10/10 increible place. Good food, good waiters and perfect food.

We were there on Saturday evening for a closed event. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was super cozy. Gladly again.

Meine Kollegeinnen, Kollegen und ich waren gestern Abend nach der Arbeit zum Abendessen im Farmer & Lou. Ein super schönes Lokal mit fantastischen Ambiente, herzlichen und aufmerksamen Personal / Inhabern, köstlichen Essen und großartigem Kaffe :) es ist richtig einladend dort, schöne Stunden in ruhiger Atmosphäre zu verbringen.

I celebrated my birthday at Farmer and Lou and it was definitely the right decision. Luisa and her team took great care of all guests and the food was great too. I also received exclusively positive feedback from the guests. Luisa and her team are excellently organized and made the entire planning process as easy as possible for me. For me it was a carefree all-round package. You simply notice Luisa's experience and warmth. I can only recommend everyone to hold their celebration here! 😊

We were there again recently and were really impressed. Service was very warm and attentive, so you immediately feel at home. The food was delicious, you can tell that the food is cooked here with love. Relaxed atmosphere and the people there are just nice.

Talents have been found here! A radiant hostess, a charming host, a professional in the kitchen, the Farmer & Lou team has passion! What is created here in such a small space is hospitality in the best sense of the word, the service is fast, there is no hip, chichi cuisine on the plates, but fresh, down-to-earth delicacies, the changing weekly menu had something to offer for all of us. The only thing to complain about is that we would love to have you during the day too! The nice conversation with the table next door should also be mentioned, we felt very comfortable with you.

A very nice little restaurant with a great ambience. The spaghetti carbonara was very good and prepared in the original Italian way. The service was very attentive and courteous. So, in my opinion, it deserves 5 out of 5 stars in all areas.

A super nice little restaurant/bistro. With delicious dishes, good wines and a great atmosphere, you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. (Reservation recommended. When I arrived, it looks quite empty. They asked me if I had a reservation. They managed to give me a table, but asked me if I could finish in an hour.) The location is very close to Ostbahnhof. The neighbourhood looks fancy. The outdoor gives a mixed vibe, a bit like beer garden on one side and hipster style on the other. I had gnocchi. It was amazing. Adding the cheese on top brings out the flavour. The food is fresh. I had lemonade which was refreshing for heavy taste. The summer is vibing. Reviewed in July 2024

Very tasty food and warm service - we would love to come back!

We went to the Christmas party with 16 people. Everything is good and perfect.

We had our Masters of Marketing Christmas party at Farmer Lou Restaurant and it was a complete success! The restaurant is incredibly cozy, with great decoration and mood lighting that creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was exceptionally good – fast, attentive and super friendly. It was impressive how the employees kept an eye on everything. Drinks came faster than you could order! The 3 course meal was fantastic! What was particularly impressive was that the chef prepared everything in the small kitchen for 30 people at the same time - the dishes came to the table warm and almost at the same time. Everything was fresh, tasty and perfectly prepared. We were able to choose our menu in advance and there was something for everyone: from meat dishes to vegan options. The communication and preparations in advance went flawlessly and were very personal. Luisa, the owner, listened to all of our wishes and conjured up an individual menu in consultation with us. Another highlight was the personal touch: we were welcomed outside with mulled wine, and later we were even allowed to turn on music and dance - an all-round successful evening! The price-performance ratio is great, and we would recommend Farmer Lou for private parties with a closed group as well as for a nice evening for two or with friends. A big thank you to the owner Luisa from Farmer Lou and her exceptionally great team for the great evening - we will definitely be back!

Very nice location, of course there are hospitable people here who cook and take care of you. Very good, tasty food and drinks made from high quality ingredients, at reasonable prices, very friendly and hard-working service, pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Because there are few places, reservation is required.

The Farmer&Lou is special and highly recommended. Luisa&Noel exude a charm and warmth that makes everyone feel welcome. The food tastes very good and the selection of drinks is really fine. Favorite store!!

I have already been here twice and was very positively surprised, a little pearl in Haidhausen. Small but incredibly comfortable. Very personal contact, even when making a reservation. I was impressed by the quality of the food and service. Clear recommendation.

Deliciosa comida en un pequeño y acogedor restaurante. Servicio muy amable. Siempre hay más en oferta que lo que está escrito en la tarjeta. Entre otras cosas, comimos una cálida ensalada de invierno con queso de cabra, deliciosos tortellones hechos a mano con relleno de calabaza y una muy delicada Torta della Nonna de postre. Si quieres un aperitivo sin alcohol, solo pídelo. El que tenía jengibre y pepino era excelente. El lugar estaba totalmente reservado y recomendaría encarecidamente hacer una reserva con antelación.

