El Greco in Marl

Ordered Mad-Max currywurst. It tasted great. The delivery time was a surprise; I don't think I've ever had a delivery service bring food to my door so quickly!

We ordered there after they reopened and were very satisfied. The meat was well-cooked and seasoned. The gyro wasn't too dry or too greasy. The fries were good too. They've really improved there... So, the negative reviews didn't reflect our order. So, folks, give the place a chance. We haven't regretted it.

Very good food! I'm surprised that EL Greco has improved so much since closing! New dishes, new drinks! New ambiance. I feel at home here, and the staff is a very good team!!!!!

I'd love to give it zero stars. The only positive thing is the quick delivery time. Gyros, fries, and currywurst are simply not worth eating – and I'm not really picky or anything. And I paid so much money for them, but the food arrived and was unfortunately thrown away immediately because no one wanted to eat it.

Never again!! Here's a brief summary, and below is a detailed one: - Too expensive - Contradictory information - Difficult to order by phone - Nausea after eating - Delivery time as stated We wanted to order through Lieferando, but unfortunately, they were no longer accepting orders. So, we looked at the menu on their website and ordered by phone. However, it was very difficult to communicate with the person on the phone. She was friendly, but didn't understand much, so we had to spell and explain everything multiple times. According to the menu prices, we should have paid around €33. However, the person on the phone quoted €47. After asking several times, she said that the prices on the menu were six years old. We therefore had no overview of the prices, and we could have been charged any price without being able to verify the amount. Only after asking were we given a new flyer, which was useless to us and isn't available to other customers. When we asked if it would be cheaper to pick up the order instead of having it delivered, this was denied, but the flyer says otherwise!!! Food will be available after 30 minutes, as stated. After eating, two out of three people felt unwell. These two people had both eaten the same items, while the third person did not. Depending on the amount eaten, one person felt worse than the others. (Flyer with QR code uploaded here)

I am a truck driver and wanted to order something to eat and called the shop and she told me that she is currently closed for renovations and will not open again until Saturday. A very friendly voice and has apologized 30,000 times that she cannot deliver. Makes a very nice impression on me, the shop or rather the store

Just ordered the grill plate for 2 and picked it up myself. Meat well seasoned, tender and more than enough for 2 people. Zatziki, fries and a large salad were included. All very tasty. Nothing to complain about. Thanks

Impossible employees, the delivery drivers act like half-wits and have very bad manners towards the customers.......

6 of us ordered, I've never eaten so badly. Food was cold, sauce was like water and the rice was mushy. In addition, the delivery took over 2 hours, even though I called twice and was told it would take approximately 15 minutes.

The fries were soft, the meat was old and the coleslaw was musty. The sheep's cheese is not even half. Not recommended

Just had the taxi plate three times for €11 each... the price is debatable... considering the shop has only just opened, the whole thing is really bad :-( The sausage not only looked like it was from yesterday but also tasted like it did, the fries, well you can't really go wrong, the gyros were dry and boring... In total with mayo and tzatziki €13.90 per head for the garbage can... never again

I ordered an onion schnitzel there, but it wasn't with fried onions as stated on the site, but with curry sauce. When I called, I was told that this was supposedly normal, I would never eat anything there, it just tasted weird, it was just greasy until doesn't work anymore.

Essen gestern bestellt, telefonisch. Fast 2 Std. gewartet. Zig mal dort angerufen wo die Bestellung bleibt. Keine Entschuldigung, nur, dass der Fahrer neu ist und sich mit denÖrtlichkeiten nicht auskennt. Beim 4 Anruf, Essen abbestellt, da schon fast 2 Std. vergangen waren. Nie wieder dort was bestellen. Kein guter Service.

