the mark. Exceptionally good food, from the starter dip to the outstanding fish stew. The price is a little higher, but it's definitely worth it. Attentive, extremely friendly service and when every table is taken care of, the chef even comes to check whether it tastes good. The only downside is that the dessert, a scoop of ice cream with espresso for €7.50, is quite high. Clear recommendation!
