Employees seemed bored and listless. The fish sandwiches tasted the same and are completely overpriced. 2x fried fish rolls + 2x soda for almost €25?

If you want to sit outside with a little “view” and have a drink... ok!! Otherwise it's more of a snack bar than a restaurant! Just look at the schnitzel... a very, very small frozen schnitzel that went into the deep fryer and then lay on the plate, dripping with fat... and then for 16.50... scary

Dat Fischhuus has always been my first port of call in Eckernförde in recent years, apparently there has been a change of operator. Cannot be compared with the previous owner.

Man hat das Gefühl, abgefertigt zu werden. Das ist nach meiner Meinung ein Imbiss, der mit Restaurant nix zu tun hat. Auch wenn die Masche so´n bisschen von Gosch abgeguckt ist. Aber das ist kein Vergleich. Produkte sind nicht schlecht. Aber die Verpackung - nix für mich.

Very tasty fish sandwiches right at the harbor.

Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us. The fried potatoes were in the pan for far too long, the potato salad was bought and didn't really taste good, the remoulade was mayonnaise with a little parsley, the housewife sauce lacked flavor and the sherry matjes wasn't the best quality either in terms of taste or firmness.

It's definitely delicious. They're nice too. So good value for money. Top 👍😃

Had cod fillet. Was cooked well. Some more variety in the salad attachment would have been welcome. Price-quality ratio is excellent. Beautiful view over the harbour. Friendly service.

We were here for the second time and were not disappointed. At the end there was a nightcap on the house. Really had a nice evening there.

Incredibly unfriendly and slow staff!🤨 After I called attention to myself twice, I was made to understand that the waitress was coming soon. However, she only went to the neighboring table to take the order there... we were told by another waiter that we should go in and order there ourselves. Tip: It's much nicer to sit across the bridge, the service is very friendly and quick, and the food is great!

Breaded pollack with fried potatoes. 2 pieces of fish, of which 1 breading is almost burnt, corresponds to dry fish. Remolade was equivalent to 1 teaspoon. Doesn't correspond to my expectations.

We wanted to eat fish and chips. We then got fish nuggets and fries. One positive thing I can mention is that the food was hot. Unfortunately, that was all. The nuggets were first fried and then warmed up again in the pan. This is how eating fish can make you feel sick. The fries tasted a little better, but they were served with a salad mayonnaise that tasted too sweet for me. The ambience is great, view of the harbor. The tables could be clean, then at least you could have a drink here...

Unfortunately the fried potatoes were soggy and some of them were black. Fish was good that's why at least 2 stars.

If you want to eat pressed breadcrumbs instead of a fish cake in a bun, you've come to the right place!

We sat inside because it was pretty full outside, but that didn't bother us. My husband had plaice and was very satisfied, the fried potatoes with it were great. I had the currywurst😅, I'm just not much of a fish eater. It was also good, which I liked because there wasn't too much sauce on the sausage.

I'm sorry, but by far the worst fish sandwiches we've ever eaten, let's not even talk about the prices. This restaurant made a good impression at first glance, but unfortunately we were wrong. We wouldn't recommend it!

Some details could be better. The salt and pepper shakers made a dirty impression and the (men's) toilets smelled very strong.

Leider war das Essen nicht gut. Die Getränke musste man sich auch selber holen. Eher ein Imbiss als ein Restaurant. Vor Z Jahren hat ez dort nesser geschmeckt.

I used to be here regularly, apparently there was a change in concept (ordering at the counter -> well, ok), but at the same time I imagine that the prices have been increased and the quality seems to have gone down. The fish was fried for far too long in too much fat and therefore had hardly any taste.

Super friendly staff, have a smile for you even in the busiest crowds and offer great service. The restaurant is designed for many guests and the menu accordingly. Still a good selection. We had different fish dishes that were prepared to perfection, the portions were generous and simply delicious. You can sit right next to the romantic harbor, watch people and see ships sailing. Nice place!

