There is hardly a restaurant in Düsseldorf that has as much to offer in terms of taste as the Kurve. The Muslims who downvote this for political reasons can be as crooked as they want. Tip: definitely choose the Jerusalem starter platter!

Very tasty and attentive service

After my personal reservations about eating there, I was pleasantly surprised (schnitzel and fries eater 😄). A mixed starter platter for 6 people was almost enough for everyone. Service and operation very nice and helpful.

You can sit both outside and inside. There are benches outside for about 4 people. The local is right next to a roundabout. We were there on a Sunday and there was hardly any traffic. I have no idea what it looks like on weekdays. The service is quick, very nice and accommodating. The food was excellent. Meat and fish to the point. Homemade fries and fresh bread. The 3 starters were excellent. No matter what we tried, we were all thrilled. I've never had that before. However, it is also a bit more expensive but of high quality.

Omg!!! I tried Israeli food for the first time and I was not disappointed at all. What an experience! The service could be improved. Ambience was amazing as well. Also ordered Israeli beer and dessert! Super nice and worth it

Service was super nice and accommodating. The chicken shawarma and the mezze were very good, the kebab and couscous were rather mediocre. The ambience is generally good, the system with table bookings at 6 and 8 p.m. and the inevitable change of guests is of course good on the one hand, but a bit uncomfortable on the other. Unfortunately prices are relatively high.

I've been to a lot of Israeli restaurants worldwide, and this one doesn't disappoint either! The food is absolutely amazing 🤩, the owner one of the loveliest people ever, and the atmosphere feels like coming home to family. There are good vegan and vegetarian options, too. Amazing atmosphere and such a warm gesture from the owner of the restaurant. The staffs were all smiling and had a warm and friendly gesture. The food was absolutely delicious starting from delicious dips to shakshuka, grilled platters and not to mention their delicious coffee mousse.

The Curve is a culinary gem and rightly always attracts a large number of guests. The staff impresses with their courtesy and friendliness, with the manager of the house particularly standing out. He regularly inquires personally about the guests' needs and whether he can help - a service that is second to none. The Kurve not only offers excellent food, but also a successful ambience that invites you to spend cozy and beautiful evenings. Every visit becomes a culinary experience that you will want to repeat. A small drawback could be the time it takes to prepare the dishes, but this is absolutely understandable given the high number of visitors. However, patience is rewarded here with delicious food. Another point of criticism is that the staff sometimes takes longer to bring bread and it is portioned rather sparingly for the starters. However, after every request, service is provided, which unfortunately takes some time - also due to the high number of guests. The excellent price-performance ratio of the wine, which rounds off the taste experience perfectly, should also be positively highlighted. Overall, Die Kurve is a restaurant that can be recommended without reservation. If you are looking for a combination of excellent service, tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

I was here for lunch for the first time. When the weather was nice it was a pleasure to sit outside. The homemade mint lemonade was very refreshing 😅The delicious Shakshuka was very well seasoned 😋 I'd love to come back 🥰

Positive: Food and service were great!!! Negative: Quite expensive, I personally think the drinks in particular are overpriced. Extreme noise in the restaurant. Seating is quite tight. The positive outweighs the negatives. Food is absolutely recommended.

Selling Shakshuka as an “Israeli national dish” is an absolute disgrace. If you are looking for AUTHENTICITY, HERE is the wrong place. The dishes offered here all come from Arabic cuisine - it doesn't matter that the dish tastes "just like my grandmother's in Israel" (standard quote from one of the waiters).

Very nice restaurant with rich, very good food. The furnishings are simple but comfortable. The staff is friendly, attentive and competent. The prices are slightly high, but that's completely justified given the quality. But there are two downsides. Anyone who is sensitive to noise will not feel very comfortable as it is quite loud when it is full. As the restaurant is justifiably popular, it often seems busy. You have to make a reservation urgently, but you only get a two-hour time slot. Then the next reservation comes and you have to make room. This means deciding quickly, ordering quickly and not eating too slowly. 🤭 So the second downer is that you can't hang out there for long.

I was there for the second time and both times the food was very tasty and the portions were large and the service was also great. Fast service, we were asked several times if we would like anything else and personal tips on food and drinks. Gladly again at any time.

It was very nice to be back on the curve after a few years. Very great and warm service and very tasty food. Some mezze were quite mayo-heavy but always very tasty. I can only recommend the curve.

