WAY too expensive for the food on offer!

We wanted to drink a wine in peace on a Monday in the restaurant that was open all day, according to the sign on the board. Unfortunately it was closed. Afterwards I discovered that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. the boards should be changed.

It's quite cheeky. Price and performance are not related at all. Unfortunately not recommended, a very clumsy tourist rip-off. More expensive and little.

The food was still okay, tasted quite good and looked nice. But nothing special either. What doesn't go well with this are the excessive prices. Unfortunately, these are far too high for the service provided! As a starter we had 1x tzatziki, 1x pita bread, 1x baked feta cheese, 1x feta in a pot. In the main course 2x Metaxa Gyros with fries, drinks 1x Radler and a bottle of mineral water. This actually cost €90.40! For 2 people! We found that to be extremely expensive! We're happy to spend a few euros more if it's justified. But here the price-performance ratio is not right at all! Our two friends only had a starter which they shared, two main courses (Metaxa Gyros + grill plate) and a special and had to pay €68! PS: There was no printed invoice because the cash register was defective. So we couldn't understand or check how this amount came about! It wasn't possible to pay by card that evening either, so one of us had to walk across town to the ATM to get cash. Information in advance would have been helpful. The service was nice, but also felt a bit overwhelmed and inattentive. Several guests had to wait forever until someone came so they could pay. The best thing about the evening was the beautiful outdoor terrace on a warm summer evening. Therefore 1 star. It's a shame, we were so happy... Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

If a restaurant's performance depends on the day's form, then I was there on a bad day! - friendly welcome! - great outdoor ambience - nice young ladies for ordering and drinks The outside area was full, there was still a small table for two people available, so I grabbed it! I noticed that none of the guests had any food on the table and they seemed hungry... Uh oh My drink came quickly and tasted excellent. My order was taken, I was full of anticipation! During this time I heard the first guest asking when his food would come... My second drink came quickly. I heard another group say that they will now leave because they are not getting any food.... Food that was brought was wrong and some guests took it out of desperation.... I'll cut short here: I was very tipsy after waiting 50 minutes, asked about my food, received kind words and a charming smile. I paid for my drinks after an hour and left without food because I didn't want to wait any longer! No, I'm not a "messed up" person, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work! I'm sorry, but according to reviews here from over a year ago, it must have been great, but in my opinion, I can't recommend it! What a shame! If only I had gone to Limburg earlier...

Nice terrace, unfortunately that was all. The service is a disaster, listless, slow and incompetent. The table next door didn't get any food and left... All guests dissatisfied, waiting times over 1.5 hours. Food and drinks totally overpriced, of inferior quality and mini portions. Never again, we can only warn against a visit.

The service was completely overwhelmed and didn't know what to do (empty glasses at all tables and dirty dishes that had been there for at least 30 minutes). After a next table with 5 people didn't get any (!) food after 1.5 hours and left, we got our small - completely overpriced - dishes. The drinks are also overpriced. Water only in a liter bottle for 7.50 euros!! Other side dishes were served at the next tables without informing the guests that there were no longer any fries. Then other guests left without eating. We have NEVER experienced anything like this and will not come back.

Without words ! We arrived and there were only 2 tables occupied. There were 4 of us with one child. We sat there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. We wanted to order something to drink but the waitresses didn't come to our table. After 1.5 hours we asked how long the meal would take. After that, no one came for 20 minutes. We went to inquire and were then told that our dishes were no longer available. After 1.5 hours the kitchen noticed that our dishes were no longer available today - what a shame! Unfortunately I have to give one star

COLD FOOD, POOR QUALITY, RUDE SERVICE! The only vegan dish was not on the menu, but was available online. Well, I was offered an alternative, some cheap meat substitute. The food arrived ice cold on my plate, which was then brought back to me warmed up from the microwave. I haven't eaten such poorly grilled vegetables in a long time. Of course there was no apology from the waitress for the cold food. A supposedly vegan sauce was offered with the vegan dish. When I asked what was in the sauce, as I suffer from a milk allergy, the only answer I got was that it was yoghurt with cucumber, then I shouldn't eat it. In the end I asked for a bill because the price was a bit too much for me seemed too high and here too there were problems because the invoice could not be printed. When I asked how much the vegan dish cost, it immediately became the most expensive dish on the menu because there was no way to prove it. NEVER AGAIN!

