Super. We always really, really enjoy being here. We are always warmly welcomed, the interaction is relaxed, pleasant and warm and the food is delicious and wonderfully prepared. We always enjoy coming here, even for family celebrations. Simply great!

We are always very satisfied. The only thing missing is the Greek music.

Always a nice journey through time and memories of childhood! Tasty as ever, an absolute institution in Hamelin. Cozy location and good service. Price-performance ratio appropriate. I hope the Acropolis will remain in Hameln for a long time.

Good service, very tasty food, just great

This Greek restaurant is simply cult and I have known an original here for about 40 years, the food is always very good and tidy. Up until 10 years ago I was there at least once every 14 days. I always took things to go and occasionally ate there if it was something special. There is always an ouzo and the owner is very friendly and really nice. But since I no longer live in the area, I haven't been there and the Greek restaurants here don't even come close to the taste and service that the Acropolis offers, I have to say.

Worst thing I've experienced in a restaurant: Eternal waiting time, meat not cooked through, meat including the entire plate was taken into the kitchen to be warmed up again. Only half of what was previously on the plate came back and the meat didn't get through again. Finally, the children were served an ice cream that they hadn't ordered. Pure chaos! The icing on the cake was that there were beers on the bill that we hadn't ordered. Portions were mini and the taste of the gyros was a 6. Sorry, but that's how it was!

We received a very warm and friendly welcome, the selection was very good, prices were very fair, we were well provided with ouzo, food was good but the lamb was a bit dry and the food was only lukewarm but tasted very good, About the ambience: Nice decoration, Greek figures, etc. Unfortunately, the tablecloth was a bit dirty, the sanitary facilities were very outdated and in urgent need of renovation, but all in all we felt very comfortable because the hospitality was really very warm and familiar, we'd love to come back.

Based in Hameln for over 40 years. Now run by the daughter. Still very good. We were customers 40 years ago. At 82 years old, Costa is still in business and, as always, always in a good mood.

Anyone who eats in this restaurant has either lost all taste buds, cannot cook themselves or has never been to a good Greek restaurant. The restaurant is neither contemporary nor functional - quantity rather than quality counts here. The furniture is extremely old-fashioned. Everything looks run down and there is dust everywhere. I recommend that all guests ask if they can look into the kitchen. I'm sure everyone would immediately run backwards back out. From the outside you can hardly tell that this is a restaurant. All the food is convenience food; nothing is freshly prepared or cooked. We call this “warming up” among colleagues. One look into the kitchen is enough to understand what is going wrong here. From the gym you can see directly into the hotel rooms - that's simply catastrophic. The meat is completely overcooked, thick, inedible chunks, garnished with an orange slice that looks like it came from the 1980s. This has nothing to do with Greek cuisine, but is more reminiscent of gastronomy from the eighties. Anyone who gives a positive review here has either never eaten in Greece - and certainly not in 2024, but perhaps in 1980. In this restaurant there are more onions in every dish than anything else, and there is always a lettuce leaf with a sad orange slice. What should you do with it? This is completely outdated - either change or close up shop.

Costa is the best Christian restaurant in Hameln and has been for 45 years. I just read a review here that it would be the worst restaurant, I can't really understand that!! We have always eaten very well here! Just the atmosphere and how you are welcomed here by Costa and his wife is always so ❤️Lich

Unfortunately, the food was slightly oversalted and most likely from the freezer. The restaurant didn't seem clean.

Located on the street, but quiet and cozy inside. The owners are very accommodating and polite. The food is great. Large portions, perfectly cooked meat and delicious house wine!

This restaurant has existed in Hameln for as long as I can remember and the very warm Costa has always been there to welcome his guests. When we arrived, as always, we were warmly welcomed. After we ordered food and drinks, we got an ouzo on the house. The starter salad came very quickly and the tzatziki for the starter was also quickly at the table. Both tasted very good. Here the tzatziki still costs €4.50 (significantly expensive in other restaurants) but the portion is also manageable. As a snack, it's great and tastes great. We waited about 40 minutes for our 5 main courses. So that was all great. Everything tasted great. Unfortunately, some pieces of the gyro weren't quite cooked yet. But gyros were added. We were all satisfied and fed up. The portion may be a little too small for a good eater. If you wish, you can also get fries or a little meat. The noodles were well cooked and the Metaxa sauce was really tasty. Every now and then there was a small ouzo. The food tastes very good and the prices are fair. The service is always friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself is now a bit old and you shouldn't look around too closely. Here and there the tablecloths are dirty or sticky. Or there is a layer of dust on the window sills. But if you want to enjoy good Greek food at an acceptable price with warm hospitality, this is the place for you.

