Fisch-Borke in Berlin

The food was delicious, the ambiance was great. However, the service was very poor. The waitress kindly took the children's food right from the start. However, it ultimately arrived after ours, which also arrived about 30 minutes after the children's meals. After 50 minutes, the waitress came and asked if she could bring fries instead of t-shirt pasta, as they were too spicy and were currently receiving a lot of complaints. However, the fries were ultimately billed at the price of the pasta (€7.90 per portion). I had the steamed carrots (see picture). I was a bit shocked by the amount—especially the quinoa—for €21.

I'd be happy to come back anytime! Extremely satisfied!

12/10 - you can't beat it! As a local, I've known this beautiful spot for a long time, and even though I've lived in other beautiful places around the world for many years, I can always say: this is an incomparably beautiful place. And that's not all: the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Yesterday, four of us were there with our dog and spontaneously got the best spot in the shop and a water bowl for our dog immediately upon arrival. The drinks were all very well mixed and stylishly served (tip: sea buckthorn and ginger spritz), the main course completely won me over with its taste (Wiener Schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms), and the stunning sunset is hard to put into words ❤️

After a hike, looking for a cozy place to relax, we happened upon the Fisch-Borke. The view over the lake, the sunset, and a glass of cool white wine – that alone was an experience! But the real highlight was the food: freshly prepared, creatively presented, and simply delicious. The tilapia on buttered lentils was a real treat – perfectly cooked and freshly prepared. I wouldn't have expected that from a day-trip restaurant. Friendly service, good conversation. All in all, a place we can only recommend. It was perfect for us, and we'll definitely be back. The special events organized by the Fisch-Borke team also sounded very appealing. Reservations are best made in good weather. It gets very busy. And be sure to bring some time.

I reserved a table through Google because I wanted to celebrate my birthday there. When I received a reminder email on the day of the event, which stated that only card payments were accepted, I immediately wanted to cancel. I didn't because I would have had to inform my guests. Then, once we were seated, we were given a drinks menu and the information that the menu was on the back and that we could take a photo with our phones. Someone then ran and took the photo and sent it to everyone via WhatsApp. So, we sat there with our phones in hand, choosing our food, and we really wanted to enjoy the evening together. Instead, everyone was staring at their phones. The operator gave us a time frame of two hours, which put additional pressure on us because we had to wait a really long time for the food. We couldn't stick to the two-hour timeframe. When asked about the food, the staff gave us false information. So I had no idea what was being served. The food wasn't exactly impressive either. All in all, we were there once, but that was it.

Beautiful location by the water, and the food is delicious. Unfortunately, the value for money is a disaster. Decadently inflated prices for small portions. Also, a food truck with no price display. With equally inflated prices upon request, which were impatiently presented to me. Apparently, they expected me to remember everything. Thus, a sad aftertaste of rip-off.

We held our small wedding reception at the Fisch-Borke. It was absolutely fantastic. Delicious food, excellent service, and an all-around outstanding day.

I ordered a salmon sandwich with so few toppings that I was very annoyed. The fries were also cold, so I had to return them and get new ones. The ambiance and view are simply beautiful. It's a great place to sit and have a drink.

I was very disappointed with the service and the food. My food was forgotten for a while. I had ordered the beetroot hummus plate. My table neighbor also had this dish. It was a nice, large portion and looked very appealing. After I complained about the forgotten food, I received a portion of beetroot hummus that was half the size, and it looked like it had been slapped onto the plate. I also received baguette slices instead of the better-quality whole-grain bread. I will never, ever go to this restaurant. I was charged the same price for it. 😕 Outrageous!

We were at Fisch-Borke again on Saturday. Since the weather wasn't exactly summery, many of the outdoor chairs remained empty. Inside, we enjoyed another delicious meal. The atmosphere is cozy, and the view of the water is beautiful.

The Borkenstrand beach is a beautiful place to sit at any time of day. Unfortunately, the man in the food truck was very rude. The grill didn't start until 12:00, which is why they only served cold food. That's fine, but it's not very hospitable when you're made to look stupid for not knowing that. The (forced) reconsideration of the food order was also quite annoying for the man in the snack bar and took far too long. He couldn't suppress an annoyed sigh. The herring sandwich didn't taste so good. The rest was okay, just quite overpriced. The ambiance is, as I said, beautiful, but it was also like that back then, when there was only soup and friendly staff. Today I almost wanted to apologize to the waiter for the inconvenience of us daring to ask for something from the place. What a pity

