Eat Happy in Schönebeck (Elbe)

Great food, great service except for the slightly longer waiting time, about 60 minutes, until the main course (group of 10 people). But the food just tore it all out again.

The positive: friendly welcome, white tablecloths with molleton underneath, nice small talk, good solyanka. The negative: Regensteiner water with 0.7l content and a price of 29 cents, which was not even on the menu, beat all previous "cheap water" records with 7.50 euros on the bill, the landlady immediately switched to "Du", No questions were asked during the meal as to whether everything was OK (we were the only two guests), the roast beef (rump steak) was unfortunately very gristly, the landlady walked past our table three times without clearing the empty plates, and the nice guy was allowed to do that Take over as chef. Unfortunately, he didn't ask why there were so many leftover meat on the plate. Unfortunately very disappointing.

On December 11th, 2023 I went to the salt boiler for a buffet with my family. The table was reserved and everything went well so far. Well, the food wasn't that great, other restaurants can do better. The service was okay, and what I liked best was Mr. Finke with his Christmas music. But now the embarrassment came: when I wanted to pay, of course with a card, I was told that that wasn't possible. There had to be I borrowed money from family to pay the bill. Well, that's not possible, they won't see me again, but that's how you lose your customers. The saying applies here: less can also be more!

Food was really good, there was even a small greeting from the house. Unfortunately it was a pub/snack bar atmosphere, it smelled of cold smoke and it was very cold in the dining room. But the couple who ran it were very nice.

The food is always super delicious. The meat is tender and very tasty. There are changing daily specials, such as roast game, game schnitzel or trout. The rhubarb wine spritzer is particularly delicious. The landlord and the staff are very friendly. The price is below average. We really enjoy coming here.
