Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. It took a while for the first waiter to come to us to take the order. When we got our food we had already been waiting for an hour. The food was ok, a bit cold but you could eat it.

First of all, praise A great shop with a beautiful outdoor area The sushi we ordered 🍱 was very tasty. Next time just sushi. Now for reprimand Long waiting times for food can happen, but those who had to wait even longer were provided with free drinks at the neighboring table. But it's not possible to wait when paying. The Pad Thai dish was mediocre and had no taste and you couldn't taste the hot peppers. Silken tofu no better. Except my duck 🦆 was very good.

The service was very, very friendly. It took a while for the food to arrive but it was tasty 😋 the portions are good too. Unfortunately, the tables were already worn out because they were from the restaurant before. But I would still eat there more times!!

We mourn the loss of the bright, modern restaurant, unfortunately it is now being rented out to someone else. It's a huge difference to the new location in the Walderstrasse. The few staff are not to be envied given the running surface, it is clear that the service suffers, how can that be achieved? Not acceptable...

Excellent food! And the portion size was really good too. Around 6 p.m. it got a little more crowded and unfortunately the service staff didn't pay any attention to us. We then went to the cash register to pay. Nevertheless we will come back. The food was really good and it's easy to park at Aldi.

The food is still of very high quality and the atmosphere in the new restaurant is also great. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired: After choosing a seat and receiving the menu, we had to wait a whopping 20 minutes to even be served. During the course of the evening we also had to make several independent efforts to be able to place further orders. The volume in the restaurant is still not quite as great, but it is acceptable. Still a good address in Hilden and certainly an even better one if something changes to the service.

Very tasty food, very nice service

For starters we had chicken gyoza and shrimp summer rolls. Both dishes were also available vegetarian. For the main course we had the sushi platter Sushi for two. Super beautifully presented and great quality of the food. The staff is very accommodating and responds individually to requests. Gladly again!

The map leads through China, Japan, Thailand and offers a delicious, fresh selection that is as far removed from the glutamate cuisine of the Chinese snack bars as Hilden of Beijing. The service is super friendly even when things get stressful. At Blue Monkeys, as in every restaurant right now, you could definitely use one more waitress. All in all, an absolute recommendation from me.

Completely tasteless, sauces were watery and there were no Asian spices to be found. The breaded and unbreaded chicken was fibrous, dry and unseasoned, the vegetables were almost raw. Here you are fed off, nothing more. And that at high prices. Only someone who has no idea about Asian cuisine can find the food good. Never again Blue Monkeys!!!

The food was delicious, but we had to wait a long time. On the other hand, employees can just work and then it just takes longer. Next time we'll just make a reservation earlier so that my stomach doesn't have to worry about late dinner.

We had dinner at Blue Monkeys with the family. The company moved to these new premises within the city and has gained significantly as a result! The food is still very good, very tasty and rich. The palette ranges from sushi, in many variations, to classic dishes and curries to some Asian dishes, many of which are vegetarian. If you like Asian cuisine, you will find it here. The inner restaurant area is large, bright and very friendly and provides the typical ambience. There is also a pretty outdoor area with a large terrace in an inner courtyard. There is some street noise here, but bearable. Unfortunately, they seem to have taken a few old habits with them from the old restaurant and a lot of things don't seem to have worked out yet: various bicycles and old advertising signs from the previous business are standing unmotivated on the terrace. There are also a few places to wonder in the restaurant. This will all certainly get even better since we've only been in the rooms for a few weeks. The staff is, as always, very friendly and solution-oriented, but with the busy restaurant they quickly reach the limit of capacity, which requires patience from the guest. All in all, still worth a visit. We'd love to come back!

The food was again very, very tasty. We have often picked up something. Yesterday we were there spontaneously, we were told we could stay there until 6 p.m. without a reservation, which I thought was totally OK. As always, the food was super tasty and fresh. What is not possible in my opinion is that as soon as you had the last bite on your fork, it was cleared away. I still had some sushi on the plate and the question arose as to whether it could be cleared away. And no, it was just after 5 p.m. We felt rushed.

Gladly again. Incredibly friendly service and very tasty food. Also beautifully presented on the plate. The portions could have been a little larger. Dogs are also welcome. We sat in the beautifully decorated beer garden. It seemed very dark inside because of the dark paint on the walls. I found it took some getting used to. It was also very warm in the restaurant. We will be back definitely. I really want to try the sushi.

Fast service - delicious food - great ambience!

Unfortunately I wasn't convinced, the map is quite large but little convinced me. I personally found sushi a bit expensive, but if the quality is right you can do it. Unfortunately the service was really not good 😞 Don't know if we'll come back again.

