The Ella is stylish and offers a great ambience. I felt very comfortable. Service was perfect, I never had to wait long for anything and the food was delicious! I'd love to come back!

Despite the total overcrowding on an eventful day, people were polite and friendly in the Bavarian way ;). Gladly again!

Beautifully decorated restaurant. The dishes are well presented and what we ordered was ideal for a balanced lunch. The waiter who took care of us did his best to be pleasant to us. However, the price is a bit expensive...

As I often do, I was at Ella, which to this day is one of my absolute favorites in Munich. Unfortunately, my visit was overshadowed by a very unpleasant experience: Due to a Reich citizens demonstration, the restaurant was unfortunately visited today by people who openly displayed right-wing extremist ideas. It was really depressing no matter where you looked. I would have liked a place like Ella to clearly distance itself from such people. Unfortunately, the opportunity was not used to take a clear stance against extremist ideologies. That's why I'll take the opportunity and distance myself from this restaurant in the future. I would have expected more attitude. Not every sale is worthwhile! It's a shame that no attitude was shown! A restaurant for everyone… will perhaps be one of many arguments. Goodbye Ela

We went to this cafe yesterday and had a lovely time. The employees are very friendly and personable. The cake and drinks were very tasty. The ambience with a view of Königsplatz is of course the cherry on the cake.

Great service with good food for a good price!

The Ella in the Lenbachhaus is ideal as part of a museum visit as well as for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. A reservation is recommended but not absolutely necessary. The risotto with porcini mushrooms is e.g. B. very good, cake and dessert also recommended. There is a terrace and inside you can also sit very nicely by the large windows.

Very unfriendly service, food is mediocre

When we arrived we actually started straight away A lady who was with us was a little older and ran forward to look for a place. She apparently ran a little too closely to the window pane after a waitress and shouted at her in an extremely unfriendly and loud tone that she couldn't get through there and that she would run into the pane. Luckily that didn't happen and it was of course very thoughtful that she pointed it out to them. However, it sounded more like our companion hadn't paid for dinner and had been told what she could think of. It has to be said that our companion was so extremely frightened that we were more afraid that she would have a heart attack instead of running into a window at 0.5 km/h. Then I said But that it can also be done in a more friendly way. But the service didn't like that at all. She became loud again and complained loudly about the “youth”. (I'm not even that young so I'll take it as a compliment, thank you very much!) And she said that next time she would let the older lady go to the window. (We're not coming anymore anyway) So her tone totally distracted from the real problem. Afterwards, of course, she had to explain to the other guests (who were completely disturbed because of the volume) what kind of hero she is and that she just didn't do anything wrong. It was also made clear to the other employees that I was supposedly the problem and that she was not aware of any guilt. It's a shame when you think about the fact that she complained about young people, but reacted quite childishly herself. Another gentleman then served us, he was very friendly. The food was mediocre we ordered a cherry cake and a cheesecake. The cherry cake was good the cheesecake was more salty than sweet and was very dry. The still water was warm rather than cool. There were a few difficulties when paying so we didn't get a receipt. However, the waiter couldn't do anything about it, which of course wasn't a problem.

You can sit there as nicely as you like shade or in the sun. I had a cappuccino with oat milk and really loved the taste. A great place to have a relaxed coffee drink!

Nice place on Königsplatz. Has its crazy price. 1 glass of white wine 12 euros. Eat accordingly. For those who want to pay these prices.

The fries were totally over salted and there was a constant loud beeping coming from the direction of the bar, which was really annoying.

Very tasty food, though the chorizo in my soup was barely visible to the naked eye. Service on the slow side. Ridiculously expensive for what it is. I wonder if the museum benefits from the profits?

I was here for dinner today. I had paprika cream soup as a starter and halibut (fish) as a main course. My husband had an entrecôte medium rare (juicy, reddish inside) - really well done. Both tasted great, with a glass of white wine. Finally a cappuccino (Coffee Vergnago - Italia) nice milk foam and strong coffee taste. I also think the view from the café is very nice. Good location. The staff was also very nice. Unfortunately we were so hungry that we didn't take any photos of the main courses... But everything was beautifully presented.

