Nice Greek restaurant where the food is always delicious. We've been there several times and would love to come back.

Delicious food in a cozy setting. Extra plus: received ouzo on the house. Important to know; You can only pay in cash here (this is stated at the entrance).

This evening we had a very good meal again in this lovely Greek restaurant. In addition to the good food, the very friendly staff should also be mentioned, who served us very well and in a friendly manner. You also feel exceptionally comfortable in the beer garden. We'll definitely be back soon!

Good quality, simple greek food

Wonderful food that attracted us to this restaurant twice during our vacation. Great beer garden, typically Greek inside 😀. The staff and the boss were very friendly and funny. Prices great! When we are back in Garmisch we will definitely go there again. We can only recommend El Greco 👍👍👍

Sehr leckere griechische Spezialitäten, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und auf den Teller gelegt. Direkt einen Tag drauf erneut hingegangen und wieder überzeugt worden. Tzatziki ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Excellent greek food. This place has a great atmosphere with outdoor seating. The staff were courteous and provided excellent service. Prices were decent for the area. Paid 67 Euros for a meal and drinks for two adults and one child.

Thank you for your help as I wanted to eat GYROS. It's a little hard to find because you're going down some stairs, but the menu information is posted on the sidewalk, so I think you can figure it out. I'm full. It was delicious!

Fantastic Greek food close to the market. We had wandered through Bergerac and not wanting more duck or pizza we decided to try this new Greek restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised how fresh and authentic the food was. Tasty dips and great moussaka . Would highly recommend if you want a change from the usual tourist faire.

Vorspeise spartanisch, völlig lieblos auf dem Teller und überteuert, zumindest die gefüllten Paprika. Gericht mit Metaxasosse bestellt, lediglich Sahnesosse bekommen. Ungepflegtes Ambiente.

We were greeted warmly, there's nothing to complain about. The food lacked any seasoning other than garlic, which there is enough of. The salad and starter were drowned in oil. What I was absolutely disappointed with is the Ouzo fair. It's not listed as a starter, but that's all it is in terms of portion, a seafood salad with 2 cams of cream and bread. The price for this is OK. However, I know a fair with many different little things: zatziki, eggplant, zucchini, creams, salad, etc. My husband's grilled plate was also missing tzatziki, olives and pepperoni as well as a welcome ouzo. There are much much better Greek restaurants. I'm sorry.

Food was okay but quality absolutely outrageous for the price. A main meat dish is like 18-20€ and it’s the saddest little filled box you’ll ever see. A handful of fries, if at all. The baked potatoe was not baked; no crispy skin if you expect that. Hugely overpriced for what you get.

We got it delivered. The portions were tiny, the flavors insipid, and the prices are too high for what you get. The food made a gloomy atmosphere. "This is it?" Maybe it's better in person, but this was my experience. I wouldn't get it again. Look elsewhere.

The facility is clearly showing its age. The innkeeper is a bit grim and has a strange sense of humor. The food is generally ok, but a moussaka doesn't have parmesan. But what's even worse is that it was made with zucchini instead of eggplant (even though it's listed with eggplant on the menu). The salad literally sank in the oil and was anything but fresh. After the first meal there was no ouzo, which is a NO GO for a Greek restaurant. We won't be coming back. There are clearly better Greek restaurants in Garmisch.

Garmish Partenkish's best food yet

Very good restaurant. The staff deserves praise. We arrived late in the evening. The table was free only near a large, male, noisy company. It didn't bother us much. The staff themselves offered us another place as soon as it became available. They carried our drinks themselves. The food is wonderful. Delicious wine.

Server took our drink order and then we didn’t see him again for 90 min. Tried to flag him down a few times and we finally got our order in. The food came quick for 3 of us out of 5. The other two orders were forgotten. The server should maybe write down the orders with a pen. Food was okay. Meat was over cooked. Will never eat here again.