Title: Best Asian Restaurant in Hilden! The Blue Monkey in Hilden is simply amazing! Here you get everything you want. The prices are fair and you get a lot for your money. It's definitely worth it! The sushi is truly the best in town! But even if you don't like sushi, everyone can find something tasty here. Even when the restaurant is full, the service is great. The staff is friendly and quick.

We were skeptical at first because we had heard that there can be long waiting times for food even during the week - first of all - no, it was quick for us and for others too. Maybe it was the initial difficulties. When we went there on a Saturday evening (with a prior reservation in the beer garden) it was relatively full inside and outside. Finally, complete on the outside and half on the inside. We ordered starters and main courses, the meal lasted a total of an hour and we ate relaxed. The price-performance ratio is fair considering the quantity and quality. In terms of taste, all the dishes were delicious and varied, see also the photos. We will be happy to come back because we liked it.

Absolute disaster. We were brought to the table very hectically and then ignored for 40 minutes... The table next to us, which came later, was served first... when it had eaten, the drinks were brought to us. The food itself is a matter of taste, not a lot and the quality isn't the best either. Everything is very loveless. After waiting 1.5 hours we decided to eat the main meal at home. The ambience was also modest, very careless and sloppily painted everywhere, it just looks cheap. But it fits with the rest of the impression. It's a shame, things have really gone downhill since the move...

I don't like the atmosphere at all. Everywhere carelessly painted over, far too dark and very loud. We were also disappointed with the food, the sauces were very watery. Sorry, little Nam in the city is much better.

We (6 people) went to the newly opened blue monkey today full of anticipation. What can I say :-( a total failure. It was just loud and we waited over 2 hours for our main courses. Only after we asked twice did it finally come. The platter for 2 people for 60 euros is not in any of them Price performance ratio and we were really disappointed. In any case, it could be improved.

Blue Monkey was one of our favorite restaurants before the move. Unfortunately, the new location is very loud. It's almost impossible to have a conversation when there are a few guests in the room. When we visited (Sunday lunchtime), half of the location was well attended, but still far from fully occupied. Unfortunately, the service was hardly able to keep up with the orders and drinks. We had to make several attempts to place the order for our food and second drink. Unfortunately, there was no proactive demand. After we ordered, we received our starters after 30 minutes and our main course after 1.5 hours in the restaurant. When we asked after an hour when our main course would arrive, the waitress only replied that we had received a starter in the meantime... As before the move, the food was flawless and incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, the ambience, the volume and the service are no longer suitable.

What changed as a result of the restaurant's move? The new restaurant is very large and also has a nice outdoor area. We were shown to the table. The restaurant is furnished to a higher quality, but too dark for my taste. I would have preferred a lighter color on the walls. Drinks came quickly and we enjoyed the food very much. Prices are a bit higher for an Asian restaurant, but acceptable. The service did a good job. But what is not at all acceptable in my opinion is the volume even with just a few guests. Nothing was done at all for soundproofing. Conclusion: I prefer to go to the "old Nam" in Hilden, because the furnishings there are not that high quality, but the service and the food preparation are just as good and the prices are lower and I don't have to "yell" so much to communicate .

We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. We had to wait 45-50 minutes between the starter and the main course, which I don't think is okay because what about customers who are in a hurry? In addition, if I had known that it was a dog restaurant, I wouldn't have gone in there, how can you be sure that the dogs are clean. I'm eating and two dogs next to me are looking at me, which definitely made the food less appetizing. Funny that we were served first but everyone else got their food earlier and we only got it when they were finished.

From the starters to the very aromatic curry and especially the delicious sushi - everything was great! In addition, a very friendly and good-humoured service. Highly recommended!

Went to Blue Monkey's for the third time. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and invites you to a relaxing evening. So far it has never been difficult to get appointments a week in advance. The food and lemonades taste very good and there is also a good selection for vegetarians. The food always came very quickly and the service is very friendly. I would be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant to others.

I made a table reservation request for 11 people online 5 days in advance, and the confirmation came promptly. We went there last night, everything was already prepared for us and a nice corner was chosen. The separate food and drinks menu was very diverse, but I didn't understand why they wrote “Barcadi” instead of Bacardi on the drinks menu. The drinks came quickly and were at the right temperature, the food arrived almost to everyone at the same time, the wait wasn't a problem because it was still very hot. The food was served in special plates depending on the dish and the dishes and side dishes were put together very harmoniously. The waiters were very friendly and focused on their work, they all coordinated well with each other and supported each other, I think it's great. We all really enjoyed the food and had a lovely evening there. A thank you to the entire team.

Coming here for the second time. The dishes are really very tasty. 🤤 Since the map is quite extensive, you can try your hand at it. 🤗 Vegetarians also get their money's worth here, as my friend confirms to me. A very nice atmosphere and the volume is still pleasant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even though it was very busy. I had the red Thai curry with chicken. Pleasant spiciness, extremely tasty and good portion size. My companions had, among other things: Mama mango, sushi, duck breast... Everyone loved it and everything was eaten. The recommendation for the Japanese beer Kirin was also well received by my friend. I will definitely go there again. In my opinion, highly recommended.

