Edelbeißer in Göttingen

Our teriyaki wrap contained a small piece of chicken, one tiny lettuce leaf, half a tomato, and nothing but dry rice. It was the worst wrap I've ever eaten. For €7+, it's simply awful. Never again!

We've been there quite often, both in summer and winter. In the summer, the outdoor seating is nice. But it's gone downhill significantly. If you order a Spezi (a popular German soft drink), you get a Coke mixed with Sprite, and the Fanta tastes like water. That shouldn't happen. As a customer, it feels like the staff don't want to work. About two months ago, we ordered food within Göttingen, waited an hour, and the food arrived cold. Which is a real shame. On top of that, the gyro meat was very gristly. It's truly a shame that it's deteriorated so much.

Permanently closed, already for several months.

It's certainly not for a quick meal between trains, but this restaurant is perfect for a pleasant lunch! Classic and slightly exotic dishes are nicely presented and served hot. If there's space, it's also fine for sitting down.

We were here with colleagues for a small Christmas party. I had the Greek salad as a starter (almost too much for a starter), which was good but not quite the typical Greek salad I'm used to. Sometimes less is more. For my main course, I had the schnitzel with cheese sauce... The sauce was delicious but also quite rich. The schnitzel was very tender and well-seasoned. I enjoyed it, and the portion was generous. My colleagues all enjoyed their meals as well. It was a lovely evening. 👍