A nice little Greek restaurant with Turkish or oriental elements 🇬🇷🇹🇷 in the historic city center of Limburg, in the house in which Johannes Bückler (the wanted robber captain “Schinderhannes”) was held captive as a soldier supposedly to be recruited at the beginning of the 19th century Before he was taken to Mainz under heavy guard, where he was finally executed. The location in the old town, amidst half-timbered houses and city trees, gives the restaurant a touch of the ambience of bygone times. You can sit in the house or on the sun terrace. The prices are in the upper range. The service is very friendly and accommodating. When my wife and I had clearly budgeted too little money, the innkeeper quickly doubled the portion of the grilled plate that we actually wanted to share as a meal, at his own expense. At the time, the food selection was still fairly limited due to the recent reopening. Gladly again for special occasions. We can recommend this restaurant.

We were only here for a few drinks, but the service and ambience are very promising. We felt very comfortable. A small oasis in the middle of Limburg.

Much ado about nothing!! We were there last year for my wife's birthday and what can I say☹️ by far the worst Limburg has to offer. The drinks are warm, the food is mostly ready-made and sometimes fried, and all of this at high prices. The drinks supply was an absolute disaster. The only Greek thing about this restaurant is the menu background images. The criticism was noted, but nothing more! Once and never again.

We wanted to try out the restaurant and reserved a table online. We had to rebook this twice when requested by the online portal because the time was canceled each time. We didn't try again a third time and booked another restaurant. A pity !

Der Besuch heute ist mir meine erste Rezension wert ! Sind auf Empfehlung da gewesen. Reservierung hat trotz Bestätigung nicht geklappt. 30 Tische und 3 Sonnenschirme bei dem Wetter ein Witz. Besteck und Untersetzer mussten getauscht werden, da schmutzig. Getränke mussten leider auch getauscht werden, da die Gläser schmutzig waren (hoffentlich nur Tomatensoße). Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (knapp € 200,00 für vier Personen) passt bei der Qualität der Mahlzeiten nicht, die Hälfte blieb liegen, was bei uns so gut wie nie vorkommt. War wohl nicht nur bei uns so, da mehrere Besucher das Lokal zügig wieder verlassen haben. Die anderen Griechen in der Umgebung sind deutlich besser. Lieber an die Autobahnraststätte fahren !

Unfortunately, there is absolutely no price-performance ratio here. The ambience outside is really nice, inside everything is dirty, there are crumbs on the floor everywhere, the toilets are not maintained. We ate a burger for 19 euros per couple!! The price is an absolute disgrace for a simple burger with reheated fries - the burger is supposed to be filled with feta cheese - no signs found! The lettuce has certainly seen fresher days, there were no onions, but there were a few tomatoes as they make the burger appear larger. When we asked why we had quark on the burger, we were told that it was tzatziki and that it was on the menu - no, it wasn't and it was just pure quark. We would have preferred to go to Mc'D or BK. Of course, before paying, we complained about how bad the FOOD was and were asked to leave our experience and opinion as a review so that the CHEF could read it and change something if necessary. I'm annoyed that we had to pay the full price, the burger wasn't worth 10 euros, neither the taste nor the ambience justify such a price. I feel cheated and I won't go to the "Greek" again in the future and I'll advise everyone not to! Here I'm trying to have my honest review deleted by Google instead of dealing with the points in my review.

Although described as open online, it was closed. The path is free. If there is no current homepage, then it is better not to have one.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with the previous speaker, Mari Posa. The map in the showcase attracted us. Unfortunately, in contrast to the menu outside, there were only 4 main courses on the menu in the restaurant. Fries & gyros were out at 8 p.m. The food came to the table lukewarm, the waitress didn't know what it was. Unfortunately, the presentation of the food wasn't very nice either (the main plate only had meat, plus there was a smaller plate with 4 rosemary potatoes). The price of food and drinks is too expensive. We are not in Frankfurt... Unfortunately, we looked several times for waiters to order more drinks - despite making eye contact, no one came. Unfortunately the operation was only on the cell phone. Unfortunately we won't be coming back either.

