Great Mexican in a great location. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we had to wait quite a long time for a table. Otherwise the service was very good. Food very tasty with a surprisingly large vegetarian selection. However, we found the cocktails to be overpriced for their size.

Amazing place, amazing environment. Like its name its spicy and happening. I was here with my colleagues and it was really nice. We had different types of mexican cuisines like tapas, fajitas and assorted platter. It was 'sehr lecker !'. If you happen to be in Bremen then this restaurant is 'must be' on your list.

Great location in the old cellar vault. Celebrated a bachelor party there, the cocktails are very tasty. The selection of dishes is good, you can get everything your Mexican-Spanish heart desires. Always happy to come by. We can fully recommend it.

Very accommodating when ordering tables in advance. The service in the evening was extremely friendly and accommodating. The cocktails tasted great and we found the cool furnishings and the design of the walls very impressive. We have fond memories of the enchilada.

Were at the cocktail stand, there are flies in the cocktails and the cocktails taste like pure alcohol. Not recommended!!!

The service at the stand outside takes 20 minutes for a cocktail because no employee knows what to do. My request to take back the order because my friends had already finished their beer and I no longer needed my cocktail was rejected. The service is bad and the taste is only limited. Are there nicer restaurants on the Schlachte...

As usual, the food is 100%, if you like this cuisine - I recommend it.

Great Restaurant, Great Service I must say

Nice atmosphere, you can sit outside and the food tastes good too. Unfortunately, the service sometimes didn't pay attention to us and was a bit unfriendly. But it was still a nice experience!

Yesterday we went to the Schlachte by bike.. We looked for one of the few places at the Enchilada to drink one or two cocktails. So far everything is good… Then we went to the counter and wanted to order… There were about five employees between the ages of 18 and 21 (max), one of whom was a young girl who had only been working there since yesterday, who was responsible for taking orders (she had told another guest who asked why it was taking so long when he ordered a water). It might be helpful to have someone who had more experience at her side. Everyone else stood around somewhat uninvolved and talked about internal topics, smoked, etc. It took forever, friendliness was sought in vain and all questions could not be answered. It seemed a bit as if everyone who was standing there had only been there since yesterday.. You don't expect much, but that was really a disaster.. We waited about a quarter of an hour for two drinks, even though there were only two orders in front of us, and when we asked politely where the second drink was because a guest who was next to us had already gotten his drink.. we were told that the alcohol wasn't there at the moment and would be picked up, but since I had ordered a Kuba Libre and the Havana was right behind it, I pointed to it and said it was already there and then about 3 minutes later my drink was made. Additionally, I would like to say that it wasn't so busy that it would have been impossible to provide good service.

The positive first. Food and drink were good. It's not new to me that prices are higher and portions are smaller due to the pandemic and war, but I was still not satisfied with the price-performance ratio here. The worst thing was the wait for food, which was almost 1 1/2 hours. The apology after almost an hour citing a lack of staff in the kitchen didn't help either. Since the cutlery arrived a few minutes after my meal, I ate the food by hand and then rushed to the next appointment. Not like that again, there are plenty of good alternatives on the battlefield!

Waited half an hour to be allowed to order, the staff skillfully ignores the guests because that's their job. Waited an hour for mediocre food, in small portions. Then another half hour for a drink that never came and finally we were allowed to pay for it. All in all, the first and last visit to Enchilada.

If you want to see amazing bartender skills where it is as close to being art than the bartender we had last night was a true Picasso. We enjoyed a range of drinks while talking shop - one the best experiences with top class espresso martini 🍸 and zombie

Ordered two cocktails and the taste was almost identical. once a Jumbo Big Ben and once a Sugar Daddy cocktail...the taste was more like syrup or a fruit juice with very little alcohol...it's hard to describe than the taste...you can't eat the gratinated nachos either, small bowl and little cheese...the last time I was there was 10 years ago...it was still good then 😎

No waiter comes out and every order, no matter how big, is rewarded with a wait. I felt very neglected here compared to people inside. The waiters don't even look at you.

