Great food and very friendly staff

One of my favorite places in Berlin. It’s a very cute little restaurant and the food is real soul food. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options that taste super fresh and you don’t end up feeling heavy, just content and comfortable. It’s a very homey cozy experience, also because of the lovely staff. I recommend this place to everyone!

I read about this institution a long time ago and really wanted to visit it. Finally, such an opportunity arose, so they stopped by. Friendly staff, very tasty dishes, large portions. We ate only borscht, we took the other dishes with us, so it was enough for dinner :) I expected something different from the place itself, but it is not so important for a good meal. It didn't spoil the impression) If you miss Ukrainian dishes, I recommend visiting the restaurant or ordering delivery

Lots of delicious vegetarian Ukrainian dishes, both hearty and sweet, freshly prepared in the back. The hot drinks are made behind the counter, the cold drinks are in the refrigerator at the entrance. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly, personal, warm. Be sure to go and treat yourself to culinary delights.

Unfortunately a very bad experience. There was hardly any service, we were served more poorly than well. The menu is simply a few printed sheets of old, crumpled plain paper. Looks scary... The food was ok, but nothing special. During the meal, the two women who worked there stood outside the door and smoked. All the smoke came in and just made the food terribly unappetizing. My drink was already past its best before date, but we only saw this when I had already finished it. In the end we were billed, no receipt and nothing, just a little scribble on a piece of paper. When we paid, the woman rounded up the change so she got more. We were already too exhausted and didn't feel like discussing things. Absolutely no recommendation! It's audacious to charge €20 per person for such terrible service and average food!

Absurdly bad. The two women smoked outside the door after they brought the food. Of course the smoke came in so that all you could taste was cigarettes. My soda was expired by two months. Prepared as a side dish, not fresh coleslaw. An ambience and service as if they were just a bother. And ridiculously expensive. Not recommendable!

Very nice girl Marina who works there! Greeted warmly, explained everything, brought food very quickly. I ordered dumplings with potatoes. The portion is not large, enough for one person. With dumplings they brought vegetables and salad and very tasty sauerkraut (although I don't usually eat it, but I couldn't resist here...) everything is good, but the cafe itself doesn't look very tidy... but that's normal for Germany. Next time I'm in Berlin, I'll definitely stop by!

Inattentive service not present at the front of the restaurant. You always had to go to the kitchen if you wanted to order or pay. Other potential guests left because no one came forward. The food was okay, but the dumplings with sauce were not very seasoned and the side dishes were not cold but room temperature, which didn't taste particularly good with the coleslaw and carrot salad.

My first impression was very positive, and the food was delicious. I will definitely go again when I get the chance. The service was also very good. Overall, I found the atmosphere very pleasant and cozy. I felt very well. I can absolutely recommend it.

A very pleasant and cozy place. They were with their son. My son is 9 years old and it is very interesting that you can see how real varenyki are prepared, because they are cooked right outside the window and you can see the whole process.

Tasteless and stale food; Pelmeni and vareniki have almost no filling. Very unpleasant atmosphere, it stinks inside. Food doesn't match the price. If you want to try Ukrainian food, you'd better choose another restaurant.

This food is simply heavenly. I suppose it combines Ukrainian cuisine with the desire for vegetables. I had pemeni with spinach and cheese sauce. It was delicious.

Delicious Ukrainian cuisine. The atmosphere wasn't that inviting, but the dishes were even more delicious. There could be a little more on your plate to fill you up or you could simply order a dessert.

Exceptional food. Good service, good radio playing pop/rock songs like Tears For Fears, Robbie Williams etc. The best Solyanka soup I have eaten in years! Chicken pelmeni were also superb. Glory to Ukraine!

We had a nice dinner here. It was my second time here and both times I didn’t have any issues with the food or personnel. Borscht was delicious, and syrniki here are one of the best in Berlin. It’s sad to read such negative reviews about this place and I hope it will get better!