As a resident of Eckernförde, I went there regularly because they had the best and freshest fried fish rolls. The last few times, however, it was noticeable that the price had increased, but the size of the fish had halved, and there was only a small leaf of lettuce and a touch of tartar sauce in it. Yesterday the piece of fish was kept warm, which made it totally boring, the batter was very dark and even smaller than usual. When I complained about this, the dark-haired man behind the counter became very unfriendly in his broken German, even more unfriendly than usual and you already have every time he feels like he doesn't feel like it and is completely annoyed! The rest of the team is trying very hard, but you can also notice the tense mood among the employees there. I can well imagine how stressful a season like this can be with so many visitors, you can get annoyed at times, but when I offer a service, a little bit of friendliness is still to be expected. For me that was the last time I bought anything there. I felt like I was totally ripped off in the Fischhuus yesterday, apart from being treated extremely unfriendly again! Thanks for nothing!

The concept consists of partial self-service, you first have to go to the counter and remember the table numbers beforehand, and then the food is served to the table. Okay, that's fine. Inside, however, it's confusing as to where you can order now, because there's a separate checkout for take away, so you'll probably be in the wrong line. The quality of the food is quite okay, but nothing more. For example, the fries were almost cold and not in the deep fryer for long, which is rather unpleasant. So if you want to go out for a delicious meal, you may be disappointed here.

We had a spontaneous meal here today. The view of the harbor is wonderful and cozy. The order was made after making a selection in the restaurant and was then served at the table. The service is very friendly and despite the fact that it was very busy, they respond to requests calmly and thoughtfully. Unfortunately there is no toilet, you have to use it outside. I have one point of criticism for the sour cream; it didn't taste like that to me, it just tasted like quark from the supermarket.

We had a really delicious meal 😊... The price-performance ratio was totally reasonable...there was plenty for the price and it was really very tasty...everything was freshly prepared... And you didn't have to wait long at all...everyone was super friendly and accommodating... All we can do is say thank you🍀... When we are back in Eckernförde, we will definitely come back..

Pollock was very oily and unappetizing, fried potatoes very little and totally dry. The schnitzel was frozen and only browned in the deep fryer. Matjes was good. Overall, no recommendation.

Paid too much and ordered something and didn't receive it at all!

We ordered salmon - it was clearly already bad. Didn't smell like salmon should smell. When we asked, we, who regularly eat fish, were told that salmon smelled and tasted like that. Reluctantly a new one was brought to us. Which, what a miracle, smelled and tasted like salmon smells and tastes. We had to forego any insight from staff or an apology.

Have been here several times a year so far. Today for the last time. Price/performance is no longer right. Crab rolls have practically halved for the last time. The price was increased for this. Are disappointed. It was always worth a detour, then it's back to Büsum!

The owner must have changed when I ate fish soup, it wasn't as tasty and rich with pieces of fish as the previous owner. The fish sandwich was also carelessly topped. In the last few years I've always been happy to eat there, delicious fish soup , but now I'm really disappointed. Higher price, but less in the terrine, little taste and the fish pieces in the soup are tiny 😞 Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it. It's a shame, I always enjoyed eating at Dat Fischhuus .

Personally, I would describe it as: An expensive snack bar in a nice location. The fried potatoes were not really edible when warmed up (anyone who has ever tried to warm up fried potatoes knows what I mean). The fries were lukewarm, not great either. The hunter's sauce was the crowning glory. I couldn't declare this indefinable mass to be sauce. Even my fork refused to dip into these. The apple spritzer was ok, but the food couldn't be rated. The staff was very nice and friendly. But he won't see us again. It's a shame, the situation clearly has room for improvement.

Served hygienically perfectly, fish especially the matjes and fried herring was a plus, salad was fresh and there was a demand for various side dishes. Waiter very friendly. For me a clear yes, will come again.

