Staff no knowledge of German and unfortunately overpriced prices

I was at this restaurant recently and had mixed impressions. The steaks were generally good in taste, but there were some flaws. Unfortunately, one steak wasn't cooked through in the middle, even though I ordered it medium. Another was perfect in the outer layer, but in the middle it had the consistency of bubble gum, which unfortunately detracted from the enjoyment. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and the service was friendly, but overall it wasn't the experience I was expecting. For the price I would have expected more. Therefore only 3 out of 5 stars.

Extraordinary Yaprak kebab. A real skewer with pieces of meat placed on top of each other and not a minced meat rotisserie like you unfortunately get at most stalls. You can taste the quality. The rest of the dishes are also very high quality. Service friendly but sometimes inattentive. Highly recommended, it's worth eating here!

Expired Kaymak was sent to me and künefe was completely ice cold!!! What a disgrace!!!

We ate Iskender and 2 doner kebab. There was no butter in Iskender and the meat was bland. They made the doner kebab bread so dry that it was inedible. The service was very late. The waiter (grey haired) who took the order was sullen. Unfortunately, it is not a place to come again.. Don't be fooled by the name, they are not experts on meat..

Seriously, it was a very bad place, including the sinks. We asked for chicken meat, but we got lamb meat. The price we paid was much different from the price written on the menu. In short, do not recommend it, do not let me recommend it.

Very tasty kebab with high quality meat

The best meat to eat in Berlin is here, I was very pleased. The attention and care of the waiters was superb. I am especially grateful to Mr. Ömer and Sinan.

Were here for the first time and loved it. If you like meat, this is the place for you. The Steakazs selection is something special and top quality. Of course this has its price. There is also a wide range of Turkish cuisine available, even for those on a budget. My favorite was the puffed sesame bread with various dips. There is also a children's menu with burgers, fries etc. Only non-alcoholic drinks are offered. Juices, sodas, seltzer, tea, which was very tasty by the way. Vigin cocktails are also available. Friendly service. We would like to come back.

On our trip to Berlin, we went to eat Iskenderun in a restaurant that looked very nice from the outside. but we were not satisfied at all. we asked for a change because my wife doesn't eat mutton. but they refused. just because she dipped the fork into the plate. my wife felt sorry for herself and we paid 45 euros for 2 menus.

I ate in this restaurant for the first time last year and was absolutely thrilled - back then I gave it five stars. The quality of the food, the service and the overall ambience were excellent, which is why I was happy to come back this year. Unfortunately, my second visit was anything but convincing. We were a group of five people and spent over 200 euros, but this time the food was nowhere near the quality of last year. The Iskender kebab we ordered was disappointing: the meat was already cold, and there was a surprising amount of tendon, which detracted from the enjoyment. I also had the feeling that the dish was prepared without much love, which was evident in both the taste and the presentation. It's unfortunate that the standard has dropped so much as I had high expectations after my first visit. Considering the price and the past positive experience, the difference in quality this time was very disappointing. Therefore, unfortunately I can only give it two stars.

I ate a kebab (Dürum) there for €7.90. It was a pretty small roll of dough with relatively little meat, which was also weighed out beforehand. It took a long time and the taste took some getting used to (bad). When I paid ten euros, the waitress only gave me two euros. The whistler probably thought he could keep a 10 cent tip for the bad kebab and lousy service and when I pointed this out to him he also became sour. Never again.

It's a great place to go out to eat with friends, even if you "just" want to eat a kebab. Excellent service and food at its best.

I have tried this place now for the first time after many friends and colleagues recommended it. The kebab is delicious and the meat is just beef meat. No added minced meat or tons of fat. I must say for only 7€ you will get a pure beef meat steak kebab. Most other places charge you 6-8€ for some crappy minced meat kebabs. Next time I will try the other meat options. They do have a chilling room for dry aged meat. Only down side was the very expensive Fritz cola for 3.50€. Next time o will drink an ayran. Try this place out and find your self out how amazing this place is.

It was my first time eating a doner kebab there and I can only agree with most of the reviews. The kebab is original and not like the kebab you usually know in Berlin. He was very tasty. The meat was very tasty. The bread was good, I won't need pickles next time, but that's a matter of taste. The sauce was very good. All in all, highly recommended and probably the best kebab in the area.

Great food, great ambience, fair prices. This is how a restaurant should be.

I wanted to eat a steak, but a small one was for €30 and a larger one for €40, plus side dishes for about €5-6. Bankruptcy at the start... xD So I chose lamb medallions with spinach in cream sauce and potatoes with rosemary (€26). I was given a huge plate that looked red and... empty, with a mountain of meat and spinach. These few patterns made of (probably) ketchup and mustard are really unnecessary effort, the plate is too ugly to display it like that... Let's focus on food. High quality meat, you could just feel it. Very tasty and tender lamb. Unfortunately, the spinach and sauce… completely bland, I left almost all of it, and I love spinach. It spoiled the taste of the meat... and the potatoes? The rosemary dominated them so much that I ate only a few and left the rest. Good ayran. I probably won't go back there, there are other Turkish places in the area with much better food. The meat itself did not survive. The accessories spoiled the whole look.

