This restaurant is our regular destination in Hamburg. So far we have never been disappointed. We visited the restaurant with a small group but also with up to 8 people. Service is friendly and quick. “Standard Asian dishes” are represented and still tasty. There are also many “special dishes”. Reservation is definitely recommended!

We would like to introduce a delightful dining hall that we enjoy—我们的饭堂. This is an authentic dim sum restaurant located close to Hamburg Central Station, known especially for its good service and friendly staff. We highly recommend visiting if you have the opportunity. We look forward to returning there in the near future.

Service is as busy as a construction site. The guest is perceived as a nuisance and cannot expect any consideration. Treatment and approach are very arrogant, new guests don't seem wanted. Food is worth the visit.

Very good, but the starters are already hard on the wallet

The quality of the food is simply not sufficient. Duck like rubber, sticky rice, consistency of the sauce almost too thick, everything only lukewarm. Some of the fried dumpings were soft and didn't seem freshly fried. The prices are simply far too high in relation to the taste and quality, around 50€/person. There are no real side dishes either, everything can be ordered in the form of whole dishes starting at around €20. The ambience is authentic and beautiful, hence a second point.

Authentic Cantonian cuisine in the Dim Sum House – a real insider tip I was recently at the Dim Sum House in Hamburg and I was thrilled. As soon as you enter you can feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere - the staff are friendly, attentive and absolutely accommodating. But the real highlight is the Cantonian cuisine: Anyone who has only ever known “normal Chinese food” is in for a surprise here. The dishes are originally Chinese, finely balanced, aromatic and handcrafted to a high standard - real culinary cinema! Particularly recommended: spare ribs or the tender Iberico meat in a spicy-sweet sauce – incredibly tasty. The variety of dim sum and warm dishes shows how exciting and varied Cantonian cuisine can be. Conclusion: A restaurant that can be recommended without reservation - a real must for lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine.

Super good dim sum. Quality and taste were excellent. The staff was very friendly and I also liked the atmosphere. I will definitely come back, even if it is a long way from Switzerland. But it's definitely worth it.

Once upon a time... Whenever we were in Hamburg, this restaurant was always on our agenda. It was very good before but now?? What is this going on? The Peking duck was a Peking chick… the cucumber salad was not to be enjoyed and the fish had nothing to do with traditional preparation. The male service had no idea, the female ones were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment in terms of taste and has nothing to do with the restaurant from before. You can also expect something from the prices. It now seems to be mass instead of class. It's not enough to always present yourself elegantly in all the reports... It's a shame... it was our last visit there

Food very good. Service unfortunately overwhelmed. We had reserved for 10, there was only a table for 9 including a chair. After 1 hour and asking 4 times, it was fixed. It was a challenge to order anything, especially drinks. We would certainly have consumed more in total, but we were rarely given the opportunity to order anything and occasionally went to the counter because we were constantly ignored. Too bad.

Save yourself, the good times are over. Mediocre service, food really just mediocre. The shop lives from the name and from the tourists. Price/performance simply doesn't fit here.

Very nice service. The Peking duck menu was a small experience. However, the tables for two could be a little larger for a menu.

The second we walked in we was smacked in the voice by an old musty odor, then we was greeted by a most un-enthusiastic women who didn't even look at us, just put some menus on the table and walked away, we could not even have a second to decide as every 5 seconds they’d come up to us asking us our order like bro give us a second. After getting the food it was bland, dry and tasted like cement 🤮 They then took there sweet time giving us our check. Like they was all so rude and contumelious Terrible customer service, graceless staff and cement like food Over priced nonsense Snobby and incompetent AVOID this place!!!!

The food was very bland, there were hardly any vegetables but there were a lot of onions. There was an older Asian woman at the reception who wasn't very nice and rather grumpy. The spring roll was very dry

Unfortunately my food wasn't what I imagined. The half Peking duck was probably a baby with small legs and no wings. There was fillet on the menu, but there was hardly any meat on it. As a side dish I would have liked something more than just a few dry soy sauces and cucumber. The sauce was very tasty, but I didn't know exactly what to do with so much sauce since I didn't have any rice or anything like that. As a starter I had the steamed pork ribs. There were 6-7 boiled bones 1 cm long. The person who got the soup that was previously made from it also got the meat that was supposed to be on the ribs. My wife's vegetarian dish was excellent and generous. Unfortunately, I had to go to a steakhouse afterwards to satisfy my hunger. Unfortunately, it was the worst Asian meal I've ever had. Sorry

Even though I had the most delicious fried noodles there, the restaurant didn't impress me. This was mainly because the crispy duck consisted more of breading and fat than meat. And the price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. I think 10 euros for fried noodles and 24 euros for crispy duck with rice are overpriced.

Very authentic Chinese food. The Peking duck was fantastic. The service could be a little warmer. We would go there more often, but the prices are really crazy. The great Chinese dishes to share, such as beans, cost €19, which we think is too much.

I had reserved a round table by the window a few weeks in advance and this was confirmed via @mail. Unfortunately, the service employee wasn't informed, and after some back and forth the young man made it possible. We had the Peking duck menu for 4 people, it was all very tasty!! but duck could have been a larger portion.

