Addendum from 8/13/24 A portion of fries (what feels like 100g) for 5.50 euros can be considered expensive or outrageous!! *************************** This is the second time that an incomplete order has been delivered. Plus, 37 minutes late Comment when making a complaint over the phone: "So what should I do now?" A simple “Sorry, forgot, will be delivered later” would have done the trick too!

Good value for money, friendly service

Once and never again. We ordered the homemade schnitzel and a cooked cheese schnitzel (BAKED with cooked cheese according to the menu). The homemade schnitzel (on the whole okay) as well as a schnitzel plain with fries and separately packaged cooked cheese were delivered. Far from “over-baked”. Very disappointing.

Very disappointed for the first time today! The salad dressing was completely over salted, there was a dead animal (that had been dead for a long time) floating in the drink 🤢 and the baguette was rock hard. The service was very clumsy - we didn't even ask how it tasted. And for the last half hour we were ignored, even though we were only half attended! We had to go in to pay, otherwise we would have sat there forever. Sitting outside was the highlight for us!! I've been there many times before, but today it was a real disaster!!! It will probably be a while before we dare to meet again, which is a shame!

Great restaurant in the middle of town, lots of parking spaces available. The food was great, the service could be improved, the staff were friendly, but a little more attention would be welcome 😊 we had a great evening despite waiting for drinks. Dared to visit again. The food is still really great, but you really need to work on the service. Unfortunately, you die of thirst because no one comes for a long time and it takes a while until supplies come. So only 2 drinks in almost 3 hours of stay. 🫣 It wasn't even completely full. At over 30 degrees you would want to drink more 😊

Rather uncomfortable inside, but nice to sit outside. The food was rather mediocre. In winter I once had the roulade, which was quite good. The red cabbage with it was also ok. But the dumplings were a disaster. I can't understand how you can serve this disgusting, slippery dumpling dough to your guests. We actually wanted to come the week after for a leg of goose. But as disgusting as the dumplings were, we left it alone! It's also a shame when I recently had a craving for a portion of hand cheese. On the supposedly current map for download it is listed for 7.90 euros. But not on the local menu. When asked, they said it hadn't existed for months. Maybe you should be a little more careful with your homepage. Who knows what else is wrong... I didn't feel like doing anything else and just left. Unfortunately, the service is also rather mixed. Sometimes it works quite well, but sometimes you are deliberately overlooked, especially indoors and when there is little activity...

Order here quite often. Always high quality, only a few minor outliers in terms of taste, but even then the quality is good. We have already tried various dishes, we like the minced steak and Frankfurter Schnitzel the best. Will definitely order again

Yesterday I had lunch with a colleague and his daughter in their own restaurant in Egelsbach. I really have to say that both the very hospitable service and the meal prepared at a high level were “top”. The Jägerschnitzel, the side salad and the dessert I ordered were delicious and lovingly prepared. I can really recommend this restaurant. Best regards, G.P.

The food was very tasty. The service was attentive, quick and very friendly. Allergies were treated with understanding.

Ordered for over €100 by phone. They didn't tell me that you couldn't pay by card! I wanted to pick up from the start because it's quicker. The fact that it was full and the food would take an hour was definitely acceptable. When we got there, there was a sign saying “Card payment not possible!” Great, thanks for the conversation! They would have liked to have been able to tell me that over the phone. So I went back to the bank, where I couldn't withdraw money because the door was broken. According to the condition, these five to ten minutes would have no effect on the quality of the food. In the end, surprisingly, I was able to pay by card. The conditions and the boss didn't suit me a bit in terms of price! I was offered a bottle of Cola or a Kaiserschmarrn for over €100. Wow, I would have had to wait again. In the end, the food was cold, the fries were limp, and the salad was soggy! Sorry, we definitely won't be ordering anything here again for a long time! Price performance was practically zero!

