Café at Marla / Marla Concept Store in Berlin

Anfangs wirkte es etwas teuer, aber meine Fisch-Tacos haben mich total begeistert! Absolut jeden Cent wert. Hervorragend, ich wünschte, wir hätten so gutes mexikanisches Essen auch bei uns zu Hause! Und der Kaffee ist exzellent. Der Besitzer war auch sehr nett. Insgesamt eine entspannte Atmosphäre.

Das Essen ist köstlich und authentisch! Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man in Berlin nach echten mexikanischen Gerichten sucht.

Ich war auf der Suche nach Chilaquiles und bin durch reinen Zufall hier gelandet. Ehrlich gesagt, was für eine angenehme Überraschung! Alles war köstlich, das Konzept des Lokals ist echt cool und der Service war super freundlich. Wenn ihr hingeht, bestellt unbedingt die Erdbeer-Horchata. Die ist der Hammer!

Die besten Chilaquiles, die ich in Berlin gegessen habe. Sie sind wirklich authentisch. Auch der Horchata Latte war ausgezeichnet.

Es ist gar nicht so einfach, außerhalb Mexikos oder Kaliforniens gute mexikanische Tacos zu finden, aber hier in Berlin habe ich diese fantastischen, hausgemachten Tacos mit einer richtig leckeren Michelada genossen. Die Tortillas waren erstklassig! Ich fühlte mich wie bei meiner Großmutter. In diesem gemütlichen Lokal gibt es außerdem „Pan de Muertos“ (Mutterschurke) und im hinteren Bereich einen riesigen Plattenladen mit elektronischer Musik. TOP

Super coole Location und guter Kaffee. Musik nebenbei im Hintergrund auch klasse.

Auf Grund der fantastischen Bewertungen bin ich hergekommen und wo ich mich anschließen kann: die Person hinterm Tresen war extrem nett und der Laden an sich, ist auch Mega cool. Leider hat mich das Essen komplett enttäuscht. Ich hatte zwei vegane Tacos. Zwar war der Wrapper an sich gut, aber die vegane Chorizo war einfach “scrambled tofu” und die Tacos hatten überhaupt keinen Geschmack. Dafür war es auch noch extrem teuer, ich glaube wir haben für vier Tacos (also zwei Gerichte) und ein Getränk 30 Euro bezahlt. Den Kaffee oder Kuchen habe ich nicht probiert, aber da ich nach den sehr guten anderen Bewertungen hier, eine entsprechende Erwartungshaltung hatte und die wirklich überhaupt nicht erfüllt worden ist, würd ich (zumindest für Tacos) nicht wieder her kommen.

Selbst in einer Stadt voller Überraschungen findet man nicht allzu oft so ein Juwel, das so unvergesslich ist und alle Sinne anspricht. Die Atmosphäre ist irgendwie bohemisch, modern und gemütlich, geräumig und mit einem Hauch Vintage. Eine harmonische Mischung aus Hörlounge, Bekleidungsgeschäft und fantastischer Familienküche, die kleine, mexikanisch angehauchte Gerichte serviert. Und wahrscheinlich der beste Cortado, den ich je getrunken habe – zubereitet vom kaffeebegeisterten Besitzer. Sie veranstalten regelmäßig Vinyl-Hörabende, aber jeder Besuch wird zu einem Hörerlebnis, denn sie legen oft unbekannte Klangschätze auf. Berühmt sind sie auch für ihre Tacos. Genial!

Du musst unbedingt reinschauen! Ich hatte einen selbstgemachten Dirty Chai, eine mexikanische Limonade und einen veganen Apfelcrumble. Alles superlecker und sehr nette Leute, außerdem ist der Laden hundefreundlich. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ich liebe diesen Laden wirklich sehr. Das Essen ist großartig und man merkt, dass alles mit viel Liebe zubereitet ist. Die Portionen sind großzügig und die Speisekarte bietet eine schöne Auswahl – ich bestelle meistens Pozole oder Tacos, aber die Chilaquiles und Tamales sind auch sehr lecker. Es ist definitiv mein Lieblingsrestaurant für mexikanisches Essen geworden. Ich mag diesen Laden wirklich sehr. Das Essen schmeckt super und man hat das Gefühl, dass alles mit viel Liebe zubereitet wird. Die Portionen sind großzügig und es gibt eine gute Auswahl; ich bestelle meistens Pozole oder Tacos, aber die Chilaquiles und Tamales sind auch sehr lecker. Es ist definitiv mein Lieblingsrestaurant für mexikanisches Essen geworden.

Hier findet man mexikanische Gerichte, die man sonst nicht so oft bekommt. Mir gefiel der griechische Einfluss und die Experimentierfreude mit den Aromen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und exzellent. Alle Speisen, inklusive der Desserts, sahen fantastisch aus. Danke!!

great spot if you’re looking for legit Mexican food. They have pozole and tamales, dishes that are hard to find in other Mexican restaurants around the city. You can also ask for an alcohol-free michelada, which is refreshing. Very nice also if you’re just stopping by for a coffee.

Best place for tacos in Berlin - specialty coffee and good vibes ALWAYS

A very nice, cozy café that serves delicious Mexican food. I tried the Pozole and a michelada, they are highly recommended. The cafe has a corner with clothes and is connected to Marla Records, a vinyl store with interesting music. Everyone was super friendly, I’ll definitely go back there soon.

Stopped by for a coffee & snack on a sunny evening in Berlin. The owner was super friendly, explained to us the differences in our coffee (Espresso & Cortado), and recommended us a Tamale - among the only Mexican places in Berlin to sell one. We also ordered Tacos. All of it was delicious - but it’s the owner and his team’s warmth in creating such a lovely space that we will come back for.

