We've been going there for various celebrations and events for many years. It's always been a pleasure, and we've always looked forward to the next one. The staff is always courteous, friendly, and unassuming, and Lars, who practically anticipates each guest's every need. You could feel their passion for this job (which isn't just a job). With that in mind, we look forward to our next visit.

We were out cycling and spontaneously stopped at the snack bar. The service was pleasant and friendly. We even got a delicious tomato soup to go with our meatball in a bun. The table and benches invite you to linger. We'll be back!

Beer garden at the Elbelandhaus: Great and peaceful ambiance. The cocktails are excellent, and the food is of a different quality. Not what you'd expect from a beer garden. Some restaurants could learn a thing or two from that.

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. After all, eating is a visual experience. I often come with my mom in her wheelchair, and there's always help available when we need it. So, I'd be happy to come back.

At the edge of the Klosterbergegarten, not far from the Gruson greenhouses—my favorite spot on the Elbe—is the Elbelandhütte beer garden. With Mario in the kitchen and Nils at the bar, your culinary needs are taken care of. An absolute recommendation in every respect. Good luck!

Super annoyed unfriendly service

I actually wanted to give a negative star, but that doesn't work with this system. Maybe the restaurant is good... But we had a bad experience, and it was handled very unfriendly. There were plenty of free tables in the beer garden, so we stopped for dinner and a drink. The waiter ignored us, though... We still waited. The waitress came over and the first thing she said was, "Do you have a reservation?" "NO..." "IT TAKES 1.5 hours - why?" "We're having a private event." "OK, then we'll just have a drink..." "It takes just as long." "Thanks, but it's unnecessary." "There are other ways to do this... e.g., with a sign."

The food was very good, and the menu had a sufficient selection. The service was excellent. The young man and woman were very friendly and accommodating. Very nice ambiance. We would definitely recommend it 👍

We arrived relatively late in the evening with a larger group. The beer garden was great, but they still need to work on communicating what food was available. We were all full, though, and the food was very good! The restaurant next door delivered fries with mayo and ketchup, at least for the kids, without any fuss. That's all we could do... Entrepreneurship and flexibility are different! I even threatened them with money, but it didn't help. Too bad... There's still room for improvement! 😎🤣

We spent a wonderful evening at Riverside @ Night yesterday, just like we have for many years. Great food, great drinks, cool live music, and a magnificent view of the Elbe. Not to mention the excellent service and friendly staff, who take excellent care of their guests. A huge thank you to everyone!

We were there for a birthday dinner. Everything was excellent! The staff was super friendly! The food was super, super delicious! I'm still raving about the rump steak. I can recommend it 100%. The desserts are also delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Waren mit einer großen Runde dort Geburtstag feiern. Die Lokation ist sehr schön, mit Biergarten etc. Direkt an der Elbe. Leider waren die Damen vom Service nicht wirklich hinterher und ließen einen auch gerne mal warten. Freundlichkeit auch anderen Gästen gegenüber muss noch geübt werden. Das Essen war allenfalls ok. Hähnchen beim Salat nicht wirklich durch bei Außentemperaturen von 27 Grad, ist nicht akzeptabel. Trotz toller teurer Siebträger Gastromaschine schmeckte der Espresso besch… Da muss unbedingt nachgebessert werden, wenn das Restaurant langfristig überleben soll. Wirklich schade. Werden so schnell dort nicht mehr hingehen.

We discovered this restaurant by chance on our first visit to Magdeburg. We were treated courteously from the very first reservation, as we were running late due to our schedule and needed a certain amount of flexibility. A beautiful, tastefully coordinated ambiance and friendly, yet unobtrusive staff welcomed us warmly. There were three of us, each with different food and drink preferences. Everything was delicious. In better weather, we would have liked to sit outside; the proximity to the Elbe and the outdoor beer huts were simply very inviting. It quickly became clear that we would return here on our second and last evening in the area. Everything was delicious again; the friendly waitress from yesterday remembered our orders—which is truly unusual these days—and chatted pleasantly with us. We tried other suggestions from the menu, and the food, from appetizer to dessert, was once again excellent. If we're ever in Magdeburg again, this will be our first choice! Many thanks to the professional team; this makes eating out a pleasure and not just filling hungry stomachs. Greetings from the Taunus in Hesse.

View of the Elbe River, nice outdoor seating, but unfortunately, we didn't like the food. The price/performance ratio isn't right, which is a shame given the great view.

I can highly recommend the Elbelandhaus. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there with the family. The ambiance, both inside and out, was lovely. The staff was very friendly, witty, and solution-oriented. The food is highly recommended. The only negative thing I would like to mention was that the windows inside couldn't be opened to allow some air circulation. Not exactly pleasant in high temperatures. I thought it was fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the music was a huge hit on Sunday. The price-performance ratio is completely justified. A large selection of drinks and food. I will recommend it to others and will also visit more often myself.

Three of us ate at the restaurant on Sunday. We received a very friendly welcome and lacked nothing. Super fast and friendly service, and the food was also incredibly delicious. Since there was live music in the beer garden, we switched there. I can only recommend it. Super delicious drinks, my husband's favorite beer on tap—what more could you want, and such a great, friendly team working at the beer garden. We wish we could give it 10 stars. A wonderful place to stop for us Magdeburgers, for cyclists on the Elbe Cycle Path. The Elbelandhaus also offers a great atmosphere and excellent cuisine for family celebrations and other events. In my experience, it's simply a very good address in Magdeburg.

Waited almost 45 minutes for a Carpaccio while the restaurant was almost empty. When taking the order we were not asked if we wanted a main course. When we wanted to order something later it turned out that our preference was sold out. Service unfriendly. Decor old-fashioned.