Шок,честно. Переплюнули даже дешманские дёнерские. Борщ кислый . Тесто на пельмени замешивали рядом с моим столиком, найс вид. Вход на кухню, из которой доносятся маты, через туалет. Обслуживание.... мне пришлось ждать вторую часть заказа пока умнички девчонки покурят. Скатерть . Нахрена в заведении есть скатерть на одном столе и та вся заляпанная соусами ? На столовых приборах были частички предыдущей еды 🤢. Какая-то бэдэга.

Incredibly delicious; the perfect place to go on a rainy and/or cold day. Soulfood! Absolutely love that our server suggested we order a different sauce because it would go better with our main dish. A bit expensive, but when you consider how much food you get for it (portion size) it is well worth it. Would maybe be nice to have some more drink options on the menu. Will definitely recommend it to others and come again. For breakfast next time!

Вареники з картоплею - найкращі, які тільки можна знайти в Берліні! Обслуговування кількома мовами і дуже затишне місце! Дуже рекомендую бо й сама скоро піду до них на борщ😉

Честно не знаю как вас оценивать, потому что мне ничего не понравилось, но убивать потенциал не хочется. Но минусы действительно перекрывают плюсы. Борщ не вау, норм, пампушек не было. Колорит заведения кринж полный, безвкусная кафешка из нулевых. Когда мне дали меню в руки его вид меня очень расстроил. Не рекомендую

Дружелюбный персонал, но само место скорее маленькая кафешка с вайбом 90-х, чем ресторан. Выбор ограничен довольно сильно (часто чего-то нет). Цены относительно адекватны. Порадовало то, что в заведении тихо и спокойно, а не как везде. Холодной (почти) подачи блинчиков не особо понял, мне кажется тёплыми было бы получше. Порции довольно маленькие, но мне это даже в плюс. 3 звезды за хорошее отношение) Главная проблема - район. Настолько опасный, что я слабо представляю, почему и как эти отважные женщины там работают. Переезд в район поприличнее сделал бы только лучше. Upd. Атмосфера лёгкого раздолбайства превратилась в тяжёлый декаданс. В последний раз я наткнулся на позицию, которую они могли сделать, с ЧЕТВЕРТОГО РАЗА. Не было абсолютно ничего (процентов 80 меню), включая даже чая и кофе, потому что "сломался аппарат" и отопления в зимние холода. Работала за всех одна абсолютно демотивированная девушка, а остальной персонал едва появлялся на виду. Это плевок в лицо, а не обслуживание. Больше и близко не подойду.

Es ist ein kleiner süßer Laden und man kann es sich bequem machen. Sehr nett bedient worden. Essen fand ich leider nicht Speziell, hat alles bisschen geschmeckt wie Zuhause, was ja kein Problem ist aber dafür dann schon etwas teuer. ( ist ja alles Geschmacksache)