Unser Essen war super und sehr freundlich,ich kenne denn laden noch vom vorbesitzer vor paar jahren, ich war paar jahre nicht in Marl ist nicht wieder zu erkennen

Superschnelle Bedienung....mega leckeres Essen.Wenn wir nochmal in eurer Ecke sind,kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder

Mehr als Abzocke kann man für den Laden nicht in Erinnerung behalten. Die Basis Preise der Gerichte sind sportlich, höher als alle anderen Griechen in Marl, dafür aber von der Portion her viel weniger als beispielsweise bei Meteora oder Kawalla. Beim bestellen muss man ganz genau aufpassen, sonst setzt man sich hier schnell auf den Hintern. Beim bezahlen musste ich schon lachen und stäuben, mir wäre es unangenehm solche Preise aufzurufen und dazu bezahlst alles extra, was woanders immer dabei ist. Ein kleiner Klecks/Schlag Tzaziki kostet hier 1,50€, dass das Oregano, oder die Tüte für den Transport des Essens, nicht extra kostet hat mich schon gewundert. Deutliches „Nie mehr“ als Fazit, so locker wie die Betreiber es haben müssen bei den Preisen hat man es nicht mehr. Ich ärgere mich jedes Mal wenn ich wieder dran denke. Völlig unverhältnismäßig und an der Realität vorbei.

Ich hatte hier einen Gyrosteller bestellt. Der Krautsalat war, glaube ich, selbst gemacht, und sehr gut. Die Pommes waren außen kross, innen weich, und richtig heiß. Das Gyros mit Zwiebeln und Tsatsiki auch sehr gut. Ambiente und Service können nicht besser sein. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Gerade wieder bestellt via Lieferservice. Wurde sogar telefonisch zurückgerufen weil ein Teil der Bestellung nicht da war. Super Service. Essen war wie immer top. Kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Sind immer sehr zufrieden. Und ist wirklich Superlecker. Gyros, Bifteki und Pommes alles Top. Sind wirklich sehr zufrieden. Weiter so😋😋😋

6,90 € für eine Currywurst Pommes Mayo (3,50/2,50/0,90) 😳? Das ist ja Volksfest- bzw. Einkaufscenter-Niveau! Ich hatte nach der vor drei Monaten ausliegenden Preisliste telefonisch vorbestellt (2,50/1,50/0,50), also in Summe 4,50 €🤷. Daß es in der heutigen Zeit etwas teurer sein könnte, habe ich zwar erwartet, aber 50% mehr ist schon "der Hammer"! Schade eigentlich, denn geschmacklich war es echt ok und freundlich war man auch, aber bei dieser Kalkulation ißt man selbst im "Marler Stern" günstiger! Bei diesen Preisen wird "El Greco" wohl bald "Geschichte sein" !

Wir waren heute das 1.Mal da und wir sind positiv überrascht, es schmeckt sehr gut ,wir wurden sehr schnell bedient und es war auch sehr schnell fertig ,toll weiter so .

Ich esse immer wieder gerne hier. Alle super lieb und das Essen sehr lecker. Vorallem die Marlschale und die Pita überbacken sind ein Genuss.

Essen gut. Service gut. Beim Wein klemmt es noch. Rotwein eisgekühlt, das passt nicht.

16.06.2022 - 18.45Uhr. Bestellt waren, 1xGyros Spezial mit Pommes und 1xHolsteiner Schnitzel, Eigelb Blind gebraten und 1xPommes. Das Gyros und die Pomnes zu wenig bei 10.50euro, da bieten andere in Marl mehr. Holsteiner Schnitzel kam exakt so, wie gewünscht. Hier leider ein TK Schnitzelchen (Krüstchen) für 8.30euro, was ebenfalls zu teuer ist. Die Pommes alleine, waren Ausreichend für 1.80euro 3 Sterne gibt es, da das Essen noch heiß war, der Fahrer super nett und der Wunsch berücksichtigt wurde. Alles in allem, sollte man mehr auf frische Produkte Achten, was andere in Marl auch machen, dann sind die Preise auch Akzeptabel.

Ich bin zufrieden mit der Leistung Gyros ist bisschen zeh liegt aber am schweine Nacken nicht am Koch! Nicht salzig sondern genau richtig! Salat Dose keine Überraschung ! Reis verkocht aber zu erwarten! Aber der Rest auf den Punkt selbst die Leber ! Für preis Leistung genau richtig

Wir haben zum ersten Mal bei El Greco bestellt und waren begeistert. Wir hatten Gyros, Schnitzel und Taxiteller. Es war reichlich und sehr lecker. Die Lieferung war schneller als angegeben. Wir bestellen auf jeden Fall wieder.