The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff is super friendly. Also what is really important for me is that they try to be flexible if they can and give you a table without booking way in advance which is often the problem with most of the restaurants in Munich

I was at Farmer & Lou for the first time the day before yesterday and I was more than thrilled!! What more could you want: great, personal, bright, fast and lovely service with delicious food, a large selection and a wonderful ambience. Definitely found my new favorite restaurant and will definitely come back :) Great recommendation!!

Friendly staff and delicious drinks.

A absolute gem and a must visit! This cozy spot is very approachable with both classic and inventive dishes; as well as a weekly menu of cocktails and special plates. While the food is exceptional—the service is even better! The two servers made our group feel at home with personalized service catered to our needs. One literally sat down with us to help translate the menu for English speakers, chose excellent wines and also to recommend dishes to flavor and dietary restrictions. Farmer And Lou is a great restaurant for locals ( if I lived in Munich this would easily be my neighborhood go to!) and visitors alike!

I found the place in a search for another one and gave it a shot. Delicious salad, the pasta was perfect and the mini chocolate cake with ice cream and red fruits was very rich in flavor. Very generous portions of everything btw. And the staff was very friendly and the other clients around as well.

This is a tiny tiny place with excellent service and great food! - they do have a small outdoor space; so just mark your expectations. If you are up for cocktails, they do have a slew of choices and probably can make anything. Service was fast even though the r place was packed when we arrived. Food was even quick to be served! Kudos to the chef. Singular I think! - the kitchen looked super tiny! I had their fish special and it was excellent! For such a small place they do seem to have lots of specials… great! Come and be amazed will be my recommendation.

This is the best restaurant in munich, in my opinion. The owners are both incredibly sweet and always super welcoming. The food is delicious, especially the desserts are superb and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. 10/10, would recommend!

My absolute favorite place :) No matter whether it's for a birthday or a spontaneous meal, Luisa always finds the perfect place for a successful evening. The food is clearly always excellent. My favorite is and remains the goat cheese salad and then either the delicious tiramisu or the lukewarm chocolate soufflé. I'll definitely come back very often.

We love Farmer & Lou! Luisa and Noel and the whole team do a great job. The food is always delicious - both the classics from the standard menu and the meals from the weekly menu. Our son always claims that they have the best spaghetti Bolognese🤩 Oh yes, not only the food, we also like the drinks there.

The Famer and Lou impresses not only with its particularly delicious cuisine, but also and above all with the warmth of the two operators. Yesterday, after a telephone request, we were able to get space for two people at a larger table at short notice. This then turned out to be a high table with bar stools, which in terms of inconvenience would do credit to any fast food restaurant that focuses on high customer throughput. The table was also squeezed into a 3m narrow passageway between the toilet and kitchen doors. We wanted to leave again, but the landlady organized a table for two right next to the door at short notice, whose constant opening and the associated supply of cold air ensured that we didn't feel really comfortable. If the space wasn't full of customers like a school bus, it might otherwise be nice. The service was excellent and super friendly! I was a little disappointed with the tasty food. The grilled fish duo came very, very quickly and suggests that it was kept warm and not freshly prepared. I also don't quite understand how you can pour a creamy sauce over grilled fish. In my case, it was probably more to cover up the fact that the fish was warmed up and dried out. It wasn't mine. Too bad for the evening! I think the very nice innkeepers should seek a better balance between maximizing sales and customer well-being. Addendum: The landlady called me today and expressed her regret that we didn't like it so much. She explained that due to the short notice of the reservation there was no better table available and invited us to give her a second chance on a next visit. I find this commitment really remarkable and I don't take it for granted. That's why one star is high and we'd love to visit again when we're back in Munich.

A small, cosy restaurant a few minutes away from Ostbahnhof. The atmosphere is so cosy, one feels as if they were having dinner in their living room. Very delicious food and great service by the owners. They also took care of asking if everything was ok often and really cared for their guests to have a good time. There are only a 5-6 small tables so I recommend calling for a reservation beforehand.

mochten uns unsere Bauern heute auch am Odeonsplatz die Herzen erwärmen : es war saukalt in Minga. Da freut man sich auf eine erwärmende Einkehr doch die Raumtemperatur war im kleinen Gastraum doch sehr habeckisch. Die charmante Dame der Bedienung und die Leistung des Kochs verdienen beide 5 tripadvosorPunkte : das grünrote Temperaturambiente verunmöglicht jedoch diese auch anzutippen : dazu fühlt man sich nicht wohlig : so wie sich's eigentlich gehört.

Incredibly good shop! You immediately feel at home! Incredibly loving and driven with passion! Food exceptionally good (pimiento sauce with the prawns out of this world) and great friendly staff! The operator and the nice lady from Holland should be mentioned here in particular!! If it were my shop I would design the wine list a little differently, but that is purely subjective! Un local con encanto y con una atención muy amable para disfrutar de una comida agradable en Munich cerca de la estación Ostbahnhof. Local pequeño con una carta interesante con diferentes opciones como sopas, pasta, carne o pescado. Precios justos y atención de primera. Pedí gambas con salsa piri-piri y estaban muy buenas. No es suficiente para cenar si tienes hambre.