We visited on a Tuesday, after being ignored by service for 20 minutes (eye contact was ACTIVELY avoided) our attention was drawn to us. The service employee said “I’ll be right there”. After another 10 minutes we left disappointed! All the other tables around us were served, even though the glasses were sometimes more than half full.

+Drinks came quickly +the service was nice -Appetizer came after about 1 hour, baked nachos, quesadas -We canceled the meal after waiting 1.5 hours and left -No one proactively made us aware of the waiting time -Empty glasses and plates were only taken away upon request Such a nice shop and such bad cuisine. Unbelievable.

We spontaneously drove to the Bremer Schlachte on a Friday and got a table for two at the enchilada. The service was at our table quickly. Drinks also arrived quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait almost two hours for our food! The extremely friendly and empathetic service even offered us to cancel the order due to the long waiting time. We waited. The weather was good, but from my layman's perspective the place wasn't overly crowded inside or out. I can't say what caused it in the end... Nevertheless, the food tasted good and was warm ;-) I'm not from the catering industry, so I see it with a smile!

I really think the store is great! Looks very appealing from the inside, you immediately feel at home. The service was also great, you never had to wait long even though it was busy. The food tasted great and we were able to share the tacos with each other👍🏽

Unfortunately, the store has gone downhill massively. From around 8 p.m. the light is changed and the music is turned up massively louder, so that you can hardly have a relaxed conversation anymore. We were there with a larger group and had to wait about 90 minutes (an hour and a half!!) for our food. This is not acceptable. The taste of the dishes was okay, but the portions were unfortunately laughably small given the prices. Unfortunately poor value for money. The cocktails/drinks tasted very watery. We probably won't go there again.

The three of us spontaneously went to the Enchiladas terrace and ordered three Virgin Strawberry Margeritas and a portion of nachos. After we placed the order, we waited 20-25 minutes for our drinks; there wasn't really much going on at that time. 60 minutes passed and we still hadn't received our portion of nachos. When I asked the waitress about it, she apologized and was surprised. Maybe the waitress couldn't help it and was actually quite nice, but all three of us who were sitting there are waiters ourselves and I don't understand how you can't notice for 60 minutes that a portion of nachos hasn't arrived yet. We were then told that the kitchen was currently training new staff, which we can also understand. It can happen that a voucher gets lost, but then you could at least have at least 1 of the 3 drinks discounted/cancelled due to the inconvenience. When I asked the waitress for the bill, we waited another 15 minutes and went back in ourselves to get it to the table, only then could we pay. We really have a lot of understanding because we come from the catering industry ourselves, but unfortunately nothing worked out for us that day. As I said, the waitress was really nice, she just could have reacted a little differently :)

The ambiance is very nice, although the seating is a bit uncomfortable. The service was okay, but they lacked experience or knowledge, as it seemed to be their first day. However, the food was very weak, lacking in flavor, and everything tasted very similar and not very "Mexican."

The portions are very small and relatively expensive. Dicing the cocktails is recommended.

I was there yesterday with a small gaming group. The service was super nice and attentive. In the more than 4 hours that I sat there, we were asked a few times whether they could bring us anything else or whether everything was OK. All 4 of us had delicious drinks including cocktails and a good meal. I found the explanations of the Mexican dishes in the menu particularly helpful! There wasn't too much going on, so we were able to have a good time and play the games we had brought with us. That was absolutely no problem. We were also the last to cash in and were allowed to sit for a while while the checkout was being made, so it was really more than friendly. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties as there are too many steps. But otherwise I can only recommend the enchilada!

Best Mexican food ever! The enchilada con pollo and the chocolate cake is too good. Love it.

