I definitely recommend it, delicious.

The staff was rude. Ask a waitress. a question next to me. And she didn't even Answer me.

The €25 salmon pasta was overcooked, tasted of nothing, and the amount of salmon was very disappointing. The salad tasted stale, and the ready-made dressing was something you could buy at Aldi. The squid rings weren't bad, but they were small and fried in a lot of batter. The wait was long, but that might have been due to the time of day. The staff was somewhat friendly, but for €50, you can eat much better.

Highly recommended. You can sit comfortably here and enjoy the freshest fish. The service is very attentive and friendly.

Great service. The food, however, was average at best. The fish arrived completely unseasoned and had to be seasoned with the salt and pepper shakers provided. However, it was cooked to perfection. The sauces (green sauce and hollandaise) were pre-made. Everything tasted OK, but it was far too little for the price. Two adults and two children, no appetizer or dessert, and water as a drink, a total of €108.

I didn't know the name of the pasta, so I showed them a picture and ordered it, but I really recommend it!! It was about 24 euros, and the shrimp were really plump and delicious. I definitely recommend you try the salmon too ㅎㅎ

I've known this place since I was a child and regularly go there for dinner with my mother. It's a bit difficult to get a seat at lunchtime, but it's worth it. My favorite dish is the Franke fisherman's pan (3 fillets with spinach, among other things), which I order two out of three times, including last Friday, and I was once again very satisfied. Especially since my portion was somehow larger than usual, which is perhaps why I'm giving it this rating after all these years. For €22.95, the food is 5* and the people there are always super friendly. Where else in the city center can you find a pure, traditional fish restaurant? I love going to Fisch Franke...!!

We had the plaice Finkenwerder style. The skin was partly crispy, but unfortunately partly leathery. Unfortunately only a little bacon. The wine is overpriced. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The service was attentive and friendly.

When we arrived around 6:30 PM there was still plenty of room, but after that it filled up fairly quickly. Delicious grilled redfish with local green Frankfurter sauce. Service worked hard and was good. Atmosphere was good for a fish restaurant, the place adjacent to two busy roads is not the prettiest, but that doesn't bother you inside.

Great place for a break during downtown exploration. I love that they have a self serve area as well as a proper sit down restaurant. Kids menu fish was good, but was expecting something more for almost 15 euros… maybe stick to the regular menu or the specials. All in all recommend!

Ich kenne die Lokalität schon seit Kindertagen und gehe regelmäßig mit meiner Mutter dorthin zum Essen. Es ist in der Mittagszeit etwas schwierig, einen Platz zu bekommen, aber es lohnt sich. Mein Lieblingsessen ist die Franke Fischerpfanne (3 Filets mit u.a. Blattspinat), die ich in 2 von 3 Fällen bestelle, so auch am letzten Freitag und war wieder sehr zufrieden. Zumal meine Portion irgendwie größer, als sonst war, deshalb eventuell diese Bewertung nach so vielen Jahren. Gemessen an EUR 22,95 ist das Essen 5* und die Leute vor Ort immer super freundlich. Wo gibt es sonst noch in der Innenstadt ein reines und traditionelles Fischrestaurant? Ich gehe gerne zum Fisch Franke...!!

Even if the staff feels like they come from a different time, they are all very hard working and friendly. In contrast to the 'North Sea shipping chain', here you have a family feeling and the food is much tastier, the portions are good, the vegetables and other side dishes look the same and are delicious! A good traditional fish shop - which can hardly save itself from customers at lunchtime and rightly so!! Always happy ❤️

Yes, it still feels like it's Fish Franconia, but now it's the North Sea. Nevertheless, with everything as it was before and the quality of the food is higher, that's a good thing. I always go there for dinner every now and then and my friends like it too.

Part of the Nordsee company but a bit more premium. Has a fish counter and fast food style seating and also a proper restaurant section. Great fish! You can also buy stuff at the counter and have them prepare it.

An institution in Frankfurt is this fish restaurant near the cathedral on the way to the Kleinmarkthalle. Park in the cathedral car park and reserve in advance. We were still lucky. The interior is a mix of Zanzibar beach chairs and wooden tables, it feels cozy. The average age is slightly higher and the restaurant is very full on Saturdays. There is a large selection of fish grilled and cooked with few comparable competitors in Ffm. The Büsum plaice with crabs was a poem fried on the skin. The fish soup also attracted attention at the neighboring table, as did the promised dessert. We have planned both for next time. Finally been there, now more often.

Man gibt sich als Frankfurter Traditionshaus, daher besuchten wir es. Ich bestellte ein "Traditionsgericht" , Kabeljau paniert mit Remoulade und Kartoffelsalat. Es handelte sich um zwei Stücke Fisch in relativ dunkler Panade. Der Fisch war vermutlich bereits industriell fertig mit einer dicken festen Teigpanade, in Fett frittiert, danach roch es und schmeckte es, der Fisch selbst war nichtssagend. Die Remoulade war eine dicke, fette Mayonaise mit Gurke, der in Essig ausgebreitete Kartoffelsalat vermutlich auch aus dem großen Eimer. Das ist sehr traurig und von einem Fischrestaurant, das mit Frische wirbt, eine Schande. Es gibt genügend Alternativen in Frankfurt

Good restaurant for fish specialties

Tuvimos deliciosos mariscos (bacalao y platija) para el almuerzo en Fisch Ffranke servido con un clásico Frankfurter Grüne Soße (salsa verde hecha con crema agria, huevos cocidos picados y hierbas). El menú era extenso (había algo para todos) y nos encantó el strandkorb (cestas de playa) en el restaurante que le dio una sensación muy playera. El servicio fue muy atento y los precios bastante razonables!

