Yes, but with some restrictions. It is, or rather was, very crowded and hectic during our visit. A carnival gathering. There's a great atmosphere and good cheer, so the service is busy. So, we don't know what it's like on "normal" Saturdays!

Quaint restaurant right on the Rhine. Next door is the ferry to Zons. A very nice outdoor area, plenty of seating for eating and lounge chairs for relaxing. A very large parking lot. The food is standard but good and plentiful. The wait time is very short. The staff is friendly and very attentive, ensuring that empty glasses don't sit around for long.

We've eaten here several times now. Nothing extravagant, but the dishes are delicious. They include a delicious Zwickl (a kind of beer) to cool you down. In summer, the tables are very popular, so you sometimes have to be lucky to get a spot. I can recommend it to anyone who passes by after a walk along the water.

We made a lovely stop here on our bike tour and enjoyed a delicious shandy in beautiful folding lounge chairs. Everything was super relaxed here. We felt very comfortable and were able to enjoy a lovely short break.

All (small) special requests were acknowledged with an affirmative smile, but were consistently ignored. That's something you have to get used to.

Today we had lunch at Extratour with 8 people, including two children, after prior reservation. The service was quick, very friendly and attentive! There was a lovely extra for our little one. The food was great value for money - for all the dishes we ordered! The shop was well filled, you might have to wait a few minutes without a reservation, but there was always movement. Clear recommendation 👍🏻

Nice service even when stressed in the always busy excursion restaurant. You can get there by car, bike and ferry from Zons. An experience for children too.

Simple, cheap, ordinary village pub!

A typical “old” excursion restaurant on the Urdenbacher Kämpe, a beautiful nature reserve on the Rhine. Eating something to eat after walking there is highly recommended. The team is very friendly and attentive. If the restaurant is full, it may take a little longer in the kitchen. But this time can be bridged well. Drinks arrived very quickly. The food was delicious and plentiful. Clear recommendation.

Very nice and rustic, the food was delicious, unfortunately a bit expensive for the simple kitchen. But that's unfortunately common these days. That's why you should still stop here, it's individual and you'll find something for every taste.

A good place to take a break after a hike through the Kämpen. Due to time constraints there was only enough for a cappuccino.

When the weather is nice, it's a dream destination not just for hikers in the Urdenbacher Kämpe. The landlady alone, with her great care and promptness, guarantees a service where you can have a good time and feel comfortable. The food is delicately seasoned, inexpensive and the ingredients are of high quality. Of the drinks, we recommend the drinking chocolate with icing and of course the home-baked cheesecake. - After we received excellent service there twice on September 17th, 2024 and also received a free tip for the guide through the battles, we will come back more often. The next date for Thanksgiving on October 6th, 2024 with the big parade and pushcart race has already been booked. Andreas Achenbach and Inge

Delicious food, nice beer garden

We have been to Extratour many times, the food has always been good and never disappointed. However, the portions have become a little smaller.

Everything is really right here The food was very tasty, the service was extremely friendly. The ambience is simple but still very pleasant.

Wir haben uns mit Freunden zu „Südtirol & Friends“ verabredet. Getränke- und Speisenbestellung ging schnell. Die Marillenknödel waren leider nicht mit Aprikosen (Marillen), sondern nur mit Marmelade gefüllt. Am Südtiroler Wurdtsalat fehlte Flüssigkeit (Essig mit Gutkenwasser). Essig wurde auf Nachfrage nachgereicht. Leider fehlte eine passende musikalische Untermalung, eine Hüttrngaudi. Zum Karibischen Abend gab es ja auch eine Liveband. Außer Almdudler und einem Degestif gab es keine Getränke, wie man sie sonst aus Südtirol kennt, schade. Kann man besser machen.

I am very satisfied with this restaurant. I especially think the beer garden is very nice. The dishes are excellent and you can always find something. The staff is very friendly. There are enough parking spaces available. The location is also good, because the path to the Rheinauen begins opposite.

Knödel mit Pfifferlingen in Rahmsauce.Die Rahmsauce war eine mit vieeel Saucenbinder verdickte Pampe.ein bisschen "Rahm/Sahne war auch dabei vielleicht 10%und.zuviel Pfeffer bei allem .Das Highlight sollten wohl die Parmesanstreusel über der Pampe sein.Der absolute Stilbruch .Vom "Guten Kochen hat man hier wohl keine Ahnung .Das war mein erster und letzter Besuch .

Good food and service at a fair price

Service was good, food was OK. The schnitzel was really good, but the pepper sauce wasn't at all. Unfortunately, hunter's sauce wasn't good either, fresh mushrooms were great. So sauces are really not that great.

The three of us went to the barbecue at Extratour. The food was great, whether burgers or spare ribs. The service is first class. We had a great evening and are already looking forward to the Caribbean evening. Always happy to come and it stays that way :-)

Beautiful location with a beer garden for relaxed eating and drinking on the Urdenbacher Altrhein. Casual atmosphere, lots of cyclists, hikers and dog owners among the guests. The range of food and drinks is varied and the quality and preparation are very good. Therefore, a slightly longer wait for food when the weather is nice. Even when busy, the service is attentive and hospitable.

With one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the south of Düsseldorf! Everything is just right here. Food very tasty, drinks cold and service super friendly! You feel comfortable here. Thank you for a successful trip on Whit Monday 👍🏼

Very slow to serve good but expensive food.

What a pity. My family visiting from the USA was in the mood for home-style German cuisine today. So the six of us went on the extra tour. So far so good. After dinner, my uncle, who celebrated his 79th birthday with us on the special tour today, realized that he had forgotten his cigarettes. I went back to get them. The friendly waiter looked for the box behind the counter. Without success. So he asked in the kitchen. There he found what he was looking for and gave me the open box, which still contained about half as many cigarettes as before dinner. The box was purchased just before dinner. That disappointed me very much and noticeably dampened the mood on what was otherwise a lovely evening. What a pity.

Food is okay, portions relatively small - sufficient. We waited quite a long time on the holiday (but we were informed of this beforehand). I can't recommend the cake. Overall, a typical excursion restaurant.

Significantly too few staff. None of the few staff feel responsible for taking an order. Boss behaves very unfriendly. Food is expensive and not very tasty.

Absolutely unfriendly and rude staff. The boss lives it by example, so once again you can see that the fish stinks at the head.

We went for a walk along the Rhine and then took the Extratour. Nice little menu, reasonable prices, super friendly service, the food arrived at the table quickly and tasty. I, a philistine, had a schnitzel with fries and salad, my wife had a dumpling duet, without singing, but with champion cream sauce. So absolutely okay. A selection of drinks, daily specials and a selection of wines complete the offer. So it's worth it. Moving in, the street that leads directly past the outside lighting is busy. As a car fan, you also get to see something. Just take a look and test it!

Very nice service, really great service, relaxed and Rhenish. But.....simple and commercial like many locations. Nothing special. Nice to sit for in between, I would eat somewhere else.

I always eat the tapas there, but my colleagues also enjoyed it. Nice beer garden atmosphere with friendly service. Unfortunately it's right on the street, but it's fine. After many Rhine tours, return home standard.

Been there several times and the food was always excellent. The last time the grill plate was a bit poor, I know it was more generous. Tip: The starter soup.

The apple strudel was very tasty, served hot and with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately the cheese spaetzle were a bit burnt and I thought there was a little bit of cheese for cheese spaetzle.
