El Greco Grill in Hameln

Just picked up our food. Ready in 20 minutes. The pita was packed full of minced meat, cabbage, green bell pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and tzatziki. Absolutely delicious and fresh. The other dish we ordered was also a generous portion for the price. Super tasty. Highly recommended.

The food arrived 50 minutes later than expected. We called twice and were told the driver would be here any minute. There was no apology, and the driver seemed like he was waiting for a tip. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed.

I really wanted something Greek to eat, as there are only kebab shops all around. When I ordered my gyro pita, the woman and her husband (the owner) started whispering in Greek, and he immediately took away an ancient telephone that was in front of me. It was a very trusting environment. The pita was ready relatively quickly and was expensive at €8. The meat wasn't seasoned in the typical Greek way, but it was hot and fresh. There's still a lot of room for improvement. It was my first time in Hameln, and I won't be coming back.

Ordered a grilled platter on a Thursday. It was surprisingly quick, only 21 minutes instead of 45, and it was truly like the old days: juicy souvlaki, plenty of good gyros, crispy fries, and a generous amount of tzatziki. Keep it up 👏🏼👏🏼

We ordered delivery, and it arrived almost exactly an hour later. We had steak with Mexican sauce and hunter's schnitzel with fries. The food was a complete disaster! The hunter's sauce was a paprika sauce, the schnitzel was dry, and the fries...a disgrace. They were pure cardboard and ice cold. There wasn't much good to say about the steak either, except for the rice. The food was a complete disappointment.

The reviews here are absolute nonsense. The portions are huge (I'm a very good eater), and the taste is absolutely solid. I would appreciate seating in the future, which isn't available at the moment.

We've ordered online so far, and we really enjoy it! The portions are generous and the food is absolutely filling. We can't comment on the ambiance or service in the restaurant. It's a real shame that you can no longer pay online via PayPal. We'll probably go back to Lieferando. But otherwise, we enjoy ordering there and find the food very tasty.

I really enjoy the food. So far, I've always ordered through the website, as it seems to be better for the delivery people than through Lieferando. I'm giving the ambiance 3 stars because I've never been there and can't judge it. I only get 2 stars for the service because they recently stopped offering PayPal payments, so I have to order through Lieferando.

I also gave you two chances, which is totally legitimate. That shows how good you used to be, that even though you keep getting junk, you keep giving you another chance. For me, it was because of the new location. The lady at the front counter, heat or shine, gave you expressions that simply don't fit in a restaurant business! The pita was okay, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. For over 8 euros, I actually thought there would be a lot of meat in it. But that wasn't the case. Instead, there were an awful lot of fatty pieces. I don't understand that either. If you only knew how many customers you're losing with those fatty pieces. Not to mention that you've always been rude in the store! And people don't even dare to ask for something special because you're always overwhelmed! Change yourselves and get back to how you were 5-6 years ago. Otherwise, you won't survive! And I don't mean the prices!

It's absolutely outrageous the quality and portion sizes you get here these days. The portions are at best children's plates, and the meat is some kind of frozen food. I've ordered from there quite often, but this was my last time.

The store is really struggling. It used to be so good, but the food is now a disaster and I can somehow understand that you can no longer order via Lieferando, but people, I ask you, we live in 2025. I don't want to know how many customers have been lost because of this and in the end the quality also suffers because you don't earn as much anymore

Doesn't deserve a star 😏 Driver immediately said tip, portion of coleslaw is a mini bowl, gyros pita? Small bread with meat gyros? Well.....small package.... And 20.50 euros for that?? Never again!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered by phone and unfortunately the food didn't come at all. After 2.5 hours someone answered the phone saying "It was busy, sry". Never experienced anything like that. Why do you say when you order that it takes 1 hour?! Never again at el greco!!!

As always, the food is delicious and of good quality. Fries are still crispy and hot when they arrive home. Special requests are easily accommodated. Technical problems when ordering can also be easily clarified. Nice and reliable staff. Again and again!

Very tasteful!! I read all the negative comments below and certainly disagree. Gyros is definitely the best dish you should try, soutzoukaki is juicy and delicious. Mix Grill is always my favourite one. Totally recommended. 😋

Today I ordered a Gyros Pita and found that there wasn't much meat in it. I wanted to buy an extra portion of meat. Which should cost 9 euros. I rejected that. And you can't park there either. I'm not coming back.