Rocked out Service not exactly nice. I have NEVER eaten such a bad gyro. The liver on my husband's plate was 2 small, very clear pieces. Satisfied is something else. The cheek was that we ordered the salad, which comes with the meal, WITHOUT lettuce (due to allergies) and we were charged extra money for it!!! Never again!!!!

My family and I had a very delicious meal. I had contact with all the waiters and found them all to be very nice. Also on the phone. I really liked the fact that this Greek restaurant doesn't overdo the garlic 👍. The atmosphere was very cozy, lots of little corners and Greek music and pictures. The only thing I would have to complain about would be that the payment could have been a little more professional. The waiter walked away from the table due to WiFi problems with the credit card. And of course there are also Greeks, Italians and Turks where you get some bread beforehand, the portions are a little larger and you get a schnapps or tea with the bill,...but they're not all the same and that's a good thing. I would definitely come back again. Thank you

Took the family here with my Father and Mother, made a reservation early for right as the restaurant opened at 530 pm and had an excellent meal. The menu is packed with tones of options and our host was amazing.

Wir waren im Weihnachtsurlaub , per Zufall ,wegen Starkregen, sind wir dort gelandet und was soll ich schreiben, manchmal braucht es einen Anstoß! Restlos begeistert, so dass wir direkt 4 Tage später noch einmal gebucht haben! Essen , Personal, Einrichtung......alles top!

Ordered the gyros in metaxa sauce. This isnt like a kebab in pita bread; this is more like a casserole with the meat/cheese and baked in an oven. It was delicious and was enough for 2 meals! Prices were good and service was excellent. I would definitely go back.

ein derartig pampiger Service habe ich lange schon nicht erlebt. Ab 13.00 Uhr wurde ständig auf die Schließungszeiten um 14,00 hingewiesen. Dazu teuer: Gyros 16,00 Uhr zu Mittag. Mittagskarte galt heute nicht. So schnell nicht wieder. Waren zu Dritt!

Die Begrüßung war sehr "geschäftig" und leider nicht herzlich. Das Essen kann sehr schnell und war auch lecker. Aaaaber Vorsicht: Die Herrentoilette ist mit Turnschuhen rutschig wie eine Eisbahn. Ohne Witz, sehr, sehr glatt. Habe es gemeldet, aber ob dich jemand des Themas annimmt weiß ich nicht. Geht aber gar nicht. Verletzungsgefahr sehr groß

After waiting 25 minutes we were asked what we’d like. Ten minutes later we finally got a drink!!!! 15 mins later we had our starters. Waited an age for them to take plates then they gave us our salad, that goes with all dishes, and it sat there for another 15 mins before we got our mains. Almost 3 hours later we completed our dinner!! The food was okay, salad was a bit old and not much tomato, no olives or feta to be seen!!! Not very happy waiters which makes for not very happy customers.

Außer dem Internetradio und dem Essen empfand ich hier wenig als griechisch. Ich war schon oft in Griechenland, nur leider habe ich hier nichts von Griechenland gespürt. Kaltherziger Service, keine Gastfreundschaft, das Erfüllen einer kleinen Bitte - Fehlanzeige. Obwohl ich nur einen ruhigen Platz wollte. Antwort: „geht nicht“. Das gipfelte darin, dass ich noch um etwas Saziki-Nachschub bat. Dieser wurde mir mit 5,50€ berechnet. Ein gutes Restaurant ist halt doch mehr als nur das Essen. Da das Essen gut, aber halt auch nur nach Standard-Grieche geschmeckt hat, war das leider ein sehr enttäuschender Abend.

Me and my family were looking for a place to eat at 9pm, and found this place. They greeted us and gave us food in 5 minutes. It was great ,big portions tasty food and drinks even gave us complimentary ouzo which was also great all in all 10/10

We visited here on our first night and didn’t have a reservation (it was also Faschings week) we were shown to a lovely table. Food was good and again excellent portion sizes. Waiters were very friendly and attentive.

