Simply a great fish restaurant with a wide range of offerings.

It was a very pleasant surprise. We went in without reservation, the food was excellent and the service was impeccable.

The institution in Frankfurt for fish. Ate there again and again, both in the restaurant and in the self-service area, and never been disappointed. Of course, always worth a recommendation for fish lovers!

The fish soup is fragrant, the fried fish and the sauce are slightly sour, and the whole dish has a slightly sweet smell. The overall feeling is great!

Good restaurant for fish specialties

Seafood We had delicious seafood (cod and flounder) for lunch at Fisch Ffranke served with a classic Frankfurter Grüne Soße (green sauce made with sour cream, chopped boiled eggs and herbs). The menu was extensive (there was something for everyone) and we loved the strandkorb (beach baskets) in the restaurant which gave it a very beachy feel. The service was very attentive and the prices quite reasonable!

Ate at Fisch-Franke again after about 30 years, the food and service were great and my adult children also liked it. Definitely a very good place to have lunch after shopping.

This is a wonderful restaurant that provides fish to us in Germany, where we only eat processed meat. Everything is fresh and delicious. It's a far cry from the processed meat restaurant in front of the Frankfurt Cathedral where they kick you out if you're just a little late for your reservation! I recommend it to everyone ❤️

Had dinner at Frankfurt Fisch Franke and the food was really amazing. We had the codfish fillet breaded & fried and a three type fish meal paired with apple ciders. The service was great, the food was hot and delicious, and the restaurant is clean and quiet on a Friday night. We were served by Mr Erik, very nice, polite and not rushing us even though the kitchen was closing.

I've been to Fisch Franke three times, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is ok, the service is super nice, but I've never eaten at Fisch Franke for less than €40, I don't know what you can eat at Fisch Franke for around €20, I But I think paying €40 is justified because their food is unique. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for fish Franke.

We have been coming to this restaurant for ten years. In short - great, high quality menu, although I always order the same, oysters to start with (delicious) and Franke's fish pan for the main course - 3 types of fish with spinach and fried potatoes - simply a dream - something for the mind and soul. You have to try their Sauvignon Blanc. The trained staff is pure enjoyment - just great, great people. The chef can do something too 😉. The restaurant has a bit of a winter garden feel and is a bit bright, but has the coolest Sylt beach chairs to accommodate four people (otherwise four people have normal and very comfortable seats, many of them by the window). You can also reserve here in advance. When visiting FFM, a visit here is a must♥️

There are two sides of this equation. A fancy dine in area and the cafeteria style counter order area. Same kitchen. I tried both. Both were good. I quite enjoy the dine in service. Friendly staffs and good food.

This is a special restaurant of fish dishes, which was founded about 100 years ago. Today the waiters here were very busy and we had to wait to make an order. Fish soup, smoked fillet, boiled potatoes, vegetarian salad, everything was very tasty. Prices are not very high to be honest

Fried cod with potato salad and tartar sauce, 22 euros. There was nothing homemade or freshly made. Fish was frozen and inedible. Not fried but fried. Underground. Both side dishes are industrial and straight from the bucket. You don't need a chef for this. The cleaning lady can also cook this, no, take it out of the bucket or the deep fryer. No thanks, in my opinion that is a complete rip off of the customer. I won't go there anymore. I prefer to make frozen fish fingers from Iglo at home.

Very fresh fish, food was one of if the best I've eaten during my stay in Frankfurt. The servers were very friendly, didn't rush us with orders or the bill. Definitely worth a trip here, especially if visiting the Old Town.

The food was delicious, fresh and inexpensive, and the fish under a "blanket" of mushrooms and cheese was simply outstanding. The ladies in service were friendly, polite and attentive; their recommendations helped us make the choice. My family and I had a pleasant and delicious time. The thought of coming back soon and trying something new never leaves me alone. I saw someone order fish soup. Came here for the first time over 40 years ago and it's still one of Frankfurt's greats. Fresh fish, traditional preparation, delicious sides and sauces, all at reasonable prices and served up with a smile. What else could you ever want from a fresh seafood restaurant? Well worth a visit (or two, or three).

Since at least 1952 (I was 5 years old at the time) I have been visiting the fish shop "Fisch-Franke", back then on Braubachstrasse. Back then, the fried fish (pollock) with potato salad and remoulade cost 80 pfennigs (fantastic, huge pieces of fillet) and was enough for my mother and me. and if there was money left over then we took line 14 back to Fechenheim. Otherwise it was running. The Dom stop was right in front of the door. Today the restoration business here is done by wealthy pensioners, and it's hard to find a place. You can eat cheaply in the self-service area, but it needs a bit of freshening up (tables and chairs haven't been replaced for a long time). But all in all, it's still a beloved lunch spot on Fridays that I wouldn't want to miss out on. In any case, good business at all times for “Fisch-Franke” and that this restaurant stays with us, because nothing would be worse than if a fast food chain moved in there.

Excellent fish restaurant within walking distance of Dom-Römer. In addition to the pleasant, tastefully decorated restaurant hall, there is a separate deli where you can buy fish delicacies to take with you. Quite a large, colorfully designed menu. We ordered excellent fish soup, cod in mustard sauce with boiled potatoes and squid salad. The cod was ordinary and the squid salad was just greens with dressing and squid rings in a deep fried batter. We took local white wine and liked it too. What’s interesting is that almost all the restaurant’s customers were elderly Germans, in pairs and alone, many were clearly regular customers of this establishment. The food arrived quickly and the bill was quite reasonable. In addition to fish dishes, there are several meat dishes on the last page of the menu, we did not try. And so - a very good restaurant.