HUGE RED FLAGS! 🚩🚩Absolutely disgraceful, and completely fraudulent. We went for a late brunch with some friends, and ordered 2 plates each. The lady working there took our order on a piece of blank paper, writing down each and everything. Then she asked us what she has written, but okay. She was sweet and we were having a good time. The food arrived, and the trouble started. One friend didn't get his meal at all because they ended up forgetting about it (even though the lady wrote down everything and had us double check). The galoushki I ordered was tasteless, poorly seasoned, bland, and just a heaping portion of disgraceful mush. The syrniki was okay. Still, we didn't complain. Then, another friend got a wrong dish and told the lady that it is not what she ordered. She insisted that it is, arguing that somehow a dish with chocolate and walnut is "vanilla". We ended up sending it back, and she got the correct dish later. Still, we didn't complain. Then the bill came. Except the bill was the blank paper on which she wrote our order and the price, and she wrote the total sum. The number felt too rounded, so we recalculated using a calculator and found out she ROUNDED UP the total price without telling us. Still, we decided to leave it as tip. Since they only accept cash, we paid in cash. Then the trembling, sweet lady suddenly turned on us and said our bills are not good because it's the old Euro bill. We said it's old bill but still good. Then she asked the next table, and they confirmed it's still good. Then she told us to not go anywhere and wait, and asked other tables, which all confirmed that the bills are good. She told us to wait even longer and went to the next door shop to confirm it's still good. Then, she said okay, we can go. We didn't appreciate how we were being treated as criminals. So we decided to ask for a legitimate quittung/rechnung- an actual receipt, not a blank piece of white paper on which she wrote down our order. She smiled and said don't worry about it. We insisted, and she suddenly HUGGED AND ATTEMPTED TO KISS ONE OF OUR FRIENDS ON HER CHEEK! The friend pushed her away because obviously this kind of behaviour is disgusting. We demanded the receipt, then she continued to pretend to be a fickle lady with smiles to send us away. We continued to insist, and another lady showed us some paper saying they don't have the system to print the bills and she can handwrite it. The paper did not even have the name of the restaurant and necessary details to be a legal receipt. THIS RESTAURANT IS CONDUCTING SALES WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO ISSUE RECEIPT. That is highly illegal. We only left because we knew there was no other way. I understand - this is some potentially friendly brick and mortar place. We can overlook the bad food, terrible service, and depressing atmosphere. But to treat us like criminals, then suddenly pretending to be our loving grandmother when asked to actually abide the law - this is DISGUSTING. They believe they can get away with this because people are naturally kind. We naturally overlook these things because we want to be helpful and show support during these times. Yet this restaurant has been operating for some time and this seems to be their standard behaviour. Absolutely cannot be tolerated. Never again.

My food was okay but other dish I tried from my friend was really bad. But the service was terrible. It is a very sweet old lady who can melt your heart. But then messes up orders multiple times. And they don’t issue receipts. That’s really not okay.

Delicious food cooked with care, attention to detail and high quality ingredients. It feels homely and the service is perfect. I am deffinitely coming back to try more dishes. :)

Alles hat unterdurchschnittlich geschmeckt, soljanka Fade und sehr dünn, Borscht ungewürzt. Pelemeni komplett zerkocht und ungenießbar, außerdem adjika und „legendäre“ Brot waren nicht dabei :/

The food was decent and the portions were generous. I tried the Ukrainian-style gnocchi. I'm personally not a fan of handwritten bills. Also I wish they had a drinks menu so you didn't have to guess what the price will eventually be.

Mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant war zwiespältig. Die Dame , die uns bedient hat, war freundlich aber aufgrund von Sprachproblemen war die Bestellung schwierig. Meine Kollege und ich wollten ein Bier bestellen. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass kein Bier mehr vorhanden sei. Es wurde uns Wein angeboten, den es aber nur in der Geschmacksrichtung halbtrocken gab. Wir haben jeweils Kartoffel-Wareniki mit Champignon-Soße und klassische Galuschki bestellt. Geliefert wurde aber die Spinat-Käse-Wareniki, beide Gerichte wurden in der exakt gleichen Sahne-Soße serviert, wobei die Soße für Wareniki extra mit 3.50 Euro bezahlt werden musste. Der Geschmack der Soße war nicht besonders komplex (Zwiebel und Speck gebräunt, Salz, Pfeffer und dann mit Sahne aufgefüllt). Die Wareniki waren geschmacklich in Ordnung und mein Galuschki sehr weich und eher neutral (fad) im Geschmack. Irgendwann während unseres Aufenthaltes wurde eine Kiste Bier geliefert, welches aber ungekühlt war. Das ganz Restaurant erinnert eher an einen Schnellimbiß mit Sitzplätzen, die Abläufe im Restaurant wirken amateurhaft.

Милое маленькое кафе с уютным интерьером. Вкусная еда, большие порции и адекватные цены. Рекомендуются не только горячие блюда, но и десерты. Это очень круто.

Alle drei Gerichte, die wir hatten, waren leider sehr fade und haben nicht geschmeckt. Auch das Ambiente war nicht ansprechend und der Service machte einen unorganisierten Eindruck. Daher können wir das Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Fand das Essen leider nicht so gut. Das Grüne Shakshuka hat nichts mit grün zu tun, sondern erinnerte mich an ne Gemüsepfanne mit Feta! Die Zutaten waren matschig und passten nicht zusammen. Allgemein hatte ich den Eindruck, dass das "Restaurant" unorganisiert und hektisch ist!

