Eismanufaktur Gelato Di Nonna 1990 in Hilden

Extremely overpriced. I had a sundae, which was just three scoops of boring vanilla ice cream with a sugary berry sauce on top, no other flavors, no fruit, just that. And I paid more for it than I would for a proper sundae at a regular ice cream parlor.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this ice cream parlor. A nice self-service, okay, but everything except the straw is made of single-use plastic. They didn't understand the plastic problem. No restrooms, totally unacceptable. The ice cream was good, but too expensive without service.

The ice cream is delicious - but there's a price difference depending on the flavor... not immediately noticeable :-/ They could work on the friendliness... previous reviews don't seem to have changed that!

I love being in Hilden and enjoying the sometimes unusual flavors of ice cream. The flavor is intense and always wins me over. My recommendation: enjoy ice cream at Gelato Di Nonna.

The quality of the ice cream is outstanding – you can taste the high-quality ingredients in every flavor. The changing ice cream flavors are a real highlight. Always new, creative creations of consistently high quality! At at least €1.80 per scoop, it's quite expensive, but the quality is worth every cent. Highly recommended: Cheesecake with raspberry, cinnamon roll, and hazelnut.

By far the worst value for money in a long time. The panna cotta ice cream was watery, and I didn't like the waffle at all. Small portions – not appropriate for the price.

The milkshake tasted entirely of milk. Sorry, but I could have just had a glass of cheap milk at home for a few cents! And for €4.50, that's just unacceptable!

Nice service, but some scoop ice cream flavors still need improvement - especially the Snickers flavor. A scoop of ice cream currently costs EUR 1.80.

Top ice cream parlor in the entire Mettmann district and the surrounding area, very child-friendly and helpful and the ice cream tastes great I can only recommend the iced coffee ;)

Super delicious ice cream with fair prices and some unusual flavors! We tried a total of four varieties and were all very impressed. What is particularly noteworthy is that the taste is nice and intense, the taste buds are happy, haha. Full recommendation if you are traveling in Hilden :-)

I stumbled upon this great ice cream parlor by chance, located in the market square next to the church. You can get exceptionally good types of ice cream here. I chose raspberry mint. The raspberries tasted very good, complemented by the fresh mint. A top quality product. Of course, the price is a little above average but you get some great ice cream here. I will go here more often in the summer. Highly recommended!

2.50 € for a really mini scoop of pistachio ice cream is audacious, and then with unfriendly service it's not a good combination, it's a shame!

Small ice cream cafe located on the market square in Hilden. There is a large selection of ice cream flavors and drinks. The employees are very friendly, but there is only self-service at the outdoor dining tables or sales at the ice cream counter. The prices are reasonable and access is barrier-free. Very tasty ice cream and a visit is recommended.

Unfortunately very below average and overpriced! The ice cream balls are mini (at least on Walderstrasse, normal size at the old market). Many flavors even cost €2.40! I would pay if it was worth it. But unfortunately it doesn't. It's a blessing that we have several long-established ice cream manufacturers in Himdrn that taste better and even the sales staff are friendly!

In my opinion, Gelato di Nonna is a great ice cream factory. As a rule, I have never really been an ice cream fan and this has been confirmed time and again. Gelato di Nonna has now managed to ensure that occasional trips into the city always pass the old market and end with one of the extraordinary (not run-of-the-mill) scoops of ice cream. I'm always excited to see whether a new (not yet tried) variety has made it into the range and I'm happy to pay a little more for the noticeably good quality and special taste. This is an absolute recommendation for people who would like to try something new and don't want to devour the ice cream of the past 50 generations in huge cups at low prices. I would be happy if the branch at the old market were open more often.

The tastiest homemade ice cream in the area. You can choose from 12 varieties. We tried a total of 5 varieties and are absolutely thrilled. So creamy and flavorful that it was a real treat. When we are in Hilden, we will always eat our ice cream there. A ball costs €1.80, but it's absolutely worth it.

It's been a long time since I've had such delicious ice cream. We've been there twice now and we weren't disappointed twice. And even though we arrived 20 minutes late, the service was still open and very friendly. So that's what I call customer-oriented. Will definitely be regular customers.

We were curious because of the report on WDR and visited the new ice cream parlor on Walder Straße. We found the prices quite high (e.g. 2.50 for a scoop of pistachio ice cream)! The ice cream was ok, but nothing exceptional. The "salted" was very salty and there were water crystals in the mango ice cream. We therefore remain loyal to our old ice cream parlor.

Fancy ice cream flavors or not. 1.80 EUR per ball (and it is a “normal” size) is simply 80 cents too much. Straciatella just tastes like Straciatella. Nut was way too sweet. If fruit or other ingredients have to travel halfway around the world: there you go. But that doesn't justify these exorbitant prices. The service (Walder Str.) was unfriendly and overwhelmed. 3 cups couldn't even be packed. I'd rather go somewhere else soon. And if you want to score points with quality: just eat an ice cream at Unbehaun in Düsseldorf! Unbeatable.

Great, delicious ice cream with unusual ice cream flavors that change often. I think it will be hard to find a better one in Hilden. Service, you notice that there are no professionals behind the counter, but you should ignore that. The ice makes up for it. It's also worth the trip from further away.

Not nice service, I bought some ice cream. It wasn't pressed firmly and fell straight down!!! Not even a refund of the money or at least a new ice cream!! Not recommended!

Simply great! There was a lot going on today, but the queue was worth it and the service was very friendly, and our wishes as a family were also taken into account! We felt very comfortable and it tasted wonderful, and there are also very tasty unusual varieties! Thank you 🙏🏻

Unfortunately you don't get a glass cup at the place either, just a paper cup with a plastic spoon. But the ice cream was delicious.

Die Sitzplätze sind weiterhin knapp, eine kleine Bank und 2 Tischchen mit je 2 Stühlen. Die Preise sind noch einmal gestiegen und zwar 1,80 € für die normale Kugel und 2,50 € für die Premiumkugel. Der Service ist freundlich aber sehr lahm. Das Eis ist sehr lecker. 08.2022 Sehr leckeres Eis, dass nicht aufgetürmt präsentiert wird. Das spricht für natürliche Zutaten. Ich kann es aber nicht prüfen. Leider sind Sitzplätze rar. Das Eis ist mit 1,60 € pro normaler Kugel und 2,40€ für premium recht teuer. Es gibt auch sehr interessante Sorten, die es nicht überall gibt. Wegen der Qualität und des Geschmacks volle 5 Sterne

War super lecker, das Personal war auch nett.

Sehr gemütliches Café mit freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Meinen Morgenkaffee trinke ich jeden Tag mit Waffeln oder einem Stück Kuchen. Und natürlich freue ich mich über leckeres Eis. Das Café befindet sich in einer Fußgängerzone, draußen gibt es ziemlich viele Tische. Innen ist es warm und gemütlich. Meine Freunde und ich kommen oft hierher. Unsere Kinder essen hier gerne Eis. Eis wird übrigens aus Naturprodukten (Eigenproduktion) zubereitet. Ich kann dieses Café sehr empfehlen.

Für mich und meine Familie die beste Eisdiele in ohligs und Umgebung im Sommer das Eis, besonders zitrone Basilikum ist mein Favorit und im Winter geht nichts über eine Bubble Waffel und einen heißen Kaffee 😍 love it!!!