The food is excellent and you will always be full! Typical Greek dishes of the best quality. The service is courteous, very attentive and quick. The restaurant itself is unfortunately a bit old, which you can see here and there. Still, it's comfortable. Always my pleasure!

I've been going to Costa and Rita since I was a child, what can I say? I think that speaks for itself. Food is always delicious, service is always friendly and good, very familiar atmosphere Keep it up!!!

The ambience is rather old school and a matter of taste but the food and service were highly recommended. Price performance was also excellent.

I ordered a table on April 2, 2024 at 6 p.m., it was a Tuesday, for 8 people. My birthday 🎂 my guests and I were totally horrified, it was closed, the window says Tuesday closed. Dear Costa, something like that just doesn't work, I'm totally disappointed 😞

Was at the Acropolis for the first time on Sunday. I can only recommend. The food was delicious and the price was completely ok. The host, landlady and staff were super friendly. We'll definitely be back 😀

The ambience is nice and big and cozy. Has a pleasant atmosphere. The hosts are very friendly and nice. Respond to requests during preparation. Four of us went there to eat for the first time. We ordered - Baked potato with herb quark - chicken breast fillet fire skewer with rice, salad - Children's menu with chicken breast fillet French fries - 2 steaks, gyros, 1 souvlaki with fries, salad - Orange juice apple juice The order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait too long. We were served very hospitably and our food was received according to our wishes. The food is super tasty, we were very satisfied. But the boss said next time not to order so much, by that he meant the plate with a lot of meat. I didn't find it so friendly. There were four of us and we ate everything except for one steak. Ultimately it is our decision what we eat and how much. But everything else was great, the children even had a menu put together upon request and each had an ice cream sundae for dessert. Our visit was worth it. Friendly staff, great ambience, delicious food. I can happily recommend it!

A great Greek with super friendly host Costa. The food, especially the souflaki which Costs makes from fillet, is unbeatable. We keep coming here and have been for 25 years. 😍

Delicious food / top quality, nice boss, good and sufficient portions. We eat there regularly, it's the best Greek in Hamelin and we absolutely recommend it. Guests there for 40 years, back then as a child with my parents.

A cozy atmosphere and very friendly, only the stupid innuendos from the landlord are not appropriate. I'm not going there with my boyfriend anymore. Offering us a bedroom is outrageous.

By far the best Greek restaurant in Hamelin and the surrounding area. The food is super fresh and the service is unique. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and can only recommend it. I would also give 6 stars if possible.

Sind seid 8 Jahren Stammkunden und können dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Das Essen ist super lecker und auch richtig frisch. Wartezeit auf das Essen war auch nicht lange. Die Inhaber sind immer wieder aufs Neue sehr nett und freundlich. Wer gute griechische Küche genießen möchte sollte auf jeden Fall in diesem Restaurant essen!

Inzwischen sind wir seit über 45 Jahren dort zu Gast und können es dementsprechend natürlich empfehlen ;-) Familiengeführtes traditionelles Restaurant mit tollem Service und sehr gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der Inhaber und damalige Gründer beschenkt seine Gäste noch immer persönlich mit seinem geliebten Ouzo 👌

Der Gyrosteller war ganz gut.Salat war leider nicht dabei für den stolzen Preis.Hätte lieber Wein statt Bier trinken sollen.Das Pils war schon sehr schal.Das Ambiente ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß . Die Bedienung war sehr nett.

