The food was delicious. Perhaps the salad could be served with a dressing. The loud music in the restaurant was unfortunately a bit distracting.

The food was excellent, I would gladly come again.

The restaurant's manager, Mr. Heyden, also owns the Irxleben residential complex. He is a very unfriendly landlord who insults and threatens his tenants and kicks apartment doors (when the tenant is closing them), injuring them. The apartments are in a complete disaster (he renovates them himself without really knowing what he's doing). The walls aren't insulated, and despite heating, the apartment is cold, which naturally leads to rapid mold growth. The apartment is generally very damp, and the windows leak (the rubber seals are porous). He barely reacts to reports of these defects, let alone fixes them. I wouldn't recommend anyone rent one of these apartments. Since the Irxleben residential complex appears on Google through its restaurant, I have to post this review here.

Not only does Mr. Heyden run a restaurant, but he's also a landlord—a landlord who threatens his tenants. His apartments are a complete mess, full of mold, leaky windows, and the long-term tenants are afraid to speak up for fear of eviction. There's only one favorite tenant for him, so, dear friends, if you're looking for an apartment, don't look here. He seems nice at first, but then he shows his true colors: insults, threats, and so on. His apartments aren't worth the money.

Disappointing. A 30-minute wait despite the restaurant being fairly empty. The schnitzel and mushroom sauce were tasteless. What a shame.

Visited the restaurant with friends. The service staff was friendly and efficient, which we appreciated. The menu is rather limited, but the dishes are well described. The schnitzels are freshly prepared. Unfortunately, they skimp on the seasoning, making the schnitzels rather bland, which is a real shame. The sauces are also not worth recommending. The mushroom sauce was very thin and rather tasteless. However, the side dishes were perfectly fine, and the salad was fresh. The restaurant and its concept have a lot of potential. It would be great if they could utilize this potential. Currently, it doesn't offer good value for money. A real pity.

Hi everyone, I've been living in Magdeburg for almost five years now, and I'm originally from the west. I ordered from Schnizz for delivery for the first time on November 21, 2025. It was my partner's idea, after hearing about it from a colleague at work. So, I don't know how some of the reviews come about. All I can say for myself is that the schnitzel was very good, large, and very tasty 😋. The side dish was a bit small, but the schnitzel made up for it. I can only say that I will definitely order again and also eat in at the restaurant sometime. What I really like 👍 is that there are different options. The prices are also reasonable; elsewhere you get much smaller portions for the same price. The driver was also very friendly when he arrived. Caution! Unfavorable reviews are simply deleted. I was here about 10 days ago and wanted the daily special. Due to a serious health issue, I asked for the tomato sauce to be omitted. This request was ignored, and there was no explanation or apology. Even when I asked for the "obligatory" sauce to be served next to the schnitzel on the plate, not on top, I received only a negative response. I would also like to point out that in various customer photos, the sauce is always served/shown in a separate bowl. So what's the problem? We actually wanted to celebrate a milestone birthday here with over 20 people. That's not going to happen after the impossible or nonexistent customer service and friendliness. But thankfully, there are still plenty of places where they appreciate every single guest. Perhaps it would be a good idea to train the staff instead of deleting inconvenient reviews. Just a tip.

I came to Schnizz seeking that soul, perhaps a final anchor in a world that's getting colder and faster all the time. The place itself was the first blow. Functionality as a weapon. Bright, aggressive lighting that allowed no shadows, no hiding place for melancholy. At the counter, I stood, a pilgrim in search of culinary sanctuary, and ordered the supposed grail. When it was served, a small light inside me died. The schnitzel was a flat, indifferent slice that told no story. The breading wasn't the cloak of love Grandma wove; it was a brittle, glistening armor that didn't protect the meat beneath, but suffocated it. ​The first bite... It wasn't just tasteless, it was bitter. It tasted of haste, of austerity, of the brutal logic of profit. In that slice of meat, I saw the thousand small compromises we make every day, the thousand dreams we sacrifice on the altar of efficiency. My grandfather wouldn't have recognized this schnitzel. He would have wept over this degradation of the art of cooking. ​I sat there, the lukewarm fries lying around the schnitzel like useless gold pieces, and I felt an overwhelming emptiness. This meal was a requiem for the old days, for the goodness hidden in simplicity. ​I paid, got up, and went out into the night. Schnizz's schnitzel didn't ruin my stomach, but rather my illusion. It proved to me that even the simplest and most authentic dish can succumb to the relentless march of mass production. ​I'm not crying for the money. I'm crying for the lost promise of the food, for the tenderness that should have been in the breading, and for the sad realization that the echoes of the past have finally fallen silent in this noisy restaurant. Don't go to Schnizz if you still believe in the soul of cooking. It will break your heart.

We were in Magdeburg briefly. We ordered on Thursday and had it there on Friday. It was delicious. The tram stops right outside at the Hertzstrasse stop. We highly recommend it. It's more of a snack bar than a restaurant.

