Totally overrated! Unfriendly staff, the duck was only lukewarm and probably left over from lunch, and also very dry. The brown sauce even had skin on top from standing too long. This was also just put in the microwave and the peppers and mushrooms in it were cold! The spring roll with poultry was also dry and was only reheated. For the money I expect freshly prepared food and not warmed up food from the day before or from lunch! The Asia Hung in the train station is better than this highly praised restaurant.

All the food we ordered as a family was frozen. Without exception, every dish had that thawed taste. And THE PRICES??! That was so little food and frozen food for over €200. If you want real Asian food, please go anywhere but here.

Very good quality and taste, authentic. Beijing duck, dumplings and sesame / red bean paste buns - all very good and just like in China, where I lived a few years.

The food was really very good, but everything was processed a bit like in an accord, although it takes a long time for someone to come and take the order and for drinks to arrive. I had dinner there with several friends. They had reserved weeks in advance. This was sorely needed as the restaurant was packed. I was even more excited about the food… I ordered the 825 “Wo-Dip” fried dumplings with pork and Chinese leek as a starter. As the main course No. 45, fried noodles with bean sprouts, eggs and chicken. Plus an Alster water (beer mixed with Sprite). The dumplings were very tasty. But for an incredible 9.50 euros, I found the amount to be an outrage. Unfortunately, the fried noodles “tasted” more like seasoning (glutamate?) and were very average. Especially for the price of 17 euros. The Alster water for 5.50 euros at least tasted quite tasty. The female waiter was neutral. No smile, no thank you. Like a robot. The young man who brought food every now and then was very friendly. Some of my friends had the Peking duck. This probably tasted better than my food. At least they were happy so far. Although they also said that the price-performance ratio wasn't right. So in the end I paid 32 euros! Price increases or not - that's more than sporty! In my opinion, the restaurant is significantly overrated and simply thrives on “notoriety”. But everyone has to make their own experience. At least we won't come back again.

The visit to the Dim Sum House was a great experience and gave us a lot of fun. The reservation via Google worked perfectly. Thanks to our early arrival, at lunchtime, the number of guests was manageable and we were given a seat at the window with a rotating table. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very friendly service and extremely good food. We had fried pork ribs with salt and pepper, the same again with tofu and fried pointed cabbage and rice and have never eaten Chinese of this quality before. Really wonderful.

We tried various DIM SUMs, unfortunately not all of them tasted good to us. This may be because we don't know traditional Chinese cuisine and therefore compare it more with the typical "German" Chinese restaurant. Next time we will try the Peking duck.

We have been really disappointed with our experience here. After all the hype the expectations where not met. We ordered the hand pulled noodles that were supposed to be spicy & what we got were totally overcooked noodles that were swimming in pepper sauce totally mushy and not spicy at all. The octopus that belonged to it was chewy and did not take like anything. The other dish we took was some spicy tofu with Chinese mushrooms and iberico. What we got was some mushy tofu with chicken and champignons. We asked regarding that and the waiter that the cook never did the dish before so he did not know what he should add in it. We got a new tofu dish, this time with iberico but still no Chinese mushrooms, still mushy and not spicy. The cucumber salad did not taskte like anything, it was basically just cucumbers with soya souce. Totally overhyped, not authentic Chinese and the whole experience costs us also 70 euro 🙁

Completely successful from start to finish. I've been looking forward to my visit to Hamburg for weeks because of the reservation at the Dim Sum House. We chose the menu for two people. The highlight was of course the Peking duck in the main course. I would love to come back.