Lahmajun and kebab are very good.

The mixed grill was great, the meat is very good and delicious, but there was no salt in the meat. And there was no salt on the tables. The atmosphere was not very good, the tables were side-to-side, and very close to each other. Other than that, all was good. Will come again to try other dishes.

If you are looking for authentic Turkish Iskender or generally love Turkish cuisine, you have come to the right place. I have never eaten such a good Iskender plate outside of Türkiye 100% recommendation.

Came on October 3rd, 2024 with a lot of expectations and left on October 4th, 2024 and were overwhelmed! Quality has a name Ehl-i kebap!!

Iskender was definitely not delicious, I can say that the other menus were also average, but it is not a place I would consider going to again.

Far too little for their prices. Pure processing too expensive. There are much much better restaurants. Künefe was completely burnt and covered up with pistachio powder but it smelled like it was burnt. Not recommended. Better go for a snack, it's much better

The steak kebab is a dream. And at that price. No more expensive than a kebab, but if you value good meat, this is the place for you.

We had fresh bread with various dips, a kebab each and rice pudding for dessert. Bread and dips were very tasty, the kebab was excellent - not a typical Berlin kebab - a typical Turkish kebab - very tasty warm bread, delicious meat and fresh vegetables - no red cabbage. The sauces were good, all in all a very good kebab, we will come back 👌

We had two Iskender (1x regular and a 1.5 portion). I've never dined at this restaurant before, but I can't recommend Iskender to anyone. It is extremely expensive (~19€ & ~29€) but has nothing to offer in terms of taste. The meat is full of fat and tastes like nothing and the bread that was used (under the meat) was old and hard! Usually the bread is tossed in butter, which gives it a buttery taste. Sometimes there was a very unpleasant smell from the meat, which meant that the food was not completely eaten. It's a real shame because everything isn't exactly cheap either. Price performance is not right here at all.

Unfortunately, the meat of the Iskender kebab was inedible. It was full of fat and overlooked tendons. Even though we couldn't eat it, we still had to pay. And besides, it took a very long time. Service was a disaster...I can't recommend it!

Great kebab made from real steak meat! I was allowed to try it before I ordered. I ate at the table outside, so I can't comment on the ambience. The service was friendly and there were also Turkish guests in the restaurant, which for me is a remarkable additional quality criterion.

The kebab was excellent. Only the Hasir on Adalbertstrasse in Kreuzberg offers a kebab of comparable quality. Anyone who is used to the typical German kebab with bad minced meat that is bloated with phosphates and over-seasoned so that you can't taste the poor quality might be disappointed. Therefore, when ordering a kebab, you should be prepared for something new and rather unusual. The kebab consists entirely of real veal steak meat, which is pounded into slices and stacked on top of each other. It is fresh and from our own production. The kebab is served in the classic way. By that I mean the classic way it is served in Türkiye. Meat cut a little thicker, lightly seasoned and with a little lettuce, tomato slices and onions (by the way, red cabbage in kebab is absurd). Plus fresh bread from our own production. The meat taste is very dominant. Veal meat itself can take a little getting used to taste. In any case, you should get involved with it. Then you will be very happy. In any case, I am now spoiled and now that I know that this classic Turkish kebab exists in Berlin, I can no longer eat the Berlin kebab that is flooded with sauce and deliberately overshadowed in terms of taste. I had a fantastic experience today, I ordered fries, a coke and a large kebab. The food was deliciously prepared, fresh and absolutely delicious and the bread was crusty. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. My order was served quickly and correctly. Overall, my visit was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it!

I ordered a doner kebab and an ayran for pickup here today. The food tasted okay and was filling. The ambience needs to be tweaked a bit.

The meat doner is great and the rice pilaf is also good, but the Iskender was also good, only the pita inside was beer hard, I couldn't eat it, it had plenty of meat, thank you.

Absolute disappointment, no comparison to the last time I was there 2 years ago. Meat (doner kebab meat) sticky, strong smell and full of fat. Very unfortunate.

The İskender was extremely salty and extremely fatty, simply inedible. Definitely not recommended. The waiter was friendly and tried to put it in a nice way that it was the meat because the beginning is supposedly always salty and it was already 3 p.m. He then brought us baklava, which couldn't save the disappointment. So it was a big disappointment. I've been there a few times and each time I had something to complain about - the steak also tasted spoiled. Afterwards we had stomach pains. The food is really tasty. The place makes you feel like you are actually in Turkey. My only problem with it is something I quite don't like as a system. The seating is 'public'. What I mean by that is that you can sit wherever you like and anybody can sit beside you. There is absolutely no privacy. I would definitely eat the food again but next time I would prefer it to be delivered rather than having to go through that again.

