Euro Döner in Hamburg

Recently, my wife told me she had bought a kebab here. While she was taking her order, she was verbally harassed by a dark-skinned, medium-sized, Arab employee with thin, medium-length hair. You should be careful who works for you. That was the last time I had to deal with such restaurants that employ staff who harass customers.

Too much salad, little cold meat, unfriendly service. Never again.

They make their entire order as they wished, even though they were repeatedly told to order without salad and sauce. Everything was simply mixed together, with almost only salad and hardly any meat.

Card payments are only possible for orders over €9. I then paid the €9 with my card, even though I had ordered for €8.50. The cashier refused to give me change or an invoice. Instead, he started an argument about 50 cents and simply told me to "pay it out of my own pocket."

No card under 9 euros though 1 meal costa much less

I had a veggie durum with seitan, it was absolutely delicious! What's special about this place is that they mix the salad, meat (substitute), and sauce in a bowl before adding it to the bread. Brilliant! I didn't find the sauces that special; there's still room for improvement! Still incredibly delicious. I'll be back. 🤩

I definitely recommend the vegan seitan doner. We didn't try the meat dishes. The staff were very friendly, though :)

Despite the many negative reviews, I recommend this place because of the vegan seitan doner kebab. It's super tasty and fresh. I usually have a sensitive stomach, and unlike the other users here, I didn't have any problems. Neither did my wife. It's probably because we didn't eat meat there. The food is fresh, the service is good, and the prices are good, too.

Are they crazy? Almost four euros for undercooked fries and even get aggressive with a little more mayo.

The kebab was almost just salad. Well, I'm used to bad kebabs in Hamburg. What bothered me more is that you always use the same bowl for mixing. Regardless of whether you are vegan or not. That doesn't work at all.

Been here twice. The first time I had problems after eating from here, I tought it may not be cuz of them but after the second time and having a disturbing stomach problem after eating it,I made it for sure. Is it because of the meat or the veggies or the sauces. I will never enter to that shop again even if I crave. For sure.

One of the worst kebabs I've eaten and half the chicken too! Doner bread was very old and dry, almost rubbery. Meat in the kebab was super dry and sometimes hard. The kebab was also barely full. Save your money.

I ate a kebab there with my two friends and we've all had diarrhea since then. That was my first and last time. If it were possible I would have given -5 stars. I would then only pay with a health insurance card

I've had a Dürüm twice so far and had diarrhea the first time. Didn't attribute it to Dürüm there. Food poisoning the second time. A case for the health department

They didn't make any effort with their vegan kebabs. The EC card payment only went through €9 and the Vöner was cold. Too bad I didn't become a new customer.

The vegan kebab is not quite as vegan. The seitan is mixed with the salad in a bowl and then packed into the dürüm. The meat was then mixed with the salad in the same bowl. In addition, the kebab was cold and the strings were far too short in the deep fryer.

Not recommended, ordered chicken kebab and got veal cubes... Salad not as desired and bread not warmed up properly. I know it differently - so far it's probably not for locals but just walk-in customers. Too bad!

It's not possible to order Pomm kebab and there was hardly any meat and fries in it, only salad. And tastes really bad. Better go over to the burger shop, it's really great.

I have to clearly disagree with the many bad reviews here. What's particularly good about the shop is that it serves Vöner (Vegan Seitan Döner). I order the Vegan Seitan in bread, as a box or Dürüm 1-2 times a week and have always been happy with it. I also really like the fact that the sauce goes into the bread first and that the salad is mixed through. I don't know what's wrong with using the bowl multiple times for this. Anyone who eats kebab meat should basically be aware of what disgusting, poisonous, drug-contaminated stuff it is. Even the cleanest kebab shop is of no use. I think whoever gets a stomach ache here has to do with the meat, I can't explain it any other way. Salad and sauce are always great!

Absolutely disgusting kebab, the worst kebab in Hamburg. There are kebab shops that at least make a little effort and then there is this shop. The worst thing of all is that the salad is mixed together in a bowl... but it is never cleaned between customers. I have a tomato allergy, I asked if they would clean the salad bowl first, I was just laughed at. Of course I didn’t pay for my kebab and left the “shop” or the hole.

We were here this evening just to treat ourselves to a quick, delicious dinner. However, nothing came of it. By the way, card payments are only available from €9. Conveniently, the dishes on the menu are all just below that. On the one hand, the operation or operations are not communicative. In the middle of it all, someone else took over our order, but luckily he had a better knowledge of German. But then probably the worst: You are asked for the ingredients you want, then everything is thrown into a plastic bowl, mixed and stuffed into the kebab bag. What is the problem here? ...Correct. Only one bowl is used throughout, regardless of who orders what and when. It doesn't work at all. Then why ask? My kebab was rather bad. Too dry, tough meat and a bread that only means bread in name. There was actually just a very crispy bread crust. So you can't taste much there. I cannot recommend Holsten Döner.

The taste of the kebab was okay, but that was just it. I found the bread here to be better than at some other establishments. The service was okay, the filling for the kebab is mixed in the same bowl as for several customers before. I didn't find it very hygienic. The ambience is poor, it's a small shop, there's a few standing rooms inside and a few tables and chairs outside, but it wasn't exactly clean. So overall, a normal kebab establishment, nothing super bad but nothing really good either.

In the meantime I ordered normal dürüm twice for 7.90 and was told that I had actually ordered a “jumbo dürüm” which of course costs 9.50! (Unfortunately they are the same size)

Unfortunately not recommended, the chicken meat was full of cartilage and I had a piece of aluminum foil in my kebab box. Not recommended. I've had stomach problems since eating it

Disgusting service, sauces have to be paid extra given the prices are already way too high. Doner doesn't taste like anything.