Grundsolides griechisches Restaurant. Service war sehr freundlich und außerordentlich schnell. Essen war schnell serviert, und gut angerichtet. Geschmacklich war auch alles gut. Das Inventar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Würde ich nochmal besuchen!

We had just arrived in Garmisch and was looking for a restaurant- and not a fast food outlet. El Greco was the only one we found. We was a little dubious at first of going in, but when we did we was pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely friendly reception from a waiter, was shown to our table and offered a menu and drinks. Drinks and a starter (and a free shot) was promptly served, followed by our main course. The portions were large, food was good quality, service was friendly and quick and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was quickly filling up with locals and we could see why. Excellent place to eat.

I have been going to Garmisch since I was baby. Been blessed to go visit my Oma und Opa in the summers.. we go out to lunch a lot and this Greek place is amazing!! I highly recommend the carmari plate! I get it every year it’s fabulous!! And they give you a shot of greek liquor after your meal! Great place and beautiful outside seating with plenty of shade during the summer provided by chestnut trees.

Food was just ok, but the server was very rude. We asked a simple question and he berated us and then talked about us to his coworkers for another couple of minutes. Not a place worth visiting.

Naja, war nicht so prickelnd. Der Treppenabgang zum Eingang war nicht sehr einladend. Die Speisen waren lieblos angerichtet. Ehr wie Pommesbude. Ketchup in Tüte für ein Kindergericht, welches an sich KEIN Kindergericht war. O-Ton Kind: Welches Kind ißt rohe Zwiebelringe und lila Salat. Hatten uns mehr versprochen.

Wir waren ein paar Tage in Garmisch. Da die Stadt (Dorf) gefühlt um 19 Uhr alles schließt, waren wir zwei mal im El Greco zum Abendessen. Das Essen ist gut. Darüber möchte ich auch nicht sprechen. Was mir sauer aufstößt ist die "Gästebetreung". Ich finde es als nicht angebracht, das ich fast 20 Minuten brauche um einen Kellner auf mich aufmeksam zu machen um etwas zu bestellen. Die Kellner laufen, als wären sie mit Scheuklappen ausgestattet, durch die Gegend. Ferner ärgert es mich wenn ich dann nochmals gefühlt nach 15 Minuten selbst aufstehen muss um meine Rechnung an der Theke zu bezahalen . Dabei muss ich feststellen das alle drei Kellner - der eine schon in Feierabendjacke - in einem Zwischenraum zwischen Küche und Gastraum am Rauchen und Schwätzen sind, statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern. Darüber sollte sich die Geschäftsführung Gedanken machen.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber wenn man den „wow“ Effekt sucht ist man hier leider falsch.. Man kann es empfehlen das ist keine Frage. Es dauerte alles auch nicht lange um 18 Uhr dort gewesen 18:30 gezahlt.

This place was simply amazing and professionals!! They accommodated our large group, prepared the food, so that once we were all there, they food was ready and Hot! Thank you all for being the BEST restaurant we ate at during our trip to the area!

Details: Extremely unhelpful when it comes to healthy food or vegetarian/vegan options when you need it: the narrow-minded staff is not willing to help you with this in any way. The food is way too greasy and salty and we were very disappointed with the poor quality of the food (e.g. completely tasteless potatoes). And on top of that, very unfriendly and rude service. It's a shame that this kind of "restaurant" exists in beautiful Garmisch. It's more like cheap Greek fast food made from rancid leftovers. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to have a nice vacation!

Restaurant service friendly, though they should not have brought Earl Grey tea at all when we clearly said we wanted solely English B'fast. Anyhow in the end we got free hot water. The stuffed aubergine was not bad, and delivered quickly, but clearly been in the oven before and now after defrosting put on the plate. The 'grilled' mini-calamaris were again grilled a long time ago, now heated in a pan, and supplemented with almost-cold potatoe and veggies. Any promise of freshly made food proved wrong, but sadly the price promised fresh food. Hence avoid avoid...
