Super tasty, nice location after moving,

We enjoy coming and appreciate the fresh preparation and the relaxed atmosphere. ....I wrote that 3 years ago.... Today was very disappointing. In total our visit lasted 2.5 hours. There is a waiting time of 1 hour and 20 minutes between the starter and the main course. Just too long. We each got paid for a drink, but the mood was in the basement. Many orders were sold and picked up outside the home and that gives the impression that the kitchen is not keeping up, to the dismay of the local customers. A reason for us not to come back. In addition, the atmosphere suffered greatly due to the move. No longer Asian design, but rather an outdated brewery flair with blue walls. Very, very sad!!!

Extensive menu with Asian dishes. We ordered sushi and were thrilled, everything was very tasty. Service very friendly and attentive. You should reserve a table in advance. Ambiance is not typically Asian, which didn't bother us. But it would be nice if the guests were distributed better. At around 6 p.m., the left area of ​​the restaurant was almost completely full and correspondingly loud, while the right area was almost completely empty. It is incomprehensible to the guest that they are not seated at a quieter table. There is parking next door in the Aldi parking lot (at least on Sundays, I can't say anything on weekdays).

Spatially a spacious location but not like the usual Asian dining temples. Service was also very attentive. The food tasted impeccably and there was something for everyone. We left the restaurant completely satisfied... we'll be back... we were there again and the quality of service and food remains high.

The two of us were there yesterday. We are regular sushi eaters, so we can judge the quality and appearance. Price performance is not right at all. The furnishings don't fit and are old (probably taken over from the previous steakhouse). The original shop in Hilden is worlds better and so is the food. The sushi was carelessly placed on the plate, no decoration, nothing... Quality was delivery service level. Two people, no dessert, three drinks, €77... An hour and a half and then we had to leave (because it was just uncomfortable).

There is really delicious Thai cuisine here. The portions are definitely large, you won't leave here hungry! The service was okay so far. However, I would highly recommend always calling and making a reservation as Blue Monkey's is very busy even during the week!

We went there for the first time today and thought it was great. We cannot confirm the long waiting times that are often criticized. We all enjoyed the drinks (some of them homemade), starters, main courses and desserts. In my opinion, only the baked vanilla ice cream was already prepared and would have tasted much better freshly baked. It was frozen very hard on the inside, I've had better food elsewhere. But that's complaining at a high level, because otherwise everything tasted really, really good. All service staff were attentive, friendly and very personable. We'll definitely be back!

My family and I used to enjoy going to Blue Monkeys in Hilden, but after our last visit we are just disappointed. The service was an absolute disaster! Waiters constantly walked past us, empty glasses were ignored, and we had to actively shout to even order drinks. The worst thing: After waiting for over an hour, we didn't even have the starter on the table - while three tables that came after us had been served their food a long time ago! We asked twice where our food was, but there was no explanation or apology. When we finally decided to leave and communicated this to the front, there was not even an attempt to salvage the situation or apologize. No nice gesture, nothing. Such poor service is simply unacceptable - especially considering that things used to be much better here. This was definitely the last visit to Blue Monkeys for us. It's a real shame what happened to it!

Only when we paid did the waitress seem to be interested in us again. This leads to a star deduction, but the Blue Monkey remains a clear recommendation. There were four of us, we had a sushi platter as a starter and four different main courses, everything was very good. Unfortunately, the service is also poor. Drinks are placed anywhere on the table, regardless of who ordered what. There are no serving cutlery. From ordering to starter 50 minutes...

My go-to restaurant! I go here at least 2-4 times a month, sometimes with all my friends. The food is great. There is a wide selection and “unusual” fusion cuisine. The staff is friendly and helpful. It doesn't matter whether you come with a large group or as a couple, and it doesn't matter whether you come with children or as students ;). The prices are really respectable for the large portions. The offer to have leftovers packed up is also very commendable! This way you don't waste any food. My personal favorites are: Yellow Thai Curry, Ramen Miso Soup, Sesame Chicken, Gyoza, Kimchi and the Baked Rolls :).

Excellent sushi of exceptional quality. Delicious, cozy and inexpensive. We come here regularly and have not had any negative experiences so far. See you next time.

Now for reprimand Long waiting times for food can happen, but those who had to wait even longer were provided with free drinks at the neighboring table. But it's not possible to wait when paying. The Pad Thai dish was mediocre and had no taste and you couldn't taste the hot peppers. Silken tofu no better. Except my duck 🦆 was very good.

For starters we had chicken gyoza and shrimp summer rolls. Both dishes were also available vegetarian. For the main course we had the sushi platter Sushi for two. Super beautifully presented and great quality of the food. The staff is very accommodating and responds individually to requests. Gladly again!