Always wanted to go. I've read a lot of good things about it and also some not so good things. But you should always make up your own mind. We weren't disappointed. The service was really accommodating. The restaurant was very busy and the food was really good. The Peking duck stood out. I've also had them for noticeably more money and eaten less well. Anyone looking for a chic ambience may be disappointed. We personally liked it very much and I would come back at any time. Given its reputation, it may be a disappointment for some, but I think it does what it promises. To be fair and this is not intended to detract from the quality of the food, the ambience and the service, there are now similar restaurants in other cities in Germany. Certainly not a dime a dozen. They exist, but you have to look for them. If you're looking for the "Euro Chinese" with a buffet, you've definitely come to the wrong place. The Dim Sum House offers authentic cuisine. We cannot understand the many positive reviews. The day before yesterday we were served very unfriendly and hectically. There is no question of serving, the food was rather "slammed" onto the table. No question, no friendliness, yes, you weren't even really looked at by the waitress. The duck was dry and lukewarm and tasted warmed up. If the non-preheated plates (!) are placed over even a measly tea light, it is unlikely that any “heat” can develop. Big hip on the web! Celebrities eat here! Actually? The only thing we noticed was the worn, old carpet right at the entrance by the stairs. Very unkempt! It was our first and last visit there.

We were there with 5 people on a Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and had a round table with a rotating inner plate by the window. Due to the huge selection of dishes, you should find out beforehand online what you might want to eat. The female service person from Ukraine was super friendly and also helped with the selection. The food wasn't bad, but in my opinion it was very expensive. This becomes even clearer when it comes to drinks! Charging €8 for a 0.7l bottle of water made my jaw drop. Table reservation is advisable! There are probably better Chinese restaurants with adjusted prices; here you also pay for the “exclusivity” and the ambience. The total cost for 5 people was €236 and no, we didn't have Peking duck.

Way too expensive!!! Broccoli for €18 is outrageous! One has the feeling that inflation is being exploited here. Also very hectic there. You will be informed right at the entrance that you only have 2 hours. Relaxed eating is something different. A pity!

I was really in shock. We had reserved for three eprson and had to wait an hour. There was a huge queue in front of us. We thought okay, maybe it's a very hyped place - but apparently everyone had reservations and everyone had to wait because there was an error in their reservation system. It can happen, but we were still slightly annoyed. When we were finally spoken to, the waiter didn't believe me that I had reserved a table on the phone. After a long discussion that I should prove this to him, he unintentionally gave us a table - when I showed him my call list and where he saw that I had been on the phone with someone for 43 seconds. After waiting for an hour we got a table by the window. It was so tough that I had to sit at the dining table with my winter jacket on. The food was bad, half was forgotten and had to be reordered. The duck was dry and not tasty - I'd rather go to Yu Garden (they also have dim sum). The waiter came at the end and started arguing with us again that we didn't have a reservation and should have thanked us for even getting a table and started laughing at us. Are you crazy? The waiter should be thrown out!

We were very impressed with the “Peking Duck” menu and can only recommend it. The service seemed stressed, which is probably impossible or difficult to change given the many guests. I was annoyed about the open wine: €9 for 0.2 liters of Chardonnay: it was the most expensive and worst wine I have drunk in the last 20 years. Conclusion: knowing the deficits, I will definitely come back to your restaurant.

We had dinner at DimSumHaus on Sunday with our little daughter and we really enjoyed it. The service was extremely courteous (both the female and male service staff). Regularly asking if everything is OK etc. without being intrusive. After living in China for two years, the anticipation for these well-known flavors was huge. The food came quickly and was delicious and authentic across the board. We went home feeling plump and happy. Thank you for that!

We were greeted very friendly and shown to the square. The decor is very attractively traditional. The dim suns for 4 people came to the table very staggered, which I thought was a shame. Basically they were tasty and the quality of the ingredients was also good. My dim sun was served with mayonnaise according to the menu. The cook really just slapped a blob of mayonnaise out of the tube. A little chili or soy sauce in the mayo would have made it a little more appealing. The main courses were disappointing for us. If you order duck Canton style, you have to be aware that it is chopped into small pieces with bones and that you will always have bone splinters in your mouth (this is not uncommon in China and does not count for my final rating). The Iberico pork tasted delicious, but the fact that the vaunted siu lap grill art in Germany is called a deep fryer surprised me. Because for me the meat was fried and not grilled (that's my layman's opinion). Vegetables were searched in vain in all dishes. But there was a loving decoration made of dried parsley and carved carrots. The ice cream for dessert reminded me more of the flat rate Asian snack in terms of appearance and taste. 3 balls carelessly in the bowl with a waffle cigar and the taste is unexciting to artificial. The bottom line is that I personally didn't think the restaurant was ideal for this attempt, but we didn't have the famous Peking duck either. But the standards also had room for improvement, especially since I found the quality of the ingredients to be very good. Just not what the chef made of it. I would have liked to have addressed this on the spot, but after dessert the service somehow stopped and my colleague had to go to the front to pay.