We were here for lunch and the food tasted good, well seasoned and good portions. However, the service really wasn't good. You should at least ask every now and then if the guest would like anything else and not keep them waiting forever. I've been here again in the meantime, on a holiday and by chance the card reader or whatever didn't work that day. "Cash only". As a receipt we also received the swipe on which the orders were recorded. I have to be honest, this restaurant rip-off is really starting to annoy me. According to studies, the state loses 70 billion euros every year, i.e. all of our money. If restaurateurs feel disadvantaged by the laws, then they should try to change the laws instead of breaking them and cheating us all. In the future, I will no longer visit restaurants a second time that do not allow payment by card or do not provide a decent receipt. Let's see how far I can get with this...

We didnt make a reservation because i didnt know abt this place. They were nice enough to give us seats and told us its only available for 1hr. Didnt regret coming here. The chicken shawarma was amazing! The best. The fries were great too. Very friendly ppl.

Overall it was a nice evening. The food was delicious, just didn't blow me away. It wasn't cheap either. I find the opening times and reservation details difficult. That doesn't really suit me if I want it to be really nice.

Selling Palestinian Arab food as “Israeli” is called cultural appropriation! If the menu were Israeli, there would be Yiddish dishes that come more from Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, the stolen recipes don't taste good! Service unfriendly, but what do you expect from such a “host”. Clearly NOT RECOMMENDATION!

Eating out here helps against my constant longing for Israel :-) Typical, very tasty dishes that you would eat in Israel. Very good service with excellent advice (it's worth listening carefully here!) The only small points of complaint: better noise insulation would be nice (conversations for two are OK, over longer distances at the table doesn't work...) and there is clearly no Israeli whiskey on the map!

I wanted to try this place because I had heard so much about it from people around me. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Firstly, they use way too much salt. They overcooked the meat, making it dry and incredibly salty. We were seated near the kitchen door, and every time it opened and closed, the whole restaurant would fill up with smoke. Our clothes smelled terrible. But the worst part was that we found a piece of raw chicken in our appetizer. I hope you can understand how serious this is. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

We were there for lunch and we all really enjoyed it and enjoyed it! Good atmosphere and friendly service! The mezze selection is varied and with 4 pieces per person you will be full even if you are very hungry. Of course there are also various main courses, there is something for everyone here. Both the hummus and the falafel didn't convince me in terms of taste. In my opinion, there are better locations in Düsseldorf for this. 3 small bowls (meze) with e.g. hummus, falafel, salad plus bread for €18 is way over the top. Personally, the bread was too crusty for me to eat the meze. In addition, there is a lot of noise inside, which makes it difficult to converse as a group. As a vegan, the choice is limited. My two friends (not vegan) complained about stomach problems that same evening and the next morning, which they attributed to our dinner in the curve - although I wouldn't go that far, since of course it can never be 100% ruled out that there is no other cause gave for it. All in all, I can't really understand/share the recommendations from my friends and the good reviews.

You can avoid sitting on beer garden furniture in a restaurant of this quality, crooked and tilted towards the street, without a backrest, if you don't let yourself sit outside. That's a little strange. The authenticity of the card and service are top.

Very tasty food of Israeli cuisine. From small appetizers that are great to share, to fish, meat and vegetarian options, to delicious desserts. Everything has tasted very good so far. The service is very courteous and friendly. Two meal times are offered in the evening. If you come at 6 p.m., you have to be ready by 8 p.m. The second time slot at 8 p.m. is a little more relaxed.

If you cook food that belongs to other nations and pass it off as your own, it tastes accordingly. I don't eat Chinese or Italian either. I was very disappointed with the food and can't recommend this!

Very disappointing. Food was heavy on my stomach until the next day. Authentic Israeli cuisine tastes different. Tabbouleh salad is made from parsley and not 90% couscous. The lamb was not fresh. In addition, it feels like every 5 minutes different waiters ask you to finish your drink and finish your food. Totally hectic and stressful. The prices are very high. We paid 108 euros for 2 people. Then you should expect a little professionalism and calm while eating.

The food is of very good quality and really tasty. I find the staff extremely friendly and professional. After each course we were asked whether it was tasty. The waiters systematically walk through the restaurant so that there is always a waitress nearby and everyone gets their food almost at the same time without having to wait. No guest is disadvantaged here. A reservation is an advantage. Overall, a really authentic and warm atmosphere. I'd love to come back!