Were there on Saturday. The food was really subpar. Waited a long time for it and it tasted nothing Mexican. The whole wheat tortillas of the (not grilled, just folded) quesadillas were dry and chewy like the sole of a shoe - and best of all, the corn on the cob, which I was curious about because it was supposed to have a "crunchy breading", was covered in a dried sauce with a few sticky tortilla chip crumbs stuck to it! By the way, the corn itself was also sticky and dry because it had probably been kept warm for too long...Never again!!!! Two points instead of one because the cocktails are ok. and the service was really nice.

We were there during the first signs of spring and were outside. In the Enchilada, too, people were probably surprised by the high temperatures and the high number of guests. It was still a bit jerky but the service was on the ball and very professional... Cocktails were great as was the atmosphere.... We didn't eat anything...but it looked delicious

Unfortunately very disappointing. The service staff was so sweet and great. Unfortunately, a few things went wrong during the meal, not completely and the salad dressing was very bland. Unfortunately the solution was not satisfactory, although I didn't have to pay for the drinks, but for my friend it was still water for €2.50. It would have been desirable if the boss had come to the table herself and we could have clarified this with her.

The food was delicious, but if you have to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for it, that doesn't save your mood. We could have at least warned in advance that it would take a long time, then we would have definitely gone somewhere else. Nobody really apologized either. It's simply too expensive for that. Otherwise the service was actually very friendly.

Nice atmosphere, good music and delicious food. The Plant-Based Day on Thursday is particularly great, where there is a complete vegan menu to choose from! The food is really delicious and it's so nice to be able to choose from a large selection as a vegan - that's really rare in Bremen. There's also happy hour from 5 p.m. and Latin music, which rounds the whole thing off perfectly. So far we haven't had any bad service, but sometimes it can take a little longer for the food to arrive.

Disastrous service.. Super long waiting time. The restaurant was only moderately attended. Nevertheless, it took about 20 minutes until we got the card. After another 20 minutes we were allowed to order. When after another 20 minutes we hadn't even received the starter, I asked. I was then briefly informed that due to a technical problem, our order had not arrived in the kitchen and therefore had not been produced. Strangely enough, the starter arrived immediately after a minute. So 61 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. Long waiting times have often been reported in the reviews. The starter was ok, but nothing special. Since we didn't want to wait another hour, we skipped the main course and left. Finally, the service classic... Since there was of course no tip, the waitress left without a word after receiving the money. I always find it exciting when guys like this think that they can punish the guest by ignoring them after such a catastrophe... In any case, we went to the DON CARLOS tapas bar and spent a very nice and enjoyable evening there. I can only recommend :)

On Saturday my wife and I spontaneously ended our 8th anniversary there with a little something to eat, the tacos weren't bad and the Borito was also very good, the drinks were also great. Especially the homemade lemonade was really awesome (strawberry mint) I personally can recommend the enchilada. Price performance was quite okay and the service was super nice. All questions were answered in a friendly and competent manner. Why only 4 stars? Because there always has to be room for improvement but overall it's great, we will definitely visit you again.

You should be patient but the wait is worth it. Meanwhile you definitely have the opportunity to enjoy the good selection of soft drinks. A little loud but everyone has their own taste.

Very long waiting times. We sat for almost 30 minutes until our order was taken, another 20 until the drinks came (they were great though!) and then another 25 until the food arrived. I think that's quite a long time for a Tuesday early evening. The food tasted like it had been sitting for a few minutes. Lukewarm, soggy tacos and fries. Also quite small portions for the price. (The 3 tacos in the picture cost €14) We also had to wait 20 minutes for the bill. Waiter didn't respond to hand signals, very inattentive. We weren't even asked if everything was okay with us. Maybe it was busier than usual, but the employee didn't look like he was in a hurry.