The map leads through China, Japan, Thailand and offers a delicious, fresh selection that is as far removed from the glutamate cuisine of the Chinese snack bars as Hilden of Beijing. The service is super friendly even when things get stressful. At Blue Monkeys, as in every restaurant right now, you could definitely use one more waitress. All in all, an absolute recommendation from me.

Completely tasteless, sauces were watery and there were no Asian spices to be found. The breaded and unbreaded chicken was fibrous, dry and unseasoned, the vegetables were almost raw. Here you are fed off, nothing more. And that at high prices. Only someone who has no idea about Asian cuisine can find the food good. Never again Blue Monkeys!!!

We had dinner at Blue Monkeys with the family. The company moved to these new premises within the city and has gained significantly as a result! The food is still very good, very tasty and rich. The palette ranges from sushi, in many variations, to classic dishes and curries to some Asian dishes, many of which are vegetarian. If you like Asian cuisine, you will find it here. The inner restaurant area is large, bright and very friendly and provides the typical ambience. There is also a pretty outdoor area with a large terrace in an inner courtyard. There is some street noise here, but bearable. Unfortunately, they seem to have taken a few old habits with them from the old restaurant and a lot of things don't seem to have worked out yet: various bicycles and old advertising signs from the previous business are standing unmotivated on the terrace. There are also a few places to wonder in the restaurant. This will all certainly get even better since we've only been in the rooms for a few weeks. The staff is, as always, very friendly and solution-oriented, but with the busy restaurant they quickly reach the limit of capacity, which requires patience from the guest. All in all, still worth a visit. We'd love to come back!

The food was again very, very tasty. We have often picked up something. Yesterday we were there spontaneously, we were told we could stay there until 6 p.m. without a reservation, which I thought was totally OK. As always, the food was super tasty and fresh. What is not possible in my opinion is that as soon as you had the last bite on your fork, it was cleared away. I still had some sushi on the plate and the question arose as to whether it could be cleared away. And no, it was just after 5 p.m. We felt rushed.

Gladly again. Incredibly friendly service and very tasty food. Also beautifully presented on the plate. The portions could have been a little larger. Dogs are also welcome. We sat in the beautifully decorated beer garden. It seemed very dark inside because of the dark paint on the walls. I found it took some getting used to. It was also very warm in the restaurant. We were skeptical at first because we had heard that there can be long waiting times for food even during the week - first of all - no, it was quick for us and for others too. Maybe it was the initial difficulties. When we went there on a Saturday evening (with a prior reservation in the beer garden) it was relatively full inside and outside. Finally, complete on the outside and half on the inside. We ordered starters and main courses, the meal lasted a total of an hour and we ate relaxed. The price-performance ratio is fair considering the quantity and quality. In terms of taste, all the dishes were delicious and varied, see also the photos. We will be happy to come back because we liked it.

Blue Monkey was one of our favorite restaurants before the move. Unfortunately, the new location is very loud. It's almost impossible to have a conversation when there are a few guests in the room. When we visited (Sunday lunchtime), half of the location was well attended, but still far from fully occupied. Unfortunately, the service was hardly able to keep up with the orders and drinks. We had to make several attempts to place the order for our food and second drink. Unfortunately, there was no proactive demand. After we ordered, we received our starters after 30 minutes and our main course after 1.5 hours in the restaurant. When we asked after an hour when our main course would arrive, the waitress only replied that we had received a starter in the meantime... As before the move, the food was flawless and incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, the ambience, the volume and the service are no longer suitable.

What changed as a result of the restaurant's move? The new restaurant is very large and also has a nice outdoor area. We were shown to the table. The restaurant is furnished to a higher quality, but too dark for my taste. I would have preferred a lighter color on the walls. Drinks came quickly and we enjoyed the food very much. Prices are a bit higher for an Asian restaurant, but acceptable. The service did a good job. But what is not at all acceptable in my opinion is the volume even with just a few guests. Nothing was done at all for soundproofing. Conclusion: I prefer to go to the "old Nam" in Hilden, because the furnishings there are not that high quality, but the service and the food preparation are just as good and the prices are lower and I don't have to "yell" so much to communicate .

We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. We had to wait 45-50 minutes between the starter and the main course, which I don't think is okay because what about customers who are in a hurry? I made a table reservation request for 11 people online 5 days in advance, and the confirmation came promptly. We went there last night, everything was already prepared for us and a nice corner was chosen. The separate food and drinks menu was very diverse, but I didn't understand why they wrote “Barcadi” instead of Bacardi on the drinks menu. The drinks came quickly and were at the right temperature, the food arrived almost to everyone at the same time, the wait wasn't a problem because it was still very hot. The food was served in special plates depending on the dish and the dishes and side dishes were put together very harmoniously. The waiters were very friendly and focused on their work, they all coordinated well with each other and supported each other, I think it's great. We all really enjoyed the food and had a lovely evening there. A thank you to the entire team.
