My first visit was fantastic... quick and efficient service, a friendly welcome, drinks served immediately, and I was very well looked after. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely world-class! I had an Elrado steak (medium) and a salad to go. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was great.

I've rarely eaten so well. It was a truly wonderful day, ending perfectly. I was already tempted by the pumpkin cream soup beforehand. The meat was as tender as butter. A real treat for the palate. The service was so friendly and attentive. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The whole time, we felt like they were taking care of us. Thank you to the entire staff. We have been regular customers here for over five years and we eat here regularly with family and friends. The manager is very friendly and looks after his guests very well. However, this changes as soon as the manager is no longer in the building and you can assume that things will develop differently. I do have one complaint about the hygiene, which we noticed several times, for example an extremely large number of flies. Of course that can happen sometimes but this is definitely too much - we have had several tables so far and each time the seat was covered in breadcrumbs or similar. The staff are always friendly and attentive. If there was leftover food that we wanted or wanted to take away, there was always a surprise. Overall it's okay but if I'm leaving almost €200 there every time, I expect a certain level of hygiene as standard.

We often eat at Elrado in Lüneburg and are very satisfied there. So we thought, this branch is on our way, maybe it's just as good? The answer right away: unfortunately, no. The staff didn't know what gluten-free meant, which isn't a big deal, I quickly explain. That's why it was very important when ordering: fries aren't allowed, but potatoes are, and without bread. The order came quickly, but with bread. A note that this isn't possible, the plate goes to the kitchen counter, the bread is taken down and offered again. Unfortunately, this isn't helpful for people with celiac disease – a compromise: please at least swap the plate. You'll just have to live with the cross-contamination, but hunger helps. The portions were manageable. The potato was pretty meager. And if you order the rump steak with chanterelles as a seasonal specialty, you'd expect there to be more than 6 (six) small chanterelles? Summer vegetables were specially ordered but not delivered. When we pointed this out a little later, they immediately tried to resupply it. But no, after we'd already eaten more than half, we didn't want any more. I hope it was just a bad day for you, but I don't think we'll be coming back here again.

I went there with my family for a birthday dinner. Very accommodating, as my 3-year-old child didn't fit in a high chair. A very friendly and attentive waitress immediately brought him a raised seat. My 600g steak was delicious, as were the other dishes, my family reports. We felt well looked after and were well looked after.

Wir hatten vorsorglich einen Tisch reserviert, was jedoch gar nicht notwendig war, da wir uns noch einen freien Tisch aussuchen konnten. Die Speisekarte wurde uns sofort gebracht. Nach 25 Minuten, in denen die junge Servicekraft noch keine Bestellung aufnahm und stattdessen im Eingangsbereich, am Tresen, mit den Kollegen plauderte, sprach ich sie höflich an und bat sie, unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Leider reagierte sie sichtlich verärgert, ging zu ihrer Kollegin und sagte ihr, sie solle uns bedienen, da ich sie angesprochen hatte. Die Kollegin nahm schließlich unsere Bestellung auf. Die Getränke wurden schnell serviert, und während wir gerade mit dem Salat begonnen hatten, wurde das Steak bereits gebracht, was vermutlich entweder Schikane oder schlechtes Timing war. Leider war mein bestelltes „Medium Well“ Steak „Rare“ Da die Servicekraft in einem anderen Bereich tätig war, konnte ich das Steak nicht reklamieren. Der Manager half beim Abräumen des Tisches und fragte, ob wir zufrieden seien. Ich erklärte ihm, dass wir unzufrieden waren. Er bot uns einen Kaffee aufs Haus an, den wir dankend ablehnten. Aufgrund des „schlechten Timings“ wurde nur ein Salat und die Steaks berechnet. Das Steakhaus hat unsere Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt. Für uns war es somit der letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

There were 20 of us yesterday. The waitresses constantly asked if we needed anything, like drinks or ketchup for our food. Everything was served at the same time, so no one had to wait much longer than anyone else (which isn't easy with a group this size). The food was very good. I had the fillet steak well done. I highly recommend it. It was nice and juicy and very well seasoned. I'll definitely be back :)

The carpacchio was still frozen and you had to make your own dressing from oil and vinegar, the wildberry iced tea was way too sweet, but the worst thing was the service! I had originally ordered dessert, but because the carpacchio and iced tea were nothing, I canceled the dessert. She then gave me a speech about how she would get in trouble because of me if she took something out of the order, etc. - I then said that the carpacchio was frozen and that I therefore no longer had any incentive to order more food and her reaction was “Oh, yeah, okay”. Not more. No “Oh, I'm sorry, that shouldn't happen, we don't charge for the carpacchio” or “You'll get dessert on the house as compensation” - that would have been good customer service for me. Once and never again.

Immediately after eating I completely vomited and had pain all over my body. I had to go to the emergency room with the doctor and stay there overnight. Diagnosed with food poisoning, one wonders about the quality standards in this restaurant. I've honestly never felt so much pain. I will avoid this restaurant in the future. I will also inform the responsible health authority.