I had booked a table for my birthday in April. When we arrived, a young lady asked us to choose a table on the terrace. Unfortunately, everything was full. We were offered a glass of Prosecco. Everything was fine until a table became available. Drinks arrived, and we had ordered food, but unfortunately, nothing came. After an hour and a half, they realized something had gone wrong in the kitchen and we had been forgotten. The young ladies were completely overwhelmed. Sure, the weather was great, but if I don't have any staff, I can't fill all the tables. We actually went home hungry on my birthday and extremely disappointed. The place now has decent prices for a meal ranging from €20-39, but it's unable to offer decent service. Unfortunately, even the beautiful sunset doesn't help. It's just a shame! 💔Another disappointment across the board. This was preceded by the planning of a milestone birthday with 50 people, which we had registered a year in advance. We had high hopes of celebrating the birthday at this restaurant. But what we experienced was simply disrespectful. The agreed-upon appointment for the first on-site meeting was simply ignored. Several attempts to contact the event manager by phone were unsuccessful – when she finally returned, we were put off. She said she unfortunately couldn't make it today. Weeks and months passed before anyone contacted us. That's not how you treat guests, especially when it comes to special occasions. We are disappointed and sad – this should have been a beautiful moment. If you don't want to/have it, you already have it!

The ambiance is very nice, right on Müggelsee. We opted for fish sandwiches, which were okay, but the price blew us away: €6-8.50 for a food truck is quite a lot...

The staff is incredibly friendly and personable. You can truly spend hours here and just relax. :)

Everything was great, terrace view like on vacation

The location is truly beautiful, but I must admit that the service can be abysmal at times, rude and inattentive, even rude. The restaurant is upscale, and the beer garden is dominated by its location. When we arrived around 5 p.m., there were no fish sandwiches left except for two herrings, so we went inside.

We were there today around 4 p.m. ... I am extremely disappointed, the older gentleman at the reception was very nice and he runs back and forth and looks after the guests very well ... but everything else was a disaster ... we were given a table that was only quickly wiped down, there were several young women there who seemed to be working there but none of them felt responsible and were more interested in talking to each other ... we had to ask the older gentleman if we could get something to drink after waiting 15 minutes, he immediately went to the women and asked them to serve us, when we then asked about the food the waitress said I should get up and look after myself ... my glass of liquor was dirty and cracked around the rim ... unfortunately we only had a drink and left ... you would expect something different for the prices ... what a shame 😡

We had reserved outside (a beautiful summer evening) because it was busy, so was there supposed to be the next available seat outside?! We were allowed to sit inside, but apparently the outside option wasn't available, even though other guests managed to get there? Despite "organized seating"! It wasn't so bad inside, but it would have been nicer outside! Service was nice and friendly at first, but after the meal, there was no further contact, since you can also pay at the cash register?! A rather strange way of operating a restaurant?? We did tip, because the food was very good!

I was at Fisch Borke today and left after 25 minutes because the staff completely ignored us, even though it wasn't even half full at 5:30 p.m. That had nothing to do with hospitality. We certainly won't recommend Fisch Borke again, let alone visit it ourselves. There are too many better restaurants in the area, and that's a good thing.

After making a reservation in advance, we were able to choose a table. Unfortunately, after waiting 20 minutes, no staff came by. We left. What a pity.

Today we were at the Borkenstrand beach near the Fischborke for the first time in a long time and have decided never to go back. The guy behind the stand is so rude, he doesn't feel like working, and apart from the fish sandwiches and cakes that are always left unfinished, there's nothing to eat at 5:30 p.m., even though there's a menu with various dishes. A young employee then took pity on us and made us French fries. In the past, people felt very comfortable here, and the friendly staff served delicious soup, sausage, etc. Also, the prices for bottled beer are outrageous! They're higher for a snack stand than in a good restaurant. Thanks to the rude person behind the stand for ruining our evening in a beautiful setting.

The location and the view of Lake Müggelsee are fantastic, but the restaurant certainly can't do much about the lack of parking directly in front. Therefore, this is a truly great place. What doesn't add up for me is the price/performance ratio and the food. For example, I had a "snack" salad. Pasta with chanterelles, a really large portion, but the pasta was completely overcooked and watery, and the chanterelles were relatively tasteless. I also had the Kaiserschmarren, which was simply greasy and had absolutely no resemblance to a Kaiserschmarren. Since the pasta, at almost €23, and the Kaiserschmarren, at almost €15, are quite expensive, you should expect more. There are dishes that not every chef can prepare, but then it's better to leave it alone and cook the dishes you know how. (Friends had the fish soup and were very satisfied). Hence my opinion: eating out in a restaurant costs money, but this should be fine. Personally, in the future, I would just enjoy "a beer" in a deckchair and look out at Müggelsee, but I certainly won't be visiting the restaurant again.

