The best and biggest Chinese buffet in the area. A lot of food choices, fresh and tasty. Service and atmosphere are also good, a little bit noisy but acceptable.

I've been to many wok buffet restaurants, but this one truly excels in terms of size, selection, and service. The food was delicious, as I ordered what I liked. But what a selection! An incredible amount. All kinds of meat, fish, and even vegan. The service is super fast and very attentive, despite the large crowd. I find the atmosphere a bit lacking due to the size, but don't let that deter you.

We were there at lunchtime that week and both of us had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea in the evening.

We called at short notice on Saturday and reserved a table. We were treated kindly and courteously both on the phone and upon arrival. We opted for the buffet, which offered an incredible selection. The drinks we ordered arrived very quickly, allowing us to immediately enjoy the buffet, where a staff member was constantly on hand to ensure everything was in order. The selection ranged from salads and prepared dishes to all sorts of ingredients for frying and a wide variety of desserts. Everything we tried was delicious and attractively presented. Empty plates were cleared promptly, and we were always asked if everything was alright. The restaurant manager was very friendly and gave us a very warm send-off. In conclusion: It's a very large restaurant that can get a bit noisy when all the tables are occupied. Nevertheless, we will definitely return, as the price-performance ratio is excellent and all the food was delicious.

If you like the typical all-you-can-eat concept, this is the place for you. This restaurant is a bit better than others because they don't overfill the containers with the various dishes, but rather smaller ones, but they always serve fresh food. They regularly refill the containers so no one goes empty-handed. There is a parking lot on site, which isn't that big, but it's okay.

I've loved it here for a long time and I always enjoy coming back. Currently, my favorite is the lunch buffet with my friends. You can sit casually for a while and take your time with your meal. There's a buffet for a reasonable price of €13.80 (I hope it stays that way :-)) with a wide selection of starters, salads, fried foods, boiled meats, fish, vegetables, sauces, side dishes, soup, fruit, and desserts, plus ice cream and two chocolate fountains. The ambiance is glitzy and kitschy, but I like it. There are water basins with koi fish along the outer seating areas. The restrooms are clean. The service isn't always great. Sometimes she doesn't come, other times she clears your plate away from under your nose while you're finishing your last bite. :D Oh well, not so bad :D

I won't be visiting this restaurant again. So far, we've always been satisfied and enjoyed our meals there. The staff were always friendly – ​​especially on Friday night when I ordered through "Too Good To Go." One employee was exceptionally kind and accommodating. She even brought the food to my car when she noticed a child was sitting in it – that was truly exemplary. Tonight's experience, however, was the complete opposite: The woman, who is presumably the owner, was very rude and disrespectful. Even though I was the first one there, I didn't receive my food until the very end – and only because I asked for it myself. There was almost no response. The food I finally received was of terrible quality. It seemed as if leftovers had simply been carelessly dumped into my container. It was so inedible that I had to throw it away. I'm not concerned about the money, but rather about the disrespectful treatment of the guests.

Outside: self-storage facility. Inside: koi ponds, chandeliers, and one of the best buffets in Germany. I hate surprises. In travel, surprises usually mean delays, bad food, or discovering that your “boutique hotel” is just a rebranded youth hostel with Instagram filters. But this surprise was — finally — a welcome one. On a long drive home from Dortmund (a city that had already punished us enough with its culinary offerings), my wife and I were desperate for our first meal of the day — at 5 p.m., no less. We searched for Chinese cuisine, a mutual soft spot, and ended up at Chin-Thai in Limburg. First impression? Dismal. The building looked like a self-storage facility. The location, a commercial district with all the charm of Soviet suburbia in November — even though it was summer. Our expectations dropped straight through the floor. And then we stepped inside. Suddenly, a little Chinese fairy tale unfolded before us: silver chandeliers, classic carved furniture, indoor ponds with cheerful nishikigoi gliding around. It was as if the grim exterior had been built purely to amplify the surprise. The buffet was extensive. The raw bar — where you can choose fresh products to be grilled — offered everything from cuisses de grenouille to shark. Elsewhere, an array so broad and varied that leaving hungry would require a medical condition. Service was attentive and warm, without the robotic rush you often get at buffets. The tea selection was proper, the homemade iced tea was refreshing, and Coca-Cola was served in .33 glass bottles — proof that someone here still respects carbonation. So here is the lesson: do not judge the book by its cover. Chin-Thai may look like a warehouse from the outside, but inside it delivers one of the richest and most satisfying Chinese buffets I’ve come across in Germany. Clear recommendation. Sometimes the ugliest doors hide the best surprises.