Despite a reservation, we were greeted very unfriendly and hectically. You were brought to the table with the words “No card payment today”. Not really friendly when ordering either; You were interrupted several times and not exactly politely when you wanted to express your drink request. Everyone should just name the food first, otherwise the waiter would get confused. Very noisy atmosphere, you couldn't have a conversation. Very stuffy and smelled like burnt food. Very bad service, you were asked "if you were through now", there was no request for further orders/requests the entire time, no invoice was given. The waitress just left out a note that wasn't put on the table. The food was mediocre, the salad was very sour, otherwise there was a general lack of spices in the meal. The toilets weren't clean. Very overpriced water (tap water with minimal fizz). There will be no further visit on our part; This doesn't seem to be Israeli cuisine.

Very tasty homemade lemonade, great hummus, crispy falafel and incredibly good shakshuka. Then why “only” 4 stars? 1. The background noise was brutally loud. I found it difficult to understand my partner across from me. A few sound absorbers urgently need to be installed here. 2. We were there at 6 p.m. for the first shift. After everyone had placed their order, a thick, acrid smoke wafted through the restaurant at around 6:25 p.m., so that the entire room was filled with fog. According to the waitress, these were the grills. The extraction system in the kitchen doesn't seem to be working properly.

One of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf. The quality of the food is very good. The service staff are very friendly and humorous. We have been there three times and have never been disappointed. We can recommend the large starter plate. Afterwards we are always full. Also try the Israeli wine. Delicious. The only drawback. You have to have cash with you. The payment machine doesn't work. Parking spaces are also not easy to find.

We were in the curve for the first time this evening. We had always heard good things, unfortunately we had the opposite experience. First of all, the food is very tasty, but the prices are also very high. You are greeted with the sentence “Card payment is not possible today”. We continue into a cafeteria-like room. Tables changed at 8 p.m., which is more reminiscent of a day of departure and arrival at the hotel... everyone goes out and new people come in. So is the volume in it Local. Hardly any opportunity to have a conversation. The ordering process was similar, processed one table after the other. However, the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately there is no “real” bottled water, but Kraneberger or Kraneberger with sparkling water, also at a hefty price. For an evening in the curve, I would recommend a wardrobe that is easy to wash, you literally smell as if you were grilled yourself. Unfortunately, that's also how the air in the restaurant is; you should really invest in a new exhaust system. At the end we had to remind us twice about the bill, which then came to €90. We are not sure whether we will come again, maybe again in the summer when there is an opportunity to sit outside.

Delicious Israeli food!! I shared several mezzes with friends and everything was excellent. So delicious! Must-try Food: Eggplant Baladi vegetarian. Good to put in 👍🏻 Must-try drink: Limonana mint-lemon lemonade. Unbelievable good! 👍🏻 Will definitely come back to try more food.

The food is absolutely delicious. We had 7 mezzes and couldn't finish the bowls completely. The waitresses are also very friendly. However, we only got the aperitifs after the food was already on the table. The atmosphere is absolutely uncomfortable. All guests stream into the restaurant at 6 p.m., from then on there is maximum hustle and bustle. Entertaining is practically impossible. There was a man sitting at the next table whose loud voice was in my ears the whole time. It's a shame about the delicious food, but you can't enjoy it like that. We wouldn't go there anymore.

Guests who come in the first shift at 6 p.m. are, as we were able to "watch live," complimented out at 7:45 p.m. "without regard to losses." Meanwhile, guests on the 8 p.m. shift are left standing outside in the cold, even though there are free tables inside. That alone doesn't work at all. What's more: there's a bad smell of grease in the store... just don't wear anything that can't be put in the washing machine straight away... it's like being in a chip shop. The service (?) is... well... service is actually the wrong word for it... And the menu: every Lebanese has the same or more of these dishes. And what you see on the plates... nothing special. Conclusion: In our opinion, this hype is baseless - it is actually not justified by anything qualitative. Except perhaps for “Generation Instagram”, who obviously find it somehow “hip” to be treated like that. --> no recommendation!

It's unbelievable how Arabic food is referred to as "Israeli cuisine" here. The fact that a lamb shawarma or a shakshuka is not a traditional Israeli food should be clear to everyone. It's a shame how cultural appropriation is being played with here. Zionism at its best.