We waited over 30 minutes for drinks, no food, and this in a lightly frequented restaurant. The service was disinterested and completely uncoordinated. No apology, no information—just ignored. This is customer-unfriendly and unprofessional. We definitely won't be back.

The location is fantastic – just a few steps from the Elbe River – and in the beautiful summer weather, we were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the atmosphere. Special praise goes to our waitress Franzi: friendly, attentive, competent, and very quick despite the large number of guests – exactly the kind of service you'd want! I had the veal liver with mashed potatoes – absolutely delicious! The liver was perfectly cooked, the mashed potatoes were creamy with tiny pieces of potato (just the way I like it), and the brown sauce tasted like it was made by a professional. The homemade lemon iced tea was also impressive. The value for money is very good overall. My only minor criticism: The cucumber salad, while tasty, was a bit pricey at €4.90. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with outstanding cuisine, great service, and a beautiful location. We'd love to come back – a definite recommendation!

We ate at the Elbelandhaus today because, after lots of recommendations, we thought you couldn't go wrong. But we were wrong! First the positives: the location and ambience are really great, but that's about it! The service was downright unfriendly and snippy; everything took a very long time, even though it wasn't overly busy. When we finally got our food, we were more than disappointed. I had a salmon fillet that was slightly burnt in places and absolutely dry; it's actually reprehensible that the fish had to die for such a poor presentation. The sauce tasted of nothing, and the dollop of tagliatelle was almost outrageous for the price. The quality of my companions' dishes was hardly any better, and during the entire meal, no one asked if everything was okay, nor were there any requests for drinks, even though most of the drinks on the table were empty. All in all, a bad visit and definitely our last, as the service and quality definitely don't live up to what they try to present and what we expected. What a shame.

We stopped at the Elbelandhütte on our bike tour. The roasts were freshly roasted for us and were delicious. The owner is really nice. We'd love to come back.

We ate there today for the first and last time. I had aspic for 20.00 euros. A lettuce leaf as decoration was completely dried out. My wife's liver was dry and very tough. We waited for 45 minutes until the food was served. When I complained to the waiter, I only got a shrug. At least I expected an apology. Portions too small and completely overpriced. There will not be a second visit for us. First of all, I think it's great that people look at the reviews. I just can't understand how you get the impression from my review that my companion didn't have any complaints. Actually, I also rated the dish with the liver, which was very tough. My companion had strong complaints about this. It's enough if someone writes the review. Your ambiance is great, I can confirm that. But our main concern was to eat with you, not to visit your restaurant. As a chef, however, I must know that I am not allowed to put salad under a heat lamp, even if it is only for decoration. I also criticized your portions, which unfortunately fell far short of what you advertised. The wait time for the dishes to be served was simply too long. This is also something that other guests often complain about. Your restaurant wasn't very busy during our visit. A good restaurant is also characterized by smooth service, even when it's busy. Nevertheless, thank you for responding to my review.

The food and cocktails were very tasty. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. When we ordered we were necessarily friendly and after that we weren't served at all. We would have liked to order something else, but we didn't have the opportunity to do so. Even when there were only a few other guests there, we were ignored.

We were in the beer garden and had a really good time. Price/performance absolutely ok! Mario's asparagus soup was great and very large for €7.50 and made with love! We were also able to order fries in the restaurant and eat them outside. The service was very friendly, not a given these days! Thank you!

We were accidental visitors today and not from Magdeburg either. Simply wonderful! Even in cloudy weather, the location is a pearl on the Elbe. You can choose, very cozy beer garden or restaurant. Both great. In addition, first-class hosts. 100% recommendation and we would love to come back🙃

Easter lunch 2025 - a complete disaster! Completely overcrowded, the restaurant was so packed that guests walked over tables and benches. Food wasn't delivered quickly enough. Quality of the food corresponded to a bad canteen. Service staff at the table exactly once, then never happened again. Drinks arrived after 30 minutes and the staff didn't even know where to go. Reordering is simply not possible, nor is clearing away. Dirty dishes throughout the restaurant, including the buffet. Summary: never again! EDIT 04/30/25: The operator's response is a joke. But this requires me to make another comment! It was a closed party and tickets for the Easter lunch were sold in advance. So you knew exactly what to expect. To speak of being “overrun” is actually completely wrong, because there were simply no walk-in customers that day and the outside area was almost completely empty when we were there. The restaurant was very deliberately “crammed full” in order to maximize profits, with bad food and lots of paying guests. It tastes the same in the canteen at work and costs a fraction.

The glasses in the beer garden should be cleaned and checked before serving. In some cases herpes is already suspected

Were there on Monday, so p.p. 35 € and then a water bottle on top - that's absolutely excessive and overpriced for the very small offer, especially since there was hardly anything left. It's a shame and unfortunately we won't repeat it. Because for the money there are definitely better offers elsewhere and significantly more choice. There was no food for 35 euros per person and children's prices are also exaggerated.

We went to Easter lunch with the family today. Unfortunately, for a price of almost €35 per person, the food was sometimes very bland and unseasoned, the fish was dry and the potatoes were hard. A bottle of 1 liter. There was already water on the table when we arrived, which cost a whopping €6.90. It wasn't pointed out that it would cost extra. We all expected more for this price

Finally. The 2025 outdoor season has begun. You can also enjoy an after-work beer outdoors here, in sunshine and a chilled atmosphere. But beware of the drink price list, which at "Elbelandhütte 1" (today!) doesn't seem to be up to date or doesn't reflect what's on offer (even today).