Keine Ahnung. Trotz Reservierung Anfang November, standen wir am Abend des 4. Dezember vor verschlossenen Türen, Keine Absage obwohl die Handynummer vorlag. Laut Aussage von Anwohnern wohl nicht das erste Mal. Ganz bestimmt mein erster und letzter Versuch.

Very nice place nice friendly service and good food

Ich liebe die Griechische Küche schon immer. Heute war es leider nicht der Fall. Schönes Gebäude ja, aber alles andere war einfach sehr anderst. Einfache Getränke von der Karte einfach leer! War nicht wirklich viel los, und nur Vorspeisen bestellt und bestimmt 30 min gewartet bis es kam. Dann war es einfach nicht gut. Echt schade, kann es wirklich nicht weiter empfehlen. Schade!

Das Werner Senger Haus ist schon eine besondere Location die sich leider nicht im Essen wiedergespiegelt hat. Für die aufgerufenen Preise kann man schon etwas erwarten. Pita Brot und ein Gericht war Samstags Abends um 19.00 Uhr nicht mehr zu bestellen. Lauwarmes Gemüse als Beilagen , Obst im Nachtisch wurde vergessen und dann noch tiefgefroren nachgeliefert. Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich. Insgesamt enttäuschend. Schade

Der Grieche ist der Knaller! Man kann vor dem Restaurant draußen sitzen oder aber auf der Dachterasse! Diese ist wunderschön 🤩! Das Essen ist besonders … sehr edel toll angerichtet und super lecker! Francesco war top! Der ouzo darf natürlich nicht fehlen. Es war kulinarisch ein Highlight aber auch vom Ambiente! Der Abend war unvergesslich sowie die Stimmung! Absolut empfehlenswert 🥰

Das Lokal ist schon gelegen, und die „Griechischer Wein“ Atmosphäre ist sofort da. Es war sehr voll, was aber ebenso zur guten Atmosphäre beigetragen hat. Das Personal war nett, das Essen gut, soweit alles top. Leider war das Personal mit der Menge an Gästen überfordert. Man hat uns schon bei betreten eher ignoriert. Der zugewiesene Tisch war nicht sauber, und leider mussten wir die Mitarbeiter zu oft von uns aus ansprechen, sonst wären wir verhungert, verdurstet, oder eben ohne Besteck sitzen geblieben. Ich hoffe das Team spielt sich noch ein, dann macht das Ganze mehr Spaß, und der Hohe Preis ist dann auch gerechtfertigt.

Das Essen ist superlecker 😋, Gute Speisekarte, tolles Ambiente mit sehr schöner Terrasse 👍. Und ein sehr freundliches aufmerksames Personal 👍. Komme sehr gerne wieder 😋👍

Der beste Grieche, den Limburg aktuell zu bieten hat. Das Essen und die Terasse im Sommer sind sehr authentisch. Auch das gesamte Personal ist super lieb :)

Ambiente ist super. Das Essen war lecker. Das Einzige was negative war, dass die Tische sehr eng zueinander stehen und wenn der Tisch direkt neben an bezahlt kriegst du den Hintern vom Kellner direkt ins Gesicht. Wir haben keine detaillierte Rechnung erhalten.

Essen war sehr gut, Ambiente: mediterrane Atmosphäre; Bedienung war abends zwar sehr motiviert und freundlich aber wohl schon etwas übermüdet ;-)

Sehr schickes ruhiges Lokal in der Limburger Altstadt. Etwas versteckt aber das macht es aus man bekommt den Trubel der Passanten in der Altstadt nicht mit. Essen super , Personal zuvorkommend , höflich und freundlich.