Unser Besuch im Elrado war insgesamt enttäuschend. Die Portionen fielen recht klein aus, was angesichts der Preise wenig zufriedenstellend war. Besonders negativ fiel der Preis für eine Flasche Wasser ins Gewicht – 7 € sind in unseren Augen schlichtweg unverschämt. Auch beim Essen selbst gab es Probleme: Beim ersten Mal bestellten wir eine Baked Potato ohne Sour Cream – was zunächst korrekt serviert wurde. Bei einer zweiten Bestellung erhielten wir dann jedoch plötzlich eine große Kartoffel mit Sour Cream, obwohl wir explizit darauf hingewiesen hatten, dass wir das nicht essen. Als wir dies anmerkten, wurde die Kartoffel nicht ersetzt – ein Umgang mit Gästewünschen, der für uns absolut inakzeptabel ist. Das Fleisch war geschmacklich durchschnittlich, nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts Besonderes. Was leider ebenfalls negativ auffiel: Unsere Servicekraft roch stark nach Rauch – kein besonders angenehmer Eindruck in einem Gastronomiebetrieb. Insgesamt war das Erlebnis für uns enttäuschend – sowohl kulinarisch als auch im Service.

I was there on January 31, 2025. The service was nice and OK. The food is also delicious. I particularly liked that the kids got real breaded chicken breasts and not pureed and reshaped "nuggets." The vegetables on the fitness plate were very good, well fried and fresh. I also found the prices reasonable.

The food was tasty, I ate a grill plate (330g). Unfortunately, the 330g was an indication of where the plate and side dishes were weighed. ABSOLUTE RUDE! When asked, they initially said that this was normal. When asked again, another waiter brought another mini piece of pork. All in all, the store will never see me again

I ate there with a business partner for 110 euros. My business partner had a side dish change (fried potatoes). An extra 50 cents was charged for this. I'm not interested in the 50 cents, but the fact itself is an outrage and cannot be beaten in terms of profit maximization. Maybe “leave the church in the village”. Incidentally, Cola tastes as if it was stored on a heater. Otherwise the food was below average. I was served a RibEye instead of rump steak. Overall too expensive for the quality and overall impression. When I gave the waiter a tip of 8.50 euros, I grumbled a thank you and twisted his facial expression. No, then it's better to drive a little further to Poppenbüttel.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambience: warm, warm and inviting. The first impression was quite positive. Unfortunately, the food massively disappointed expectations. I ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was almost burnt and seemed to have been cooked in old frying fat. When I asked whether this situation was intentional, this was confirmed. After I asked for a replacement, the next schnitzel came after about 40 seconds - but it had the same unpleasant taste of old fat and frying residue. I could hardly eat any of it. The burger my companion ordered was also disappointing. The quality was reminiscent of fast food at best, but without the taste or consistency you'd expect from a good burger. The only thing that was acceptable were the fries and the Coke - but fast food chains could do much better here too. The service team ignored our dissatisfaction. Although it was clear that we had barely touched our dishes (me about 20%, my companion 40%), no one asked for feedback or offered a solution. Instead, we were just quickly checked in, without a word of apology or accommodation. Conclusion: Despite the really nice ambience and a generally friendly atmosphere, I will not visit this restaurant again. The food was of very poor quality and the service team showed no interest in addressing any problems. It's a shame, because the restaurant's potential would be significantly higher with better quality and attention.

Our steaks came almost rare instead of medium rare and the side dishes were cold. The steak was then fried and the side dishes were even colder. At €34 for the steak, not that great. Too bad. I hope for improvement in the future. Unfortunately it's been like this more often now. The service was again very friendly.

A very good restaurant depends on the waiters/service and of course the food. The ambience also plays a role. We were back in Norderstedt today and received very professional, nice and relaxed service as well as great service. The food was - as always - very good. We enjoyed it very much. In terms of furnishings, I personally don't like sitting on top of the gallery - but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise recommended. The prices are humane - not yet taken off and the restaurant is always open, which I think is very nice because you can always go there while other restaurants only open at 5 p.m. or have a day off. I'd love to come back.

Zwar ist das ELRADO nach dem Wechsel des Restaurantleiters vom Service besser geworden (es wird nicht mehr vor dem Kunden gebrüllt), jedoch ist die gebotene Qualität der Speisen weiterhin sehr wechselhaft. Von extrem gut, bis gerade noch genießbar. Es kommt vor, das ein Rumpsteak bestellt wird, aber ein Ribeye kommt. Insgesamt kann man aber hier mit Geschäftspartnern gut Essengehen. Was aber wirklich nervt: Wir haben zu zweit für über 100 Euro gegessen und es wurden uns für eine Beilagenänderung (Bratkartoffeln statt Pommes/Gebackene Kartoffel) trotzdem 0,50 Cent abgezogen. Das ist absolut kleinlich. Zudem machte der ältere Kellner einen unzufriedenen Eindruck, weil er "nur" 9,50 Euro Trinkgeld bekommen hat. Nebenbei ist das Brot sehr oft in der Oberfläche schwarz angebrannt. Insgesamt für ein privates Essengehen aber viel zu teuer.

The steaks were cooked very well and exactly as ordered. A wide selection of drinks. The boss is very close to the action and has an open character when dealing with his guests and employees.