Wir waren, wie schon öfter, samstags in der Mittagszeit bei Fisch Franke. Und wie immer sehr zufrieden, sowohl mit dem Ober, der uns sehr gut beraten hat, als auch mit dem Essen selbst. Das einzige, was dringend zu ändern wäre, wäre der Abzug in den Damentoiletten. Und es wäre gut, wenn zwischendrin mal auf den Fussboden geschaut würde und Wasser oder Ähnliches aufgeputzt würde. Wir haben einen Anfahrtsweg von 50 km und kommen gerne wieder.

A delicious fish restaurant very close to the historic center of Frankfurt. Everything made with great care, fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. We went for the “classics” and we didn’t regret it! I went for the grilled salmon and she went for the fried cod (it's like a cod Schnitzel) very very tasty! Nice surprise! We will definitely return!

The service and cleanliness is top. The food was a flop. The side dish or rice with vegetables was dry and didn't taste like anything. The sause is a convenience product and with the salmon fillet you can tell when it has been kept warm. There is still room for improvement in terms of craftsmanship.

Puedes ajustar la cantidad de calorías poniendo mantequilla de hierbas y salsa en las espinacas a un lado. El servidor era eficiente y muy amable. El lugar es muy popular entre los lugareños y parece haber estado en el negocio. durante mucho tiempo. A nice, large restaurant. The ambience makes you feel like you're at the sea. We ate plaice, highly recommended. A large menu with fresh dishes. We will eat here more often. We had dinner here yesterday evening. We ate inside but there are also tables outside. This time we particularly liked the fish pan, with 3 different types of fish and fried potatoes. The service was, as always, very friendly. After a few weeks we were here again. We felt very comfortable inside in the autumnal weather. The interior is beautifully decorated with seashells, candles, fishing nets, etc. Our fish dish was again very tasty. We have never been disappointed here.

Comprehensive menu. Flexible with regard to sides. Excellent food. Top-notch service. Not the cheapest place around but you get what you pay for.

Delicious fish, with a view of Frankfurt Cathedral, at what I think are moderate prices. I tried oysters again after 26 years. The things were as big as schnitzel, but the passion wouldn't flare up. Franke's grill plate was great and the Büsumer-style plaice, with plenty of crabs, was also awesome! Any time!

Perfect place for fish I love it

I came across this place without thinking, but it’s delicious!!! I highly recommend the grilled flounder (Schollenfilet). The green sauce is also delicious🫶🏻 I sat down at the restaurant and ordered. For kiosk orders, you can eat at the table near the entrance.

The food was simply great – fresh and incredibly tasty. The store was also very clean, which is particularly important to me. The prices were very fair and absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Fisch Franke was once a top fish restaurant. The selection of fish is great, but in my opinion the quality has suffered somewhat since the takeover. My wife loves fish soup, but isn't always enthusiastic about it; The composition varies greatly, but it tastes good to very good. My plaice was well fried, but too oily. Boiled potatoes and green sauce are good as standard. I like Riesling or, if available, Pinot Gris.

Amazing place: food, atmosphere, service, service - everything is perfect! The cooks are wizards, the waiters are very nice - all the recommendations are to the point; you feel comfortable, like at home. The menu is very competent! Among other things, they even have delicious herring salads like in the Netherlands - my joy knew no bounds! We will definitely go back there when we are in Frankfurt. A wonderful restaurant serving seafood in the center of Frankfurt. It's a nice place. The waiters are polite and welcoming. Thanks. Different types of fish appetizers are available. What I said here is among the most delicious meals I have ever eaten. There are also wines specific to Frankfurt, but I didn't like it very much, it reminded me of apple cider vinegar. It's better with beer. You should definitely go and taste the food.

Un très bon restaurant de poisson au cœur de la vieille ville de Frankfurt am Main. Très large choix de poissons et de plats. Je me suis régalé avec des harengs (dans le fameux sandwich Bismarck) et de délicieux filets d'anguille fumée que la vendeuse a très gentiment fait lever par le poissonnier. On peut aussi consommer des plats chauds. Le cadre et la décoration font penser aux bords de mer. Très bonne adresse. Prix raisonnables

The grilled fish topped with mushrooms and cheese was incredibly delicious! The paper takeout containers were also a great touch, including the container for the tasty green sauce. It was perfect!

I was in Frankfurt for a few hours before my flight, and we needed to eat something. Mind you, I'm not a huge fan of fish, but I was in the mood for some simple fish and chips. I came across this place that I didn't know (I'm from another country) and it seemed more "fancy". We read the menu and decided to go inside and try, even if I was worried I wasn't gonna like any dish very much because like I said, I'm not a big fish fan. The nice waitress told me the codfish was the fish and chips, but with potato salad, so we ordered it. And omg. It was the BEST breaded fish I've ever eaten. Not oily, super tasty and dry, just perfect. The sauce and potato salad were equally delicious. Wish I could have had even more. It was an amazing surprise before my 12 hour flight home. It's one of those unforgettable foods that I know I'll mention many times to others! So worth it, would go back many times if I lived in Frankfurt!

There seems to be a reason why there are always so many local seniors. A place where you can eat seafood of good quality and at a reasonable price in Germany, where it is difficult to eat seafood. The atmosphere inside is also nice, so this is a restaurant I would recommend to my friends.

The restaurant is in a charming location in the middle of the old town. The menu offers a wide selection of fresh fish dishes. The staff was friendly, attentive and competent. The price-performance ratio is reasonable as the quality is good.

I really liked the service and food, but it would be better if the menu had pictures.

Even if, due to personal issues like those caused by gluten, lactose..., you need a kind of personalized menu, it is alright because you get what you need and the result is so good. All these are possible based on the good service and atmosphere.

Interesting restaurant with fish shop at one end in a beautiful district. The food is excellent and it's in the heart of a tourist area so expect that to be reflected in the bill.