Dispatch is the correct vocabulary. I understand that you have to run a catering business effectively, but that... The food was not served but slammed onto the table. Only suitable to a limited extent for "normal" Chinese fooders. The food is almost cold, even if it tastes good (hotter would definitely be better), starters and main courses come completely mixed up and sometimes at the same time, atmosphere a bit hectic and cramped. I had heard about the restaurant near the Löwenhöhle and really wanted to try it out. And really, the food is really delicious...even if it's not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, the lunch service was very dismissive, curt and rather annoyed - that unfortunately significantly dampened my stay and ultimately my culinary experience. The ambience is very nice...but you have the feeling of mass processing and that the conditions are very stressful. As I said, food (Dim Sun and noodle dish) were very tasty.

I was there for the dim sum and I have to say it was pretty disappointing. It didn't taste bad, but for the price and the reputation and the whole fancy spectacle, it was much ado about nothing. In the end it was 24 euros for 4x dim sum (baozi and jiaozi), which doesn't fill you up, so you need a few more. I've eaten something similar in much cheaper restaurants. I absolutely can't recommend it unless you have too much money.

The service was great and the food (Mapo Tofu & Wild Broccoli) was good. However, the wild broccoli cost €18, which I found really cheeky. It was just a small portion of wild broccoli fried with ginger in a light sauce - very crunchy and tasty, but way too expensive. You could sell this as a side dish for €9, that would be fair. The same applies to wine. The Dim Sum Pinot Gris from the Palatinate was ok, but really nothing special and at €9 per glass it was simply far too expensive for what it was. So it's just no fun trying your way through the menu. Performance good, price unreasonably high!

Portions were ok..except the ribs..They were very clear. All in all, we unfortunately have to say that the service was unfriendly. No smile, no thanks for the tip, etc. We were a little disappointed. When I visited yesterday, the service was very poor as it was completely understaffed. The beer was warm and non-carbonated and the complaint was not addressed and only laconically stated that we should then drink bottled beer. But that came almost towards the end of the meal after repeated requests. The warm beers were also included on the bill. It's a shame for the 6-member birth party. In contrast to the beer, the food was unfortunately partly cold. It's a shame that my previous enthusiasm for this restaurant has suffered such a bitter setback.

The food was good, but really too expensive for the small amount. There were 4 of us and we ordered 2 whole Peking ducks and unfortunately that wasn't enough, really a shame given such a high price. It's also a real shame that there were fewer pancakes than pieces of duck meat in the basket, considering that these thin flat cakes cost a few cents to make but you have to pay €5 for an extra basket. Furthermore, we had to wait until the table could be assigned to us, even though the table was empty, we had reserved and an employee was just standing there - she could have just sat us down, but instead we had to wait until her colleague came after 10 minutes. We won't be coming back, the place is getting so much hype for no reason.

I didn't smell anything other than what I ordered. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The food came out quite quickly. Delicious and appetizing. I ordered the fried beans, they were a little too salty for me without the rice, but they were crispy and cooked well. I will come back.

You come in and it smells like an ancient, musty carpet like in a cinema. Unfortunately it is mass production. And then we saw one thing: leftover rice is put back into the rice cooker and then served to others! The health department must take action here. We paid 150 euros for two (!!!) for mediocre food!