Disappointing experience at Thai restaurant Rating: usually doesn't deserve a single star We had made a reservation for the restaurant by telephone and were looking forward to a cozy evening, but unfortunately our expectations were bitterly disappointed. When we arrived we discovered that our reserved table was not available. Worse, it appeared our reservation had not been noted at all. Despite the obvious overcrowding of the restaurant, there was no effort from the staff to find a solution for us. This was particularly frustrating since we had traveled from far away. The discussions with the staff did not lead to any results and were very short. My companion quickly became annoyed by the whole situation and we decided to leave the restaurant. The organization was extremely poor and unfortunately I can't say anything positive about the friendliness of the staff, as we didn't feel welcome in the short time we were there. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was a huge disappointment and a lost evening. Edit: Sorry, but it seems like the disorganization of the house is being made into the guest's problem. I remember the reservation clearly. (I would also be happy to upload the contact and conversation time as a screenshot online!) Maybe you should think together about where the error in the system could lie instead of jumping to conclusions.

Waren schon mal vor 2 Jahren hier. Das Essen war wirklich gut, der asiatische Teil kommt angenehm durch. Die Bedienung ist ausgesprochen freundlich und angenehm. Ambiente ist nicht unser Ding, sehr sachlich und exorbitant laut.

Ich habe das 1. Mal Sushi gegessen und war total begeistert.

Wir sind Stammgäste im Blue Monkey´s. Das Essen ist super lecker, egal ob man Sushi, Steak oder Curry bestellt, alles schmeckt mega gut. Hinzu kommt, dass man unglaublich freundlich empfangen und den gesamten Abend super nett und zuvorkommend bedient wird. Das gesamte Team ist sehr aufmerksam und immer gut gelaunt, besonders hervorzuheben Nhung :-) Wir fühlen uns hier so wohl, dass wir gern nach Hilden fahren.

Wirklich nettes Personal...ABER... Wenn man in ein quasi noch leeres Lokal kommt um 17.30....Getränke nach 15 und Essen erst nach 30 min aufgenommen wird...und das essen dann um 19.15 immer noch nicht da ist während alle anderen Gäste die später kamen schon Nachspeise bestellen...das geht einfach GAR NICHT. ZUDEM waren wir mit 2 Babys da, da kann man annehmen dass es nicht lustig ist so ewig zu warten. Leider ist das der Punkt wo man als Gast echt sauer wird so "nett" das Personal auch sein mag...ich hatte vor Frust keinen Hunger mehr, und das knusprige Entchen hat seinen Knusper wo liegen lassen am Weg. Dessert hätte ich gerne gehabt ursprünglich aber nach gesamt 2.5 Std keinen Bedarf mehr..

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit hervorragendem Essen. Thai Curry, gebratene Ente, Rahmrnsuppe und auch das Sushi waren sehr schmackhaft. Die Menge war wohl proportioniert. Vom Service her gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Jeder Mitarbeitende hat uns sehr höflich und äußerst freundlich verwöhnt mit dem Service. Preislich absolut im Rahmen. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder dort essen.

Unser 1. Besuch. Wir werden wiederkommen. Top Service. Authentisches, schmackhaftes Essen. Preis Leistung passt.

Maravilhosa de lugar e comida um delicia

Nachdem ich bis jetzt immer nur die Kellner vor Ort in den Himmel gelobt habe, möchte ich dies nun auch hier offiziell tun. Es gibt kaum ein Restaurant wo das Gesamtpaket stimmt wie hier. Zu erst mal ist für mich wichtig dass das Essen gut ist. Dicht gefolgt vom Service. Das Ambiente kommt für mich an Dritter Stelle. Im Blue Monkeys gebe ich allen Kriterien volle Punktzahl. Das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Das Essen herrlich. In die Nr. 33 könnte ich mich reinsetzen. Auch das Sushi ist sehr lecker. Ganz besonders möchte ich hier noch den Service hervorheben. Nirgendwo sonst habe ich so entspannte und trotzdem 100% aufmerksame Kellner erlebt die niemals aufdringlich, schleimerisch oder gleichgültig sind, so, wie man es in den meisten Lokalen erlebt. Hier wird man authentisch freundlich bedient als wäre man bei Freunden zu Besuch. Weiter so Leute. Ihr seid einzigartig.

This is undoubtedly the fanciest and best restaurant in Hilden; in fact, it is one of the best Asian places in the region. I love the food, cocktails, and the atmosphere here. The staff is friendly and it’s also possible to get your dishes customised. However, the service is SLOW like really slow!