Wir sind spontan abends mit sieben Leuten eingefallen. Schon am Telefon super freundliches Personal. Das Essen war hervorragend. Saisonale Gerichte. Raffiniert und trotzdem nicht abgehoben. Wir waren wirklich begeistert. Schönes kleines Restaurant. Liebevoll betrieben.

We arrived late into Munich and searched for a place to grab a bite. I could not wait until leaving the restaurant to leave this review! The SPAGHETTI AGLIO É OGLIO was amazing (and it's been a quest of mind to try this dish from various places). Noel was very kind and accommodating when he did not have to be at all. He went above and beyond! I would not hesitate to try this place and wish we were here longer so we could eat here again and try some of their other dishes. Danke Noel!

Wow! this is what I called a fantastic experience. Coming from Miami, Florida where we have a melting pot of cultural foods, this restaurant by far exceeded our expectations. We came here after doing so much research and great reviews online that we couldn't leave without trying it. We felt welcomed and very relaxed. The owners are super beautiful and humble people that make you feel like family. We followed their recommendation based on our preference and they were right on point. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den ausgezeichneten Service, eine unglaublich freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war gut, mir persönlich war das Dressing des Salats etwas zu salzig. Die Preise sind typische Münchner Gastronomiepreise. Der Raum ist recht klein, daher stehen die Tische recht nah beieinander. Die Einrichtung ist ansprechend. Ich werde bestimmt noch einmal kommen.

Wunderschönes kleines Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Von vegetarischen Gerichten bis hin zu Fleischspezialitäten ist für jeden etwas zu finden - die Speisen und auch Getränke sind sehr schön angerichtet. Der Service sowie die Besitzer zuvorkommend, sympathisch und sehr freundlich - man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Kämen wir aus München wäre dies sicherlich unser "Stammlokal".

Ich hatte ein paar wundervolle Stunden in dieser gemütlichen Wohlfühloase. Und das lag nicht nur an meiner bezaubernden Begleitung. Das Ambiente ist sehr außergewöhnlich eindrucksvoll dekoriert. Dieses Lokal hat mich absolut begeistert! Wir hatten schon woanders gegessen und waren nur für einen Drink und Nachtisch dort. Der Cheesecake war unfassbar frisch, fluffig und lecker 😍 Und der Passion Spritz war auch total lecker. Zusätzlich macht die Nachbarschaftliche Atmosphäre und das wahnsinnig sympathische Personal (potentiell auch die Besitzer? 😉) dieses Lokal sehr besonders. Ein süßer, kleiner aber feiner Laden, in dem man auch als „Fremde“ herzlichst empfangen und umsorgt wird. Das Essen und Trinken waren auch köstlich, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr in Ordnung. Wir lieben diesen Laden. Die Fleischgerichte sind toll, der Koch sehr herzlich, die super nette freundliche Wirtin auch. Können wir allen wärmstens zu empfehlen. Nicht nur wegen der Küche, sondern auch wegen einzigartigen Charme. Ich könnte die Karte rauf und runter essen so lecker ist alles. Bester Laden in der Breisacher Straße!

Super süßes Lokal, Service war super nett und die hausgemachte Limonade ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir sind leider sehr spät gekommen so dass ich nichts zum Essen sagen kann, da die Küche um 22 Uhr schließt, aber ich werde sicher bald wiederkommen und die Gerichte testen :)

Zum Mittagessen bei Farmer & Lou Tagesgericht waren am 2.5. "Tagliatelle mit Babyspinat und Tomaten und Gorgonzola". Die Tagliatelle waren gut, die Sahnesauce seeeehr reichlich, der Gorgonzola nur als ein Hauch auszumachen (ok, ist ne Stilfrage). Baby-Blattspinat und Tomate waren da. Auf frische Tomaten würde ich außerhalb der "Tomatenzeit" eher verzichten. + An der Interpretation dieses Rezeptes/Rafinesse in der Ausführung würde ich noch etwas arbeiten. Die Karte enthielt eher Klassiker, d.h. kaum attraktive Angebote ohne Fleisch/Fisch und ohne Sahne. Klimabewußte Esser dürfen sich - wie so oft - mit Salat klein/groß oder Penne Arrabiata begnügen. :-/ Da wünsche ich mir doch etwas mehr Kreativität, damit täglich praktizierter Klimaschutz auch auf Euren Tellern stattfindet und die Mundwinkel langfristig nach oben gehen. Ich komme wieder und teste weiter. Euer Ambiente gefällt mir wirklich gut.

Eine Oase der Erholung - nicht zuletzt, weil die Speisen lecker, wunderbar angerichtet und die Besitzer so nette Menschen sind.
