Ecco Feinkost List in Hannover

Unfortunately, very disappointing. The staff seems disorganized, inattentive, and clearly overwhelmed. Orders take unnecessarily long, and simple questions go unanswered. Service quality has deteriorated since last year. I was there last week and again today, and both times it was a disaster. Two servers in particular (one blonde, one brunette) stood out for ignoring guests instead of providing service. Friendliness and attentiveness don't seem to be part of the curriculum. Their appearance also speaks volumes—unkempt and lacking in authority. This is not a restaurant we will visit again. Basic staff training is urgently needed if they want to retain customers. The food was okay, but I still can't understand why this restaurant has so many good reviews with such poor service.

Ecco is a place I always love to return to. The welcome is warm and friendly, the food is authentically Italian, and they serve my favorite Prosecco. The whole team makes you feel welcome, not just in summer. Thank you, Jenny, for your warm hospitality.

The prices are absolutely exorbitant and unjustified. I have no idea why so many people spend their money there. It does look rather upper-class, though.

Today I was sitting by the window on the first floor with a friend. The table had a sign saying "reserved from 1:15 pm" (for two people). Since it was already 2:00 pm, I moved the sign to the next table. We were served, and they asked if we needed anything else. At 3:00 pm, the server came back and told us to vacate our seats because our table and the neighboring ones were reserved for ten people until 3:00 pm, and we could sit in a corner at the back. We weren't even asked politely! It was practically an insult. We left the restaurant in protest and went to Lohngrin.

We stumbled upon this place a few days ago and immediately felt very welcome. A very tasty, albeit small, selection of sweets. But the savory treats also looked very appetizing. We'd love to come back here for an espresso... or a glass of wine... or...!

An absolute hidden gem! This little Italian shop instantly exudes a true dolce vita feeling. The food is fresh, authentic, and prepared with so much love – you can simply taste the passion that goes into it. The service is warm and attentive; you feel like you're visiting friends. Well, if you were expecting authentic Italian specialties, you're in for a big disappointment. Even the well-known classics like Pecorino, Gorgonzola, Parmigiano, good DOCP olive oils, or renowned wines are nowhere to be found, not to mention the hidden gems from direct imports that are so characteristic of Italian delicatessens. The drinks selection is limited. The only beer is from Bremen, soft drinks are few and far between, and the wines are generic, mass-produced items that aren't even shown to you when you order a glass. The antipasti platter resembles a Carinthian mixed salad with lots of bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and other mediocre canned goods. The largely flavorless imitation cheese shows signs of herbs and olives – thankfully, they're also tasteless. The salami is supermarket quality, and the abysmal prosciutto crudo wasn't even rind-removed before being sliced ​​into thick rounds. It's a good thing they didn't smother the whole thing in expensive olive oil, so they could reuse the liquid from the cans. Bread is also available, in the form of stale, mass-produced baguette slices. The pasta dishes on offer vary. However, they all have one thing in common: they're swimming in an unbelievable amount of a dreadful, mass-produced Metro cream sauce. The industrially produced porcini ravioli are filled with a suspiciously bland mass that contains everything but, judging by the taste, no porcini mushrooms. The waitress brings all this to the table even though it's still piled high with dirty dishes. I think it takes a lot of effort to deliver such a shoddy performance at such hefty prices. Surely, all it takes to make people happy is slicing up some genuinely good, handcrafted products. Ecco – the world doesn't need this.

Casual bistro with a pleasant atmosphere! A variety of antipasti, tramezzini, and pasta dishes to choose from. We had the large antipasti plate and some items from the pasta menu and were very satisfied. Reasonably priced.

Five stars aren't really enough! We were greeted with a smile from the very beginning – and this positive impression only continued throughout the evening. Our waitress was simply outstanding: always attentive, never intrusive, always in the right place at the right time. It felt like she had a sixth sense for when you needed something – even before you knew it! A particularly great touch: At the end of the evening, we were treated to a liqueur on the house, lovingly served with a few personal words – a small but unforgettable moment that perfectly rounded off the experience. Such service is rare these days – warm, professional, and simply genuine. A huge thank you for this wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back – thanks to her, too!

A place on the Lister Meile that you can't pass by. It is always well attended, especially on the Thursday “Farmer’s Market”. Table reservation may be necessary. The service team is very friendly and considerate, especially the boss herself.
