Elinaki Mezedopolion in Ulm

Great experience, although I was hoping to meet people who live and breathe Greek hospitality. But it wasn't like that and you meet a young female team in service who is nice and attentive, no reason to complain! As a “Greek by choice”, I am someone who sets the bar very high when it comes to Greek food and restaurants. Like I said, I missed the Greek vibe here. Nobody speaks Greek nor is Greek, I suspect, and so I personally miss something when I visit. The shop is hip and modern, I like it, but not necessarily for Greeks. Of course, there are also countless modern and hip tavernas in my adopted home of Athens, but there is still something authentic that was missing here. As I already wrote, this is my personal - high - standard which I can in no way use as a yardstick, but I still wanted to make this known. The food was great! The tzatziki was probably the best I was able to eat outside of Greece, top! Fava also very tasty. Tirokafteri is delicious, but not as we know it, unfortunately too creamy. The Ntakos was delicious but, as far as I know, there was no cucumber in it. Unfortunately that bothered me - but my companion enjoyed it excellently. Souvlaki delicious but without any side dishes. I'm used to at least having fries there. But that's what it said on the menu, so nothing was missing. Sardine fillets were delicious, offered in an olive oil-lemon sauce but unfortunately the lemon flavor was missing for me. They were tasty nonetheless. Unfortunately, the portions were quite small and quickly “inhaled” by two people. For me the price/portion size ratio wasn't really right. Unfortunately, Ouzo is only available as a 4cl “shot”, at least with ice, but no 200cl bottles with ice or water. Too bad. When I asked about it, I was looked at with wide eyes and asked if I really wanted a whole bottle of ouzo. What was meant was the liter bottle; they didn't know anything about the usual 200cl version. All in all, a visit where you got your money's worth in terms of cuisine, but not in terms of the size of the portions or the otherwise typical Greek flair. Unfortunately too hip for me... I probably wouldn't come back, but for someone who "only" cares about good food, it's recommended.

The food is absolutely recommended and it's always worth it. Nothing to complain about, came to the table quickly and warm. However, service is very poor. We asked again for the cards because we wanted to order desserts and a second round of drinks. The waitress simply walked past us several times without looking and talked to friends behind us - and there wasn't so much going on that you could say it was very stressful. After a long wait, she finally came over again (waving) and thought we wanted to pay. When we ordered again, we were expressly informed of this and asked whether we could do it in 20 minutes, since we had to leave promptly at 7 p.m. At exactly 7 p.m. the glasses were cleared away and the table was cleaned while I still had a sip in my glass. So we were really urged to get up and leave now (we had already paid beforehand). We also didn't have the impression that many new people were waiting for a table and really wanted to sit outside. Which is why it certainly wouldn't have been a problem to let us sit for another 5 minutes, drink comfortably and leave in peace. We knew that we would only have the table until 7 p.m. but being rushed like that wasn't okay either. It's a shame, I hope the service gets better and it was a one-time thing.

Sehr leckeres Essen in tollem Ambiente. Nur der Zeitslot von 1,5 Stunden ist etwas knapp bemessen. Da man in diesem Restaurant kleinere Speisen auch meistens noch nachbestellt, hat man das Gefühl, die Zeit reicht kaum aus.

A small, quite popular restaurant in Ulm. Here you won't find the typical Greek, but rather a selection of many small dishes from Greek and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. You sit quite close to each other here, the staff is very friendly and the food is delivered quickly.

Very nicely decorated restaurant, large outdoor restaurant. Great, friendly staff and an extensive, typically Greek menu. Portions are more like tapas, clear but very tasty. Unfortunately some of it was already lukewarm when served... a small minus point. Be sure to reserve in the evening!

The food and service is very good and you also feel comfortable. What I didn't like at all, however, is that after a certain time you are quickly charged and then you have to free the table for other guests. I don't like this time slots.

Zurecht ist dieses Restaurant so gut besucht. Unbedingt reservieren. Leckere Kleinigkeiten aus der griechischen Küche. Drei bis vier kann man schon essen. Ich hatte Zucchiniküchlein, Bifteki und gekochte Calamari. Alles köstlich. Der rote Hauswein ist gut und hat mit 6.90 für 0,5 l einen angenehmen Preis. Ich geh wieder hin.

Very tasty Greek tapas. Very nice atmosphere. Store was super busy! Service was a bit forgetful, super stressed… some of the dishes were taken away even though there was still food on them. And even though you were still in the middle of eating, the table had to be cleared for the next guest... sorry, absolutely incomprehensible - then the food comes faster and getting rid of guests who are still eating and want to continue ordering is an interesting concept. Definitely recommended from a culinary point of view - very tasty, exceptional dishes!

Kudos to the staff. Under time pressure they didn't appear stressed but rather energetic. I was served quickly and extremely friendly.

I'm happy to come back, although not as often as I used to because I now prefer other places. The taste of the food remains a 10/10 – there’s really nothing to complain about here! Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio has deteriorated in some areas. The portions have become significantly smaller and unfortunately the food only arrived lukewarm. While the zucchini cakes are still fairly priced, other dishes are no longer as convincing: the beetroot feta has shrunk significantly, and getting just three thin strips of halloumi for €6.40 is already borderline. A farmer's salad for €10 isn't exactly priced fairly either. What remains positive is that the wine selection is still reasonably priced and the restaurant itself is still very nice. The chairs could be more comfortable, but that's a matter of taste. All in all a good restaurant, but with room for improvement in terms of price and portions!