Hab heute zum ersten mal dort gegessen 1 Rumpsteak mit kräuterbutter/pommes pommes waren okish das Steak war medium gebraten das Fleisch auch nicht das beste für den happigen preis von 21,50 zusätzlich musste man sehr lange warten bis das Essen und die Getränke da waren der Preis für die Getränke is fair der Service an sich ist trotzdem ganz ok alles in allem ganz ok aber gibt noch 1 2 bessere Alternativen Geht trotzdem gern vorbei der Biergarten ist auch ganz gut

Ich habe einen Gyrosteller zum Mitnehmen bestellt und als ich Zuhause ankam, war es sogar noch schön warm und die Pommes teilweise sogar noch knusprig! War sehr lecker

Nettes Restaurant am Berliner Platz. Gute Küche, die reichlich serviert. Pommes passen immer und an Fleisch wird auch nicht gespart. Besonders gefällt mir, dass zum Würzen kein Salz genommen wird. Ambiente hat 70/80-Flair. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett und das Personal ist ebenfalls freundlich. Preis/Leistung super.

Super Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen

Wir waren erst um 21:30 Uhr im Restaurant auf einem Dienstag. Alles kein Problem nette Bedienung und zwei leckere Gerichte bekommen. Originaler Grieche 😁

Das Essen war sehr gut, aber der Service war SPITZENKLASSE. Wenn sich nach dem leckeren Essen das Gefühl einstellt, nicht nur Kunde, sondern ein Gast gewesen sein, dann hat alles 100 %ig gepasst. Vielen Dank für das schöne Ergebnis.

Ich Kenne das Restaurant seit kindesalter, deshalb kann ich auch etwas mehr dazu schreiben. Wir haben heute Abend dort gegessen. Ohne Tischreservierung gar kein Problem gewesen. Positiv: immer ein Tisch Frei. Das Essen schmeckt überwiegend sehr Gut. Die Gerichte kommen relativ Zeitnah an den Tisch und sind auch ziemlich heiß, was auch sehr Gut ist. Der Besitzer ist immer sehr zuvorkommend und auch bei kleinigkeiten an Ort und Stelle, was einen Guten Service ausmacht. Ebenso ist der Sohn des Chefs ein wirklich sehr symphatischer Kellner, der einem vor Ort ein Wohlfühlendes Gefühl vermittelt. Man merkt, mit wieviel Liebe und professionalität er sich um die Gäste Kümmert. In dieser Hinsicht eine 5 Von 5 Sternen. Negatives: Leider ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich, was hoffentlich in baldiger Zukunft behoben wird. Das Gyros war leider etwas zäh, die Mataxasauce könnte ein kleinwenig dickflüssiger sein. Ein relativ junger Kellner ist schwarzer Jogginghose ?… Hier möchte ich mich Jetzt nicht zu weit aus dem Fenster lehnen, da ich die Finanzielle Lage aufgrund der Coronazeit nicht beurteilen möchte. Dennoch müsste sich Grundlegend etwas in der Einrichtung ändern, da das Inventar in die Jahre gekommen ist. Auch die WC Räume, müssten aus meiner Sicht erneuert werden, was aber nicht heißt, das er dort dreckig ist. Es müsste einfach nur renoviert werden. Dennoch sind diese trotz allem sehr sauber gehalten. Parkplätze sucht man leider vergebens… Fazit: unterstützt Akropolis, weil es ein sehr nettes und Familiengeführtes Restaurant ist, welches sich wirklich sehr viel Mühe gibt und mit sehr viel Liebe um die Gäste kümmert. Das Essen schmeckt Gut und so soll es auch bleiben. Nehmt Meine Rezensionen ernst, weil die Konkurrenz nicht schläft und es wäre Schade, wenn so ein toller Grieche zumachen müsste.

Außerordentlich gastfreundlich. Ein toller Wirt und eine tolle Wirtin. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause.

Gestern Abend dagewesen. Essen hat recht lange gedauert, war aber sehr gut. Kosta ist ein absoluter Hardstyler, endlaser wie er abgeht! 😃

Ein super tolles Restaurant, sehr gutes Essen, ordentliche Portionen zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Der Service war bestens und das Personal super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die sanitären Anlagen sind in Ordnung nur etwas sanierungsbedürftig (meiner Meinung nach das einzige was verbessert/verschönert werden könnte.) Auf jeden Fall ist das Restaurant zu empfehlen.