Sorry, but I know it differently. First of all, on the positive side: Every contact with a total of 3 of the waitresses was absolutely positive. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and really quick. Feel free to keep it that way! My drink was forgotten, but the money was refunded upon request and I was kindly apologized - it can happen, it's all good. Now for the negative - the food. I had herring that was difficult to cut or even impossible to cut at all, completely full of bones and rather semi-flavored. The fried potatoes were dripping with fat, soft and limp. I didn't even touch the salad garnish because it consisted almost entirely of lettuce ends. 17€ for that really hurts.

Snack bar character, has nothing to do with a restaurant inside. This is how you imagine a kebab shop. We were unlucky enough to have caught a rainy day, so we had to take a seat at one of the three tables (2x4s, 1x2s) and arrived when it was being cleared and quickly cleaned. Sitting outside in nice weather is certainly a pleasure. The laminated card in DinA3 format didn't make a good impression. But the service was quick and friendly. You order at the cash register, pay, and the food is brought to you. We had 2x plaice with bacon and fried potatoes. The drinks came first, the water glass was completely dirty, a second and third one were also dirty. Drink better from the bottle! The plaices that came quickly were of different sizes, with sometimes enough bacon, sometimes far too little, the salad is more of a garnish, but the "hit" was the fried potatoes, which really didn't deserve the name: half potatoes, soft, rubbery , clearly reheated in fat several times, poorly seasoned, without bacon or onions and instead with rock-hard potato crusts that seemed to come from the last few frying cycles. Toilets were okay, unfortunately only accessible with a key outside the guest room. CONCLUSION: The inside area can be used for absolute emergencies in bad weather, outside it is certainly nice, price-performance doesn't fit at all.

Wir waren an unserem Kurzptrip zu den Sprottentage zweimal da. Einmal nur für Getränke (Anderlö Sprizz lecker) und einmal auch zum Essen. Wir waren vollkommen zufrieden. Man bestellt und zahlt am Tresen und die Bestellung wird gebracht. Preise sind moderat und man sitzt sehr schön am Hafen.

A fish roll with stremella salmon (a small and cheap discounter baked roll) on hand for €8.50 is totally overpriced! On Sylt you pay €4.00 for the same quality at Blum or Gosch. A shrimp roll is even served over the counter for €10. Really leave the church in the village. Definitely not recommended!

The beautiful view over the harbor of Eckernförde has to be paid for dearly here. We ate fried fish sandwiches for €8 (!) each. They were quite decent and appetizing, but downright tiny. We felt a little taken advantage of. Despite the manageable number of visitors, the service staff were unable to keep the tables clean. Overall, the situation is being shamelessly exploited here.

None of the staff currently working there has any idea about the correct behavior of a service provider. The menu says "Wiener Schnitzel with a side dish of your choice. Also possible with hunter's sauce or paprika sauce." We ordered two schnitzels with hunter's sauce and fried potatoes. We got two Viennese schnitzels with fries and fried potatoes. When I asked the waitress (who only delivers the food) she said: "That's what it says on my checkout card". When we asked about the Jäger sauce we had ordered, the boss (?) came to us and interrupted our complaint with the words: "Now let me explain: A Wiener Schnitzel is always without sauce!". Then why do you put sauce on the menu? He didn't address the double side dishes that we were charged extra for. The most outrageous thing came afterwards when he said: "Just stay relaxed. The sun is shining, everything is fine. And others go into the basement to laugh!" and grabbed my girlfriend's shoulder! That is not how it works!

Our daughter really wanted a fried fish sandwich and was supposed to get one too. The waiting time was okay and the gentleman who prepared it was very friendly. But the bun wasn't nice at all. These little Sunday rolls from Aldi... the fish was still glassy and the breading was wafer thin... and for 8 euros!. It's a shame. Next time we'd rather walk to the top of the harbor.

