Beautifully located near Stadtbad Mitte. Excellent espresso, classic Berlin ambiance. Should be listed as a historic monument.

I like this place when I'm in Berlin and have some time for a strong coffee.

The atmosphere is truly exceptional and super relaxed. I felt completely at home. Probably also because it seems to be a casual meeting place for many locals. Not an anonymous tourist spot. However, I think there's still some room for improvement in the coffee quality. Still, a well-deserved five stars because the overall package is just right!

As a long-time Berliner, I'm always completely thrilled with the Espresso Bar. The ambiance is so fascinating, with so many little details about the decor—well, everything, really. It completely reminds me of Mitte and Friedrichshain from the last millennium, or better yet, from the 70s onward.

Upon first entering, I felt a sense of home, like it used to be, hard to describe: very small, very charming. A pure neighborhood, I can say as an old Berliner; I haven't been this enthusiastic in a long time.

Friendly café with nice furnishings, a great courtyard and great coffee. Don't take the subway so much - just walk past good cafes!

I've walked past several times and today I finally wanted to have a coffee and breakfast there, but was immediately stopped by a barking dog that suddenly shot out as if struck by lightning. It's a shame, but something like that is absolutely unacceptable!!