Wunderschöne Sonnenterasse, bequeme gemütliche Stühle, super nettes Personal, das Essen war richtig lecker☺️ Fleisch saftig, Ofengemüse knackig gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Empfehlenswert ❤️

Vielen Dank für das kulinarische Erlebnis im "Der Grieche Limburg"! Ich war schon in dem in Koblenz und war sehr zufrieden, weshalb ich hier nach Limburg kam. Das Essen (vorallem das Gyros) war absolut super. Die vielfältige Auswahl an griechischen Spezialitäten hat mich beeindruckt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist jedoch das exzellente Personal, das den Besuch zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat. Bedient wurden wir von einem Herrn mit Bart und einer Dame mit Brille. Deren Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit haben unseren Abend perfekt abgerundet denn unsere Getränke waren nie lange leer. Meine einzigen Mängel sind, dass das Essen gut auf sich hat warten lassen und die andere junge Dame, die uns (und andere) nicht beachtete, im Gesicht geschrieben stand, dass sie keine Lust hat hier zu sein, schade Potenzial wäre bestimmt da. Ich werde dennoch definitiv wiederkommen und kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Das Ambiente auf der Terrasse sowie auch im Inneren ist wirklich überragend! Unser Essen war durchweg sehr gut! Einzig die "Damen" vom Service sind sehr träge; dies holt jedoch der Chef ganz locker wieder raus! Es war ein sehr gelungener Abend und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Die Atmosphäre ist ganz nett. Das Essen war okay, nur etwas teuer und das Dessert war nicht komplett wie beschrieben. Leider war der Service nicht so ideal. Es wurde nicht regelmäßig nach uns geschaut, ob alles okay ist, wir noch was trinken wollen etc. und wir mussten dann lange auf unseren Nachtisch/Getränke warten. Dadurch leider ein einmaliger Besuch.

Für uns eins der besten griechischen Restaurants, von dem wir sehr positiv überrascht waren. Gestern Abend waren wir spontan dort und hatten erst kurz vorher reserviert, obwohl viel los war bekamen wir noch einen Tisch. Als erstes fiel uns das schöne Ambiente auf und mit der griechischen Musik fühlte man sich bisschen wie im Urlaub. Unser zweijähriger Sohn war während der Vorspeise auf meinem Schoß eingeschlafen. Direkt wurde uns angeboten ihn drinnen auf eine Couch zu legen und draußen ein Tisch angeboten, von dem aus wir ihn gut sehen und so trotzdem entspannt essen konnten. Obwohl viel los war mussten wir nicht zu lange auf das Essen warten und zwischendurch wurde nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Getränke und vor allem das Essen war hervorragend. Habe bisher kein besseres Bifteki gegessen. Kurz nachdem wir bezahlt hatten wachte unser Sohn auf. Um ihn aufzuheitern wurde uns für ihn unaufgefordert direkt eine Portion warme Pommes gebracht. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und obwohl sie allerhand zutun hatten, waren sie sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Danke für den schönen Abend. Wir werden auf jeden Fall bald wieder kommen und euch weiterempfehlen!

Als Liebhaber der griechischen Küche kehrten wir spontan ein. Uns gefiel die Location sehr gut und die Karte klang vielversprechend. Leider waren wir nicht überzeugt. Mein Mann sein Gyros war kalt und meine Moussaka überwürzt. Das Servicepersonal war nett, aber das Restaurant ist für mich einfach überteuert. Klingt vielversprechend, aber mehr Schein als Sein.

Sensationell! Sau leckeres Essen, tolle Location direkt im Herzen von Limburg und top Personal. Wir waren nicht das letzte mal dort.

Das Ambiente im Aussenbereich ist sehr schön 🥰 was noch fehlt sind große Schirme damit man nicht gleich rein muss ,wenn es etwas regnet. Muss man rein sieht die Sache ganz anders aus. Das Essen hat allen gut geschmeckt (4 Pers). Allerdings haben wir 1 Stunde 25 Min auf unser Essen gewartet was schon lange war. Preise: gehobene Klasse. Die Mädels im Service sind sehr nett und flott.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit ansprechendem Ambiente. Das Essen ist eher hochpreisig. Der service ist bemüht aber überfordert, alles recht unkoordiniert.Das Essen war optisch mässig angerichtet und es wurden die Beilagen vergessen.Leider war das Essen kalt. Alles in allem ein schöner Laden, bei dem man mal was trinken gehen kann. Essen würde wir da wohl nichts mehr.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Team arbeitet auf Hochtouren, stets freundlich und immer mit dem Blick ob der Gast etwas braucht. Auch bei voll ausgebuchtem Haus. Essen kam schnell, Gläser nie leer und Service immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Was möchte man mehr? Ich war zum ersten Mal dort, aber nicht zum letzten Mal. Natürlich wieder mit Reservierung!