Despite Google saying it wasn't too busy, the place was packed to the brim. The waitress was really nice and offered me a spot in the bar 🫡 The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly nice. I come to Ulm regularly, and will start coming to this place more often!

The food is good and sufficient if you order 2-3 things per person. This makes it easy to share with each other in a group. It was a little too warm in the restaurant for our taste but that may have been due to the glass front. Depending on the space, the chairs can also be a bit uncomfortable in the long run.

Elinaki in Ulm offers delicious food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff friendly, making it a very nice choice for a pleasant outing.

There were 4 of us on a Wednesday evening. Sat at the large, long table in the middle. We received great service - big compliments to the service staff (blonde, probably there for 4 years)!!! ☺️ The food came quickly and was very tasty. Everyone was full :D Big plus point: everything is gluten-free and vegetarian UNLESS it is marked differently on the menu. It was super easy to eat your way through the menu despite being gluten intolerant!

Wir waren mittags zum Essen hier. Die Online Reservierung hat super geklappt! Das Essen war gut und der Service äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man muss halt schon etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen um hier ein paar kleine Mezze zu speisen!

Unfortunately I can only give one star today. We reserved 12 days in advance and were also in the booking system. Unfortunately there was no space left. We were really looking forward to this evening and came especially from Gerstetten to celebrate our birthday. We were then kindly offered a drink on the house at the bar, but we were really hungry. Mistakes happen - no question about it - but unfortunately it was somehow very unreliable.

Fresh breath of air… Great atmosphere and delicious food. If you like Greek cuisine this restaurant must be your go-to place. Kudos to service quality

This was our second time eating here. Unfortunately it was so loud that you could only have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. There was also a lot of confusion when ordering. One was delivered incorrectly, the other didn't arrive at all and even after the 4th reminder it wasn't delivered. This went on until the kitchen suddenly closed.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the evening because of an alleged slight... I ordered a bottle of house wine 0.5l. Very small, art water glasses were brought with the house wine. My polite request for a normal wine glass was seriously not honored. I just don't like drinking wine out of anything other than wine glasses. Even after my mother tried a second time and offered to pay an extra charge, I was refused the glass. Mind you, there were around 100 beautiful wine glasses behind the bar. I was just told that if I wanted a glass like that, I had to order an open wine... I find it a shame and honestly subterranean in terms of service to deny a paying guest a simple request. Unfortunately that was my last visit there. And I won't miss any opportunity to continue telling the story. I almost felt sorry for the girls from the service because they found it strange themselves, but the boss was stubbornly insisting on it.

Elinaki was wonderful as always! Lovely food, pleasant atmosphere and fantastic staff and guests! One thing I missed this time is when I mentioned that it's been my husband's Birthday, usually most restaurants provide a small surprise token - a cake or smth very tiny to memorize this. Elinaki did not do it, hence I was a bit disappointed. But otherwise a very nice place.

I really enjoy going to Elinaki. It's not a typical Greek restaurant, more of a new idea of ​​"Greek". So you don't order a simple plate of any food here, but rather choose what you want from many dishes. The food itself is brilliant and you get the feeling that you are not in Ulm but on a white chalk cliff in warm Greece. So far I have always been able to get two or three seats very spontaneously and have always been served politely and around Ulm.

I really love this restaurant. I've only known the concept of tapas from Mexican/Spanish cuisine. The tapas are a really nice way to try things out. Quality of the meat and overall at a high level. Everything is freshly prepared.

Very disappointing. The store is just hyped and I have absolutely no idea why. Ridiculously small portions even for a tapas shop. The sardines taste like they come from a can. The grilled halloumi really only consists of three 0.5cm thick slices of halloumi. If you order 3x dip you will receive a small basket with 6 pieces of pita for 4 people (approx. 2x2cm each). At first we thought they had forgotten it and asked for pita two more times (according to the menu, every dip comes with pita), then the bill showed 2.90 per basket. Water with sparkling water has itself bubbled up and therefore brings death to the table. In terms of price, you need around €35 ​​per person to be full. Not full. However, the staff was nice and everything was very clean. There was no waiting time. Zero risk of recurrence, but at least we were able to form an opinion.

I had the pleasure of visiting Elinaki Greek Restaurant and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic, which immediately gives you a feeling of vacation. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes, and everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The moussaka and souvlaki are particularly recommended – simply heavenly! The service was friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. I can only recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We were warmly welcomed and escorted to the table. The friendly and very attentive staff responded directly to our children (children's chair, fries with less salt, children's cutlery). The food was prepared very quickly and was very tasty and light. The sweet potato fries were super crunchy. The many windows ensure cold air. It could have been a little warmer for us here. Overall, a great stay where the kitchens and service staff deserve high praise. We would love to come back. Thanks for the great time!

The food is always very tasty. Two weeks ago we had the friendliest and most accommodating service ever on a Monday evening. I would have given 10 stars for that. Today on Saturday evening I perceived the service to be very arrogant. The atmosphere was anything but pleasant. Both times we sat at the counter. Unfortunately it is always very loud inside. Counter staff who also clatter with cutlery, glasses, etc. contribute to this.