Wonderful area to sit and socialise with friends for its interior aesthetics or nice location within Königsplatz. Good option to have your breakfast with a big variety of the menu. Good quality of the cafe. The service was great too. Our waiter was very friendly and joked with us as well.

A beautiful restaurant next to the Lenbachhaus museum and Königsplatz. The dishes are delicious and beautifully plated. The menu is not inexpensive but the business lunch offers are relatively good value for the quality.

The restaurant can also be accessed from the Lenbachhaus museum. They organize joint dinners and visits to the museum with a curated menu and a guided tour at a controlled price. I enjoyed an aperitif. Staff not too friendly.

Be careful with the mushrooms, although delicious they might upset you; don’t consume with alcohol and don’t eat the whole dish if you haven’t tried it before!

5 star deluxe, very friendly people, great terrace and fine food.

Breakfast is only until 12, no brunch menu, lunch menu is limited. Not all tables were cleaned, the staff enjoyed some casual banter at the bar more than serving customers. Great location but poorly managed. The bathroom and the furniture also could use some renovation.

Absolutely terrific service. Friendliest I have ever received in Munich! The waitress was extremely nice, efficient, and making an effort to interact not just with me but everyone around. All guests were very pleased. Atmosphere is very pleasant, not crowded, and tables have enough separation that you don‘t listen to the people next to you. Coffee is fantastic, and food is good. Portions are a little small, so just keep that in mind.

We spontaneously went to the Lenbachhaus for the public viewing. They made space for 9 people for us, which was great! Even though Roland Kaiser played at Königsplatz at the same time, everything worked out great! The service was super competent and very kind! We have and felt very comfortable. They tried very hard, even if the transmission didn't work completely smoothly, we had a great football evening! It was nice

Expensive but meh. 8€ for 0.75 liters of water is extortionate, you have to say. But the food and ambience make up for it. If I had more money, I would probably come more often. I found the shrimp salad and the zucchini cherry cake particularly interesting in terms of taste. Latte macchiato was one of the best I've had in Munich so far (it was practically not bitter). Chai latte, but as we all know, very sweet. The view of Propylaea is particularly amazing

When the sun is shining, it's a very comfortable terrace seat... The historic Kónigspkatz tower and museum are on both sides, giving you a great view!!! Although it may seem a bit expensive, I think it's good for lunch, tea time, or as a break after touring the museum. It's quicker and more convenient than U2

Truffle fries were great. Gnocchi and noodles as you would expect from the Germans. Service was very friendly.

Bad, overpriced coffee. Paid €20.40 for 3 cappuccinos on ice. Any sweetened ready mix from the refrigerated section. Incomprehensible.

Mini iced coffee for 8.80 euros. It was tasty, but you can tell the price needs to be explained. My explanation: Energy prices and the minimum wage have an impact. Basically ok But I still don't come here anymore because there are too many smokers sitting outside and bothering non-smokers.

We ended up in this café by chance today and were really impressed. The lemonades, muesli and Bircher muesli were sensationally delicious and also wonderfully prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the service, which is not only friendly and accommodating, but also has a joke for every guest. This made us feel completely comfortable, thank you very much!

They have great location but there staff is very rude.we order a simple drink but we waiting 40min for that and they say its normally so they must respect the customer and our times

Nice here! Munich super prices - less nice. But the service is very attentive, nice and quick, even when there is a lot going on. The food was great - porcini mushroom gnocchi (€26), with a fresh Lugana. Perfect for a little break.

