Falscher Hase in Dresden

It's a place that offers vegan food. The food was exquisite. We started with a kebab, my girlfriend ordered a very good soup, I ordered a soy burger, and we both had lemonade. We had absolutely no complaints about the food. We also had different desserts, and these were excellent as well. We arrived without a reservation, but the manager very kindly told us we could sit wherever we found a spot and was very prompt in taking our order and checking on us. One of the best places I've been to in Dresden.

I've been here a few times, and I'm always impressed. I celebrated my birthday here with a small group and was impressed by the vegan nut roast, the burgers (especially for those with a big appetite!) with peanut mayo, and my guest also really enjoyed the salad. It's a small place, so it's best to make a reservation. We only got a seat thanks to the kindness of other guests (they sat down at a small table for us, saving our day). Thanks for the pleasant stay, and see you next time. ☺️

My girlfriend generally thought the food was good. The atmosphere though was a bit odd, with several staff members sitting out on the street front smoking when we entered, and many far-left/antifa stickers and slogans plastered all over the bathrooms. It would be better without that. Servers were nice. Quiet courtyard at the back of the restaurant.

I was here for the first time yesterday, and I have to say I'm thrilled! Yes, it was packed, yes, the ladies were stressed... but they were always 1000% friendly and always present! We sat outside because it was quieter and waited there (with advance warning 😉) patiently for about an hour with a delicious drink and candlelight. The food absolutely blew my mind! Not only was it beautifully presented, but it was also incredibly delicious, and after 6 years, it showed me again what vegan can do. WOW! ❤️

We arrived on Friday evening without a reservation, were seated spontaneously, and chose potato soup and vegan meatloaf with mashed potatoes and peas and carrots. Everything was quite good, and it's nice that there are such vegan options (I'll probably never make vegan meatloaf at home), but a certain "finesse" wouldn't have hurt the dishes: The tofu in the potato soup would have been even better fried, the mashed potatoes could have used a bit more fat (or butter flavor), and the vegetables were rather dry. Apart from the meatloaf and the gravy, everything was very lightly seasoned, but salt and pepper were available at the counter. Overall, a visit here is still worthwhile and recommended. The staff was also very friendly.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Dresden. The place is quite small, but that's only a minor inconvenience when it's really busy. The staff is super friendly, and the food is incredibly good.

Everything is top-notch! This hip spot is located in the Neustadt district, and anyone who enters through the somewhat shabby-looking exterior is rewarded with a lovely beer garden and interior. I had the tofu teriyaki and was absolutely thrilled with the amazing seasoning and the combination of rice noodles, tofu, and fennel and zucchini. The staff was also very friendly, and I felt very welcome. I'd love to come back!

Our meals were so delicious! We ordered the Soljanka (a soup) and the Nuss-beraten (“meat” loaf) and every single bite was so tasty! The waiter was super friendly and since the weather was nice, we also sat outside in the courtyard. Really enjoyed our dinner!

We stopped in on a Sunday night and it was pretty cold out and very busy and initially sat outside, but our hostess, Anna, came outside and said she found a way for us to sit inside. The food was excellent and we were super appreciative that we were able to sit inside in the warmth. Great restaurant with great vegan food and good people!

This vegan restaurant knows how to offer traditional and modern dishes, and it absolutely hit our taste buds. Highlights include the solyanka, the nut roast, and the farmer's breakfast. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and relaxed. The outdoor seating areas in the courtyard or in front of the restaurant are a definite plus. The restaurant is authentic and doesn't try to emulate any fancy trend. Stay as you are. From now on, you will be a permanent fixture on our visits to Dresden. A reservation is highly recommended.

Secret spot for a winter date in Neustadt. Neither low-cost, nor very posh, and incredibly cozy, even if it might not look like that from the outside. Great food, nice service. And if things go really bad (or really good?), the Heartbreak bar is right next door. 😜

For me, the False Hase is a typical representative of the Neustadt localities. The furnishings are rather alternative and functional, a bit rustic and thrown together, but still cute. Personally, I really like this charm. The places are very manageable, so you should definitely reserve in advance. The service was very good, we didn't have to wait long and we were well advised. Hats off to one person rocking the place alone on a weekend night! And now about the food: I was overwhelmed! I've never eaten vegan food so good outside of home. The ingredients were fresh, tasty, clearly identifiable and perfectly prepared. Classic German cuisine on a completely different level! Thank you for that! We tried three dishes and they were all incredibly tasty, there was nothing to complain about. The only thing that wasn't great about the evening was the spontaneous appearance of the street musicians, who were unpleasantly noticeable due to their loudness and demands for money.

WHAT AN INSANE VALUE FOR PRICE IS THIS?! I order a "large" burger for €14.40 (as of February 9, 2025) and get a flatbread that's easily 15cm in diameter and filled to bursting. Super delicious on top of that. The store looks very authentic and I wish everyone there the best!

What a delight of a vegan restaurant, highly recommend the burgers. We tried both the Sojasteak and the tomatenseitan patty. A small sized burger was already a very adequate, so think before you spring for the larger size burger. The house made mayonnaise was definitely the highlight of the burgers. I also really liked the added grilled onions, would recommend. What's more, the coleslaw that came with the burger is possibly the best I've had in Europe so far! Loved it. Courteous service, reasonable prices. Reservation recommended!