Wirklich unsagbar leckeres, selbstgemachtes und frisches Essen mit nur authentischen Gerichten. Man kann sich auch raus setzen. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist nicht zu gering aber auch nicht so in Überfluss, dass man sich nicht entscheiden kann, also genau perfekt. Das Borschtsch was sehr lecker, sowohl in der veganen als auch in der normalen Variante. Einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche gab es auch noch on top. Die blinis als hauptgericht und auch die ukrainische Galushki waren sehr sehr lecker. Auch die Größe der Portionen war sehr gut wobei hierbei den blinis es etwas mehr hätte sein können. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lediglich das Ambiente im Restaurant selbst könnte man etwas optimieren ansonst gibt es wirklich wenig Kritik. Gerne wieder!

Never never never go in this Place, they serve teflon pfanne to the people with food inside, pretending u gonna eat the food with a Fork from a teflon pfanne. Unbelievable. They dont speak german they dont speak english. This Place should disappear.

The food was good. Not the exact Gnocchi that one sees but a good one. The portion can be a little bit bigger.

Pelmeni were average at best, Quarkkuchen was also so so, and Bortsch was not great either. It is not the best Ukrainian restaurant in Berlin

The place is not what it is advertised as on their website looking bright and cheery, plus, unfortunately, the reviews here are also misleading with the praise they give to the atmosphere. Food might be good and probably is as I didn’t oder many dishes, but in this case it’s not enough as I really think I will never go back. This is a sad place in a way that it has so much potential because as I said the food is good but…and that’s a big but, things are just off. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the windows and glass vitrines keeping cakes were ( it looked like someone had smashed a cake or some food on window high above and never bothered to clean it up), how dead flies hung behind the flag that was taped on window, how flowers on pots where unkept and dry. Half way waiting for my food I had already lost my appetite. There was a random mini Christmas tree in a plastic take away soup container looking absurd. Lighting was not pleasant, there was a table and chairs right in front of the counter so one had to lean awkwardly over the furniture to make the payment…the place looked like someone’s messy living room rather than a restaurant where a small bowl of soup costs 7.50€ and I am 95% sure was warmed up in a microwave as the warmth of it was uneven. And I kept hearing a bing from the back regularly whilst other clients were waiting. To top it all off, there was an unpleasant radio station with advertisements as a background music. Service was slow, received food and then had to wait for cutlery what seemed like long time. Also, no proper receipt and if I was going to have one offered, then it was going to be handwritten on a small piece of paper. As I said, just off..unpleasant experience. I think people who run it could make it much more then it is. It doesn’t take much. Cleaning could be a good start. Did I say I won’t return? Well, I want to go back and try more on the menu but maybe when there is sitting outside. Soup was tasty though. Hence two stars. I hope the owners take note of this review and take it as a constructive feedback and adjust accordingly. Good luck! x

Great food. When we got there they were preparing the dumplings in fron of us so it's for sure handmade. The waiters could have been more friendly and more professionally attired.

A small restaurant where you can get Ukrainian food. The interior and the atmosphere felt a bit not so cosy. There is no drink card menu. The service was friendly, but a bit slow I guess due to less personal. The food we ordered was good. In the end we got free shots and Ukrainian sweets, that was nice :)

The place and the ladies who manage it are really nice and warm. I tried the pelmeni with salmon with spinach/walnuts sauce and I was a bit disappointed. Pelmeni did not taste much and spinach released too much water in the plate. But worth a visit.

I was rather disappointed with the food (my borscht was lukewarm, small and had almost no meat in it, my friend’s dish was also neither hot nor tasty) and service was very, very slow. 22€ for a dinner we didn’t particularly enjoyed. We won’t return which is a shame since I was excited to find a Ukrainian restaurant.