Unfortunately, the service is subpar and the price is unreasonable. I was there yesterday for coffee with a good business contact. The service was initially polite. Half an hour before the end, everything suddenly had to happen very quickly and we were asked to pay immediately. When I asked about the toilet, the waitress replied that she “didn’t know” if there was a toilet. She can tell that nonsense to someone else. If she waits there for god knows how long, she will also know where the toilets are. In a large museum like the Lenbachhaus there are of course toilets. That's not good service. After using the toilet I wasn't allowed in because it was already closed. My jacket and hat were still in the coffee. I had to wait in front of the Lenbachhaus until my contact brought me the clothes. I currently had bronchitis and coughed audibly and visibly during my coffee visit. Given this, the waitress's conclusion to our visit was very rude and inconsiderate. I will drink my coffee elsewhere in the future. The ambience is very bright and flooded with light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. Due to the narrow space, the noise level is relatively high. Overall it's pleasant. The food is OK in terms of taste and quality, but not great.

We had a prosecco at Ella before the exhibition today and were served by an extremely charming waitress. We'd love to come back. .

Drink coffee directly at Königsplatz. I've been to Ella a few times. The café was always very busy, which is why people often sit very close together and it is also relatively loud. You will be seated by the respective service person. The service staff is well utilized, some are very friendly, others not so much. The review of the food is only for cake as I haven't tried anything else. This one was always delicious. There is a selection of different cakes. The ambience is nice and bright and simple. The prices are a little higher than in some surrounding cafes, but the location right on Königsplatz excuses that. All in all, a good place for coffee and cake.

I was in this cafe for the first and last time today. At around 2:45 p.m. I wanted to drink tea and maybe eat a cake but there was a queue. No problem, I thought, according to the internet they are open until 6 p.m. I then went to the Lenbachhaus and then to the cafe at 5:15 p.m. and was initially happy that there was no queue and a few free tables. 2 waiters didn't pay any attention to me (they probably saw me. I even had eye contact with one) but around 5:25 p.m. I was able to talk to a waitress who said that they had stopped taking in because they still had to clean up - so it's open until 6 p.m. but at 5:25 p.m. you can't even order something to drink. The one star you have to give is for the beautiful view of Königsplatz and for the fact that the waitress at least said she was sorry.

The food itself was decent and tasted good. The cream cheese is not the usual cheap stuff but real cream cheese. Toasted bread with herbs is served with the scrambled eggs. The service is completely different. Lunch isn't available until 12 and the response when we asked about it at 11:30 was stroppy at best. Until we had our food, the next table was occupied, ordered, eaten and paid there. The spoons were missing and we received 6 slices of baguette-sized bread for 4 people and had to order more twice.

Ristorante-caffetteria, situato proprio di fronte il Propileo (Propyläen), elegante e accurato, con prezzi a mio modo di vedere abbastanza alti, considerando che nella centralissima Marienplatz si possono trovare ristoranti con prezzi più bassi...Un piatto di paccheri a €22 è un'enormità. Siamo stati accolti e fatti accomodare in una luminosa e raffinata saletta, serviti da una cameriera molto gentile e simpatica. Molto gustosa la focaccia con mozzarella, peperoni e rucola, servita con cavolo viola in un bicchierino. Buona anche la birra.

We had the best french fries at this place! We thought we would get only a small bowl of fries but instead we got the big bowl with perfectly fried fries with truffle sauce, garlic, and parmesan! Yummy!

atmosphere: good atmosphere plus beautiful scenary in front (Königsplazt), food : i took 1.munchener salad with korean chicken 2.truffle pasta with tomato based plus ham-saussages 3.london cheese cake 4.drink Balis 5.capuccino overall good enough eventhough i am taste sensitive person (normally i complain too salty in germany, but not here) ...but service : they did not let me feel thirsty good time managed serve from appetizer to main dish and to dessert course. good service. overall, 50-70 euro per person for full course. price worthy?! not sure though...

Selten so eine geschmacklose Zwiebeltarte gegessen.( Kleines Stück mit bisschen Salat 14 €..Der Salat war okay.) Die 0,2 l Weinschorle 5 €. Dafür war der der Kellner, der mich platziert hat, äußerst unfreundlich. Die Kellnerin drohte um 17 Uhr schon mit Ende der Bestellung. ( Lokal schließt um 18 Uhr) Fazit: Es ist teuer, unfreundlich. Kann es sich leisten, weil die Touristen nur einmal kommen.