A very centrally located Chinese restaurant with fantastic dishes and quick service. It's very nice to sit in and there's a lot to admire. Delicious crispy wontons, Peking duck with great sauces, tender wild broccoli - simply heavenly!

We ordered the Peking duck menu for 4 people, which was just a perfect decision. The recommended wine with it was also perfect, it went perfectly. The service with clear communication.

In the past, a visit to the Dim Sum House was always a highlight. After our visit this week I'm rather disappointed. The service has deteriorated and the prices have increased significantly (glass of wine 9€). Above all, I was very disappointed that no warming plates were served. Only melamine dishes for rice and meat are definitely better!

Save your money!!! Worst service I have ever experienced. After 20 minutes without any conditions, I looked for the contact - there wasn't much going on - and was *actively* ignored. The duck was at most half a duck, not spicy and totally limp. The service was subpar, I have never experienced this worse. One of the worst, if not THE, worst restaurant in Hamburg in terms of service and price/performance ratio.

Highly praised, so I tried this location. The food is tasty, in an atmosphere that has remained in the 70s. However, I don't think the price-performance ratio is such that I would come back again. There are other locations that I would prefer.

The food was delicious. Price performance, expensive. We weren't full. See picture we paid around €60 for a few dumplings and half a duck + 2 drinks. The half duck felt like it was just skin and for that it cost €36, that's just for enjoyment and not for hunger. The employees are weird. They look at you briefly and immediately turn their heads again. I understand when there's a lot to do, but simply saying "I'll be with you in a moment" would be friendlier. It took forever before we could order drinks. Trying to pay also felt like forever. The 2 stars are just for the taste of the duck. The dumplings had too much ginger and were not well seasoned (to my taste)

It's an authentic Chinese restaurant with a meal at Larita's price range. The selection of duck dishes is wonderful and worth every variation. The service is first class and the decor and overall ambience is wonderful.

Extremely overpriced food for being frozen. This really takes advantage of the fact that most customers have never really eaten Asian food. A good ambience does not necessarily mean good food or fair prices.

We sat in the booth at the back to the right of the entrance and unfortunately had a constant whistling noise from the ventilation in our ears. Unfortunately that wasn't very pleasant. The food was super tasty and the service was also friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait a little longer whenever we wanted to order something new because we were sitting in a rather hidden corner.

I had previously watched a video about Peking duck. In the video, the Peking Duck from Dim Sum was very glossed over. Unfortunately, in reality it wasn't like that. The duck arrived lukewarm and was 50% cartilage and fat. We paid €40 for half a duck that didn't even feed one person. Unfortunately not recommended.

We are happy every time we are in Hamburg and were here for the second time to eat the Peking duck. It's such a shame that this isn't available here in Düsseldorf without a menu option. Great ambience, really authentic, nice staff, unbeatable Peking duck! It couldn't be better! 🇨🇳🦆🥟

Delicious authentic Cantonese food in Hamburg. The dishes offers great taste and made from fresh ingredients.

Our food was brought to us with the note that the rice would be freshly cooked shortly. Nothing happened for five minutes. The food was almost cold. We pointed this out to the senior manager. She apologized and said we'd get a new meal. A few minutes later, we received our 'new' meal. But it was the same, lukewarm at best. After another complaint, we finally got a new meal. I've never experienced anything like this before. What a shame.

After another table was made available to us, it was a very nice evening overall

Good food, service ok, but a big minus. We had reserved a table for 2 people and upon arrival we were informed that there was no other option than to sit at a table for 12 people. Then people who hadn't made reservations were seated at the same table. I felt that was too low a guest appreciation.

Good and authentic Chinese cuisine.

Today was the first time I went there after a recommendation. My husband had the beef goulash and the chicken feet. I had the pointed cabbage, the fried shrimp dumplings, and the Buddha rolls, which were also fried. For drinks, he had a beer, and I had the Juzu lemonade, which simply tasted of bitter lemon. The shrimp dumplings smelled awfully of stale human urine when I bit into them. I had to spit them into my napkin and couldn't continue eating them. I've eaten Chinese food and batter-coated shrimp many, many times, but they've never smelled so bad! I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had this experience and what was it that smelled so bad? Okay, mistakes can happen. I must have chosen the wrong one. So I ordered the vegetarian Buddha rolls. These too (not quite as extreme), but also unbearable for me, smelled of stale urine inside and ended up in the napkin. There was something jelly-like in it that wasn't listed on the menu. It couldn't have been dough, because the rolls were made of mushrooms, bamboo, and carrots wrapped in tofu skin. Simply awful. When I asked, the head waitress couldn't tell me which ingredient it was that smelled so pungent, but she admitted that it contained MSG, which I also couldn't find listed on the menu for the dish. The overpriced bowl of pointed cabbage with the three newt mushrooms, as well as the rice, were quite tasty. The slow-cooked goulash was good, but lacked seasoning. The chicken feet were unfortunately very difficult to eat. The bones didn't come off easily at all, so my husband felt uncomfortable eating them in public. We would have appreciated a recommendation on how they should be eaten. That makes €82.50 for two people. Ignorant service, terrible food, overpriced. Just because there are newspaper reports and a photo of Tim Mälzer on the wall doesn't mean it's a good store. Not again.