We had tacos, was ok. Staff ok. Ambiente ok. They have a cool area where they sell alternative clothes. Card payment possible.

Absolutely amazing food. I tried the tamales with jalapenos y queso and the barbeque ones. Both incredible! And the chilaquiles which were out of this world. Plus the coffees were perfect. Great service and cozy place.Fully recommend

The owners are friendly and chilled. They have a really cool mexi-terannean food and beverage concept and really give great importance to their products. There are options for meat eaters, vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerant, aso.. The music is great and it is a chilled cafe where one can also work from. All in all, it is an authentic, unpretencious, locally owned cool place to chill, enjoy and relax.

The service was incredibly nice and lovely. The atmosphere? I would just stay there and chill. And the soup cured my hangover

Couldn't but give 5 stars. My friends and I found this place by chance and couldn't have been more lucky. The staff is super friendly and gave us a couple really nice suggestions about what to try, the food was made with care and was really tasty (must try the vegetarian quiche, the torta quisado and the homemade juice), the location super cool (there is also a hidden vinyl shop on the other room!). We will certainly have a nice memory of this place, super recommended!

We had a reasonably priced meal and tea there for two. The receptionist was very friendly and explained everything. Allergies were taken into account. I would just like the chairs to be more comfortable.

Great tacos, unique vibe, and very friendly. Me and my girlfriend are always on the hunt for authentic tacos in Berlin and were really impressed by this place. Not just tacos the food (some of the more authentic tacos in Berlin. A little pricey but typical for Berlin), but the entire venue is super unique. They had a dj inside with people dancing at noon, the owner was really kind and even gave us a free corn bread muffin, and there’s even a listening vinyl store in the back. Everyone was also extra friendly (not something you always find when dining in Berlin), which made it extra nice. This would make for a great date spot. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

If you look for a place to have breakfast or just a coffee to go - Café at Marla is the place for you. The beverages are fantastic - the devil is in the detail: Every coffee is grinded and extracted for you. But the real deal is the food. If you are into mexican food, you're going to have a blast - EVEN or ESPECIALLY if you are Mexican. The chilaquiles are fantastic. The tacos are absolutely amazing - Jalisco style. There is even vegan tacos - which are an absolute recommendation. Tacos de Barbacoa están brutales weiii. I'd give ten stars to the place, but I only can give 5. I hate Berlin, but if I ever have to go there again, I'll only eat at Café at Marla. That's for sure.

My friend got scammed in front of my face with an 80% more of the price given on the menu. The owner was extremely rude when he got confronted with this matter. I would suggest to stay away from this scammy coffee shop by any means. Also, no receipt was given to us…

I just ordered an Americano that on the menu said it was 3€ but the owner charded me 5,50€? I asked him whether there was something special about the coffee that it made such a big difference and he aggressively said that I should go elsewhere if I didn’t like the price. Absolutely pathetic and disappointed from this store.

I have no idea why that person gave one star. This has to be one of the friendliest cafes/ restaurants in Berlin. Definitely try the Tortas there, they are some of the best food I’ve had in Berlin ever!

I went there today with a NeoTaste deal (2 for 1 drink; paid service that restaurants voluntarily participate in) and ordered two drinks and a pack of coffee beans. I showed the deal, redeemed it, and it confirmed I was getting a free drink. However, the amount was very high, so I asked for a receipt. I was denied it. I've now researched the bean price and know that I was definitely charged for both drinks. I find this behavior impossible and hypocritical.

Moved here from New Mexico, Marla has the best tacos and pozole in Berlin - tastes exactly like home. The tortillas are amazing, the pozole is so so good - very cute record & clothing shop, didn’t expect from the outside that they would have such good Mexican food but it is beyond delicious!

As a Mexican curious I have to say the tacos and the pozole are tremendously good! The concept of the store is great, I missed going to the record store but will definitely come back! This place is a must-go!

I love this store, what I love is the community they have between several distributors and Marla's coffee is great, I recommend ordering the combo of birria tacos and their pozole 😉, and at Marla Récords ask them to show you the selection of records second hand!!!

Wow! I just happened to come across this place and boy was I lucky to do so. Best vegan banana bread I have ever tasted in my life. So moist and not too sweet. The ingredients in there treats are extremely healthy and simple and delicious. Also a knockout was the spanakopita! Also vegan! It was literally the best one I have ever tasted in my life as well and it was a good size portion. Combine that with the salad that they have in the jars. Wow! That salad was incredible! The sauce the vegetables. All the taste really worked together to make it a delicious and exciting vegan salad. The vegan brownie was also moist and delicious! The people were extremely nice and I can't wait to go back to have their tacos. Cuz be I hear great things about it! Really delicious food! And healthy. I think everything except one thing was vegan which was an added bonus!

Please do yourself a favor and try the tacos at Marla! On top of the best tacos I've ever had, you'll meet some super kind people they really love what they do.

Absolutely loved the tacos, truly authentic Mexican flavors! Definitely recommend trying the michelada mix for your beer. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere with the DJ music was fantastic. Also worth mentioning is the high-quality coffee alongside the delicious treats. 5/5 stars!

The coffee is amazing, delicious food, very authentic tacos on Saturdays! The people working there are very friendly, I love that there is many different concepts incorporated, for example if you are a dj or a vinyl enthusiast you can search for records in the next room, or if you want to find some authentic clothing and support local designers you can find there everything!