A real highlight! The portions are generous and the taste is incredibly good.

My wife and son enjoyed it. I found the veal a bit too dry and overcooked. Everything seemed clean and tidy. The service at the counter was very friendly.

Schnitzel is the most popular food here

So far, it was pretty good, although I was a bit surprised that I had to pay extra for the ketchup on the fries, which cost 75 Swiss francs for three people. Otherwise, I can recommend this self-service restaurant.

After all these years, delivery is still abysmal. Simply embarrassing; if you live in the wrong area, you're out of luck. Ridiculous; other companies manage it too.

Simply delicious Schnitzel without any frills

The schnitzels are really good, the side dish is okay but tastes like it's not homemade (Champion sauce). Service is quite slow, but everything is very friendly and the staff is friendly (the one in Magdeburg!). I'd be happy to come back. I recommend going at 11:30 a.m., so it won't take as long.

Delicious, attractive and quick

It was very good. However, for me personally, the schnitzel was a little lacking in flavor. But that's my personal preference. Neat, clean, and everyone was super nice.

Delicious and large with reasonable prices

We were looking for schnitzel on our way to Berlin and stopped here. We thought they'd be stuffed, but they're filled with ingredients and sauces on top. They have tables inside and a terrace with umbrellas. The waiter who served us was very friendly.

We go there often, usually spontaneously! The service is great, all the staff are friendly, the food arrives promptly, and it always tastes excellent!

Unfortunately I have to say that we were disappointed with the food, we had it delivered.... The salad was in the same packaging as the hot food and so the salad was no longer fresh.... The sauces for the two main courses were both very runny and not what you would imagine a classic sauce to be... The ice cream didn't seem to be the best either because it had ice crystals in it and was therefore inedible.... We paid a total of €50 and unfortunately the quality was not worth the price.... What a shame!

Bright and clean, with an outdoor area for sunny days. Fast and friendly service. The schnitzel was large and deliciously breaded. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The salads were fresh and well-seasoned. The only drawback was the mixed vegetables with the flour sauce placed directly on the schnitzel. This soaked the breading. Good value for money. I'll be back.

We've eaten there a few times. The food and service is very good. The delivery service also works great. The food always arrives hot and tastes just like in a restaurant. Special requests are no problem and will be gladly fulfilled. Thanks to the team, keep it up.

This time it wasn't so good. The "Hungarian" schnitzel and the lecsó didn't taste good at all this time. It lacked some spice, and the color was also very pale. It was perfectly fine the first time. That's why I ordered it again, but I was very disappointed. The draft beer had just run out; apparently, the other colleague didn't mention it.

Unfortunately you can only get the food if you order over 30 euros, even though it is stated on the internet as 20!

We have been getting our schnitzels here for several years. The turkey schnitzels are very tender and the vegetarian ones taste really good too. Employees may have a lot of stress, but they are always friendly.

Well, for the price, what is there to complain about. ...you might think. So why not 5 stars? The Schnizz knows how to pour their flour sauce mushrooms over a finely fried schnitzel with terrible regularity - which, if you aren't quick enough, ruins it! If you ask politely not to do this, you will be referred to the management's instructions. There is actually a 5 point deduction for this.

I really wanted schnitzel with mushrooms again. As always, the food was very tasty and plentiful. Only the wait...almost an hour until the first food came. The problem here is that many people order in advance and then pick it up. These meals also have to be prepared “on the side”. Still highly recommended 👍.

The food is really tasty, warm and more than enough for the money. Quality is also good. You will be called every time after placing your order to confirm the order again and give the delivery time. But if 2 hours are announced and then you call them after 2 hours to find out that the driver hasn't left again, I think that's really borderline. There should be information from the branch if the time cannot be met. We ordered at 6:25 p.m. and expect to receive our food around 9 p.m.! Well, good night!

An absolute must for all schnitzel lovers! The Schnizz in Magdeburg completely convinced me - super tasty schnitzels in many creative variations, huge portions and a great price-performance ratio. The meat is perfectly breaded, crispy and juicy at the same time. There is also a large selection of side dishes and sauces, so there is really something for every taste. The service was also great: friendly, fast and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and you immediately feel at home. I'll definitely be back and can only recommend Schnizz!

I ordered the schnitzel, Champion, as veal. The schnitzel was a decent size. The breading was nice and crispy. Fried/fried just right. The meat itself wasn't the best quality. There were also French fries Twister which were also nice and crispy and well seasoned. There was also the Champion sauce and a bit of salad. Unfortunately the sauce was quite weak in taste. But not unappetizing. The whole thing with cola for €25. Is a fair price. The preparation took about 15 minutes. The service could still be improved. It can sometimes take a while for someone to come from the kitchen to weave. Definitely a recommendation if you're in the mood for German cuisine.