I've eaten at my own restaurant several times. Last Sunday I went to the restaurant with my daughter and two acquaintances to eat again. Good selection of food. The food tasted very good and, above all, was very filling. The price-performance ratio is 100%. The ambience is beautifully decorated in a rustic style. What I would particularly like to highlight is the very polite, friendly and helpful service. No matter who served us, as a guest we felt very well taken care of and treated courteously.

We weren't nice here (outside at least). Food delicious, beer too. Staff nice and hardworking

Der kleine Biergarten eignet sich perfekt für einen Sommerabend. Wir wurden direkt und sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen,immer zügig mit neuen Getränken versorgt und das Essen war super lecker. Der Service bekommt von uns 8 Daumen hoch und wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend...der Mädelstisch 🙏👏🙃

Super Essen, super Service! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leider ist das wiederholte mal, das man im Biergarten sitzt und von der Bedienung nicht war genommen wird. Immer wieder muss man sich wiederholt bemerkbar machen um zu bestellen. Heute waren es 20 Minuten bis wir endlich unsere Getränke bestellen konnten. Nach dem 1 Getränk haben wir bezahlt und sind dann lieber nach Arheiligen gefahren. Dort wird man war genommen und gut bedient.

Neuer Pächter seit kurzem. Personal ist freundlich, die Preise gehoben. Schließt relativ früh. Nachtrag 4.6.23: 2 Bedienungen im Biergarten hoffnungslos überfordert. Man muss lange warten bis jemand kommt. Und dann dauert es sehr lange bis die Getränke kommen. Das geht gar nicht,da besteht großer Nachholbedarf. Auf Grund der langen Wartezeit haben wir kein Essen bestellt .Des Weiteren wird nur Barzahlung akzeptiert. Nachtrag 13.7.23 Seit der letzten Rezension ein paar mal da gewesen. Das mit der Bedienung klappt etwas besser, wenn auch gerade am Wochenende noch eine Person außen fehlt. Verschiedene Gerichte probiert, waren alle lecker. Wurstsalat, Käsenudeln oder gebackener Camembert, hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Kartenzahlung jetzt möglich.

Teilweise kann es etwas länger dauern bis der Service kommt.

Gut bürgerliches Essen, nichts außergewöhnliches. Super nette und flotte Bedienung!!

Draussen sitzt man gut und durch die Bepflanzung wirkt es gemütlich. Grohe Bier vom Fass ist ein Argument... Hatte Schnitzel mit Pilzen und gedünsteten Zwiebeln. Etwas dünn geklopft aber gut. Die Bratkartoffeln waren knusprig. Was ich nicht so mag, ist Zucker im Salatdressing, aber das ist Geschmacksache. Insgesamt eine gute Alternative in Egelsbach zum Draussen sitzen und etwas zu essen oder auch nur ein Bierchen oder sonst was zu trinken.

Das Essen war gut aber der Service ist viel zu langsam.

Das Eigenheim ist Tradition in Egelsbach. Das Essen sehr lecker. Ich bestelle nur zur Abholung, kann zum Service vor Ort also nichts sagen. Am Service beim Abholen gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Das Essen war super! Die Karte ist nicht sonderlich groß, was ich immer gut finde. Der Service ist aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich, und man sitzt sehr schön draußen und drinnen.

Das Essen ist seit dem neuen Besitzer echt klasse, wir gehen gerne hin und bestellen auch sehr gerne dort. Das Ambiente ist wie in einer alten Ortskneipe.

Super Essen, ich denke da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Man wartet nicht so lange. Der Koch ist ein super Typ und die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Weiter so.🍽👍

Immer ein Besuch wert. Super netter Service, lecker Essen und tolle Atmosphäre. Außenbereich sitzt man toll. Es lohnt sich zu kommen.

Die Karte ist sehr fleischlastig, es gibt kaum Alternativen für Vegetarier. Deshalb leider nur 2 Sterne. Das Personal ist aber freundlich.
