We can't rate the hotel because we only ate there. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly but extremely "bright" - almost a bit hectic. All 3 dishes we ordered were very bland and hardly seasoned. The liver was "fried to death", the chicken had no seasoning. The champions ordered with it were also extremely weak and quite tasteless. Even the orange juice was of very poor quality.

On October 3rd In 24 I was allowed to stay overnight at the Gasthof zur Schweitz. I can't understand some of the recessions here. The room where I slept one night was tidy and clean and had everything I needed. Price-performance ratio TOP. The restaurant was very well attended; The range of dishes on the menu was very well selected and any special requests were fulfilled immediately. The boss and staff were very friendly and attentive, not intrusive when serving. There was also a nice beer garden where you could smoke. I can highly recommend this inn and I spent a good evening there myself and would come back again and again. I wish Ms. Sabine Ring and the team all the best... keep it up.

The inn is located on the edge of Altenburg Süd-Ost, within walking distance through the forest or by car. You can park directly on the street, free of charge. A reservation in advance makes sense. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The food is great, that's why we always like to come here.

We were passing through and were given a very warm welcome at the Gasthof zur Schweiz, despite our late arrival. There is no reception. Our room was unexpectedly perfect, cleanliness was top notch and the furnishings were simple and modern at the same time. Breakfast was served to us at 7:00 a.m. in a separate house.

We had two double rooms for two days, it was so nice, the food, the rooms and, best of all, the staff and the crowning glory was the boss, she was great, everything she made possible was great for that

The apartment offered (instead of two single rooms) was great and inexpensive. Very nice service, tasty dinner and breakfast. The disadvantage is the inability to pay by card (Visa or Mastercard), but an invoice was issued for transfer, which made it easier for us to settle the business trip. I recommend!

Outrageous prices for what's on the plate, the staff is nice apart from the rather grim boss, there wasn't even salad and people understand 2 to 3 pieces as correct. Overall poor performance

I've been ordering food away from home for a few weeks now with mixed logistical results! I was talked out of the fax method at the beginning, but all employees obviously accept the telephone order, with the result, like today, that only one meal is delivered, right It is repeatedly not deposited, so that sometimes no food comes at all, and it is not delivered later, because the justified indignation about the obviously repeating chaos is also expressed in the tone of my voice, because it keeps recurring, and I for I'm paying a service that doesn't really work, at least in terms of implementation. As a third attempt, I'm supposed to give the completed accommodation slip to the driver, which is kind of an indictment. There's no internal change because you're not aware of any guilt! It's not about the food, it's always good! -But the way we work in terms of acceptance, recording and registration is pure inability! The drivers are only as good as their assistance, so even the beautiful red car is of no use... .

Were there on Sunday. First the positive: the loin was good Now to the rest. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly at times. The plates were half empty and therefore the prices were relatively outrageous. Furthermore, no salad plates were offered and 4 croquettes or 3 half potatoes as a side dish seemed more than poor. When it came to dessert, it was also said that there were no raspberries with the sundae because they weren't "seasonal", but sour cherries... All in all, this was more than disappointing and you should avoid the restaurant on the weekend.

The inn also offers rooms to stay overnight. We spent one night here on our bike trip. We were able to park the bikes safely on the terrace behind the house. For breakfast you get freshly prepared egg dishes of your choice.

A great inn with great breakfast and dinner. Friendly and courteous gastronomy. The boss is the good soul of the whole house. I was very pleased.

Very nice restaurant, nice, hard-working staff. The food is still reasonably priced, but the cuisine lacks a bit of pizzazz. E.g. some parsley, a lettuce leaf or cucumber.

We were at the “Zur Schweiz” inn today for a family celebration at Bruch and we can report absolutely positive things. The food, whether warm or cold, was really delicious, prepared and served with love. The conditions were all very, very friendly and fulfilled every wish. And what is of course also important, the price/performance ratio is unbeatably good. We were definitely not there for the last time. Thank you very much for this completely successful day.👍👍

Were there for lunch. Very disappointed with the menu. Ordered schnitzel with vegetables. Unfortunately, the schnitzel is not home-made, ready-made products, as well as the vegetables only come from a bag. I expected more there.

Due to the massive protests all over Germany, I was looking for a room. After a short phone call with the staff, I was assured of a room at short notice. I was super surprised at what a great room I got, everything was clean and comfortably furnished (just great) The breakfast was also plenty fresh and extremely tasty 😘😘😋. The staff were also very friendly and in a good mood and were always up for a joke. Thank you very much to all of you once again and I can only recommend it. Price performance is mega good. We stayed in the guesthouse for 4 days and are completely satisfied. Shortly before our arrival we found out that we needed two more beds for one night 🤔, a quick call and the manager of the guesthouse found the solution and we were quickly accommodated in one of the holiday apartments. These were well furnished with everything you needed and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was completely sufficient with everything your heart could desire. Fresh rolls, scrambled eggs, sausage…. The lunch and dinner were also very, very, very tasty. Home-style home cooking, good portion size, super tasty and honestly unbeatable in price. Anywhere else you would pay significantly more for a comparable meal. The staff and also the boss were super super nice and always had a kind word. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it.

I can't comment on the room as we only ate there. The service was absolutely top, as was the food. A very inviting atmosphere. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a table. The prices are really great. Very nice and attractive waitresses who not only do their job, but do a lot more than that. This is how I know Thuringian hospitality! We'll definitely be happy to come back! Thanks so much!!!!!