The Fisch-Borke is a really nice place to eat. The menu is displayed on a blackboard, and you can sit outside right by the water. Unfortunately, there was no notice when I went that the advertised walnut bread with the salad was unavailable. Even with a reservation, the parking lot isn't around the corner.

We only had a drink but the food looked very good.

We had reserved a table and were immediately captivated by this beautiful place and the friendly staff. The food was excellent; we had the Arctic char, savoy cabbage goulash, and beetroot hummus. The quality and portions left nothing to be desired. We'll be back.

I've never experienced anything like this before. I was out on my e-bike on July 24, 2025, and wanted to stop there for lunch. When I politely asked inside if I could charge my battery and if I would pay for it, the lady gave me a blunt no. Even when I said we were sitting outside and just needed a power outlet, she gave me another blunt no. She was unable to do anything more. We left after that and will not be going to Fisch Borke again. A restaurant I absolutely cannot recommend for bikers.

Food (5/5): Although the name "Fisch Borke" suggests seafood, I opted for the schnitzel with potato salad – and was more than pleasantly surprised! The schnitzel was golden brown and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside. The potato salad was homemade, finely seasoned, and perfectly tempered – just as it should be. The crowning glory was the Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote: light, airy, and with a delicate sweetness, perfectly complemented by the fruity acidity of the plums. A true delight! Service (5/5): I would like to extend special praise to Emma, who looked after me during my visit. Friendly, attentive, and with a genuine smile – Emma has just the right feel for her guests. Her pleasant manner and calm, professional approach made the evening even more enjoyable for me. It's rare to feel so welcome and well-cared for as a guest. Ambience (5/5): The atmosphere at Fisch Borke is cozy and tasteful. Maritime accents create a charming, relaxed mood without seeming kitschy. The decor is well-thought-out and invites you to linger – whether alone, as a couple, or in a larger group. A wonderful view of Lake Müggelsee. Very relaxing, but the boss could still work on his manners with his employees. There's also a utensil rental shop nearby. It's worth a visit.

Very good food, and in summer, the fish sandwiches outside are highly recommended. 5 stars for the ambiance inside, but at sunset and right on the water, at least 10 stars!!!

I found it shocking that they were charging €4.50 for a cappuccino in a paper cup for self-service at the trailer.

This is about the snack cart that appears to belong to this place, judging by the restaurant's menu on the barrel in front of it. The food was disappointing. The bratwurst had been sitting on the stovetop forever and was a bit burnt, and the fish and chips were FROZEN fish nuggets...!!!! Really yuck!! How embarrassing for a fish restaurant in a fish/water-rich area. Better get one of the fish sandwiches... the sauce with the fish was good, though. And OMG, super overpriced. Otherwise, go to Müggelseefischerei for smoked fish (sandwiches); they made up for it.

The food is plentiful and good! The location is unbeatable. Unfortunately, the current menu on the website is outdated; I was looking forward to the liver, which is a shame. Another negative point is that only card payments are accepted, so we'll eat somewhere else soon that also accepts cash. Unfortunately, the almost €600 spent for 13 people will go elsewhere. Still, a recommendation!

A really nice spot and very friendly service at the Borken fish kiosk – relaxed, casual, and delicious (...and honestly, the finder of my bike computer – thanks again!!!) A place to meet, chat, and recharge your soul! We had a really cozy time and love coming back to enjoy the sunsets.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. No one brought us a menu; we borrowed one from the table next to us. It wasn't full, and yet we weren't asked what we wanted to eat and drink for 20 minutes. During that time, three waiters repeatedly walked past us. The food portion was, well, pretty small for the price. The salad in the picture is a main course. It was tasty, but because of the service and the small portion, I wouldn't go back. I'll stay in the beer garden next time.

Very friendly and attentive staff! Delicious food, especially the Kaiserschmarrn is the best we've ever had anywhere! We were lucky with the summer weather and were able to enjoy the evening right by the water on the wonderful sun terrace. There was even live music, which was simply amazing and rounded off and perfected the lovely evening. We'll definitely be back. :-)

Anyone who wants to eat fish on Müggelsee should check out this restaurant. We were there for the first time with five adults and a dog. The staff were very accommodating; the dog was given water straight away, and a ramp was built especially for the wheelchair user so he could get into the restaurant. The food is delicious and plentiful. The view of the lake is beautiful. You can enjoy everything you want, and we'll be happy to come back.