There were four of us in this restaurant Based on the positive reviews, it doesn't necessarily agree. We waited almost 2 hours for food, and our 4 colleague got his food 15 hours after we had already finished eating. Not recommended!!!

We had Peking duck for 2 people. The starter soup was very bland, i.e. unseasoned, and I didn't like the garnish either. For the main course, the duck was very dry, neither tender nor crispy, and the garnish was topped with a dry carrot decoration. The cucumber salad should be highlighted positively. The chips are not filling. Two scoops of ice cream with a wafer roll doesn't explain the total price of over €60 to me either. That was a waste of money!

We were at the Dim Sum House for the first time and were not disappointed. In addition to two very tasty soups, we opted for the original Cantonese plate dishes and were thrilled by the great quality and variety of flavors for a surprisingly affordable price.

We were with a small group and made reservations in advance, the first drinks only came after over an hour, the food was never delivered with any side dishes, some of the food never came and when we asked about the missing components, they only came after half an hour. The dishes were served lukewarm on cold plates. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait 45 minutes for our bill and asked for it twice more. All in all, the food was mediocre, overpriced, the service was subpar and the ambience was average. Unfortunately, we could not understand the good reputation and will not visit this restaurant again.

Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for the first DimSums... my pointed cabbage main course was overpriced for the bit of cabbage, the caramelized eggplant consisted half of peppers (not mentioned on the menu... I can't tolerate peppers and didn't think they went well with the dish) Half the duck was skin with almost no meat! My husband was very disappointed! There were also some vegetables and a kind of crepe for wrapping sticks. The little bit of duck for almost €40 was tasty, but you can imagine more with 1/2 duck. All in all: overpriced, too long of a wait and even the sesame balls with red bean paste - which I usually love - were only moderately tasty. Unfortunately we don't recommend it

Well located. Staff were very accommodating. Loved the ambiance. Sometimes dishes were good while others were inedible. No consistency. It was a nice evening but would not return. Value for money is low.

I am very disappointed! It was supposed to be special and was the opposite! €24 per person at lunchtime... crazy! it wasn't enough... the sauce wasn't enough and I'm still at a loss for words when it comes to the rice... a cereal bowl made of PLASTIC with the note... *the rice is for both of them*! Rice was brought in...but reluctantly. The table urgently needs to be wiped clean after EVERY guest!!! In a restaurant with such prices, more care, friendliness and, above all, NO PLASTIC should be a given! These people won't see me again!

We ordered 3 DimSum per person and shared everything. The food was great. The service was very nice and attentive. Reservations on the weekend are definitely recommended! We will definitely eat here again.

I went there because of the famous Peking duck. She was good, if not great. The ambience is great and the service is very nice.

Never experienced eating à la carte with a time limit of 2 hours! We arrived at 10 to 6, so we were told that we had to end at half past seven because that 10 minutes earlier than the discussed time counted for half an hour. No time for dessert or coffee, for example. The Dim Sum and the main course were delicious.

Very pleasant. A place where there is a pleasant calm to enjoy. And there are lots of goodies to enjoy! We really enjoyed the food there.

Best authentic Chinese Food in Hamburg!

There were three of us at Dim SIM Haus and we had five small starters, a main course of beef and a whole duck for two people. Two starters were great, the rest were average. Duck & beef was good but not outstanding. With a few drinks and a tip, we ended up with a bill of €300. That's pretty steep! The lychee spritz was just like a juice spritzer and for €10. The service was on point, but unfortunately not very friendly. The waiting times were very positive! We probably won't come back anyway.

Great restaurant. Had the Peking duck, was unfortunately disappointed, very dry and cold. Can't understand the YouTubers' videos. If you were allowed to eat the original in Beijing, it was better. Service friendly. I went there again a few days later to eat dim sum and was much more convinced of the quality.

Exceptionally authentic atmosphere. Big variety of dishes to pick from. Our favorites were the duck and the 828 Xiao Long Bao Soup. Just delicious, we were speechless from first bite. Amazed by the yuzu lemonade as well. Service was very friendly and nice they explained how the duck rice paper rolls work. A bit pricey but definitely worth the money as it’s a special eating experience. Cool date idea

It used to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Hamburg. But a hefty price increase in combination with smaller and significantly poorer quality dishes unfortunately doesn't go together. Service also did not develop positively, standing in front of the entrance rope for 5 minutes despite a reservation without being noticed - also a bit unusual. Our next table waited about 15 minutes for the bill. Everything is no longer good and unfortunately removed from the list, which is a shame ☹️

This restaurant is good, the service is very nice and friendly. It is very hyped on the internet so we tested it and have to say, the food is good but no different than any other Chinese restaurant. The prices are a bit too high in our opinion.

The food was quite expensive for what we got. My curry should be spicy. It was lightly seasoned and had hardly any vegetables or meat in it.