The food was a complete disaster. I will definitely not recommend it and will visit it myself. It was just disgusting that I still feel sick from eating. The meat smelled, and the side dish smelled the same. You couldn't eat bread because it was hard and old. When I asked the waiter about it, he acted like he didn't care. never again!! Then charging 30€ for the grilled mixed plate, where only smelly meat is served, outrageously simple

So you can tell that they are masters at skewering meat. Sauces are ok. Bread is great. I like to go to Et dunyasi when I'm in Wedding. Highly recommended 👍

Food expensive And the taste was great It's okay, but it doesn't have to be!

The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. Everyone was nice and friendly, but I wasn't impressed by the food. The Yaprak kebab was not what I imagined. There are many other shops in Berlin that I liked better.

Grill plate for two people was super tasty

The meat is good but that's about it. The durum is 95% lettuce, 5% tomato, such a little sauce you couldn't even taste it. Not enough meat, especially when upgrading the durum to its largest size its not worth the extra cost

Had steak kebab in bread. Really good kebab meat. No minced meat but juicy steak meat. The meat is not drowned out by sauces and salad. You can taste the meat very well. Definitely try it!

If you like the Dürum after it has been topped with meat, salad and sauce, warm it up in the sandwich maker. The dürum was really disgusting because the salad and sauce were warm and everything was soggy like a burrito. Really funny. Never eaten a dürum like this before and it's a shame because the meat here is actually very good but due to this preparation after warming it up, it's a muddy porridge 🤢🤮

It was a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. You have to try a steak like this 😉 In short you can say everything was excellent.

We had eaten it a few times before and thought it wasn't a bad kebab by Berlin standards. This time we ate döner and iskender, but the flavor of the meat was definitely not good and it was dry. Iskender's tomato sauce was also too sour. I don't think of going again.

I was very disappointed with my last visit to this restaurant. The service was unfriendly and slow, we had to wait over an hour for our food. When the food finally came, it was cold and tasteless. In addition, the portions were very small compared to the price. Overall the experience was well below expectations. I hope that management takes this criticism seriously and makes improvements. !

Dürum is first topped with salad and sauce and then warmed in the toaster... so the salad and sauces were warm and everything was mixed together. Not tasty! In addition, listless and inattentive waiters don't say hello, thank you, please or goodbye. The kebab meat was partially cooled down even though it was 30 degrees outside... so the food probably waited a little longer for the waiter to pick it up. Sat here twice now, both times not as good as expected... so never here again.

Great kebab meat simply tasted good, bread was too dry, sauce was good and salad was fresh. Köfte sandwich is one of the best I've eaten in a long time. It was so good that I even went there again with friends in the evening. Unfortunately not as hyped as the Tik Tok kebab shop. But definitely worth a visit.

One of the best steak kebabs in Germany

The kebab is really very tasty. But the entire staff is a disaster and needs to be either completely replaced or thoroughly trained. There is a lack of decorum and service. You should wait until the previous customer has been served before asking the next customer what they would like, rather than yelling at the customer in front of you. You should also open the kebab window and ask what the customer wants and not shout through the closed window. There are other issues, but these are the basic issues. The staff needs to be trained in decency and service or completely replaced as all employees behave disrespectfully.

The starter platter didn't taste like anything. Unfortunately the kebab meat wasn't good either. One of the employees responded rudely to a question.

Actually delicious kebab meat without additives, as it should be. BUT: The kebab is so small and so sparingly filled with meat that you would need 3 kebabs to fill you up - then probably just from the bread. The prices are also outrageously high. No recommendation, won't come back. I can also buy organic meat and fry it myself. It costs half as much and I have 5 times as much meat on my plate.

At Et-Dünyasi, the kebab tastes very intense and stands out clearly from a standard kebab. The meat is aromatic, but cut a little too thick in some places, which slightly affects the taste experience and makes the kebab a little tougher. The bread is also special and tastes excellent. Overall, a very tasty kebab that I can recommend.

Whenever I'm in the area, I go there to treat myself to a classic kebab. The meat is weighed precisely to the gram, which speaks for the quality and it tastes really unique. Of course, sometimes I make the journey of almost 45 minutes extra to eat a big kebab there. The extra portion of meat really kicks in. Really a very successful masterpiece and definitely up there with the best kebab I've ever eaten. Absolute recommendation and getting a kebab of this quality with such high-quality meat in an extra large size for 8 euros is definitely more than fair. Treat yourself!!!