Great place with excellent food! The location is beautiful on Müggelsee, and you get the most beautiful sunsets for free! Also fantastic for parties of any kind!

At first, we sat outside by the water. It was a very nice atmosphere. I ordered an apple strudel. For just under €10, I would have expected a scoop of ice cream or cream. It was a small piece with vanilla sauce from a tetra pack. The water was served with mint leaves. I felt like I was drinking sparkling peppermint tea. When it got cooler, we sat inside. The wall was covered in spiders (3 on the right, 4 on the left), so nothing that could have just appeared yesterday. I can totally understand missing a cobweb, but it felt like sitting in a closet or basement. The restrooms weren't unpleasant, but they weren't very well-maintained either. I can say for myself that I won't go there again. And there's only one drinks menu. If you want to order something to eat, you either need good eyesight or go to the wall where the blackboard with the dishes is. Parking is 500m away.

We didn't visit the restaurant and can't rate it. But we really enjoyed the outdoor area.

As others have already written, the ambiance is great. But the service is terrible. We weren't allowed to order more at the bar and take our drinks to the lounge chairs because the staff member was overwhelmed by the sheer number. We were only allowed to sit at one table. However, they ignored us at all. At one point, we asked for a menu; we waited a total of 1.5 hours for everything. Then they didn't give us any cutlery or salt and pepper. We then organized it ourselves because, once again, no one even looked at us. And then we had to wait again for the bill. So, not a pleasant experience despite the beautiful view. Just annoying, and this is the second time now, but also the last!

We had a lovely evening here in 2024. One star deducted for the late-night closing music ;) The food was delicious and the service attentive. However, those who prefer quiet should reconsider a visit, as the Fischborke has more of a convivial beer garden feel than a fancy restaurant. And if you don't like the spiders by the water, you should either plan to leave early or avoid sitting near the window. I personally find this 'natural dynamic' fitting and atmospheric, because it's authentic. And the view of the Müggelsee sunset makes up for it, in my opinion.

It's actually a beautiful spot for watching the sunset, and sitting on the lawn with the loungers is definitely recommended. Unfortunately, the restaurant is extremely disorganized. After 45 minutes, we hadn't even had a drink and left. Since the prices are quite high, the service here must be up to scratch as well...in my opinion.

Disastrous Service We had reserved a table for six people and arrived promptly at 7:00 PM. Our table wasn't ready yet. At 7:43 PM, we received a menu upon request, and our table was wiped down, also upon request. Another 15 minutes later, we were asked what we wanted to drink. We didn't order food because the waiter didn't understand what we wanted to order from the menu and told us to wait for his colleague to take our order. Another 15 minutes later, without drinks and/or anyone to attend to us, we left the restaurant. This place is not recommended, at least not on weekends!

Despite asking when we could expect the main course, 1.5 hours after the starter, the waitress asked, "Have you eaten yet?" When we said no, hungry, the food we ordered was cold, and the fish was dry, apparently because it had been sitting in the counter too long. After we complained, they briefly warmed it up in the microwave, and so we ended up with lukewarm fried potatoes and a completely dry garfish. Without an apology, they charged us the full price, and that was my last visit.

The sunset was unbelievably beautiful. The staff was super friendly and served us promptly. We'd happily go back anytime, highly recommended.

An incredibly beautiful place to sit outside in the summer and watch the sunset in the evening. This place is well-known and well-visited, and therefore quite busy. Due to the crowds, we didn't eat in the restaurant, but instead got fries and currywurst from the sausage stand. The staff were understandably a bit annoyed by the crowd, and due to the high demand, the food took quite a while to arrive. But the ambiance is definitely unbeatable!

Review from June 22, 2025 Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit. The service was completely incompetent, especially the older German waitress who served us. Although there were several free tables outside, we weren't allowed to sit there because they were supposedly all reserved – even when we left the restaurant, these seats were still unoccupied. Instead, we had to sit inside, even though the weather was nice. In the end, we asked for the bill several times, but no one wanted to bring it to us. Finally, we left the restaurant and waited outside for a while. After a while, the older waitress came out and asked us to pay – but still without a bill. We then had to wait outside for a long time in the presence of two other men (presumably employees) before we could finally pay. It seemed as if they thought we were just leaving – a real disgrace! An absolute scandal – we certainly won't be back. Two stars just because the food was good and served quickly. Not recommended!

I think 8.50 for a roll with smoked salmon is pretty crazy. We paid 21 for two rolls and one soda.