As a family of four (2 adults + 2 children) we paid 106 euros including drinks (buffet). Then the waiter got rude and threw the change at us because he had understood a higher tip. Sorry, the price is so excessive - the children eat for a maximum of 5 euros. We paid 26.50 euros per person (lunch). Never again! Go to the Globus Chinese restaurant, there you get a menu that three people can eat from for 12 euros. This is really just a rip-off - if the children leave something on their plates they get upset - Hello? I paid for it! And if they leave a whole plate unfinished, the plate is paid for!

Very friendly service team, delicious food with a great, wide selection (a very pleasant choice for me as a vegetarian!), nice decor – I'm short, so the table was a bit too high for me, and the chair a bit too low, but that's a minor issue :) The koi in the water... well, I don't think that's necessary; without it, I would give them a full five stars! Beautiful and super intelligent animals. I was totally impressed, but these little darlings would definitely have more fun in a great and appropriate swimming pond.

We've been going there to eat at least once or twice a month for years. This time, we (two adults with two children) had to endure a lecture about how much food we had to eat and what the kids didn't like, we had to eat! What a disgrace! We'll never be back. With adults, it's understandable that they fill their plates and leave half of it, but with small children who want to try everything, you have to act a little more professionally and not give them a lesson in front of other guests at the next table who also noticed it. Although the children were charged a fair amount for the buffet! Sorry, but you won't make a cent more from us!

This was a visit 6 years ago: Food was good, constantly refilled, buffet was really large. 1 star deduction for the cafeteria atmosphere. Incredibly loud. But the staff was super good and efficient. Plenty of parking. Update from today, June 29, 2025 Staff unfriendly and very taciturn, food cold, cafeteria atmosphere unchanged. If you like very oily food, then this is exactly the right restaurant. Downgraded from 4 stars to 2 stars. What a shame.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is getting more and more expensive. The pricing structure is misleading and incomprehensible. They deliberately offered fewer food options, so you had to wait for some meat to be brought out. By the time it was there, it was quickly gone. We no longer felt comfortable. With drinks, the price came to around €40 per child and per adult. Absolutely outrageous and no longer worth a visit.

I visited the restaurant on several days with different groups. After the visit on July 30, 2023, several people in our group had health complaints such as stomach problems and, in one case, vomiting. One person received a refund after reporting back to the restaurant. Another point of criticism concerns how we deal with guests who don't want to or can't order a drink. During a visit in 2024, we were only informed when paying that not having a drink was apparently not desired. This is particularly disappointing for families with children (and not only), where the costs are already high. We find this practice unpleasant and customers unfriendly. That's why we will prefer other restaurants in the future. PS: our visit was in July 2023 and not 2024! This experience was in Limburger Restaurant! Dear owner, if you don't like the negative review, that doesn't mean it's not true! PS the review is based on several personal experiences at different points in time! One person in our group received the refund after their visit in summer 2023. The experience with drinks was in autumn 2024. Unfortunately, the new regulation was only announced when payment was made. My experience still remains experience, even at different times, with different groups!

I've eaten here many times on different days of the week and with different group sizes and have to say that so far I have almost nothing to complain about. Once we had to wait 30 minutes despite having a reservation, but that was one time, otherwise we always came straight to our table. Delicious food, the grill is also impressive. Empty things are quickly refilled. The ambience is also convincing. My personal highlight are the fish that swim around the sitting islands 🐠