Als Eckernförder freuen wir uns über die neue Bewirtschaftung. Das neue Konzept : bestellen und bezahlen am Tresen, das Essen und die Getränke werden an den Tisch gebracht, ist prima! Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Team. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt. Prima, dass man wieder gut essen kann an diesem schönen Ort im Hafen, inklusive Abendsonne ☀️

Didn't expect much more when it came to food; But if I order fish "fried" it shouldn't be fried in beer batter! And I had the glass of wine I ordered returned because it was all over it! (with lipstick) was smeared!! It then came with ice cubes! Therefore only 2 stars

We ate here today and were more than disappointed. I've been coming here for years and have persuaded my family to grab a bite to eat there as the fish sandwiches have always been amazing. The herring roll I had was ok, but not great. This was mainly due to the cheap baked roll. The service was very young and very overwhelmed, although it was normally full. Since there was no vegetarian option, my daughter and her friend took fries. These came in a small, loveless portion with ketchup in individual packaging. We felt like we were in a motorway service station. There was no cutlery, not even a napkin. The waitress must have forgotten that. Unfortunately, she didn't come close again. The boss (I assume) who I wanted to talk to put us off with a: “Yes, straight away!” and then did everything possible - he had forgotten about us. I think there are now more modern and customer-friendly ways to grab a bite to eat in Eckernförde. Maybe cheaper too: the run-of-the-mill fries cost €4.50 and the packaged ketchup also cost 70 cents.

We visited the Fischhuus almost after every bike tour and ate there. We sat outside and enjoyed the great ambience right in the harbor. The food was always very tasty and the portions were appropriately sized. We still found the prices to be moderate. We always enjoyed staying here and can therefore warmly recommend the Fischhuus.

Unfortunately, due to the cool temperatures, we could only sit inside and it smelled like old frying oil... a shame

"Dat Fischhuus" offers friendly service and not bad food, but an outrageous waiting time. After almost 50 minutes of waiting for 2 simple fish sandwiches, I lost all desire to visit the restaurant again. In addition, in my opinion, the way in which customers were served was not fairly managed. We sat down with some other customers at the same time, but a few customers were served twice while we couldn't even enjoy our first dish. Not recommended.

I wanted to buy fish sandwiches to take away and was able to watch the goings-on there for a while. It was busy, which is of course great for the owner. Maybe that was the reason why the gentleman standing at the counter preparing the fish sandwiches was very irritable. He did not maintain good behavior with his colleagues/employees. I found it terrible to notice everything. There were customers in the room and yet the tone towards the employees was not appropriate, even if it is stressful you still have to pull yourself together. I then left the store without buying anything. Of course I can't judge the quality of the food. However, I have decided to buy my fish sandwiches elsewhere in the future.

The ambience is very nice but the service is catastrophic. The waiters are very young and have obviously been in service for three days. Totally uncoordinated, chaotic and overwhelmed. Someone should show the kids how to give nice service.

Attention change of ownership in March 2024 The ambience has suffered badly (tables & ashtrays dirty, cutlery stained, etc.), the waitresses are no longer as radiant as you are used to in previous years, which is clear when you see how you deal with them. The tip stays with the owner and he seems to order you as he sees fit. Before you accuse someone of making a false statement, think about your own words, which were "There is no tip for March because it was too little." too little is not nothing. There are a lot of offers of the same goods in the surrounding area that you should seek out.

Nice little fish shop. The food is very tasty and the staff is friendly. The portions can only be slightly larger.

🎏 When I visited the Dat Fischhuus in Eckernförde, I was unlucky that no hot food was offered that day. This was very disappointing as I was actually hoping for a delicious meal. The ambience of the place is certainly nice, especially with the option to look outside. But unfortunately the ambience couldn't make up for the disappointing food experience. I will enjoy my fish sandwiches at a different location next time, hoping for a better dining experience. It's a shame that my visit to Dat Fischhuus didn't meet my expectations.🎣

Dirty, bored, unfriendly, high prices with poor quality.

