We were a large group, came without a reservation and still got our food very quickly. The food was a 12/10, excellent service and the super nice and cozy atmosphere.

A luxurious restaurant with all its details. The atmosphere is oriental, and they serve meals from several Syrian, Lebanese and Iraqi cuisines

The food was really very tasty. Service is also great. Unfortunately the music is way too loud. The interior design could be improved. That's why the restaurant seems rather cheap and the focus is only on the biggest sales. A big minus because they still sell Coca Cola and Co there.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the good reviews at all. The food was a disaster. The schnitzel was extremely greasy, the fries were dripping with oil - both were inedible. I had to leave the food because it was simply not edible. If that's the standard, I really wonder where all the positive comments are coming from. For me it was an absolute failure and I definitely won't be coming back. I also had to wait about 35 minutes for the food!

The wait for the food is completely reasonable. The food itself is tastefully prepared and generously portioned. Every one of our meals was delicious. However, it is very loud when it is full.

The atmosphere here makes you feel like you are in Istanbul. The furniture and other furnishings fit the overall picture in a stylish manner. Excellent, friendly and courteous service. The dishes were highly recommended and very good in terms of quality and taste. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the cold coming in through the sliding door. 5 years ago: The best chicken soup ever! The price-performance ratio was right and the grill plate for one person (€17) was completely fine. The service was always courteous and tried to do justice to the guests. 2024: Today I avoid Dunya. Chicken soup is no longer on the menu and the prices are now excessive. I would be quite willing to pay more, but the portions were greatly reduced and the side dishes were omitted. Of course you have to deal with inflation, but in this case it seems like an attempt to save money at the expense of quality - that's disappointing and outrageous.

Donia Restaurant's level is lower than last year. We were six people and ordered six meals, and the order did not arrive with the second. The waiter came to us and said it was not possible to pay by card (we were a large group), but at other tables payment with the cat was accepted. Then we paid by card and the waiter had no coins and gave himself the tip. The food can be as good as it gets, it doesn't feel nice when you're treated like that.

Wonderful Arabic food in the center of Mannheim city. The meat was tender and well cooked and the preparations are flavourful. The portions of the servings are large and more than enough for a single person. The ambience is good and the service was relatively quick, considering how busy the restaurant gets. Definitely recommended!

In fact, because the chef of the food is a professor, it is necessary for restaurants in Germany to take lessons. The enemy of food is fabulous in taste, appearance and cleanliness. Also, the entire staff was respectful and truly wonderful. The rest of the details, such as cleaning the toilet, and the music and songs, were all wonderful and psychologically relaxing. Unfortunately, this restaurant has disappointed us for the second and last time, the service is poor, the waiters are unfriendly and overwhelmed! Now to eat, if you can call it that. Unfortunately, bad meat is still offered at overpriced prices. To be honest, I don't know why many people like to eat there so much. To be honest, if you have any idea of ​​good Arabic food, you won't go there!!!!! The meat (veal shawarma) was full of disgusting fat so we left the whole plate standing, the falafel tasted like ready-made falafel so definitely not homemade, the hummus tasted like a sesame paste that had nothing to do with hummus and the fries weren't cooked through and much too light, the bread was a disaster and on top of that the food was simply cold, we were sitting upstairs, maybe the walk was too far, I don't know. Unfortunately we weren't asked whether we liked the food or not, even though you could see it on the plates, but that's what people are used to clearing away full plates!!! Then the payment, unfortunately we weren't informed that you can NOT pay with an EC card and that on a public holiday (cash is probably better with so many guests) luckily we had some money and others had to go to the ATM opposite not high at that Pay fees for the withdrawal. We will definitely not eat there again and unfortunately I cannot recommend it to anyone who appreciates and knows good Arabic food will not be happy there

One of my favourite restaurants in the whole of Germany! The service is excellent too and the place is suitable for big groups. I have no photos because when the food arrives at my table, I don't feel like wasting another infinitesimal amount of time getting busy with anything other than practising one of the essential human rights out there, enjoying a piece of succulent lamb Quzi.

For us a culinary highlight in Mannheim. We always enjoy coming here. Service and food are excellent every time.

The shawarma at this restaurant has deteriorated greatly over the years. The meat today was dry and seemed like it wasn't fresh. I saw that the skewer of meat had been re-hung, giving the impression that it had been reheated. The taste of the meat was disappointing - dry, and there was little garlic sauce. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not justified for 16 euros. The restaurant used to be really good, but now I think it's no longer worth eating there and spending so much money. The faucet in the men's room didn't work and you couldn't wash your hands. But the staff was super friendly and really deserves a 5 star rating.

I don't usually give reviews to restaurants, but honestly, it's well deserved Since the first time it came to Germany, Arab ice cream has never been anywhere near it and I liked theirs. Orders are prepared as quickly as possible, the food is very good, and the place is comfortable I got a mandi and a shawarma sandwich as in the pictures.. Instead of the sauce, I asked for a yoghurt salad with cucumber, and they were very tasty. The best thing is that it is in a prayer room, and this is something I missed in most Arab restaurants. An experience worth recommending and repeating if God wants me to come to Mannheim again 😀

I was supposed to order an Iraqi kebab but the taste had nothing to do with it, it was pure fat backed by bitter onions and burnt tomatoes. The bread was very cold and you have no right to change the rice unless you ask for extra. The smell of onions is strangely musty. I didn't expect that I would eat so badly.

The food here is really good with huge portions that will leave you satisfied. Service is fast and professional, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Although the prices are a bit higher than average. The seating is comfortable, and I appreciate that the kitchen is well-isolated, so you don’t leave with food smells on your clothes, unlike many other Turkish, Asian, and Syrian restaurants in Mannheim . The air conditioning makes it a comfortable spot year-round, whether in the heat of summer or the chill of winter. Highly recommended!

I was there on Saturday and unfortunately I have to share a very disappointing experience. When I visited the restaurant I was looking forward to a pleasant meal, but the opposite was the case. My parsley salad at Dunya Kebab Plate came with an unappetizing extra: a cigarette butt. This is not only unhygienic, but also completely unacceptable. The service wasn't any better either. After I reported the problem, the staff seemed unconcerned and did not offer an adequate solution. I expect a clean and safe meal every time I go to a restaurant, which was definitely not the case here. I certainly won't be back and strongly advise against visiting this restaurant until they improve their hygiene and customer service.