Seafood We had delicious seafood (cod and flounder) for lunch at Fisch Ffranke served with a classic Frankfurter Grüne Soße (green sauce made with sour cream, chopped boiled eggs and herbs). The menu was extensive (there was something for everyone) and we loved the strandkorb (beach baskets) in the restaurant which gave it a very beachy feel. The service was very attentive and the prices quite reasonable!

This is a wonderful restaurant that provides fish to us in Germany, where we only eat processed meat. Everything is fresh and delicious. It's a far cry from the processed meat restaurant in front of the Frankfurt Cathedral where they kick you out if you're just a little late for your reservation! I recommend it to everyone ❤️

Had dinner at Frankfurt Fisch Franke and the food was really amazing. We had the codfish fillet breaded & fried and a three type fish meal paired with apple ciders. The service was great, the food was hot and delicious, and the restaurant is clean and quiet on a Friday night. We were served by Mr Erik, very nice, polite and not rushing us even though the kitchen was closing.

I've been to Fisch Franke three times, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is ok, the service is super nice, but I've never eaten at Fisch Franke for less than €40, I don't know what you can eat at Fisch Franke for around €20, I But I think paying €40 is justified because their food is unique. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for fish Franke.

We have been coming to this restaurant for ten years. In short - great, high quality menu, although I always order the same, oysters to start with (delicious) and Franke's fish pan for the main course - 3 types of fish with spinach and fried potatoes - simply a dream - something for the mind and soul. You have to try their Sauvignon Blanc. The trained staff is pure enjoyment - just great, great people. The chef can do something too 😉. The restaurant has a bit of a winter garden feel and is a bit bright, but has the coolest Sylt beach chairs to accommodate four people (otherwise four people have normal and very comfortable seats, many of them by the window). You can also reserve here in advance. When visiting FFM, a visit here is a must♥️

This is a special restaurant of fish dishes, which was founded about 100 years ago. Today the waiters here were very busy and we had to wait to make an order. Fish soup, smoked fillet, boiled potatoes, vegetarian salad, everything was very tasty. Prices are not very high to be honest

Fried cod with potato salad and tartar sauce, 22 euros. There was nothing homemade or freshly made. Fish was frozen and inedible. Not fried but fried. Underground. Both side dishes are industrial and straight from the bucket. You don't need a chef for this. The cleaning lady can also cook this, no, take it out of the bucket or the deep fryer. No thanks, in my opinion that is a complete rip off of the customer. I won't go there anymore. I prefer to make frozen fish fingers from Iglo at home.

Very fresh fish, food was one of if the best I've eaten during my stay in Frankfurt. The servers were very friendly, didn't rush us with orders or the bill. Definitely worth a trip here, especially if visiting the Old Town.

The food was delicious, fresh and inexpensive, and the fish under a "blanket" of mushrooms and cheese was simply outstanding. The ladies in service were friendly, polite and attentive; their recommendations helped us make the choice. My family and I had a pleasant and delicious time. Came here for the first time over 40 years ago and it's still one of Frankfurt's greats. Fresh fish, traditional preparation, delicious sides and sauces, all at reasonable prices and served up with a smile. What else could you ever want from a fresh seafood restaurant? Well worth a visit (or two, or three).

Since at least 1952 (I was 5 years old at the time) I have been visiting the fish shop "Fisch-Franke", back then on Braubachstrasse. Back then, the fried fish (pollock) with potato salad and remoulade cost 80 pfennigs (fantastic, huge pieces of fillet) and was enough for my mother and me. and if there was money left over then we took line 14 back to Fechenheim. Otherwise it was running. The Dom stop was right in front of the door. Today the restoration business here is done by wealthy pensioners, and it's hard to find a place. You can eat cheaply in the self-service area, but it needs a bit of freshening up (tables and chairs haven't been replaced for a long time). But all in all, it's still a beloved lunch spot on Fridays that I wouldn't want to miss out on. In any case, good business at all times for “Fisch-Franke” and that this restaurant stays with us, because nothing would be worse than if a fast food chain moved in there.

Excellent fish restaurant within walking distance of Dom-Römer. In addition to the pleasant, tastefully decorated restaurant hall, there is a separate deli where you can buy fish delicacies to take with you. Quite a large, colorfully designed menu. We ordered excellent fish soup, cod in mustard sauce with boiled potatoes and squid salad. The cod was ordinary and the squid salad was just greens with dressing and squid rings in a deep fried batter. We took local white wine and liked it too. What’s interesting is that almost all the restaurant’s customers were elderly Germans, in pairs and alone, many were clearly regular customers of this establishment. The food arrived quickly and the bill was quite reasonable. In addition to fish dishes, there are several meat dishes on the last page of the menu, we did not try. And so - a very good restaurant.

Wir waren, wie schon öfter, samstags in der Mittagszeit bei Fisch Franke. Und wie immer sehr zufrieden, sowohl mit dem Ober, der uns sehr gut beraten hat, als auch mit dem Essen selbst. Das einzige, was dringend zu ändern wäre, wäre der Abzug in den Damentoiletten. Und es wäre gut, wenn zwischendrin mal auf den Fussboden geschaut würde und Wasser oder Ähnliches aufgeputzt würde. Wir haben einen Anfahrtsweg von 50 km und kommen gerne wieder.

A delicious fish restaurant very close to the historic center of Frankfurt. Everything made with great care, fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. We went for the “classics” and we didn’t regret it! I went for the grilled salmon and she went for the fried cod (it's like a cod Schnitzel) very very tasty! Nice surprise! We will definitely return!

The service and cleanliness is top. The food was a flop. The side dish or rice with vegetables was dry and didn't taste like anything. The sause is a convenience product and with the salmon fillet you can tell when it has been kept warm. There is still room for improvement in terms of craftsmanship.
