Erbil in Berlin

We came from Hanover. I ordered lamb with rice, potatoes, and eggplant, along with a fresh salad, on a tray. The food all arrived mixed together in a small bowl, including the salad. It was tasteless—no salt, no pepper, no spice at all. Absolutely nothing. My husband ordered two kebabs, which were supposed to be spicy, but they were completely tasteless as well. I had diarrhea afterward; never again will I have to make the trip.

Below minimum expectations... instead go to the worst Italian pizzeria and you will have more satisfaction.

The dishes are great and taste so good. It is a very low key place with just great food. You sit there and get such tasty and heavy lunch.

It's not particularly cozy there, unfortunately, as it's more reminiscent of a snack bar than a restaurant. The food is good and the service is okay.

Very expensive and the staff were unfriendly. You can get better and much tastier food elsewhere. Eating there and paying half the price was a big mistake; I wouldn't go there again for that price. I definitely don't recommend it.

as always, you go in with an expectation. In this case, it was quite a letdown. No grill until 15:00 hours, and what they had as an alternative, was expensive and not special at all. we had a mixed dish in a bowl with rice, some salad and some meat. And one drink. €25pp. there are far better options in Berlin.

Excellent food. You get a complimentary soup as a welcome drink. Tea is also free. The lamb or chicken skewers are very tasty. Freshly baked bread is included with your order, as well as a salad plate! With two skewers, salad is unnecessary!

The food is insanely tasty, the bred slaps, various drink options to choose yourself, staff is super nice — we even got free tee!

As an expat living outside of Germany, I ate the best kebab I've ever had in Europe here. Their homemade bread was fantastic; crispy and warm. The biryani rice was fluffy, generously portioned, and very delicious. They offered complimentary soup when I ordered. Even the tea I drank after the meal was delicious :) It was a strong, brewed tea, like the kind we call "smuggled tea" back home.

A super nice team and incredibly delicious food. That makes my weekly office day much sweeter.

The food is super delicious. We had the small dip plate with the bread. Lamb grilled with Biryani and a soup. There is also a small soup included as service and the fresh Ayak was super good. Totally recommend ♥️

My favourite time to go is after 3 when their grill is up. The lamb Koteletts are amazing. Lunch menu is great too and prices are very okay.

We tried Erbil (Iraqi spot) and overall it was… fine, but a bit disappointing compared to the hype. I had the lamb & beef kebab — one skewer for €12, which felt expensive. The meat itself was genuinely nice, well cooked and tasty, but there just wasn’t much of it. They bring a naan-style flatbread and a complimentary soup, which is a nice touch… but that’s basically it. My wife had the lamb with biryani rice. The lamb was okay, but the rice was underwhelming — not much flavor coming through. We also tried the zaatar bread (the darker one) and I had a homemade ayran, which was nice and refreshing. In the end we paid around €45 for two, and I still left a bit hungry. Nothing terrible, just nothing that made me want to rush back.

Went here with wife, kids and sister in law. Excited since the reviews were great and it was recommended by my sister in law. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately I was not really satisfied with the food. I found a hair in my meal and too much of my bread and veggies were charred to the point that I would not eat them. The others were satisfied though. Would not go there again myself.

We were at Erbil Restaurant this evening. Everything was super fresh, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly portioned. The bread was fantastic – slightly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfect with the dips and the grilled food. The salads were crisp, the meat tender and flavorful. The service was very friendly and attentive; you really feel welcome. Overall: a truly enjoyable restaurant with great food. We'll definitely be back!

When I arrived here they welcomed me warmly and the: - staff: were respective and kind, that is a good start to enjoy your meal, and I felt I eat within my own house. - Food: I ordered Rice, chicken, okra soup, they were very delicious with the fresh hot Nan(bread), The taste was like my mother’s food 😋😋 Recommended.

The food was freshly prepared and crisp. In addition to our order, we received a complimentary small starter of lentil soup – thank you! The meat was juicy and well-seasoned. The combination of ingredients in the salads was unusual for what is, broadly speaking, an "Arabic salad." Very harmonious and very well done. The service was extremely friendly, offered helpful advice, and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful evening at their restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic! If you like Turkish/Kurdish cuisine, this is a must-visit. The restaurant's ambiance is more like a large kebab shop, but the food is superb. The bread is made fresh; you can constantly see the baker kicking the dough into the oven – it doesn't get any fresher than that! :-) Prices are perfectly reasonable... I'll definitely be back!

Blown away! I came looking for a Schwarma and left with a lamb lavna tucked happily in my belly. It’s not a doner, durum, Schwarma or burrito. The bread is this huge soft made, chewy, doughy and slightly crispy thing that hugs all the goodness in. The shredded lamb was succulent, flavourful and had juices running. A medley of vegetables accompanied this wonder; eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes, onions… and all in this beautiful clean clear sauce. On each table there’s the most delicious chilli and garlic oil for you to drizzle generously over your meal. May I add, there’s sumac too 😍 Give this place a chance and you will fall in love with its majesty. A top ten!

Food are middle east type good quality. Especially zahter bread 😍 The only negative thing is tea. I know it is gonna sound cheesy but they charged us for tea after food.