I had the solyanka. Taste OK. Middle price segment. Not super cheap or too expensive. There are a few tables and the decoration also fits in with the alternative style of the new town.

I recently went to False Hasen and had the nut roast - absolutely delicious! The combination with beans and potatoes was perfect, and the portion was just right. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and the restaurant is really a great place for vegan food lovers. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. I'd love to come back!

Top shop, veteran vegan scene in Dresden. Everything tastes very tasty. Personally, I wish I could go back to the days when the burgers were already put together, it was somehow more fun - you felt cared for, even if you spent the money on it. You could still have extra requests. But as I said, everything was top top top, Katerbrot was a special highlight!

The service was very friendly, we luckily got a seat, apparently it makes sense to reserve, even on an early Monday evening. The food was very tasty and the portions were decent. The starter plate was particularly great!

I was just there for the second time and I have to say that this time it really blew me away. The staff is incredibly friendly and the backyard is really cozy and has a cool, natural design. There's a really relaxed atmosphere and the food is really delicious - and I don't actually like German cuisine. Don't be put off by the slightly higher prices of the dishes - the portions are huge and can be taken away if necessary. A big recommendation!

Great service and food. Came here with a friend just when they were about to close. The service was so friendly that they let us to do a last-minute take away order and then actually allowed us to eat on the spot while the crew wrapped up their shift. The burgers were huge - and veryyyy delicious! Definitely a place I would come back to when in Dresden.

We were in Dresden for a weekend trip and wanted to eat vegan. Although I'm not vegan, I would eat here again and again when I'm in Dresden. We had the large starter plate for 2 people and a burger with soy schnitzel or red lentil patty as the main course. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was also very cozy. Tolles veganes Essen mit saisonaler Tageskarte. Im Hinterhof kann man sehr schön unter einem alten Baum sitzen. Es gibt auch eine große Getränkeauswahl (auch alkoholfrei). Der Service war nett und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist alternativ.

We had a mixed experience here. I enjoyed the food, but my girlfriend found hers rather bland and tasteless. We were seated in the back by the register where it was a bit cold and drafty. The portions were quite big for the price. The waitress was friendly, but there was quite a bit of a wait (the place was full at the time though).

I wasn't impressed with the food, the burgers are ok, but I find it strange that you automatically pay extra for any other sauce. The service was nice. I found the dish of the day that a friend had downright disgusting. There are better options in the Neustadt.

Exactly my thing. A New Town pub, as you would imagine, but as a mini restaurant with really nice service and delicious food. Particularly noteworthy is the clear menu and the range of drinks that go beyond the Radeberger/Erdinger mainstream. We will be back.

I was traveling with a vegan and tried some dishes out of politeness. Unfortunately I was disappointed, no alternative to "normal" restaurants. The gratinated "cheese" is a slimy mass, the solyanka filling is hardly edible. But the store was always full and seemed to be well received by the target audience...😀

We were able to spontaneously get a spot for an hour today (everything was reserved) and we would definitely come back! Great service, great selection of music and the food was really great! <3 It tasted fantastic and really filled us up. We had the farmer's breakfast and the pasta with soy-vegetable Bolognese (daily menu) :)

The False Hase is one of the best vegan restaurants in the city (and beyond) and regularly delights my non-vegan friends and family members! The food is delicious, both the permanent menu and the daily changing offers. The portions are huge, so I regularly have problems walking home afterwards. 😁 The pike flair fits wonderfully, not too fancy, but cozy and focused on good cuisine!

We had a delicious meal at the False Hasen. The menu, including daily specials, is varied and appealing. I can only recommend the hangover bread and the pasta with broccoli-cashew-date pesto!

We were in Dresden for a weekend trip and wanted to eat vegan. Personally, I'm not vegan and am rather skeptical about restaurants without animal products, but I was completely convinced. We ordered everything from the menu all over the place. For starters we ordered a mixed starter plate and solyanka, the bruschetta and rice thalers were to rave about. The solyanka was also very tasty. For the main course we had chestnut pasta, Saitan slices, kale stew soup, nut roast and a wrap; everything was extremely tasty and decent portions. For dessert there was mousse au chocolat, very creamy and tasty – nothing to complain about. All in all, a very good vegan restaurant, my expectations were far exceeded: 5/5 stars 🌟

Sehr freundliches und gemütliches Lokal! Das Essen war hervorragend: sehr gut abgestimmt und gewürzt. Falls wir je wieder nach Dresden kommen, besuchen wir es definitiv wieder.

Großartiges Essen! Vor allem durch den Salat und die Soßen hat man gemerkt, wie köstlich alles abgestimmt ist. Auch das Tomatenseitanlaibchen war perfekt. Das einzige Manko war der penetrante Küchendunst, der sich auch in der Kleidung festsetzt.

Ganz lecker! Würde mir empfohlen und ich habe es sehr genossen. Die Mousse au Chocolat ist legendär.