Food and drinks only recommended. Especially on Tuesdays there is a cocktail dice, which is highly recommended. However, when it is full it sometimes takes a little longer for the orders to arrive.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Enchilada in Bremen and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is super cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The staff was very friendly and attentive - you immediately feel welcome. The food was simply fantastic! The enchiladas were perfectly seasoned, with a great selection of sauces and fresh ingredients. The portions are generous and the quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired. All in all, a great experience that I would happily repeat. Highly recommended for anyone who wants delicious Mexican cuisine in Bremen!

Basically a nice evening, almost everyone enjoyed the food. But: because of an intolerance to chili, I chose a different dish together with the waitress. This one came and there were probably chilies on it. Answer service person: that could be the spice mixture. When I asked if we didn't have to know in the kitchen whether there was chili in it, I was told that he didn't work in the kitchen himself, which was clear to me, but it's still his job to be in the kitchen to indicate that a guest has an intolerance so that the cook can leave out the spice mixture in this case.

I was in Bremen with a friend for the Christmas market. We were walking past the medieval market and happened to come across Enchilada. Luckily we were able to get a spot, it was busy. We both ordered a burrito and a cocktail. Pleasantly surprised by the delicious burritos and a tasty cocktail that only costs 6 euros during happy hour. With the photos we had the burrito, both of which were very tasty, already half finished... The cocktails were also tasty (I had a bacardi razz and my girlfriend a pina colada). We had a delicious meal for about 40 euros (6 euros for a cocktail and 14.50 for the burrito) and we were able to quickly return to the Christmas market. The service was good, fast, friendly and compliments for the interior: cozy, attractive and cool with all the murals, plants and lighting.

I have wanted to visit this restaurant for years and yesterday, on the 4th of Advent, the time had come. There were three of us and when we arrived some tables were already occupied. The atmosphere was simply inviting and you immediately felt at peace. We found it really, really appealing. Unfortunately, this impression was really ruined because the service (we were there at 5 p.m. and there was a man and a woman responsible for our area) was - as can be read in other reviews - hopelessly overwhelmed. We were seated at a table and then apparently erased from memory. Nobody came to take the drinks. Eye contact or gestures were also not possible, as both forces either immediately turned on their heel or left with their heads bowed. After about 30 minutes, one of us literally had to run after the waiter. No apology, no smile, just “I’ll pass it on.” Unfortunately, other tables with angry-looking guests also shared this fate. The service staff had no sense of organization or sense of which guests had been waiting for a long time and so cheerfully served the tables first, which were occupied much later. After about 45-50 minutes we at least had our drink. That was supposed to be the only thing for the whole evening. We weren't even asked for more drinks and communication with the service staff was difficult due to the lack of attention. Our food came around 6:00 p.m. It was hot and attractively presented. It was also tasty, but not so special that we would go there again. Then we wanted the bill. It was again impossible to establish visual contact with the (now 4-5) service staff. The highlight, however, was that a waiter was actually leaning against the wall and playing on his cell phone while his colleagues were running back and forth frantically. We noticed this gentleman negatively at the beginning because he didn't react to our gestures. Again, one of us had to get up and run after someone because of the bill. We paid around 96 EUR for 3 people. Before the management sends their standard sentence to this review again, they should first ask their restaurant management and the service staff to speak to them. You urgently need organization and training for the service. He has to learn to keep an overview even in stressful situations.

I've known the shop for probably 10 years. Before Corona it was really nice. I was last there in 2022 and was extremely disappointed with the food. This is similar to the other reviews. Now I wanted to give the store another chance and was about to make a reservation there for a class reunion. Unfortunately, the store wants my credit card information in return and reserves the right to charge a twenty-dollar fee for each missing nose. I don't think so. I'd rather make a reservation somewhere else.