They have a huge problem with delivering. I delivered food at +/- 20:00, and it should be already here at my house around 21:55, they work till 22:00 but I never got the delivery

I had to go to El Greco Grill today because 3 Greeks were on vacation and I was very grateful for that. The food was excellent😋 the portions are very large, hygiene is very important and the employees are very nice. I was thrilled and will go straight there next time👍

Ordered to take away. The specified pick-up time was correct. And that was it.. Grilled plate and gyro pita.. "gyro meat" carelessly thrown into the plastic tray.. very poor quality (cartilage and fat). The other meat was over-seasoned and overall overpriced! Fries? Well Here too, the operator was unable to deliver reasonable goods. Gyrospita without words..

Prices are pretty steep for what you get, meat is barely done, tzatziki has way too much garlic on it. Fries taste like they were from yesterday. That was the last time in a juice shop like this. Can't even manage to put a slice of tomato on the pita. Bifteki was just spicy and completely over-seasoned with some strange herbs! Not even the portion of olives were fresh, even they were mushy.

If for you tzatziki is yoghurt without cucumber that’s not tzatziki. Meat not eatable

Gyros is dry like it's been there for a while and I had a raw piece of gyros in my pita. Metaxa sauce also tastes like it comes from the supermarket.

Bifteki Burnt! Rice and fries cold and dry! When grilled, the meat was unappetizing. We will never order from there again!

Called for the second time now on a Sunday around 7 p.m. - "we are sold out and have nothing left". Opening times are stated at 10 p.m. - that is absolutely unrealistic!!! Called today at 7:15 p.m. and asked if they had anything else - "yes" was the answer. A quick decision and called again 15 minutes later. Suddenly sold out again. To me that seems more like “I don’t feel like it” and the main thing is to clean up quickly and get off work. That doesn't exactly speak for a good ambience and service concept. Can't be compared to Vassilis in any way (I really miss that store!). Food is okay, but everything else is definitely not right. Maybe rethink the opening times or shop enough, then the customer won't be disappointed so often - the price is incredibly expensive, but you're happy to pay for quality. Really sorry but nothing will be picked up from you anymore!

Family business. Very clean. I'm happy to have gyros whenever I feel like it. But you can also get something vegetarian. Souvlaki was well cooked. Fries were great too.

Well, half of the order was missing and I wasn't impressed with the taste either, it was only lukewarm and it was far too little for the price, well the conclusion is never again!

Mix Grill ist sehr lecker, aber zwar teuer. Man kann sowas für sich nicht jeden Tag leisten. Aber ab und zu geht's.

Haben jetzt zwei Mal in einer Woche abends dort bestellt und es hat beide Male sehr gut geschmeckt :) Das erste Mal waren die Pommes ein bisschen lasch gewürzt aber das war nicht so schlimm, Pommesgewürz regelt. Lieferzeit 40-70 Minuten ist ok. Suflaki, Bifteki, gebackener Feta, Zaziki, Salat, Reis und Pita war alles gut 👌

Also wir haben schon sehr oft bestellt. Ja, die Lieferzeiten sind oft sehr lang, aber damit rechnen wir einfach schon. Geschmacklich war es immer gut. Nichts roh, nichts zäh, nichts zu un- oder überwürzt. Kann daher die Rezessionen nicht nachvollziehen. Das Pommes labberig sind, liegt einfach daran, dass sie nicht frisch - direkt gegessen werden. Kenne keinen Lieferdienst, bei dem Pommes anders ankommen. Wir bleiben euch definitiv treu, lieben euer Essen und hoffen, dass ihr uns lange Erhalten bleibt <3.

Habe vor 3 Stunden über Lieferando bestellt im Wert von 50€ und die Lieferung ist immernoch nicht angekommen... Ich habe eben angerufen und mir wurde gesagt das bei mir versucht wurde anzurufen(was nicht passiert ist) und das die Bestellung für Bar zu groß sei. Sonst hat das Essen immer gut geschmeckt aber sowas geht nicht - hat den ganzen Abend runter gezogen.