The shop is very small but clean and the salad bar from which the salads are served is very neat and attractive! There is chicken that is very well grilled (!) and kebabs in different variations with veal or lamb or vegan (!) with the usual different sauces to choose from and chicken nuggets. At €14, the kebab plate is too expensive for the quantity and, when ordered to take away, is presented in unsuitable packaging because it is too small with only two compartments, as the dish consists of fries, kebab and salad that the fries are on the bottom and cannot be eaten at the same time because you have to eat the layer of meat on top first. After this time, the fries are no longer crispy, but unfortunately softened by the meat juice seeping through. I can't judge the other offers, but they seem very expensive to me with a kebab in flatbread for €7.90. I've lived here for many years and not long ago it was available for €4.90. Price/performance doesn't seem to be quite right here. I think one half chicken for €5.90 and two for €10.90 are fine. In my opinion, these are adjustment screws that can be easily turned and these shortcomings improved. The snack bar has covered seating with marquee sets for eating on site, otherwise just to take away. Card payment is possible!

It's usually okay if you want to get something warm to eat on the way home. Prices are a bit high for what it is, but normal these days. Unfortunately, today I had the experience of paying €7.50 for a Pomm kebab where the fries weren't even properly fried. Lukewarm on the outside, cold on the inside. It was probably my last time there

Too expensive for the quality! Simple stand-up snack bar with a few tables in front of the door. Dürüm kebab customer for 3 years. Prices have risen from €4.90 to €7.90. Meat is standard mass-produced goods. Price can no longer be justified.

So this isn't necessarily the best kebab in Hamburg, but you can definitely make it. People are nice, it tastes good and there are now even vegan options with seitan. Unfortunately, everything is just a bit too little for the price.

I ate the best chicken nugget box of my life here, fries were crispy and super flavorful. There was mayo on the side and the chicken nuggets were super fried. I think the atmosphere looks really good for a kebab shop. Price-wise it's borderline expensive but since the food is great, it's okay for me. I really don't understand why people give bad reviews here, the store is great

Unfreundlich! Zum zweiten Mal dort. Lahmachun mit Huhn. Zum zweiten Mal so wenig Huhn. Kleine Mann da dort arbeitet, übernimmt standing von seine Kollegen. Fotos habe ich.

Zeiten ändern sich, Preise ändern sich. OK! Aber der Minidöner für knapp 6 Euro ist definitiv ZU Mini! Kaum Fleisch, dafür viel zu viel Sauce. Das war mal anders. Die Mitarbeiter sollten sich mal ein bisschen entspannen und mehr Wert auf Qualität legen.

Hier gibt es super leckere Falafel Im Brot! Schmeckt besser als irgendwo sonst! Und sie bieten einen tollen Service! Nette Bedienung, netter Chef! Danke!

Wir hatten gestern spontan Dürum mit Fleisch und Fladenbrot mit Falafel geholt, weil die S-Bahn nicht fuhr, und fanden beides extrem lecker. Personal war auch freundlich. Gut, die Preise sind hoch - aber wo ist das inzwischen nicht der Fall. Qualitativ war es aber super - und ich habe einen extrem empfindlichen Magen (insbesondere, was nicht ganz frische Produkte angeht)! Also von mir 5 Sterne und ich würde hier ohne Bedenken wieder hingehen.

War ok. Was mich stört ist, sie haben die alki-/Drogenszene in direkter Nachbarschaft, die einen zu späterer Stunde auch gerne mal anschnorrt. Die Ecke ist eher nicht zu empfehlen. Nicht direkt gefährlich, aber doch recht nervig.

Der Holsten Döner befindet sich direkt am S-Bahnhof Holstenstraße. Es gibt Kalb- und Geflügel-Döner mit verschiedenen Beilagen, sowie auch einen veganen Döner. Das Brot des Dürüm war leider sehr trocken, der Rest des Essens war aber gut.

Mega Personal, sehr freundlich und respektvoll, das Essen schmeckt auch sehr lecker 10/10 Hut ab weiter so Männer 🫡

Life saver! Very delicious doner kebap, wrap, and friendly guys. After being stood up in an Italian Restaurant, this doner house saved us from hunger before watching the Mama Mia musical. Für die angehobenen Preise (Dürüm = 7,50€) ist die Qualität den Bach runter gegangen. Wie soll ich es am besten beschreiben?!...... Bin seit 20 Jahren Kunde und mit jedem Besitzerwechsel lauf ich lieber ein bisschen weiter. Vielleicht sind es die Hygienevorschriften, nur heute hatte meine Pizza einen komischen Nachgeschmack und nach 2 Minuten war alles kalt. Ich bin überzeugt von Fettgeruch und -geschmack! Das waren noch Waren! 😏😏

Superzarte halbe Hähnchen mit knackfrischem Salat. Immer liebevoll zubereitet. Um 24 Uhr gabs dann noch einen Minidöner. Danke dafür! Für mich seid ihr die BESTEN✌💕

Schlechtester dürüm ever. 6,90€ und man musste das Fleisch suchen. Zudem war er durch den Krautsalat sehr sauer. Also eher nicht zu empfehlen. Zwei Sterne gibt es nur weil die Herren freundlich waren.

Die Bahn kommt gleich? Kein Problem, volles Verständnis. Dürüm kommt fix auf die Hand und schmeckt trotzdem.

Ich kaufe seit 5 Jahren in diesem Restaurant ein. Ehrlich gesagt habe ich noch kein saubereres, schöneres und besseres Essen wie dieses Restaurant gesehen. Ich rate jedem, in diesem Restaurant einzukaufen.