We expected more tbh. We were waiting for 20 minutes before waiter approached us, then after we ordered we were waiting 40 minutes for starters and 1 hour for main dishes. Starter wasn’t worth of the price, cuz it was small. Buritto wasn't spicy enough and instead was covered with a big amount of sauce that spoiled the taste. The toilet is completely unsanitary and dirty. All the trash cans are full and paper was falling out of them. There was toilet paper all over the floor. A seat is broken in one of the toilets of the women's toilet. There is no soap and no toilet paper. Does anyone even keep order in the toilet? We hoped to have a nice time because of celebration, but everything was spoiled and we had to pay a big price for unpleasant service. I understand that there are not enough waiters, there are not enough cooks, but this means that the owners are saving too much. The drinks were not bad, the waiters were polite and ready to help, but for an institution with high expectations, with such slow work and with such dirty toilets, the prices are too expensive.

Cozy environment, very good and friendly staff

The food was super tasty, lots of vegan and vegetarian options and the atmosphere is really great! The waiters were at the table very quickly and the waiting time was average, around 20. However, the toilet was rancid, the toilet seat was crooked, there was rubbish everywhere and there was no soap, and the water was very cold.

We know the Enchilada from Cologne and were happy when we heard that there was also a restaurant in Bremen. We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. and were there on time. We waited in the small entrance area for about 5-10 minutes to be seated. This should have been quicker or the staff should have informed us that it would take a while. Overall, there is room for improvement at SERVICE when it comes to attentiveness. The drinks and food came quickly and a wobbly chair was replaced quite quickly. However, we actively ordered the food by asking an employee that we were ready and even after the glasses were empty, we were not asked if we could have anything else to drink. Maybe you could have made some money that way. 3/5 stars. The FOOD was great, but not entirely filling, so we shared the chips and dips and I had the churros for dessert. Everything is delicious and also a great selection for people who follow a vegetarian and vegan diet. 5/5 stars. The LOCATION is very cool and surprisingly big. Mexican elements on the walls and cozy, darker lighting make the place quaint. Because it is so big, the volume level is a bit high, which is why it only gets 4/5 stars for this point.

Food is delicious. Cocktails are delicious even if 50% of the glass is filled with crushed ice. On Saturday evening we waited 30 minutes for our food. People next to us who only arrived around 7 p.m. had already been waiting an hour for their food.

Service Arrives Late. In its own way, it is clean, tidy, friendly staff. It is a bit expensive in terms of price and performance, but it is a safe place.

The portions of both drinks and food are a disgrace. Plus I had hair in my food. Oh yes, and 1.5 hours after the store opened, the floor of the toilets was already completely covered in urine. Don't eat here!

Service is a foreign word in this store, even though there are so many around you. The food was also so subpar that you left the store disappointed. Even the cocktail glasses are normal and loveless. Go somewhere else!

It was really the best food, the best service and the best ambience. A blonde young man served us and we laughed like we hadn't laughed in a long time! Definitely a must have for every age group and I will definitely come back on my next vacation!!!!

As is well known, parking on the Weser always involves a small footpath. It's better with public transport. Personally, the enchilada is a bit too loud and restless for me. The Clasica burger with Mexican fries and a total of three drinks cost 35 euros. The food wasn't enough for me, so I cooked something at home. That said, I think it's too expensive for what you get. Enchilada is therefore not on the list of my favorite restaurants.

Very tasty food! Large cocktail selection (with alcohol free ones!). On Thursday all their menu is vegan and everything is delicious. The portions are also generous with cheese 🧀

We were both very satisfied. The food tastes really good and the staff were very hardworking, friendly and committed. Especially the horchata (?) drink is so delicious with the coconut chips on top! How awesome is that? :D Gladly again - we look forward to the next time!!

I spontaneously had dinner here with my husband. We arrived at the cocktail happy hour just in time and took advantage of it. The food came quickly and was delicious. Sometimes it could have been a little more seasoned, but that's a matter of taste. We had a lovely stay and would love to come back! Two employees were talking quite loudly near the bar, with one of them regularly burping loudly, which wasn't that tasty.

Service was fast. Servers were helpful as I don’t speak German. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was lovely by the river. I will definitely be back!