Wir haben dort letztens zum ersten und letzten Mal bestellt. Sehr schade, weil es nicht viele Liefermöglichkeiten im Umkreis gibt. 🙈 Dass Pommes labbrig bei der Lieferung sind, ist ja normal. Aber die Pommes haben nach nichts geschmeckt. Die waren definitiv nicht gewürzt. Der Tomatenreis war der schlechteste Tomatenreis, den wir je gegessen haben. Daa Fleisch war sehr trocken, hart und zäh. Die Metaxa Sauce war sehr lecker, aber man kann sich ja leider nicht nur von Sauce ernähren. 😅

Das Essen kam nach über 2 Stunden an ( angegeben waren 40 - 60 Min) und war komplett kalt und das Gyros bestand zu 2/3 aus purem Fett. Das war leider nicht das erste Mal

Das Essen ist durchschnittlich ok. Habe allerdings noch nie liefern lassen und kann nichts zu Wartezeiten sagen. Was mir allerdings immer unangenehm aufgestoßen ist, ist die stets schlechte Laune des Personals. Ich persönlich finde es immer schön in der Gastro mit einem Lächeln empfangen zu werden. Das werde ich hier vermutlich nicht mehr erleben...

Jetzt ist mir auch klar warum El Greco nicht mehr als 3 Sterne hat. Ich mag das Essen, keine Frage. Es gibt leckere Gerichte. Aber ein Salat (ohne Dressing) für 7,50!!!! in einer kleinen Hamburger Box zusammengeschmissen. Das ist eine Frechheit. Telefonisch dann das übliche, was bei den meisten Lieferdiensten ein Problem in meinen Augen darstellt: Entweder ist konstruktive Kritik unerwünscht oder das Deutsch ist so schlecht, dassan garnicht erst verstanden wird. In diesem Fall habe ich wohl mehr dem Telefonhörer als dem Benutzer desselbigen mein Problem geschildert, bis der plötzlich meinte: "ich muss jetzt auflegen", nachdem hinten irgendwo eine ältere Herrenstimme irgendwas auf griechisch schrie. Der absolute Witz. Leute, bestellt keinen Salat für 7,50. Ist das Geld nicht wert.

Von den abweichenden Lieferzeiten abgesehen (30-50 min zu Bestellung 90 min). Das Fleisch bzw Leber, Gyros... So trocken so trocken... Auch das Zaziki cremig, Knoblauch aber rest muss man suchen. Leider auch nicht in einem extra Behälter, wie der Salat. Also kein frischer Zaziki sondern warme Knoblauchcreme. Das die Pizzen kam gut an. Aber gute Produkte, nur...

Über liferando bestellt, essen war viel schneller da, als erwartet 👍sehr netter Fahrer! Fleisch, Krautsalat und Metaxasoße haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt, beilagensalat und Reis hätten etwas mehr Geschmack haben können. Für einen Imbiss aber sbsolzt solide und eins der besten essen seit langem für uns...

Schnelle Lieferzeit und die Pommes richtig gut auch mal Intelligent eingepackt ohne verschmorrtes Styropor gerne bestelle ich dort wider.

Unnormal gutes Essen. Egal, was man vor Ort oder über den Lieferdienst bestellt. Das Essen ist jedes Mal heiß, eine enorm große Menge für verhältnismäßig wenig Geld und es schmeckt unnormal lecker. Jedes Mal, wenn ich dort etwas esse, habe ich das Gefühl in einem 5-Sterne-Restaurant zu essen. Auch auf extrawünsche wird eingegangen. Unglaublich lecker und absolute Empfehlung für einen Besuch :)

Mein pizza hatte einen verbrannten Rand und war immer noch nicht durch. Die Lieferung war zumindest eine viertel Stunde früher da.

Haben sich extrem verschlechtert in der Qualität der Speisen. Essen wird lauwarm angeliefert und Wartezeit der Lieferung bis zu 90 minuten :-( Personal sehr unhöflich.

Wir haben am heutigen Samstag für drei Personen bestellt(wurden von unserem lieben Nachbar eingeladen). Das Essen kam im genannten Zeitrahmen angeliefert, noch gut warm, mehr als reichlich und sehr, sehr lecker. Preisleistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Das war unsere erste und ganz sich nicht unsere letzte Bestellung. Wir alle drei sind wirklich angenehm überrascht worden und können weiterhin nur empfehlen. Alles Super.
