Tasty and good. Service was nice and quick, schitzel was good, tarte flambée was very good. Particularly noteworthy is the high-quality side salad!

Dinner with 8 people at Christmas. Restaurant cold. Soup received after over 50 minutes. Forgotten side salads, completely forgotten a meal, fried potatoes were boiled potatoes pulled through the pan with raw onions. Only 1 round of drinks, no one came after that - no questions about drinks, dessert or anything else. I have never experienced such bad service and such bad food all at once. How 5 star reviews come about here is a mystery to me. Completely disorganized. Disaster! And such a shame given the great location in the old town.

We were there for Christmas dinner with 9 people. The restaurant was fully booked and all guests seemed to be on time. So all in all, a predictable situation. We were able to order drinks once, but after that no one came to ask if we wanted something to drink. We had to wait almost 60 minutes for the soup. The main courses came over about 15 minutes, the children's meal even later. The quality of the meat (steak, schnitzel) was rated as okay at best, but the children's schnitzel was clearly unsatisfactory. The fried potatoes (incidentally the standard side dish in 70% of the dishes) did not deserve the name "roast", for example the onions were still raw and the potatoes had no color, let alone roasted aromas. The side salad was completely forgotten in 4 dishes. All in all, the ambience doesn't break it either. Not recommended.

Food and ambience good. Unfortunately the service is not that good. Pretty understaffed. You had to wait at least half an hour for your drink.

Subterranean service in the restaurant! 6 people ate and drank. Pay separately to the waiter. The manager comes with a receipt and explains that he doesn't have time to separate the invoice. One of us had to do the accounting. Absolute impudence! Never again !!

I had lunch with my mother at Edelsäcker today (December 14th, 2024). The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very appealing. The food (schnitzel and omelet) was also very tasty! Highly recommended!

We were guests in the restaurant again. Very cozy atmosphere, very tasty food. The portions are a challenge, so not small. Price/performance top!!! Very warm and humorous service. We always planned to go to Edelsäcker and now we made it happen. Very friendly and attentive service. Good, not too big, menu. The food came quickly and was very tasty, the price is medium. So nothing to complain about. Will definitely come back again.

An absolute recommendation! We come here regularly for lunch. All the employees are super nice, accommodating and now know our wishes by heart🙈 The restaurant is beautifully located in Limburg's old town and is easily accessible on foot. There are parking options in various parking garages around the area. My recommendation is the salad with chicken! Definitely worth a visit! It's nice that you exist☺️

Located on the edge of the old town of Limburg cozy outdoor area friendly staff varied selection of dishes I had the Edelsäcker Schnitzel, the breaded schnitzel was filled with sauerkraut, onions and fried bacon, that was super tasty

The service was very nice, Like the outside terrace is very nice, also the ambience. When I visit Edel Käse, I assume that there will be regional dishes. Unfortunately the meatball did not correspond to the regional cuisine. The boss was incapable of criticism! The service, however, was very nice and very understanding. Too bad

We went to this restaurant last night after a city tour with Lotti. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the tables were put together for 10 people. The food came hot from the kitchen and was very tasty. I had the pepper steak with mushroom sauce and croquettes. The service was great, we really liked it. When we are in Limburg we would like to come back.

We were eating there with 10 people and two people who had ordered the same dish complained that the meat served was “sour” (which can happen in the stormy weather). This was not accepted at all and the chef came out of the kitchen and complained about what we were trying to accuse him of and the food was perfect! The criticism was not accepted at all and as soon as it was addressed, the service stopped completely...neither the remaining plates with leftover food were cleared away, nor were drinks taken care of! After 30 minutes we all got up and went out in the hallway after paying. Here, too, we mentioned again that the handling of the situation was extremely unprofessional, but we were only told “no good German” and “didn’t have time.” We would never eat here again or recommend the store to anyone!!!!

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. It seemed very industrial and lacked any care in the preparation. The presentation was bland, without any dedication or creative approach. In terms of taste, it wasn't overwhelming and didn't leave a lasting impression. All in all, the food lacked the freshness and individuality that one would hope for in an appealing dish.

Were there around 6:15 p.m. and were able to sit in the courtyard. Very cozy. The service initially seemed annoyed. Must have just stopped him from his dinner. In any case, he was sitting at a table with a plate when we arrived. Drinks came quickly and the food was ready quickly. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were far too oily and not crispy. Otherwise very tasty and good portions. The desserts were also very tasty. Drinks too expensive in our opinion.

We had homemade meatballs with fried potatoes and salad, a salad plate with turkey strips and fresh mushrooms. Everything is fresh and very appealing. However, the portions were quite generous. Drinks and food came very quickly, the waiter was very friendly, so we definitely recommend it. Price and performance completely okay.

Full points! Great service, nice staff and always a nice seating area for five adults plus a stroller. Class ;) The food is of high quality and the portion size is generous even for the starters. So the icing on the cake is the coffee and desserts as well as the clean restaurant and toilets. Clear recommendation :)

Fries, like one of two schnitzels, extremely oversalted, drinks absolutely not edible. Drinks arrived 25 minutes after ordering, even the food was there beforehand. The staff are absolutely wrong, make mistakes and are loudly upset with the customer. Other customers were examined on site because they did not understand their bill. When we asked whether the food could be packed, we asked in a rude tone whether it didn't taste good. Absolutely not recommended.

We only stopped by to eat and the service was very good and the dishes were very well served, recommended if you are passing through and want something to eat and drink at a good price, and the best thing is pet friendly!

We spontaneously needed a table for 8 people. And that on Friday evening at 7 p.m.! We called at 6:30 p.m. 🫣 They were actually able to reserve a table for us. When we arrived, other guests had to get up and sit at another table. Sorry, that wasn't our concern. 🤷‍♂️ But the guests took it with humor. The food was ok and the staff friendly. There are certainly better restaurants in Limburg, but they made an effort.

Well, what should I write? I have rarely visited a restaurant that is so different. I order a table for 8 people. We get a table for 6 people in the narrowest spot. The back part of the restaurant was completely clear. I open the card: unfortunately card payment is currently not possible. Currently….printed out DINA4 and in a transparent sleeve. Apparently it hasn't been possible for a long time. 2024!!!!! Oven potatoes - why do you remove the peel from the potato? To make it dry? Burger with barbecue sauce - that was a creamy sauce from a tube. Nothing smoky. Fries - over salted to the maximum Tarte flambée - so dry that you couldn't cut it Steaks - were really good No, really sorry, that was nothing. But then I'm told that card payments are apparently no longer possible since the construction site in front of the restaurant... and then read a review here from 2021. Oops, it didn't work then either. If there's one thing I can stand, it's being made fun of.

We had dinner there yesterday. We had reserved and were 13 people. The atmosphere is really very nice, a great house in a first-class location in the middle of the old town. The food was also good, but the service and friendliness of the staff was unacceptable. We agreed that we had rarely been treated so rudely and unkindly. We promise we won't bother anyone there with our presence again.

We ate here last night, somewhat by chance, as many other restaurants were full. We were very positively surprised. The service was very good, although we found out at the end that one person was solely responsible for the entire restaurant. Very impressive!