Basically, I would like to express my experience in this establishment in a really constructive way... unfortunately I won't be able to do this entirely in these lines. I don't want to offend anyone here, but since I've already tested this restaurant in other cities, I can't understand the reviews mentioned above. The food, or rather the tacos, let alone the starters, are anything but remotely edible, even if the chef had a bad day.!!! I don't even want to go into the smell of the food. Sorry..., I don't want to overdo this review, but even the attempt to make the food somehow palatable with a "jumbo cocktail" failed, as it apparently only consisted of ice and cola, even though a Long Island Icetea includes at least four alcohol sports. After another attempt (second cocktail of a different type) I gave up and asked for the bill. The aftertaste tormented me for about a few hours and prompted me to leave this review.

Very successful atmosphere in which you can have a good meal. The enchiladas, corn on the cob and sweet potato fries were very tasty, the burger was a bit dry. The drinks were good. The staff very friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back when we're in Bremen again. Worth highlighting is the great coloring book for children and the local children's meals. Finally non-standard schnitzel, nugets and co.

The food is decent, but the drinks are very good. The real stand-out? The happy hour drink deals. You can get absolutely blasted, with good tasting cocktails, for a very reasonable price.

The food, the service and the ambience inside (outside seating not suitable for larger groups) were unfortunately only standard, even at the lower end of the scale. It's just a chain of restaurants and they cook for a large clientele, which affected the taste of the food. Sharpness, yes, is expected there too, but overall average and without a unique selling point. The service staff was obviously overworked, at least that evening, but at least friendly and accommodating. Access to the restaurant interior is not very easy for people with disabilities.

Terrible service. It took almost an hour to bring all the drinks and order the food. On top of that, the waitress came with a bad character. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I love this place! Vegan friendly food (fajita are my favorite), very delicious cocktails (I swear the espresso martini is the best you can find! Ask for it to be served in a tumbler on ice) and I’ve only met sweet and friendly waitresses and waiters. I’ve been coming here for years and I enjoy it every time. Great ambience inside and outside, inside more of an evening bar, outside wonderful for lunch or sunset. The service staff is very communicative, helpful and attentive. We were here several times, on quiet and busy days. We were informed directly about the waiting time on busy days so that we as guests could decide and adjust to when we expected the food can. Gives a great feeling and longer times in a full shop are completely understandable. The drinks are all well balanced and the selection is huge, whether fresh lemonades, long drinks for more alcohol in the taste, cocktails for a variety of tastes or simply a cola, everything is there, on quieter days almost any classic cocktail can be prepared regardless of the menu The bartenders make every effort, provided the ingredients are available, to make someone the right drink - it's just great! The food is super authentic and tastes very close to Mexican food, but we're not in Mexico either, it's simply delicious. I would say everyone will find something here.

There is no service outside. You have to pre-order inside. Unfortunately the pre-order was then given to another guest. Food was okay later. The view of the Weser is of course great. Drinks at the outside counter take a very long time.

Delicious food at the Schlachte, my favorite. I can only recommend it.

Food is great! Everything just tastes great. Were there with six people on Saturday evening. Everyone was very satisfied. Service top, always present. Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated.

An all around lovely evening! From the cocktails to the food, everything was delicious. I personally had a Razz Mojito, which was really, really tasty. The food was also very good. *Fajita Feast* is really highly recommended as there is really something for everyone. We were very satisfied and will come back ✌🏽

It was a really great meal... everything was perfect... our waitress, Jessi, was always very accommodating and always asked if anything was missing... all in all a great shop, top service and top food... go there

I was there for the first time today and I'm thrilled! We had a super nice waitress (Jessi). She served us very quickly & always asked if everything was OK & told us how long happy hour was 🥰 we'll definitely be back! And an absolute plus point is the good air despite the store being full and the fact that you still have the feeling of “being by yourself” and not getting lost in the crowd.

Really delicious and varied food + top service (from Jessi) simply recommended! ps. The espresso martini is really awesome❤️
