Elbelandhaus in Magdeburg

Nice ambience. Big prices.....small portions. Scattered with chopped lettuce leaves so that the plate doesn't look so empty. Fried potatoes as a side dish don't cost the world. Why are people so stingy with it?

Finally. The 2025 outdoor season has begun. You can also enjoy an after-work beer outdoors here, in sunshine and a chilled atmosphere. But beware of the drink price list, which at "Elbelandhütte 1" (today!) doesn't seem to be up to date or doesn't reflect what's on offer (even today).

The food was very tasty but unfortunately it wasn't enough if you were very hungry. But it was very nice and totally delicious. Highly recommended

I can recommend the Elbelandhaus in Magdeburg! We had a very good lunch there today. The service was also very friendly and competent. Without a reservation, the two of us were just able to get a table. We'd love to come back!

Service and ambience are excellent and very nice waiters, but the meat quality is very poor. Somehow I don't know that from Elbelandhaus, there was always excellent food. We didn't dare to return the food because the waiters were so nice. I think that was definitely an exception,

Bisher von mehreren Besuchen mit positiven Erfahrungen sind wir heute enttäuscht worden. Das Essen war nichts Besonderes. Ohne Ehrgeiz zubereitet. Den Kellner mussten wir heran bitten, um Getränke nachbestellen und später bezahlen zu können. Obwohl es recht wenig Gäste gab. Wir kommen vorerst nicht wieder!!! Sehr schade.

Friendly service and good food. The menu is reduced compared to previous visits, but there is still a good selection of dishes.

Super nice staff. Very accommodating and polite. Service staff think a lot and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The air in the location is very bad. Airing it out every now and then or a ventilation system would be great. Otherwise, the food was in the middle price segment, but the quality of the food was so-so. Creme Brüle without the crunch. The pike perch still had good bones and was extremely small and the fried potatoes were more like potato wedges. It can definitely happen and doesn't have to be the norm. In any case, the staff was very attentive and the drinks were good.

Really good food. Despite the obvious stress, friendly and funny service. Great ambience and beautiful surroundings. If we end up in Machdeburch again, we'll come back! Clearer 👍🏻

A small, fine menu with delicious dishes. I would have liked to give it five stars, but - even though it was a Saturday evening - everything took a bit too long. 15 minutes until the greeting, the first order was taken and over an hour until the food was served. Service was flawless, unfortunately it was a bit “cool” in the winter garden. The fireplace had burned down. Nonetheless, 100% recommended.

The Elbelandhaus invites you to linger. The cozy atmosphere, plus very polite and friendly service make it a great evening. The food was delicious and small requests were catered for. Dogs are immediately provided with a bowl of water and small children are given crayons and a separate children's menu. We'd love to come back!

Eating goose at Elbelandhaus was the best decision. Even the long journey from Hanover was totally worth it!!!!! The staff was very friendly. We don't have to wait long for the food. The taste was excellent. We can 100% recommend this beautiful restaurant

Very nice place to rest Sunday afternoon sunshine and lots of walkers in and around the place in question, but 2 stalls for 1 seller. Snacks not possible in 30 minutes, I might have time for n sausages. I have to do other things. Staff totally overwhelmed, which I completely understand, but if I had no understanding for it, you would have 1 The situation was too relaxed and only drinks were offered, it would also be good - it's just not the time of year when you have to prepare for a lot of guests. Sunday was a stroke of luck as far as the weather was concerned, the operator could have been prepared for it as far as the staff were concerned...it's going to go wrong...it's not working anymore today.

The service greets us on a first-name basis. Disrespectful! Drinks came upon request. There were more staff petting the dogs than with us as guests. There were 8 of us. And 6 times the conclusion = catastrophe. Seldom eaten so badly. The owner should eat in his own house again to “enjoy” it Sorry, never again!

We found the food to be very good. Although not excessive, it's still very good. Very tasty from the starters to the dessert. Another positive thing to mention is the service. Extremely friendly and we didn't have to wait long. We really liked it.

I have on October 6th. 24, I hosted a celebration in the “Elbelandhaus” with my family, who came from large parts of the old federal states. The fantastic gastronomy I experienced and was offered there was simply great. I can only recommend this location. If you then enjoy the location and the surrounding area everything is perfect. I would like to thank the entire TEAM - you will definitely see me there again.

I visited the restaurant with my wife and daughter. The service is very nice and friendly and the place is nice. However, the food is not good... The portions are small and not very tasty. The venison goulash is just ridiculous, very small portions and a total of 4 tiny pieces of meat on the plate in the sauce, the dumplings aren't even real dumplings, and all for 26 euros. This is not worth the price at all. We didn't really like the other dishes either. This is far from what I would consider quality. So, the place is good, the team is good, but something is wrong in the kitchen, even though we came here primarily for the food, and maybe they need a new head chef.