Friendly service, good food—of course, it's a bit more expensive, as it's a seasonal restaurant. There's also self-service with fries and fish sandwiches. I miss the wedges a bit; now they only serve "regular" fries.

We've been coming to this incredible restaurant for a few years now. Delicious food, friendly and quick service, a beautiful ambiance by the water, and easy to reach. If they offer it, be sure to try the smoked fish platter!

We had cod with fried potatoes and leeks. Based on the taste and consistency of the fish, we suspected it was frozen, and after a slight hesitation, this was confirmed to us. Totally dry and unpleasant. The fried potatoes came separately in a small bowl and were pale and limp with no flavor. The leeks weren't anything special either. In my opinion, frozen fish is completely unacceptable for a self-respecting restaurant. Especially not for €19.90. I'd rather pay an extra €5 and get fresh fish somewhere else. It's better to take it off the menu and just offer what you can reasonably afford. I once had the veal liver and schnitzel there. It was good and tasty.

The seating there is truly wonderful. A holiday feeling! Unfortunately, the asparagus and potatoes were saltless, but the staff were friendly and quick.

I ordered the schnelle Teller, my family had main menu as they did not like the schnelle Teller Option. Everything took 1 hour to come to the table from ordering. What made it worse was we were there from opening and others got food ahead of us. When the plate came, it was wrong, they announced it was pasta, aioli and vegetables which was fine but they brought me fish with vegetables. They said they checked as the menu changed or they made a mistake but they didn't. It's a shame as I've been before and it's generally nice because of the nice setting. Stroganoff was also arguably vegetarian as it had little meat. two stars for the location...

A wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset in the evening with friendly people and a snack and a drink. The beach serves delicious fish sandwiches and a good selection of drinks. On our first trip there, there was even an entertainer providing musical accompaniment. Even though it wasn't my preferred style of music, it contributed to a good overall atmosphere. We were also satisfied with the food and drinks on our second visit. Easy to reach as a cyclist, but as a driver, I wasn't able to find a parking space nearby. But we'd be happy to come back.

The location on Müggelsee is very beautiful, and the interior ambiance is rustic but cozy. We were there around lunchtime on Whitsun and waited over an hour for our food. Maybe because of Whitsun, but it wasn't fully booked. Who knows... The food was okay, veal schnitzel with fried potatoes, which I don't think is good, but I finished it all.

Schnitzel was way too fatty, risotto wasn't risotto, birthday cake had to be paid for by myself.

A true highlight – more than just a restaurant visit! What an experience! We were here for the very first time today, and I'll be honest: I've rarely been so positively surprised. From the very first moment, this visit felt like a little break from everyday life. A place where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. And then the service… my heart! Such warmth, such genuine friendliness, and attentiveness are unfortunately rare these days. Every smile was genuine – you can just feel that the people working here love what they do. And the food? I haven't had such a fantastic meal in a long time! Every dish was a poem, with fresh ingredients, expertly prepared to perfection, and with so much flavor that I would have loved to applaud the table. 5 out of 5 points isn't enough. A very nice location right on Müggelsee. Plenty of seating, very friendly service, and delicious food and drinks. I always enjoy coming here, whether with friends on the weekend or to enjoy the sunset by the water after work. Occasionally, there's live music, which makes the whole atmosphere even more enjoyable.

I regularly go to Fisch Borke with friends. Mainly on weekends, but sometimes during the week as well. I really like the atmosphere, and the place is a great place to relax.

A heavenly treat by the water – Restaurant Fisch-Borke The Fisch-Borke restaurant is undoubtedly a culinary gem that indulges both the palate and the soul. From the first encounter to the last bite, it leaves a lasting impression. The quality of the food is simply exceptional. Rarely does one experience such perfection in preparation and garnish. We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary in the "Oberstübchen" (upper room) at the Fisch-Borke. The room, with its view of Lake Müggelsee, is very pretty. The waitresses were super friendly and helpful, and everyone enjoyed the food. From the Oberstübchen terrace, we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset to round off the successful evening.

A great place to go for a meal or to enjoy a cold beer while gazing over Müggelsee. Very good food and friendly service.

I had actually made a reservation for 30 people in the beer garden. Unfortunately, when we arrived, it started to rain heavily and it was very windy. The wait staff was super friendly and, despite the immense group size, prepared a table for us in the back of the restaurant. So we stayed dry, and everyone was happy. The service was incredibly fast and extremely friendly. I can't say much about the food, as we mostly only had drinks. But the Borke beer was delicious! Thanks to the entire Fisch-Borke team for their absolutely spontaneous and fantastic performance! You certainly didn't have it easy with us 😅🤭😘