Unfortunately, this time we were deeply disappointed. Dat Fischhus was always our first stop when we went on holiday in Eckernförde. We always raved about it. But apparently there is no longer a chef and therefore no menu. Not even a DIN A4 sheet that even says what doesn't exist. You had to ask for everything. No matter whether it was food or drinks 😞Then the tables outside hadn't been wiped down and there were 2 completely dirty ashtrays on our table 🤨 When the waitress asked us what we wanted, I first asked him to clean the table and put away the full ashtrays place. The staff was no longer as attentive as we were used to. We chose crab rolls. What then followed were 2 freshly baked baguette rolls with a leaf of Lolo Bionda salad and a small handful of crabs. Nothing served, no tartar sauce or dressing. Nothing just dry 😥 So this time it was just the one visit. Maybe things will change in the New Year. We'll give it a try Start again in May '24. Then let's see what happens.

Super leckeres Essen, Fisch schön saftig, Bratkartoffeln nicht zu fettig👍🏾. Sehr aufmerksames Servicepersonal und 1A Lage. Draussen sitzen und auf's Wasser schauen- herrlich 👍🏾

Ich reihe mich an alle 5-Sterne-Bewertungen an. Es ist tatsächlich eine sehr gute Adresse in Eckernförde. Hier werden alle Sinne angesprochen: man sitz auf der Terrasse mit dem Blick auf den Jachthafen, man genießt gute Ostsee Küche und wird noch sehr freundlich bedient. Hier kehr man gerne ein.

Butt bestellt 🤢 war nicht durch volle fett einfach Ekelhaft..28€ bezahlt mit Bratkartoffeln die nach garnichts schmeckte …….. Bedienung total launisch unfreundlich! solche Läden müssen dicht gemacht werden!

Hier gibt es leckere Fischgerichte und Fischbrötchen und natürlich auch andere Gerichte, liegt am Hafen an der Holzbrücke. Jetzt auch wieder sehr schöne Außensitzplätze. Aktuell habe ich hier Lachs mit Bratkartoffeln bestellt, leider hat es sehr lange gedauert bis ich mein Essen bekommen habe ( der Lachs musste wohl erst gefangen werden ). Das Essen und der Service war aber sehr gut.

Tolles kleines Restaurant in bester Hafenlage. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Fischgerichte unglaublich lecker. Absolute Empfehlung (wenn man das Glück hat einen Platz zu bekommen).

Essen war lecker, abgesehen vom Salat der war mehr Deko als wirklich genießbar. Ambiente is Top, genau am Hafen gelegen. Parkplätze sind gebührenpflichtig, aber man sollte eigentlich einen bekommen.

Spontan für dat Fischhus entschieden und es nicht bereut.. Sehr gute Portion zu einem fairen Preis. Sehr nettes Personal 👍 Hat zwar alles einen kleinen Moment gedauert aber es war auch sehr voll. Dafür war es dann aber auch ziemlich lecker.. Zum Glück hat man am Wasser immer was zu gucken.. 👍👍👍

Wir haben draußen gesessen mit Blick auf die kleine Holzbrücke am Hafen. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet (dauert also etwas) und schmeckt einfach nur phantastisch!! Sehr freundliches Personal und gerne wieder.

Sehr freundliches Personal, als Motorradfahrer durften meine Frau und ich unsere Sachen da lassen um noch weiter einen Spaziergang am Hafen zu machen. Ein sehr schönes Ziel für Motorradfahrer. Man kann direkt parken und im Schatten sitzen bei dem Wetter. Durchweg 5 von 5 DlzG

nie wieder. scholle war leider komplett geschmacksneutral wie auch die pommes. bratkartoffeln waren vorgebraten also nicht frisch (man konnte nicht ohne speck bestellen). alsterwasser war gut.