We imagined more about it, the furnishings were kept dark, we only ate ☕️ and 🍨 Menu was more convincing than the order, unfortunately no ice cream sundae but only a glass, even the cappuccino cup of small latte was more like coffee with milk, unfortunately too much was paid for the price, the house is right next to it the Elbe is surrounded by cycle paths and parks,

Schöne Lage, guter und netter Service, das Essen eine Unverschämtheit. Die Salatbeilage auf dem Teller eklig und die „zwei“ Pfifferlinge in der Fertigsoße (Poularde mit Pfifferlingen) leicht zu finden. Der Windbeutel mit Vanilleeis und Eierlikör eine Enttäuschung. Wir werden dort nicht mehr einkehren.

Today we spontaneously went to the Elbelandhaus for dinner during the week (Thursday). At 1 p.m. we wanted to have lunch for two. We couldn't find the entrance door at first and we didn't get a seat right away because a large part of the restaurant was reserved. After 5 minutes of waiting, we got a seat...unfortunately with a view of a wall...a shame, as other places with windows would even have a view of the Elbe. The choice of food is manageable, but that's basically a good sign, as emphasis is placed on quality and not quantity. Drinks arrived quite quickly, the food took a while but the waiting time was perfectly fine. During the meal a tour group arrived and the noise level increased considerably. Food was very good and sufficient. We had the pike perch with cucumber salad and the chicken with chanterelles. It was also reasonably priced. All in all, I can definitely recommend the restaurant... just reconsider spontaneous visits and make a reservation in advance. The location invites you to take a walk along the Elbe afterwards and the terrace is certainly very nice in summer. We'd love to come back.

The service team adapts to the "swarm behavior" of a large group (sometimes sitting inside and sometimes outside), are attentive and very polite. That is exactly the service that I value. Thanks. Ambiance. Beautiful. Just right. Not too much, but not too little either. It's very comfortable to sit inside and outside. Surrounded by meadows and trees.

Very nice surroundings near the Elbe and nice inn and terrace. Food very delicious, good quality products, but unfortunately somewhat small portions. The staff were sometimes a bit rude in their statements, but still friendly.

I was here for a celebration and we were in the room on the first floor. We had a buffet, which was generally tasty, but a little tight, especially the vegetables. Drink orders took a while to arrive, but it was also busy. Of course, the location and the terrace on the 1st floor are particularly nice.

Went there for the Riverside@night event in the beer garden. It was quite nice. Unfortunately the A-spritz was totally watered down, didn't taste good and wasn't worth the money... It's a shame...

We celebrated our wedding reception in a small group in the Elbelandhaus. Reserved the table for 20 people 5-6 months in advance. Good arrangement for the day. The table was beautifully set and the guests were completely happy. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was also okay.

I ordered a table at the Elbelanhaus for lunch for the first time. Since we were coming from a funeral, I ordered the table a little to the side, not so large. Our table was very far away in a corner of the dining room and next to the entrance to the toilets. The window sills were so covered in small flies and cobwebs that we asked the waitress to wipe them away first. The unfriendliness of the service was catastrophic, no hello, the drinks order was mixed up so we had to guess who was doing what to whom. We didn't ask if we wanted anything else, so we took care of it ourselves, waited an hour for us to ask when the food was coming, the food was lukewarm, the portions were far too small for this price range. Dessert was ordered 3 times and only came twice when asked There was no response so we canceled it and paid. To our observations, the other guests were excellent served. Only our table was put on siding from the start. An employee was asked about our situation, which was ignored and dismissed with ease. I was very disappointed, as were my invited guests. It should be a contemplative day for a special person. I will not recommend this restaurant.

Today we were drawn to the city park on this beautiful sunny day, where we stopped in the beer garden of the Elbelandhaus. There are delicious grilled specialties prepared with love and, at our request, a delicious vegetarian version was even created. Simply wonderful with a cyclist and beautiful music in green surroundings!

We have known the Elbelandhaus for a very long time and have eaten there every now and then and have always been satisfied. This time we had a family celebration and were disappointed. My aperitif Deja-Vu was missing rosemary. The service's response was succinct, we don't have one. I expect this information when ordering, then I would have chosen something else. Empty glasses stood on the table for ages, no one asked if you wanted something more to drink. You had to make yourself noticeable to get more drinks. The food took a long time, which was okay, there were a few of us and they certainly wanted to serve everything together. My meat was great, unfortunately the beans weren't at all, they reminded me a lot of "Iglo Bacon Beans" in taste and appearance. Rump steaks were well over cooked (medium), dry and became more and more mouth-watering. No apology, despite the steak being left behind and a note to the staff. Potato gratin didn't taste good. Schnitzel much too dark and dry. Price-performance ratio with the food used is out of all proportion. It's a shame that the quality of the food and service has deteriorated so much.
